5421  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Online Wallet Recovery Services on: March 10, 2021, 06:55:41 PM
Do you know what you are talking about?

Do you need to use any wallet recovery service if you have seeds or private key of your bitcoin wallet?
What are private keys or mnemonic seeds used for?
Maybe you did not get what I meant, try to read and understand before quoting someone's post.

If seed phrase or private key to the bitcoin is well protected, will the OP need recovery service? No.

Only the seed phrase or the private key is enough to recover the bitcoin.

What comes to your mind when ever people discuss Crypto currency? Does imaginations with lovely fantasies colour your mind or you only get stucked in the Midst of opportunity open you generate a life lasting fortune for you and your generation unborn?
What comes my mind is that some people are missing when crypto market is so young, this is still the best time to take the opportunity and gain from cryptocurrencies. But keeping in mind potent ways to lose like DeFi, ICO, scam tactics and going for shitcoins instead of profitable coins like bitcoin.

I think about bitcoin and happy there is a lot of profit I will make at this early stage before it becomes like gold or more than gold in the future.
5423  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Online Wallet Recovery Services on: March 10, 2021, 04:22:17 PM
I can not trust a recovery service, most will ask for seed phrase, assuming I give a recovery service my seed phrase and was able to recover back the wallet but tells me he was unable to, that means my bitcoin all lost, who will know if he did or he did not recover back the wallet? No one will be able to. It will be good to have all possible means to protect our seed phrase which is just the only task, if lost, it can lead to permanent loss of our bitcoin.
5424  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Adding passphrase to trezor is essential on: March 10, 2021, 04:16:18 PM
The same can be said with the ledger nano right?  But isn't trezor open source or close source which make it suspectible to hacking?
Ledger nano is close source, it generates its seed phrase through secure element, the secure element can not make this to happen, but I can not trust close source wallets either be hardware or online. Trezor has no secure element, this makes it possible to reveal seed phrase if stolen, but if passphrase is used, you are still safe, it will also be most safe to use a strong passphrase that will be very difficult to brute force.
5425  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Issues with Binance on: March 10, 2021, 07:59:08 AM
cz said on twitter in januuary that they are using new methods besides vpn to catch people from restricted areas. many reports of peoples vpn not working.
Which means it is not about vpn, it is about people residing in restricted countries, I too at times but not often uses vpn, and if I use, there is nothing that happens, binance already know me to be from a particular country which will only make them understand that I used it for privacy.
5426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: how much will ripple be worth in 5 years? on: March 10, 2021, 07:49:53 AM
But what about the unfinished SEC problems, I'm sure the case will take a long time. Can Ripple win it? If yes it might be up to $5 but if not I think it will be difficult.
Ripple can not win that obvious lawsuit, ripple CEO uses his own ripple which is not his and sold it to generate over $1.3 billion, that is obvious lawsuit he can not win, but even if ripple did not win it, there are chances investors from Africa and Asia will support the coin but it's growth with still be significantly affect negatively. If ripple lose the case, expect its price to come down very low again, but if won, many US investors that have sold their ripple will buy back which will increase ripple price above $1 imminent to after the lawsuit is over.
5427  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.com responsible for loss of clients funds on: March 10, 2021, 07:37:46 AM
Right from the moment I have known about cryptocurrencies, the most wallet complained about is blockchain wallet, and most of the complains are list funds, but I can not say blockchain wallet official is responsible for this, but it is not a good wallet to use, it is a web wallet, web wallets are the most vulnerable wallet to attacks. Also, I can not say their officials are innocent, they might have a backdoor, but I am not certain about this. But not using the wallet is good, for online wallet, desktop wallets are the best, if not having computer, then going for mobile wallet is better.
5428  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Bittrex's fake website is available in online. on: March 09, 2021, 04:00:49 PM
Making use of antivirus are effective to block fake ads and many legit ones that look fake
Making use of ublocker is also blocking ads more than effectively
Visit the right sites and be sure
Make use of good search engines like duckduckgo for businesses not google or bing that will expose you to scammers
Use good browsers like duckduckgo not chrome, safari or windows explorer
Make use of Tor when needed
5429  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Low quality topics on: March 09, 2021, 03:51:43 PM
Also not long I saw a topic that only contain link, no any other comment than the link, such topics will may not be deleted by moderators but are considered low quality.

Always make sure you search for topics you want to create, there could have been many more of such topics, people may not post under this kind one if there are already existing ones.

If you are making topics, read the contents like three time before posting it, correct any typo error.

Do not discuss on what you do not know about, only on those that you know, you may think you may get it right, but you can make wrong topics in such way, this can let some members to put your account on ignore.

Reading more and knowing more will make your topics and post not poor like before.
5430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This Crypto Looks So Good For Future Investment. on: March 09, 2021, 02:52:11 PM
its actually on CMC. this page https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/hackspace-capital/
the data says a lot about the project. it appears like there is a market for HAC before it got delisted. hard to get listed on any exchange today particularly to a coin that has its own blockchain unlike having an ERC20 token that they could just like on Uniswap and the likes. with something like HAC, it's a long way from where they are.
That coin is not Hackspace Capital (HAC), it is Hashcash (HAC), I did not see the coin on coinmarketcap. This is just an evidence that this is not a right coin to buy at this time, but if anyone buy it, it is left to them if anything like scam result.
5431  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how to spot Bitcoin and Defi Scam on: March 09, 2021, 02:41:43 PM
What I have known about DeFi is that it is not yet safe, there are some DeFi projects that even some professionals may risk and later lead to classic exit. DeFI is just like the ICO scam, but they are more complex in a way the scam are more complex too, you can invest on DeFi and lose all the money in just few days, that is why I still do not prefer to make us of such projects until DeFi are safe to use, but as of now, there are many new projects that are nothing but scams. I read about DeFi scam often, the last time I read about it was even less than a week or two ago about the recent one that stole millions of dollars from people.
5432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This Crypto Looks So Good For Future Investment. on: March 09, 2021, 08:02:15 AM
Is the coin HAC? You should at least leave some comments than just posting the link, I do not see much about the coin, no link to the coin than the one you posted above that does not reveal anything, make some comments in the OP board and tell us more about the coin.

I will like people to know to be careful of altcoins, some coins are just scam, the coin above HACASH is not on coinmarketcap, I say another one instead which is also HAC called Hackspace Capital (HAC), this just mean that any coin not listed on coinmarketcap should not be considered a legit coin until it is listed there.
5433  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reminder for crypto newbies, traders. Be cautious with new exchanges on: March 09, 2021, 07:51:37 AM
It will be good to move this to beginners and help, or scam accusation, but for beginners to gain from it, will be good to move it to beginners and help. There are exchanges like that, it is called scam exit. Before using an exchange, it is good to make detailed research about them because some are scam while some projects are just scam, either scam exit or pump and dump. Also after researches, it is also good to focus on the coins listed, new coins are often risky to dump while many are just scam that will lead to classic scam exit. There is nothing better than to invest in bitcoin or invest in strong ones that you know are not scam, altcoins like ethereum, polkadot, litecoin, cardona and of the category.
5434  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Artificial Intelligence Engine App predicts price movements on: March 09, 2021, 07:44:42 AM
The app will send you a alert to buy or sell before major price movements before they happen.
What about normal price trends like daily price forecast when there will not be major price move but yet the price will increase in a way day traders can gain.

Also I will still have to tell new traders that they can not be successful in trading until they learn, expert traders can make use of all these things like bots but they primarily depends on the analyses which they make themselves and the patience they have.
5435  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kucoin advice on: March 09, 2021, 07:38:26 AM
There's some really interesting coins on there I simply cannot find on the other exchanges, and I just can't afford the gas on Uniswap. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Uniswap is good for holders and people that just want to convert from one coin to another, but for main trading like day trading, the best option you have is to make use of are custodial exchanges. If you are an US, you will need to still provide capital gain and pay the tax which will be good. Trading on noncustodial exchanges can make you pseudonymous and anonymous in some cases.

5437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: ETH was sucsses sending but no show on my wallet balance on: March 08, 2021, 06:34:14 PM
I doubt Binance will send his ETH to another unverified ETH address. It could be a typo for sure, but it might be a wallet problem as Bep mentioned above.

OP should double-check the address and his seed, if it all matches up then the wallet might be the culprit. Assuming the tx has no problem at all.
That is why I said he should check his transaction hash, although I have heard of such issue before if sending to an exchange in a way you will input the right address but will not reflect on the exchange after the transaction has been confirmed already, but that is deposited. In the case of withdrawal, I have never heard of the issue before, most like the person sent the ethereum to a wrong address.
5438  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Adding passphrase to trezor is essential on: March 08, 2021, 06:18:46 PM
Are there the same vulnerabilities for the ledger?
Ledger nano make use of secure element, this makes this impossible, but all hardware wallets I have browsed about that make use of secure element are all close source.

Doesn't exist or we don't know about it - these are completely different things.
The zero day market is actively working, and we will learn about many of the vulnerabilities of iPhones in a year or more.
For greater security, it is probably better to use a multisignature wallet from a ledger and trezor.
This will be very inconvenient, but for long-term hodling, a combination of different protection options would be an excellent option.
Multisig wallet has been the best even for software wallet, but it comes with inconveniences, about hardware wallet, the inconveniences will be more as more trezor will be needed to create the multisig. But it is even better to create multisig on online wallets as it is also safe if it is proerly created. If I want to use multisig, I will go for electrum multisig which is safe enough.
5439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: ETH was sucsses sending but no show on my wallet balance on: March 08, 2021, 09:25:53 AM
This is not about bitcoin transaction, you created this on the wrong board, move to Altcoins discussion.

Binance make use of around $10 worth of ethereum at recent ethereum price to process transaction, will will get the transaction confirmed as earliest as possible, you will have seen the ethereum on your wallet not more than some minutes after you sent it from binance.

What you will do now, go to binance, go to check the withdrawal history, click on the transaction, you will see the txid which you can be able to use to track the transaction, among the addresses seen on blockchain explorer, check if your address is among.
5440  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What are your Exchange preferences on: March 08, 2021, 09:05:35 AM
What would be a good exchange mobile app to use for trading coins?
Coinbase, coinbase pro
Or blockchain, blockchain exchange
Or would you recommend something else?
Blockchain is not a trading app, it is a wallet, but can be used for some trading and coin purchase but not an exchange. Out of all you mentioned, for exchanges, only Coinbase pro is valid. Only UK and American citizens are most commonly using this exchange, we that are not from such country make use of binance and some others, some can make use of others, but I have found binance to be a perfect exchange to use.
