5421  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't you think Bitcoin will die over the summer? on: June 04, 2021, 11:37:57 PM
Recently, the price of bitcoin has dropped by almost 1/3.  The beginning of May is 58 thousand, now it is already 38 thousand. The chart is steadily falling down.  Will Bitcoin die in the summer? Cheesy
Well, if bitcoin dies in the summer you can be sure it will ressurect after some time. That is how bitcoin works. FUDs are spread just until the weak hands put all their coins for sale, so the whales speculators buy the dip and a new bull run starts again right after. You have to choose what kind of investor you want to be: the holder or the weak hands.
I have never seen a holder regretting about their choices. On the flip side, I can't say the same about panic sellers. Be wise, pick the right strategy when investing in bitcoin.
5422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You hoping that the next coin Elon will hype is one of the coin you are holding on: June 04, 2021, 10:23:34 PM
Personally I don't expect anything from him and I think the more people continue hoping for his help, the more damage will be caused to bitcoin. And as we know, bitcoin drives crypto market, not Elon Musk or any other idol. If bitcoin does well, everything around will be also fine, but when bitcoin goes down, the whole market will suffer as well.
Investors centralizing someone on the top of crypto universe, moreover someone who recently totally changed his behavior towards bitcoin, is a big self-sabotage. It's like Troy's citizens welcoming and cheering the greek's wooden horse entering through the gates of the city.
5423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ohio offering lottery prize worth one million for those that get the COVID shot on: June 04, 2021, 09:36:26 PM
Ask yourself this question... Why would they offer Millions of Dollars for people to get vaccinated? Answer  : Money!!!! (leave all the conspiracy theories about how harmful these vaccines might be) They hope that enough people will get vaccinated, so that restrictions on the economy could be lifted, once heard immunity will be reached. (No restrictions = More businesses operating = More Taxes for governments)  Angry
That's the actual reason why they're encouraging people to get vaccinated, they all want to see their old lives back to normal. Their government is doing everything that will encourage everyone to just take the shot. As for the studies about the vaccine, it has lessened the hospitalization and mortality rate that covid 19 virus has brought. So it is backed by scientific fact but there really are people that don't want to get the vaccine because of those conspiracies.
Besides taxes, the government will also have less expenses on this sector if covid infections decrease. I'm not sure how efficient vaccines are going to be, but if it really works how it's supposed to, we are going to see less people hospitalized, what means less bills for health care providers and for the government to pay and more money for the government spend in another ways.
As governments are always avid for increasing the public receipts, they will do the best they can to end the pandemic faster as possible.
5424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: He said Bitcoin is a Scam: See What happened to Him on: June 04, 2021, 08:07:13 PM
If you were in my shoe, what would you've told a person that says bitcoin is a ponzi scheme created to scam people?
I think you acted correctly. Like you, first of all I would ask the person what are his arguments to say bitcoin is a ponzi. Depending the answer I would have to reply accordingly the presented situation, what wouldn't be an issue anyway, since bitcoin itself has nothing to do with ponzi schemes. People who make such claims don't know what they are talking about, or they just want to badmouth bitcoin for some shady reason.
If the person isn't educated about bitcoin yet I try to explain and make them understand it, however, if I see the person is talking maliciously I don't waste any time arguing and just move ahead.
5425  Economy / Economics / Re: Way's to improve growth economics on: June 04, 2021, 06:43:52 PM
Economic growth is dependant on productivity. Productivity is dependant on innovation and scientific advancement.

In practice the way this works is if one farmer can farm 5 acres of land. The introduction of horse drawn plows may have allowed him to farm 10 acres of land. With the development of petroleum fueled tractors allowing one farmer to farm 50+ acres of land. Growth and expansion of science and technology, boost productivity. Which in turn boost the economy.
I think this is the most important factor when talking about economical growth. Technology allows humans to do more in less time, for a cheaper price (less effort is included) and in a more sustainable way on long run. Or being more strict, the economy isn't growing at all, what happens is that the resources are being used more efficiently. If we check, people nowadays are so poor like people from past ages, with the difference we have technology now, which becomes popular within time as it is upgraded.

I think spain or portugal (perhaps both?) are known for having success with drug decriminalization.

The cost of drugs and weed can also decrease once they become less regulated. Which can de incentivize drug dealers from being in a business where their profits plummet.
The effects of drugs glamourization we will see on practice in few decades. In my opinion people should be more careful of what substances they put inside their bodies.
To develop technology and achieve scientific advancement people need to have a healthy mind, body and spirit. Drugs lead directly to the opposite way of this, what can weak or slow down improvements on this field, impacting the world negatively futurely.
5426  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you done listening to Elon ? on: June 04, 2021, 05:21:14 PM
The market seems to be recovering after all this Musk cheap manipulations as prices were rising with normal speed struggling to rise and fight with FUD and whales but now he is again peeping his nose with his new tweets and his influence is so high at this time that even if we ignore him many investors are still listening to him inspite of all this crash situation in the market. His latest meme tweet shows Bitcoin with heart broken emoticon which again resulted in 3-4% price fall for btc.

He is once again trying to do the same manipulation in order to pump Dogecoin with his silly tactics.I personally listen to him that what kind of cheap tricks he is playing to get high profits even after gaining all wealth and that much status.Market don't need to react to his words but most often reverse happens.

Read here what he is doing : Musk new tweets
I saw this bullshit today on twitter. I don't know, but it looks like he playing the broken heart guy who miss the ex (bitcoin) so much. At some point he will re-engage his romance with bitcoin and fans will cheer on him, just wait. Besides the usual flatterers on tweet's comments, there were also a lot of people angry on him for these annoying jokes and memes.
Maybe he thinks to be the crypto king with all his influence among investors, but he is actually the crypto joker, nothing more.
5427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be a Responsible Gambler on: June 04, 2021, 03:45:29 AM
If you are a person who live your life with what you earn and all of the sudden if there is no way to earn/there is no way to earn money due to lockdown don't go into gambling. This will completely destroy your life and creates issue in relationship. I assure this will happen, even if you don't have money for food request help with someone. You'll get your food, have it with peace than ending in frustration.

Some people when they lose their jobs or need additional income there are those who think of playing gambling, this will be the beginning of
their financial problems. Because gambling cannot be expected as a source of income, because there is no guaranteed strategy that allows us
to win continuously in gambling. I have seen several times gamblers whose lives ended badly after making gambling their source of income,
and many rich people become poor because they are addicted to gambling. Therefore, if we need money, don't even think about making money
through gambling, if it's just to get food. We can ask our friends or family for help, I am sure there will be good people who are willing to share the food.
The issue is that those people have a flawed thinking, it is obvious that if the majority of the gamblers could generate profits at the expense of the casino then casinos will not be in business anymore, so while there are a few pros out there that can make money with gambling, casinos for the most part are the only ones to obtain profits and I do not see this with bad eyes, it is just that people need to understand that this is the way it is and if they cannot then they need to stay away from gambling as the chances that they become addicted or develop some problems are high for them.
Each and every common man have the mind to make money. As a result they'll be looking for different opportunities. When something looks like an easy path, they simply get into it without any research about the issues that arise with time when we go unlucky. People need to stay out of gambling when they find it won't get us a win in life. There shouldn't be a never give up move on gambling.
Sometimes the person starts gambling because he is hopeless of raising his life standards through his job due to a low wage, for an example, or maybe the person doesn't have a job, what is even worse, but a common situation nowadays. For people like this gambling becomes the only possible solution, because there is the promise that pennies can become million, with some luck.
Otherwise, they will just live to pay bills, without being possible to make some significant financial progress. Without any perspectives on the horizon, gambling becomes the economical savior. Anyway it's a big mistake and another alternatives must be always chased, although they might not be clear on the present moment.
5428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sumo betting seems rigged - can you make profit with it? on: June 04, 2021, 01:44:31 AM
I always liked watching sumo fights very much and it is the first time I hear the results are rigged. Well, that is a pitty for sumo's organizers to let it happen for time enough to become a scandal involving at least dozens of wrestlers. With this, I believe they weak their traditions and lose respect from the public. Unfortunatelly from now on I'm going to watch sumo with other eyes.
And as the matches are rigged, it's not a good idea to bet on them, because even if you are a great enthusiast of the sport and know everything about it, your analysis about the athletes will be worthless, since their skills don't decide anything on the game.
5429  Economy / Gambling / Re: 👱‍♀️ Mummy's Ultimate Crypto List on: June 03, 2021, 08:10:37 PM
Interesting idea of including different kinds of crypto sites on the same place separeted by category. At Online Wallets section I see you have put some investment sites like Nexo and Crypto dot com. It would be good if you created a new category for that kind of site, because they are different from online wallets and exchanges, as they offer the possibility to users earn interest income over their crypto currencies.
And at the faucet list there could be the minimum and maximum rewards near each respective site. So people could judge if it worths or not more easily, without even being necessary to waste time signing up at the sites.

Good luck with your crypto rotator. Smiley
5430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does the epidemic have a big impact on Bitcoin? on: June 03, 2021, 06:48:04 PM
In the global recession, nothing is safe. When economic activity is at its lowest point, people are in desperate need of money. In this state, it is not surprising that the price of Bitcoin has fallen.
Bitcoin's price has increased during the pandemic and we had our ATH. The scenario changed after news from a disaster in a chinese coal mine came to light. 21 people were trapped inside the mine and accordingly to the news the mine was restarted without government's permission, as more power was needed to supply the bitcoin mining operations. After that accident, chinese government announced another crypto ban and Elon Musk stabbed bitcoin in the back. After those events, speculation took place and a bear season started.

In fact, if there is Bitcoin, many people will sell it. This is to be expected. Bitcoin's value will inevitably fall like stocks. Bitcoin's market is not absolutely independent of what is happening in the world. This is obvious.
But Bitcoin will not go bankrupt, it will not happen. The company may go bankrupt, and even the country may fall into a debt crisis. But Bitcoin will not reach that state. Bitcoin will eventually rebound
why?
Bitcoin is a way to protect our money against fiat inflation. The digital currency is the most accessible and easiest way for doing it. That is why the price skyrocketed during the pandemic, because people were fearful of their traditional investments which rely on the prosperity of the their local economies and currencies. Governments print too much money to keep things temporarily stable, but on long term the effects are catastrophic.
The alternative is bitcoin, since it has a limited supply and investors have the assurance this rule isn't going to change (I have some doubts on this matter, but that is the idea bitcoin sells).
5431  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where to seek help if you need; concerned with gambling addiction. on: June 03, 2021, 05:33:29 PM
I think being a gambling addicted and having difficult to control personal finances due to this addiction is one thing, but stealing money from others to gamble is different and much more serious on my opinion. By doing this the person isn't harming himself only, but causing prejudice to third parties. It's the same as the drugs addicted that steals or kills to maintain his addiction.
When the situation reaches to an extreme like this only treatment isn't enough. Besides it, a punishment is also needed, otherwise the person will never learn how to respect others. As we live in society people must respect each other, doesn't matter if they want or if they have any kind of issue on their private life.
that's why all religions in the world forbid someone from gambling, because it has a bad effect on themselves and their families and even other people, when someone gambles and they lose of course they will be very desperate because they no longer have money, so inevitably they want or not will commit to be crimes, especially when someone who gambles will always drink alcohol and this will trigger them to do bad things.
It's not just religion that forbids it, the law also prohibits it and other people also prohibit or exile it because they don't want to be infected.
Gambling means being willing to risk something that was previously valued in the hope of getting something more valuable. As a result, a gambling addict ends up sacrificing everything he has, including possessions, lots of debt and crime or crime just to get money to gamble. and it can affect financial problems, work, to mental health.
and serious gambling addict should be cured completely otherwise it will result in suicide, seek professional help who can help him and delete or avoid the site as well or not come again to real casino, serious intentions and closer to God.
Actually only the minor parcel of gamblers will act insanely like this. This fact indicates the problem isn't gambling activity itself, but the addicted individual. There are people who have a tendency to become addicted and if it's not going to happen through gambling, it will be through alcohol, drugs, compulsive buying or something else. By turning gambling into illegal practice, governments and religions aren't saving people from addiction at all.
In order to save people from addiction, the society would need to cancel capitalism and tie each person to a chain, so they could be controlled 24 hours daily. However it looks more insane than the own addiction, right?

Thats why there's a consequences in our every action if you become involve in illegal activities or committed a crime because of addiction or to sustain it. Gamblers who became addicted deserves a second chance to change and to lead a new life however it depends on how far you go for being addicted. Someone to talk to is a big help to open up our problem, but a psychologist would be much better.
Every person who made a mistake deserves a second chance, especially if they really regret what they did before. But unfortunately, society seems hard to give that second and do not open their minds that every person changes after making a mistake. Everything that we did have a risk and consequences, but not all people can realize that. Talking to other people can solve the problem temporarily, but maybe it needs to go to the psychologist if the problem is worse.
Second chances are for people who regret on what they have done in the past and a punishment is indeed needed to let the person think about their actions and to make justice towards the victim. As far as I know people who steal deserve the jail. After they fulfill their sentence a new chance is given to them, so they can choose changing their lifestyle or continue doing mistakes.
Gamblers who steal to play are selfish and don't care for anyone else. They are not only damaging their own lives, but also the lives of anyone else they may encounter on their way. So first of all we should care for their victims.
5433  Economy / Speculation / Re: Angry on: June 02, 2021, 09:41:54 PM
Now all my crypto 30% down.  and it will take 3 years to recover.
In finances history may not repeat itself. Investors always say past events can't be used to foresee future events. Last time bear market lasted 3 years, but this time it can last less or more, although due to bitcoin's popularity and demand it's probably going to last much less than 3 years. Many people think like you, so they will wait 3 years to enter the market again, as it worked like a cake's recipe.
Meanwhile, clever investors, who are already aware about the common general mindset will enter the market before 3 years, suddenly pumping bitcoin and finishing bear market. So those who will be still waiting are going to be taken by surprise and everyone around will hear that fateful phrase again: *I wish I had bought bitcoin before...*

5435  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin's institutional hype is over? Adoption Slowing Down? on: June 02, 2021, 08:23:06 PM
I'm not sure. As far as I know these big companies launch hypes in order to make the public consume their products or ideas, so they can earn money and influence. But what happened between institutional investors and bitcoin was different. They didn't launch bitcoin's hype, they were the consumers of this called *hype*, that might not be a hype at all. Because hypes are for the sheep and institutional investors are wolves.
5436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fiat and Bitcoin - The Two Brothers on: June 02, 2021, 06:45:42 PM
Please I need some help. Did I get any of the above concepts wrongly.
You made some nice points, I just think fiat isn't trustful that way. The reality is that fiat is very treacherous and a tool which leads many people to lose money unconsciously. People save fiat, invest it and think they are being benefited on long run for that, but in fact they are just losing their money's value, eaten by inflation. Governments (fiat's controllers) know about it, but they prefer to keep people in ignorance.
That is why fiat isn't trustful and only financial education can make people finally reach to this conclusion, what I think it's inevitable. Sooner or later it must happen. When this day comes fiat will lose a lot of influence, while bitcoin has good chances of overcoming its brother. As you said, fiat's future is determined (to fail).
5437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What online betting company you know gave you a b'day present? on: June 02, 2021, 05:42:31 PM
Does a bookmaker you play on do something sort of this apart from free slot spins that you can redeem your winnings (play x game and double your winning in case you win or play z game and get back 50% of your bet in case you lose) only by playing your own money later?
No, unfortunatelly I have never seen a promotion like this disponible at crypto casinos. It looks like it's an exclusivity of fiat bookmakers. However, if crypto gambling platforms adopted this kind of promotion I would participate without hesitation, even if it would be necessary to go through KYC process. Sometimes we have to show our identity for much less, so I see no harm in doing this for 10$ or 20$ in btc, for an example. There is nothing wrong or illegal on it, right? So why to fear?

I just wouldn't take such promotion opportunity if the terms were too abusive, but I think it shouldn't be an issue, since the name is *birthday gift*, so it's supposed to be a gift for real.
5438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you like or hate Royal symbols on bitcoin slots? on: June 02, 2021, 04:08:34 PM
Well, for me the most important aspect of slots game is the house edge. The lower the better. The graphical figures used on the game by the developers stay on second plan and in fact royal symbols don't bother me at all.
I'm more used to see the letters (A, K, Q, J...) instead of the cards' images (king, queen, joker...), what is a good thing, as it's easier to mix the letters to the game's thematic than incorporating a king, queen or joker to slots which don't belong to medieval or renaissance themes.
5439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet on climbing challenges on: June 02, 2021, 01:48:56 PM
I am also a huge fan of climbing, unfortunately near my hometown there aren't any mountains, so I just stick to bouldering indoor. Watching speed climbing is insane, their speed is so fast and the routes they are climbing are insanely hard. Over the last few years quite a lot of people became interested in climbing, it is even now a competition in olympics. With so many people watching it should be normal to make it also attractive for bookmakers. Top climbers become something like celebrities these days, it would be normal to bet on them.
Yes, climbing will be included on the next olympic games which are going to happen in Tokyo, Japan. That is one of five new sports total which are going to be added to the games, what is also very interesting news for fans of the sport. Actually, so far I have never thought about climbing as a competition, but just as a hobby instead. Anyway it will be really exciting to see the competition soon, probably next month or august.
Since it's official, I'm pretty sure gambling platforms will introduce climbing bets and there will be many people willing to place a bet on it. If I have some spare money I may join as well.
5440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some beautiful picture of bitcoin investor related on: June 02, 2021, 02:53:15 AM

A very beautiful picture is depicting all the Trading emotions, FOMO, Jomo, Panic and Greed.

This actually shows how crypto trading is purely gambling. You never know if btc is going up or down. Most of times crypto fluctuations don't follow any logic, they just happen. Only after a pump or dump happen people start looking for news that could justify those oscillations, although we never know if such news are really responsible for changing bitcoin's price.
At same time this little story gives a good hint to investors who are too impatient towards their investments. The moral of the story is good for new investors understand how they should behave when investing in bitcoin.
