You might want to add the following threads as well:

Free accelerators may still work, but it also determine on the fee paid, I want to recently use ViaBTC but I was unable to, the fee at 5 sat/vbyte while on Sunday the mempool was not congested and was at around 10 sat/vbyte. As I use the free accelerator, it displayed no enough fee. The best is for someone to know about RBF which is a great tool to just pump the fee for ease, but free accelerators like the ones you mentioned still work for those that pay low fee but not too low fee.
5462  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My first journey with crypto wallet on: March 05, 2021, 02:44:41 PM
Thst is why it is good to be just independently operating wallets, if someone has the seed phrase, it means it is no longer your coin alone because both of you can acessed the cryptocurrencies on the wallet. If the person send the coin to another wallet, that means it is completely no longer yours. The person will also just be taking you for fool, open wallet for you and move the funds into his own wallet. No one should know your seed phrase, supposing you open the wallet yourself, or pay attention to the instruction about the seed phrase, the wallet would have stated that the seed phrase should be backup, if anyone knows the backup, that means the coin can be stolen by the person, this is what you will want to avoid.
5463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another month of March on: March 05, 2021, 10:04:42 AM
What particular year of the month of March are you alluding to that Bitcoin had suffered dump? Is it March of every year? If that's what you mean then it's not correct because March of 2020 Bitcoin was already in a downward slope before then. Except you're harbouring an element of superstition, otherwise there's nothing spectacularly doomsday about March. You can talk of December and that would make a much clearer prediction as investors are worth to take profit every December for festive activities thereby causing the market to slump.
I am not right if commented it happens every March, but what I meant was that it happened in 2019 and also in 2020 that will it continue like that. You are not right commenting that bitcoin was already in downtrend in February 2020, bitcoin increased to $10500 in the bull trend of January and February of 2020, while it decrease back as usual to a price above $8000 until middle to ending of March 2020 when it decrease below $3700, March was the worst month for bitcoin in 2020, while also March was the worst month for bitcoin in 2019 as it decreased also below $3800 in March 2019. As for other years, I am not certain or something of such did not happen, but what I meant is that as it happened two times in two years, hope not going to happen this year.
5464  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 05, 2021, 08:15:10 AM
Price going sideways yo!
Exactly, price is no more going beyond $50000 or a price slightly higher which is the resistant level while also $45000 to $46000 is the support. But anything can happen, what will drive the price at this moment are the instructions, retail investors are just taking profit at this level now, but if institutions invest big on bitcoin, the retail investors will fomo to invest and price will increase.
5465  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin after the pandemic on: March 05, 2021, 08:01:35 AM
This is when Bitcoin was seen as a solution. Its deflationary and safe-heaven characteristics were recognized and everyone became abruptly bullish. Now I wonder, what will happen to Bitcoin once the pandemic is over? Once we'll live just like we did in 2019? It will surely have a big impact on the market, but I don't know if it'll be a negative or a positive for Bitcoin.
People just like to link things to the recent occurrence, the halving and the US election really contribute to the bitcoin price they increased, it has been in that fashion since bitcoin was established, I believe if there is no pandemic, bitcoin would have increased to this extent. Like you said, bitcoin is a deflationary currency, that makes its price increaing as the world are knowing and using it. Is the pandemic the reason institutions are investing, is it the reason recent 2021 trend is resulting while more loan investors also investing? I think the pandemic is not as potent in Bitcoin price increase as people do say. So, expect nothing to happen after the pandemic, but if anything happen, I do not think it is the result of the pandemic, rather than how bitcoin is in which the price increase and decrease over time.
5466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin can x10 for now? on: March 05, 2021, 07:54:43 AM
I think the ZEC and EOS have great potential for 5x - 10x the current price...
just like you, I also skipped ADA and never thought ADA would be at such a high price as it is today. bullish on a token/coin is difficult to predict, all we can do is believe in our investment choices and be patient with it.
You are not wrong, ADA has already being bullish and increased significantly during the altcoins season, ADA that was $0.03 before at a point in 2020 has significantly increased above $1, which means we should not think this coin will increase for now. EOS has only gone like 2x or less, I was wondering the reason for this as EOS do increase significantly in price during altcoin season, but things just changed this time around, but very possible investors and traders will focus on it, which can make its price to be above as expect, but it may not be up to 10x.
5467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Between XRP and XLM wish is best on: March 04, 2021, 10:35:36 PM
Ok. This situation I would love to suggest XLM rather to XRp although both are doing good . Both are at a good position, . But in recent time xRP has fallen badly that's you XLM would be good for invest in it.
Ripple falled significantly because of the lawsuit filed against ripple by SEC about selling its own token worth $1.3 billion, ripple at the time fall from $0.5 to $0.25. After was a pump in which was a altcoin season when all the altcoins were pumped and increase price, xrp was also among that was pump that make its price increase above $0.75 again. XLM is also good, the best are good for investment because as the lawsuit file, other continent other than North American still trade ripple. But, I can not invest in it as it is shady when I have altcoins that are decentralized to go for to give me the profit I want.
5468  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Data suggesting more than 95% traders are losing on: March 04, 2021, 09:35:48 PM
Losing in trading depends, for new traders that are not patient to learn, 99.99% or more of them will lose, trading is not about thinking about profit, it deals mostly to think about ways not to lose and how to manage risks. That 95% traders to be losing is also too high, I think it can not be up to that extent, but trading is risky. Someone can lose millions to trading in just a short period of time. I like to advice about savings which helps people in life, but if want to trade, it should be done with what you can afford to lose.
5469  Economy / Economics / Re: Can the world be without poverty on: March 04, 2021, 09:11:09 PM
In my opinion this all rich though's will never be happen since remember there are greedy people who want to have powers so for this some of them doesn't want to have equal wealth since no one will listen to the leaders of people have capabilities to build up theirselves that's why there's corruption since they want to control people and the economy.
That is just my opinion about this too, if someone is rich, that is an evidence of someone also poor and someone that are in between, life is not equal, life is not the same, we are not exposed to the same things, we are not having the same level of intelligence. The rich also can not want the poor to be like them, even if they wish, what is happening in the community can not make such to happen. The fact is just that all fingers are not equal, some will be rich while some will not be rich.

We need to be careful of the apps we have on phones, only the relevant ones I can use, online has been in a way to be careful of apps to dowlaod. There are many fake apps online with malacious codes that can make one device not to be private but to steal from it. I can not doubt this to happen, in a way app used on devices will be able to monitor the information on our device. The best is to remain from what comes from our phone than another.
5471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If Ethereum classic can be hacked, what is stopping someone from doing it again? on: March 04, 2021, 08:23:43 AM
I do not know of any other blockchain, but can not happen to bitcoin blockchain which is getting stronger all the time than before.
Dude, everything can happen as long you have enough power source on the network to do that.

If you don't know about the 51% attack, try to read first and your question is bitcoin can get a 51% attack? the answer was yes but you need to have a lot resource to dot that because is not easy to dominate the network with more than 51%.
I get your point which only proves the theory not reality, but my point is, it is not possible with the level of hashrate generated by bitcoin miners for bitcoin blockchain to suffer 51% attack. With such hashrate, it is not possible. If the so called ethereum, litecoin blockchain and some others that have far lesser hashrate do not suffer 51% attack, not to talk of bitcoin with the greatest harhrate. Another thing is the level of confirmation, even very possible a coin with 1, 2 or 3 confirmation to suffer the attack, while the 6 confirmation coins won't, which means 51% attack also depends on the depth of confirmation. But as of history and recent, bitcoin as never suffered 51% attack because it can practically not happen, only theoretically.
5472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If Ethereum classic can be hacked, what is stopping someone from doing it again? on: March 03, 2021, 08:25:43 PM
A coin that has a blockchain that was hacked two times, I can not trust such a coin. I read way back last year when it was hacked again that certain measures has been deployed to make sure this never happens again, but I rather go for cryptocurrencies that are not hacked before than the ones that have being hacked two times.

If you think only happen on ETC, this also can happen to all cryptocurrency with PoW algorithm. The attacker will use the double-spending method to steal the cryptocurrency most of their target always exchange.
I do not know of any other blockchain, but can not happen to bitcoin blockchain which is getting stronger all the time than before.
5473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What made you prefer Hitbtc over Binance? on: March 03, 2021, 05:19:56 PM
I have used the two before, my first exchange was hitbtc because I was conscious about hack, I heard the exchange has never being hacked before, but the exchange have many disadvantage, the first is the high withdrawal fee, even high for altcoins. Later I opened binance, I was surprised to see altcoin withdrawal fee to be significantly low compared to hitbtc, also bitcoin withdrawal fee was lower. Also the trading fee on hitbtc is 0.25% for takers aside having being verified which can reduce it but on binance the trading fee is 0.1%
5474  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Should I Upgrade? on: March 03, 2021, 03:14:50 PM
Why do you need to upgrade your cold electrum wallet, I do not think there is any need for that, only what you need to update is the watch only wallet, the cold electrum wallet is just for signing and nothing more than signing. But the watch only wallet will have the features you need to have on electrum, such as RBF and new features on latest versions.
5475  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: About crypto mixers on: March 03, 2021, 02:30:45 PM
I have come across https://bitcoinmix.org/eth before, but I have never used the service before, that means I am not recommending them at all because I have not experience about them and I have not seen anyone using them. I will better prefer to use mixers that are having campaigns on this forum, for ethereum I do not think there is one.

The best I can advice you that can help is to just use noncustodial exchange as third party on noncustodial wallet to convert the ethereum to monero and convert it back to ethereum. Cryptocurrencies transactions like monero can be be traced, making use of such will be good. But for bitcoin there are many recommended mixers to use.
5476  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Trying to get my first multi crypto wallet on: March 03, 2021, 01:45:17 PM
I guess, in general, it would be better to pick a community-vetted open source wallet... Do your own research: it's not because it's in the play store or in apple's store that it's safe!!! There are several wallets, for example f-r-e-e-w-a-l-l-e-t, that are rumoured to pay people for good reviews in google and apple's store, but still rob you blind if you use them.
That is just it, playstores are not just the right place to download wallet, aside what you comment about playstores, also there are hundreds of fake wallets on playstores, very possible for a new person that do not know about crypto yet to download a fake one from playstores.

There's open source vs closed source, but just as important are custodial vs non-custodial wallets (tip: if you have the choice, pick the non-custodial wallet)
This is a good advice, but to include, it will be good to also not download any noncustodial wallet that will request for email, there are many noncustodial wallets these days that are requiring for email, they should not be used for privacy purposes.
5477  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigerian Bitcointalk Community Hangout. {Current topic: NIN & Local board} on: March 03, 2021, 01:02:48 PM
Baba your reasoning make sense that list na him want make people dey put mouth for official thread of campaign were him dey manage as team dey complain about signature and bounty say e no dey help dem project get enough awareness. Make we just dey do well we go make amm happen. Much respect brainboss
There should be other ways wey campaign manager can do that than to indirectly blacklisting some people. Waitin truly happen be say almost all wey dey that list just left him campaign for better ones, that kind thing come pain ham. We know as the thing be, if better campaign dey wey get better pay, na to leave for it without thinking, na how the forum dey. If campaign manager wan make people to dey comment for Ann thread of a company, the thing be say he suppose include ham for the terms of service. Or make him dey remind people to do ham for campaign thread, that list na rubbish.

I for ansa the questions if to sey I understand dem oh. Una know sey I nor dey fit read oyibo language once I nack enta dis owa house. Too much oyibo yarns nor dey good for my bori, you know wha I mean? 🤔🤔
To get local board no mean say you dey only post for your local language, it is about the relevance of your post to your community (Nigeria). I will advice you not to centralize all on Pigin as there are many things relevant to Nigerians we can also communicate in English, that topic about mining in Nigeria is one of them. Know say I no dey post for any other thing than a way to achieve local board. My campaign no dey couunt local board posts but still sacrificing my time to post here waitin go dey relevant to Nigerians, that is called sacrifice.

Considering I've never really mine Bitcoin, I can't really tell if it's profitable to mine Bitcoin in Nigeria. I've also not seen anything remotely about mining in Nigeria. I don't mean those mining apps on app stores but mining using mining hardwares.
I have not noticed this in Nigeria too, and as populated as we are, we suppose to to be part of the first 10 countries that mine most of bitcoin, I do not know what could be causing this. Maybe because Nigerians just like investing and trading bitcoin, not knowing much about the mining aspect.
5478  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: what trading communities do you hang around? on: March 03, 2021, 12:25:49 PM
The first to address is that we should not depend on any community for trading, we need to learn it in and out before making any steps towards trading. I do make use of many trading community, but not so helpful especially for day traders. I have had to learn trading the hard way to help. What I believe most in trading is the technical analysis, I do not use that to play and give more positive result than others. Also I believe much in fundamental analyses, like buying when I read on news about Tesla investing $1.5 billion worth of bitcoin. Both analyses are very important m which is the bases of success in trading.
5479  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Addresses and keys on: March 03, 2021, 12:02:38 PM
Does the wallet software interact with the blockchain to create an address?
NO.

If you need to connect your wallet to a blockchain to create your addresses, what is sort of privacy and security you will have?
A good wallet is a wallet that can be used offline and with air-gapped machines.
Airgapped wallets or offline wallets or cold wallets are the best because the private key is generated not online but offline. But online wallets also neither have to connect to blockchain before generating private key or addresses, all wallets, be it online or offline have algorithm intrinsically embedded in them to be able to generate private keys and addresses, nothing like blockchain needed regardless of any wallet.
5480  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Cashing out a paper wallet made in 2013 on: March 03, 2021, 11:31:29 AM
[Yes, you'd be granted several forks such as Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin SV and Bitcoin Gold on a 1:1 ratio.

As long as you sweep them into a compatible wallet (i.e. that support those forks), you could retrieve them.
If having the forked coin, he can just import the private key on a compatible wallet which will make the forked coins appear and spendable but bitcoin was sent to the wallet in 21018, all those cryptocurrencies forked before 2018 aside bitcoin SV, which means only bitcoin SV is likely to be seen if he sent bitcoin to the wallet before bitcoin SV forked in November 2018.
