Anyone with a sitting sell order on the books will have to give control of the Bitcoins to Bitstamp. It's the only way to actually get execution on sitting orders. Only Bitcoins that are not committed to an order on the books could be kept in a multi-sig wallet where Bitstamp has no access. To go from that wallet to be able to use the Bitcoins in an order means waiting for confirmations. So you either get multi-sig security with a confirmation delay to place an order, or you get no multi-sig security with no delay.
no, they (should) use an internal database for trades. all 3 keys will be needed when the btc are actually leaving bitstamp ( = when you withdraw your btc) - else multisig would make no sense and would be no advantage like you said |

First and second generation reactors require operators to control the reaction, and faults can leave them in runaway conditions. 1st generation reactors should be completely shut down (I don't think any are still in large scale operation). 2nd generation should be phased out and replaced with 3+ as soon as possible. I agree to that. There are still some 1st generation reactors and mainly 2nd generation reactors running. main problem here is the building cost & duration of new nuclear power plants. Build time and cost is around 3-4 times to that of fossil fueled power plants. And to be honest if cost would not play the main role we could just use regenerative energy. |

For remote access, a cooperating network interface is required: Intel ethernet adapters, Intel WiFi adapters, and certain 3G modems are supported. If you can, replace Intel-made network interfaces with ones made by a different manufacturer, that do not support AMT. Apparently for the remote control to work, you also need to have Intel network card, so not using any Intel network hardware should keep you safe from remote attack. do you know the reason why it has to be an pci intel network card? most motherboards are already coming with onboard lan, shouldnt that be the same? |

ok here comes my theory about the last 24 hours. 1) Pantera decided that stamp "hack" is actually a really serious blow. -> losing the faith of stamp users + bad PR (bad security/incompetence) 2) Pantera demand stamp to correct the situation asap -> stamp didnt accept the demand (for whatever reason) 3) Pantera threatens to cut all ties to stamp if they dont accept the demand -> removing dan morehead from bitstamp 4) stamp got scared and are now buying btc i could get a oscar for this right?  |
