It is lovely to see that this place is basically building its own community, I am nowhere near England and sad to say this to my friends who are Liverpool fans that I never really had a reason to support and EPL team ever in my life until this year and this year I became some sort of an "honorary" Watford fan, not that I am actually a fan (no jerseys, never been to UK ever in my life, never watched a full game just highlights etc) but since I have no other reason to support any other team Watford for the bitcoin sponsorship became my "favorite" in the sense that at least we have something common between me and Watford.

However, the reality is now there are people here who are following same team, meeting for parade if they can, talk about the previous experiences etc etc, basically a whole community building, it is awesome to see.
5442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: January end , can BTCtouch 9k? on: January 18, 2020, 03:47:58 AM
The problem here that we are slowly solving is that the real resistance is getting closer and closer. We may have hard time breaking the resistance at $9.4k when we were at $7k but when we are at $9.4k and slowly try to destroy it, just chip it a bit slow by slow and eventually get there and break it, not right away but since we will be close to it we will have chance to erode that slowly and people will start to remove their orders as well so it will get even easier eventually.

Hopefully, we won't get a sell pressure right about now, because if we have to face that anytime soon we will get a lot of trouble but if don't get it and keep on buying, we will break the 10k+ barrier very easily, it will just take time but everything that worth something is hard to get in this life.
5443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is BSV a bubble ? on: January 17, 2020, 05:30:50 PM
The reason why BSV was capable of "going so high" which it actually didn't was that there are so few places that lists BSV, which means there is no volume for it, which means if you spend even just a few thousand dollars you can change the price of it.

Not that you can sell all of your BSV anywhere to make thousands of dollars, there is no volume to allow such a thing to happen. You could have a million dollars worth of BSV and as soon as you decide to sell it you would destroy all of BSV market, which is why it was also so easy to increase its price as well. In the end bitcoin has 8 million new btc printed everyday and it is still fine, BSV has nowhere remotely enough volume to actually cover anything that major let alone every single day of doing that is impossible.

Looking at all the presidential bets, I can't really understand why do you guys have republican nominee, is it because there could be an impeachment? I mean normally the republican incumbent president will also be the nominee from the republicans as well, there is no debate, no fight for it, Trump will just get it no matter what.

I understand that right now there is an investigation towards Ukraine thing he did which could result in impeachment but Senate is mostly republican and you need 2/3 so even if they get "some" republican senators to vote for impeachment it won't be enough, they need many republican senators to vote for it. Of course it is a very high odd (1.08 right now) for Trump to be nominee again but it looks like it is easy money for everyone. There are actually votes for other candidates which is very weird as well.

Similar for me here as well, I got into bitcoin around April 2013, not as early as to get those $10k per pizza times but I was here early enough to get insanely rich if I was smart enough, like for even a small amount of money I could have made a decent return by now.

In any case I am not giving up, I don't think bitcoin will have "that" type of increase ever again like from 100 dollars to 8 thousand type of increase, however I am no longer interested in bitcoin because I can make money, I am interested in more idealist way where I believe we should actually stop using fiat and start using crypto in the whole world, more places that accepts btc is better. Just focus on building your savings in btc and one of the best places you can ever do that is freebitco.in
Back in those days you could have made more from freebitco.in as well and that is something people do not really think about when they use here. I mean yeah you are not looking like what you can make in the future but you looking at it like what you are making right now.

If you were using this website when it first started and kept using it every single day for a whole year for hours every single day and kept it, you would have thousands upon thousands of dollars right now for just basically clicking a button.

People do not look at it like that, they look at the cents they are making right now and assume that is all they are getting, that is not true if/when bitcoin reaches 100k one day for example, I don't know if that will happen but I feel like over years of it eventually we will get there so the small money that you get now actually worths a lot in the end.

5447  Economy / Speculation / Re: OMG, BitCoin is spiking !!! What is causing this ??? on: January 15, 2020, 04:43:51 PM
We can't really know the "cause" of a big increase in price (aside from obvious there are people buying bitcoin) but we can just assume. My assumption was that there were too many long futures and leveraged longs and that means some whales wanted the bitcoin price to go up, that could draw a connection between bitcoin price and its increase.

If whales wants something they usually get it, not all the time but most of the time. Plus there was a try for going down that failed, maybe some people realized we hit the bottom and decided it is not worth trying any further and gave up, maybe we were always bull but the bears kept the selling pressure high but just gave up, when they gave up we started to go up? Like I said we can just assume what happened and not know the exact reason.
5448  Economy / Speculation / Re: December’s Significance for Bitcoin: All-Time Highs and Bearish Bottoms on: January 15, 2020, 08:42:56 AM
Halving is one thing, like it is directly related to bitcoin itself and how it functions and people being upset that price didn't go up after halving is understandable, surely you shouldn't sell or get out because it didn't drop, you can still wait months even a year before you can see the affects of it.

However, the biggest shock to me was when BAKKT first started, people literally sold all their coins because "bakkt volume was lower than expected", mate this is not bitcoins fault, why are you selling your bitcoin for something bakkt did, sell your bakkt shares if you have any or a partner of that company but if not just keep your damn bitcoins since what bakkt does or does not have nothing to do with bitcoin. Telling those people to not sell their coins after halving will be very very difficult.
5449  Economy / Economics / Re: Global Wave of Debt Is Largest, Fastest in 50 Years on: January 11, 2020, 05:21:12 PM
There is a big big difference in gold and whats about to happen with the whole Iran versus USA thing tho, I mean I know debt is a lot and inflation is caused due to debt and other stuff so in any normal day you are right, gold is a great thing to invest into against inflation and against anything bad, hell betting on gold in case Trump gets reelected is also awesome as well, at the very least makes sure you won't be at disadvantage in that case.

However, and even tho I doubt this, USA goes to war with Iran, Iran is one of the few nations in the whole world that has a gold backed currency and they have insane amount of golds, it is actually illegal for them to take it out of nation for the regular people so not only national bank has a lot of gold but people do have a lot of gold as well, so if all of that gold actually goes out of nation due to a war, we will see gold price dropping a lot.
5450  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC TO 5K$ soon on: January 03, 2020, 03:18:39 PM
$5000 is just waaay too low for bitcoin to fall at this point, we are getting closer to halving very soon and that means there won't be as many bitcoins being sold on the market as it used to be, I am not saying price will skyrocket but it will be a lot more difficult to sell bitcoin since there will be less of it, think about all those times when $10k bitcoin sold on the market all at once destroyed the market, well miners make that in 12 days so they had the power to drop the price whenever they want to and that will be gone very soon.

Hopefully, tho we will get bitcoin movement upwards but even if that doesn't happen $5k would require a lot more help for miners since they can't do it alone. I would say going towards $10k is more likely than $5k at this stage.
5451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can we review 2019? Please leave few things you achieved or lost in crypto on: January 02, 2020, 04:55:39 PM
I have achieved a freedom where I can be wherever I want and still work, I managed to make money on a ferry while going to another city, I made money while I was on a vacation looking at a beautiful waterfall, I managed to work in so many awesome places, I seriously made money while I was campaigning for an election for example (which I lost). So, it was a good year economically in the sense that I was tied to no one and made a decent amount of money.

However, it was a bad year because bitcoin didn't ended up going up like it showed promised to, back in April it started to go up and I thought we were going for a new all time high and price will continue soaring but it ended up losing 50% value.

Well, that is bitcoin for you isn't it, in the same year we are both 100% higher than we started the year but also 50% down from the peak.
5452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Craig white never understood anything about bitcoin on: January 02, 2020, 04:14:20 PM
I guess he earns money from this attention as we speak, why would he stop? There are companies and places that want to work with him for his "comprehensive bitcoin understanding" which is a total lie but since he gets a lot of attention nobody really risks it and just works with him on consultant positions and gets advises etc etc and even pay him to go on talks on places.

So, he makes money from this, plus the money he got from satoshi for being an early bird combined makes him so useless that dude basically just does all of these idiotic moronic stuff because the other option is put life on idle and do nothing. What would you have done if you had billions of dollars worth of crypto and nothing else you are good for in life? You would try to make yourself a name in crypto world as well.
5453  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: NEVER EVER deal Bitcoins with PAYPAL (F&F too!) on: January 02, 2020, 02:50:06 PM
Paypal is a unethical organization that looks like a legit business. It is simple as that, no company in the whole world could get away with you not getting paid while actually using their payment processor. Think about bitcoin that way and how horrible that sounds, you give someone fiat on paypal, they give you bitcoins, then they make a chargeback and both end up with your fiat and their bitcoins back and on top of that you are charged with a fee for it. You would hate bitcoin if that was the case right?

Well, paypal is doing exactly that and they are not getting any punishment for it. Paypal WAS a good payment processor back in the day, not anymore. People realized how damaged their system is and moving away from it, it is the system of 2000-2013ish years, and have been going down every single year since those days.
5454  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Pressured by Apple, Coinbase to Remove iOS dApp Support on: January 02, 2020, 06:14:22 AM
I don't get why these huge tech companies are going against crypto so much. First google had all that youtube video removal and google adwords ban on crypto type of stuff, google only should care about making money and that's it, if they could make money from crypto people, they would make money from crypto people and that is end of it, why would they have to ban it?

Crypto is not something banned in many nations so there is no reason to ban crypto from google, makes ZERO sense. Then facebook banned crypto ads on their platforms, which is basically same issue with google, and Apple has always been very sensitive about crypto related apps on their phones. These companies can take crypto into a whole new level of adoption and they could make billions of dollars in profit from it.
5455  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex Data Leak on Twitter on: January 01, 2020, 04:53:21 PM
They are literally backed by a huge wall street company, how are they letting something like this happen when they have trillions of dollars in their funds? Sure they are their own company as well but they are owned by Circle which is a multi billion dollar company and an app that is known all around the world and getting a big chunk of the market share as we speak and that company Circle? That is owned by Goldman Sachs (sort of, they own small part of it) which is the trillion dollar fund that I was talking about.

I understand hackers will hack things and even NASA has been hacked couple times now and people see it as a challenge at this point but honestly I would expect them to make their security better and at least save their customers information.
5456  Economy / Economics / Re: Coming Changes Bitcoin will be backing USA dollars on: January 01, 2020, 02:32:51 PM
If USA somehow managed to get rid of gold standard, they are not picking up something else for it. They got rid of gold standard barely and they have been getting out of hand sooo much ever since they did that, right now the gap is not even remotely close, so if they are not capable of working with a gold standard, how could they even potentially come close to anything else?

We are talking about a nation with over 20 TRILLION DOLLAR debt, how in the hell will they get that much bitcoin and back their own currency with it when they can't even do it without anything that backs it, they can't even print enough money to cover their own currency with the fear of huge inflation. So long story short, it is not happening, not bitcoin not gold not anything else, it is not happening. Dollar is only backed by the power of US government and that's it.
5457  Economy / Economics / Re: Your plan if no significant move on Bitcoin price along with the halving? on: January 01, 2020, 08:56:58 AM
Bitcoin doesn't have to make a big move for most of us to actually do something about it, if it stays same we will move the spread, if it goes down we will leverage short, if it goes up we will leverage long.

I mean not myself personally because I am just a long holder but in the end there will be people who make profits no matter what bitcoin does, there are people out there who can profit whatever bitcoin does (different people for different moves) so it is all about what the majority is hoping for bitcoin to do and not "some" of us because a small portion always comes out right, there are people on each directions waiting for it to happen so it is impossible for bitcoin to do something and NOBODY makes any profit, even if it stays the same people will find a way to profit from it.

What gives me hope about myself is that none of you guys actually won, I know that is a horrible thing to say and I should hope someone eventually wins but honestly I have been so horrible in the past few weeks that I missed that one time I made 5/7 as well, it has been over a month since I was even remotely close so it makes me feel alright to see other people who fail like me, at least helps me realize I am not alone in this and I am not the only one who failed. Fortunejack must be making a killing out of this because they are not giving away any money and just free bets to some people but I have wagered on so many games here since it started, I end up checking the games here and see some good possibilities to wager and end up betting when jackmate is actually free and doesn't require you to bet but it just hypes you about it.

Hi guys, how're your bets going today?

With January just around the corner, what are your thoughts on the Australian Open Men's tournament?

Is there a chance the Big 3 could be beaten?

Stats say no, but if you are ever going to get a jump on a higher seed than you, its best to do it over the pre-season and hit the 1st Grand Slam up and running.. sort of like F1, no one really knows who did what in winter testing and anything can happen! like what happened in 2009 with Brawn F1 Gp.. anyway, Ill touch on F1 closer to Melbourne GP in March.

Big improver and big game player Nishikori has withdrawn from the Open, as well as Andy Murray. Although Murray hasn't quite regained his heights since his injury, on his day he is a formidable player.
Biting at the heels of the Big 3 are Thiem, Medvedev, Zverev and my mate Shapovalov.

Personally, I haven't seen much of the big-serving Austrian Thiem ($13) so its hard for me to comment on his hardcourt form.

Additionally, I think even though big Dan Shapovalov ($67) had a breakout season in 2019, he needs another year on the circuit to refine a few small failings.

The big talk in Australia at the moment, except for the constant temps above 45 degrees Celcius ( 113 F) and the bushfires is that the Russian Medvedev ($9) and the giant-killing Tsitsipas ($10) are on the hunt and primed ready to strike!

Whilst it would be great to see a newcomer lift the trophy, and no disrespect for the previously mentioned duo, they did have a top end of the year but, the others were just worn out.
By the time you get to the finals in November, upsets happen and bodies in the 30's are very sore and looking for a rest. Yes, they both impressed on what they had on offer, but will it be enough to stand the rigors that is the 2 week Australian open in the heat of Melbourne?

Many a player, including one of my faves Andy Roddick can attest to the following; Medvedev and Tsitsipas are great players in the wrong era!

Have there ever been three legends of the game playing at the one time? off the top of my head, I don't think so. There have always been one or two great players, but I can't think off the top of my head a time where 3 greats were gunning it out for so many years in a row. It's relentless!

Djokovic($2.50) is the youngest of the big 3, sitting nice and young at 32 with 16 grand slams! That number already puts him up with the greats with at least 4-6 years left in him if he wants.

The Fed, or the Goat ($9) 38 years old, and the Grand Slam record holder at 20 grand slams. Keeps coming back year in and year out.

Lastly, Rafa Nadal ($4.5)has snuck in 19 Grand Slams! one off the GOAT and he is only 33... could Nadal be the GOAT after all?

Knockers of Rafa will automatically say ' Well he has only won 1 Australian Open' Fans of Nadal will say, well Federer and Novak have only ever one 1 French Open..

Who will be the GOAT? who knows.. but its bad news for the rest as there isn't any clear sailing just yet! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be a part of!

We may never see 3 players playing at once with 16+ Grand Slams each in our lifetime again.
Every single year I say it is time for Federer to be irrelevant and maybe even retire now because he is really old now for such a sport that requires so much agility but dude is so talented that even his pure talent is really just too good to pass up, I am sure he will still be very good.

Nadal hasn't been himself for a minute as well, dude plays well for one game then suddenly plays very bad for another even in games he wins, Djokovic on the other hand is a consistent player, he has a talent level that he brings in every single game, he may not be as good as Nadal or Federer when all is said and done, or maybe he will be but I think 100% the peak best of Federer or Nadal is better than Djokovic. So this will all come down to will we see the best of all players or will there be some rough games for them.
5460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 31, 2019, 02:52:28 PM
I still disagree that Man Utd would be a bad decision for Haaland, it all depends on how he plays and what changes happen after he joins the club. In dortmund what is expected of him is certain and he will play that role and the team would be alright and nothing would change, he will eventually go to a higher club if he shows himself and maybe gets a good money.

However, in Man Utd he would probably get that 8 as well or even maybe more plus on top of that MANU is not going great right now, if he joins the club and they start to play really well (doesn't have to because of him but if he participates with some goals that would be lovely) dude could increase his stock like crazy, I mean think about how much money would a striker who joined MANU and made them good worths? Easily 100+ million for both MANU and 15+ for the kid himself.
