5441  Economy / Speculation / Re: Now that we touched $8,000, what's next? on: January 13, 2020, 03:43:30 AM
Bitcoin is having a small run, we just touched at $8000 as per Binance record, its 24 hours high is $8000.

https://www.binance.com/en/trade/BTC_USDT

What do you guys think that will happen next? is this the bull run we are long waiting?

Some are saying we are getting ready to test the $9,200 resistance. Positive predictions and analysis are overflowing now. We might be conquering $10,000 in the next month or two. Bitcoin is now very bullish. There was a correction after that but it was very quick and now we are once again back at more than $8,000.

I do hope that we are going to get to $9200 after touching $8k again. I thought that the price would go on a down ward spiral after losing that $8k support after a few days ago, but it seems the market remain still and was about to defend that level.

So let's see if we are going to $8500 range now and then $9k in the next week or so.

These are interesting times in Bitcoin price movements. It crosses under and over $7,000 very quickly just as it also crosses under and above $8,000 very quickly. The movements of the price is very erratic as of this time and it is hard to to trading with this pattern. But still the hopes are high that we're hitting $9,000 very soon.

Yeah, I agree, it will be a waiting game, but the good thing is that it was able to maintain the $8'ish level, might be a good sign after all. Erratic or trading sideways, it's hard to make money out of it,  Wink.

so I guess the best thing for those who aren't adept to technical analysis is probably stay away and just observed the price movement and hope that $9k will be there in the horizon.

(rondo probably circled this on the calendar as "lets kick CP3's ass" game as well).

This!!!  Grin
I have that thoughts since I watched that clip where Rondo was mistaken for CP3 while buying shoes.
(sorry I dont have the link anymore and I cannot see it even while digging)  Grin
He got really mad.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h7nVSl1jCzU.

I think the fans is just trolling Rondo, but you can look at his response.  Grin

CP3 got his revenge against the Houston Rockets and now Rondo got his own. What a nice rivalry. They make entertainment better.

Love the rivalry between the two, Lol. I don't know where the beef started but it looks like personal though.  Grin
5443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 67,1% of micro businesses do not know what cryptocurrencies are. on: January 13, 2020, 02:22:23 AM
What you think?
-Why does the population know cryptocurrencies?

I think it's case to case, look at Japan, at least majority of them know bitcoin because they are using it.

-What would happen if at least 67.1% of microenterprises accepted Bitcoin as payment methods?

It will be good for bitcoin if we see offline/online stores starts accepting it.

-Could it be that there are more countries like Mexico in which the population does not know or fear this new technology?

Maybe, but the thing is that every country or at least the whole population are now interconnected because of Internet so I doubt that some country or individuals are going to be isolated and not known crypto in the next coming years.

5445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin still or altcoins on: January 11, 2020, 01:39:04 AM
Putting all my money on bitcoin is more smarter than going for altcoins? I think bitcoin will always surge even if it loses value today, i never think twice about this anymore because in the past if i never switched to altcoin i would have be in big profit today, what do you guys think about my plan? Stupid or 👍

If you're smarter, then it's better to diversify.

The thing will altcoins is that they are really cheap and you can literally be a bag holder as compare to bitcoin which is expensive for some.

That's why many people really advise to at least diversify your portfolio. Majority on BTC and then the rest will good altcoin.
5446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China & The Bitcoin on: January 11, 2020, 01:17:21 AM
Seemingly in the news we hear how China is anti Bitcoin and anti cryptocurrency and well that may be all well and true but for an anti Bitcoin Country they sure do have lots of hash. In the Top 10 mining Pools in the world China has around 4 maybe even more. Which comes to the question what is really going on in China & The Bitcoin. As usual thoughts and comments are more than welcome. Thanks.
Didn't hear or know that China was anti cryptocurrency.  Any reference to back up your claim? As far as i know China is against bitcoin and other "decentralized" currency but they do support the blockchain technology.  I remember hearing stories about China trying to make their own centralized cryptocurrency to more easily regulate and track people's finances.

They are now testing their state back up crypto in two of their province already.

https://www.theblockcrypto.com/post/49659/report-chinas-central-bank-to-test-digital-currency-in-two-cities-partnering-with-state-backed-commercial-banks-and-telecom-giants

I just China's bitcoin mining will continue to boom, if the government is taking a hard line stance against crypto specially bitcoin, they should have shutdown bitcoin mining. But why they are not doing it? Probably because they are also benefiting from it, simply as that.
5447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 08, 2020, 05:50:28 AM
^^ Good. I think it's time to sleep late so that I can watch those matches. Obviously, because of the time difference, usually it's late here when I have to watch the game live. Anyways, there's a lot of interesting match to watch here. Glad that Australians won, and it's sad to see Nick shredding tears after Australia won because of the current state of emergency (fire) in his country.

Yeah it was a great win for Australia and I know how it is as I live in one of the states that is affected by the bush fires so I understand how Nick is feeling as its a bad time for Australia right now. Hopefully Australia winning helps brightens up the country as we need this right now.

Right, this got me thinking though, if the fire continues, will it affect the Australian Open this year?

Health wise is it not good for the players as well as the tennis fans. I really do hope that this bush fires or at least there will be some rain to help the fire fighters stop this blaze.
According to Denis Kudla who was practicing in Melbourne, it is likely the Australian Open will be canceled.

Interviewed by the New York Times, the American player Denis Kudla who stayed a week in Melbourne before leaving for the challenger in Bendigo made a rather catastrophic assessment of the situation: "In my opinion, we have never been that close to '' cancel a Grand Slam tournament. And making the decision to play it will be difficult. Because very clearly if the smoke gets worse, I could not imagine playing a game of four, five hours and not coughing like crazy afterwards. Furthermore, what consequences can it get on our health for playing in a sky covered with smoke? Nobody knows, but it can't be good that's for sure "

Aw, that will be bad if they are going to cancel this years Grand Slam.

However, we truly understand it, the health of everyone here is a concern and we don't want anyone to get sick or what just because of watching tennis or even for players themselves. It is really catastrophic and the only thing we can do is wish that it will end the soonest.
5448  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price rising since 4 days ago on: January 08, 2020, 05:27:17 AM
Probably when we hit $6900-$7200 people realized that it is the best time to enter prior to halving and I think this what happened to the market regardless if we're going to see a confrontation between US and Iran.

Crypto investors are smart, they will take every opportunity, specially the whales, so they see the current sentiments, they go for it, followed by FOMO. The result? Price being pushed to $8300 and we could it see even touching $8500 if this continues.
5449  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price: US-Iran conflict is the answer on: January 08, 2020, 03:53:50 AM
So base on that logic, do we need  some looming wars to be able to see the price of bitcoin spiking up to 5 digit figure?

I don't think that this is the main reason for the sudden pump, at least for me. We have bottom around $6900 earlier so it's just normal to see the price recovered after that and we can't really attribute everything to the US-Iran conflict. I know that there are reports that bitcoin goes up in Iran market to $24k-$26k a pop but it was debunked already.
5450  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nice Increase in Price but What Next?? on: January 07, 2020, 02:00:23 AM
We have all seen it before.. A nice pump here and there and then BOOM a big DUMP.. It's almost disheartening really but still.. What will come next of this little rise? Will it hold true and keep its position or will it come crashing down again and again. In my opinion i believe that Bitcoin would have to reach an over  10,000 usd mark to see a "bigger" style of a bull run. For now it's just going back and forth in a 6-8k range. None the less my friends only time will tell but until then what are some of your thoughts? As usual your thoughts and comments are more than welcome. Thanks again.

Exactly, we have seen this many times before, people getting excited because of the pump. If I'm not mistaken the last pump what supposedly due to the President of China statement about blockchain and everyone was jumping for joy saying blah ... blah ... blah ..

And after that follows a big dump, Lol. This could just be a bull trap for all we know. So stay cool, let things settle down first and adjust our trading plans. Don't look for a bull run because it looks like another artificial spike for me.
5451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright claims , today will be the last day for Bitcoins. on: January 07, 2020, 01:30:37 AM
Lol, it really doesn't matter what Craig Wright claims, we won't see the last days of bitcoin.

On the contrary, bitcoin is making a good run in the last 24 hours, almost touching if not was able to break the $8k barrier. Let Craig says what he wanted, about the Tulip trust or what is the reason why the bonded courier didn't show up because of 'personal' reasons.
5452  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin could be 6000$ soon give us your opinion on: January 07, 2020, 01:10:01 AM
.. snip ..
As I am writing this bitcoin is close to reach 8k for the first time since Nov 21, this is a good signal what I do not know is why this is happening now, did something happened that completely changed the attitude of most of the participants of the market or this is just another instance in which the price seems to go up only to crash in a spectacular way and it allows the whales to get even bigger? It will be interesting to know the answer to that question and we are going to find out about it soon.

We will soon find out what is the real reason for the sudden spike in 24 hours. Perhaps some whale is trying to set up for a bull trap, or maybe speculators thinks that this is the right time to invest more as we're getting closer to the block halvening event.

This is a break out run, as the title of this thread, there are so called experts who think that the price will go to $6k, but the opposite happen, we are getting closer to $8k. But just be cautious though, as this might be a bull trap, just saying.
5453  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee backs out of his $1 million bitcoin prediction on: January 07, 2020, 12:45:25 AM
At least everyone now understands what kind of personality John really has. He is not a crypto enthusiast after-all. He did everything just to advertise himself and his intentions are very clear, he is a attention whore, Lol, just like CSW.

Nothing is to be trusted when he open his mouth because he is all bark and no bite. We should move forward, $1 million is not going to happen this year.
5454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC and Altcoin Price Movement on: January 06, 2020, 09:50:43 AM
There was a visible trend between bitcoin and altcoins price movement till 2018 first half. After that with every bitcoin move up or down, altcoins just fell. If Bitcoin went up, people started shifting to Bitcoin from altcoins that brought a fall and conversely, if it went down, people started shifting to stable coins again making altcoins fall. Because of that many altcoins have already bottomed out.
Before that wasn't the case. Whenever Bitcoin made an upward movement and stabilised, altcoins followed it.

It's because everyone was really dumping altcoins since the mid 2018 and altcoins continue to decline till the end of 2019. The market conditions worsens as no new investors are coming in and most of them are really doing some day trading with bots.

But as soon as BTC will stabilised specially after the halvening. We might see some semblance of a rally that can have a trickle effect on altcoin. So 2020 will be very exciting not just BTC but for the altcoin market as well.
5455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto history making year 2020 started it's journey ! on: January 06, 2020, 03:51:45 AM
Everyone and the media have discussed, hoping that 2020 will form a new history but in terms of good news. the year that crypto fans look forward to, after last year's bear trend, everyone hopes that crypto will bring big changes. we just wait and pray, maybe if 2020 is not the right time, next year crypto will definitely show a definite future. for someone who is currently holding any coins, I hope to be patient and pray more, rest assured with yourself.

Right, as I have said if my previous post about the 2020, we do hope that it will be the year wherein crypto, specially the alt market will gain significantly or at least try to get -50% from it's previous all time high.

We did suffer from 2018-2019, but with bitcoin block halvening around, we do hope that it will be the catalyst for the market to go back to its bullish season and make the price seems reasonable for crypto investors.
5456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: January 06, 2020, 03:15:33 AM
After Paul George and Patrick Berverly not playing yesterday now Kawhi didn't play against New York Knicks but today they manage to win against the Knick unlike yesterday that, that was the worst lead. They also made a franchise record - 3 players scored 30+ points.

Right, surprised to see the a team with 3 players scoring 30 plus points.

Paul George - 32
Mon Harrell - 34
Lou Williams - 32

Well they get torched by the Grizzles in previous games and was even booed by the crowd. So good comeback win.

5457  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Trend for 2020. on: January 06, 2020, 02:49:56 AM
I'm hearing a lot of positive predictions this 2020, because of the upcoming 2020 events.

I'm no technical analyst or claim to be experts, so I will based everything on what I hear (although I filter a lot from those so called experts), so I will say that five digit is doable and we might see the price climb back to $14k-$15k this year, conservative estimates on my part.
5458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the price in iran of bitcoin is manipulated on: January 06, 2020, 01:58:08 AM
Fake news: The Bitcoin Price in Iran Isn’t Even Close to $24,000 Despite Reports Claiming Otherwise. As per that article:

Quote
While that is the official Iranian central bank exchange rate, it is not the proper market value.

That exchange rate is only used by banks, and the government.

Everyone else used a rate which is roughly one-third of the official rate.

As such, the bitcoin price is Iran is just $8,000, not too far off from the actual global market value.

There is still a premium to be paid, but far from a steep one.

It is evident to put things like these in their proper perspective at all times.

Falsely reporting the bitcoin value in Iran is something everyone should avoid.

There is enough fake news on the internet as it is, and bitcoin’ reputation shouldn’t be tarnished by it.
5459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Justin Sun dump 33 billion TRX on New Year's Day? on: January 06, 2020, 12:10:12 AM
I'm not a TRX holder, but it doesn't make sense for Justin Sun to dump 33 billion worth of TRX. And I think he already confirmed it here:

Quote
The CEO of the TRON Foundation, Justin Sun, has revealed via a livestream that the organization will not sell the 33 billion TRX tokens, worth over $400 million, on the market and plans to keep them.

https://www.cryptoglobe.com/latest/2020/01/tron-foundation-won-t-sell-its-33-billion-trx-justin-sun-says/

See, it will just create chaos for them, so it won't be good in the long run. Perhaps this is just to create FUD around TRX and it's good that Justin step up and confirmed that there will be no selling.

This thread should be lock by the OP.
