5481  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS/Proxy buy] $76.16 Amazon Gift Card balance [5% Discount] on: February 19, 2015, 10:41:14 AM
Strictly Amazon.com?
Yup. That's the only Amazon I have a gift balance on. Sorry.

EDIT: Edited the thread title to reflect that this is for Amazon.com only.
5482  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can I easily put readable quotes into the blockchain on: February 19, 2015, 10:39:53 AM
Thanks, but it's not what I'm looking for.
I want it to be readable without conversion from hex to ascii
Well, you won't be able to do that. As far as I know, all messages in the Blockchain are hex encoded. Coinsecrets and CryptoGraffiti just convert it back for you.
5483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can I easily put readable quotes into the blockchain on: February 19, 2015, 09:55:31 AM
yes
Well, that's a clear answer. Care to explain how, because that's what the OP wants to know. Tongue
5484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can I easily put readable quotes into the blockchain on: February 19, 2015, 09:53:05 AM
yes you can

https://blockchain.info/tx/3d29f43a3278281192943276049c15e5f0d8c7e75d4d99a4cd6693113a948f48

It does not use OP_DROP as that would make the tx non standard. The public key is simply the ASCII message. Look at the last output and hex decode 4d6573736167653a205468616e6b20596f7520466f722054686520427567205265706f7274202d2 07069756b. Messages exceeding 120 bytes will be added in an additional outputs.
I know that you can find messages and convert it from Hex to ASCII, but findftp asks how he can add them and I don't know of any functionality on Blockchain.info to do so. Did they recently add it?
5485  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can I easily put readable quotes into the blockchain on: February 19, 2015, 09:45:00 AM
you can do it with the blockchain.info wallet.
No, you can't. The nodes added to transactions are only readable on blockchain.info itself. It's a centralized system and has nothing to do with the blockchain.

findftp, you could checkout Coinsecrets. It shows OP_RETURN transactions and has a PHP library to create them yourself: php-OP_RETURN. The library requires a Unix based system, PHP 5.x or later and bitcoin-cli installed. You also need to have some BTC in the wallet itself to send the transaction (of course).

You could also checkout CryptoGraffiti, but this doesn't work with OP_RETURN. I forgot what they use though.

The thread has been updated once again. Thanks for the updates guys.
5487  Other / Meta / Re: how to tell why a post was deleted on: February 19, 2015, 08:29:03 AM
As said in your other topic, I cannot delete posts in my overview thread. I'm a moderator in the Dutch subforum, which means that I don't have any powers or rights anywhere else. Outside the Dutch subforum, I'm just a regular member. People deemed your post off-topic, as stated by Cyrus, and he responded to those reports accordingly (in this case, removing them). I have nothing to do with that.
5488  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [request] keybase.io inivation code on: February 19, 2015, 07:33:28 AM
I can give you one if you still need one.
5489  Local / Nederlands (Dutch) / Re: Trust Rating on: February 18, 2015, 11:49:23 PM

5491  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum 2.0 beta version on: February 18, 2015, 01:57:38 PM
you need to create a special wallet, that will contain only imported keys.
see https://electrum.orain.org/wiki/Frequently_Asked_Questions#Can_I_import_addresses_from_other_Bitcoin_clients.3F
Could you guys explain the reasoning behind this and is their anyway around it? I have some imported addresses that are important to me, so I'm going to stick with 1.9.8 for now, I guess.
5492  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Cast Your Vote for your favourite Physical Bitcoin Designs – Ends 18th November on: February 18, 2015, 11:07:43 AM
Tell me, Mr. Professor, how to use an escrow in a competition like this? I've never lost money, but I lost time. I guess its the same
That's easy. Let the creator of the competition put the reward in escrow. That way you can still get paid even if he runs. If the creator of a competition doesn't want to do that, well, stay away.
5493  Economy / Gambling / Re: MoneyPot.com -- The Social Gambling Game on: February 18, 2015, 09:58:18 AM
They must fix the lag.
What lag? There is none, at least not for me on a glass fiber connection. Maybe you need to upgrade your internet connection?
5494  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Cast Your Vote for your favourite Physical Bitcoin Designs – Ends 18th November on: February 18, 2015, 08:40:34 AM
It is a pity that crypto is chicken with unfulfilled promises. I have not received a total of about 3.5 BTC in various competitions and services that I have met.  Angry
This has nothing to do with crypto, but with the people you deal with and your own stupidity. They don't use escrow? Avoid them like hell. People like this can be found everywhere, no matter where you are or what you do.
5495  Economy / Digital goods / [Proxy buy] $76.16 Amazon.com Gift Card balance available [10% Discount] on: February 18, 2015, 08:26:19 AM
Hello everyone,

I have $76.16 on my Amazon.com account which I would like to get rid off, for Bitcoins of course. If you want something from Amazon.com and a discount of top of that, just hit me up and we will work out a deal.

I accept escrow (preferably devthedev, Psychoticboy, Tomatocage or escrow.ms, any fee's are paid by you) and upfront payments. I will not go first, no matter what.
5496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Bitcoin version releases are exciting... But what about adoption time frame? on: February 18, 2015, 07:22:17 AM
Bitcoin is better and better every day, i just hope that will be only constant in future. Personaly, i wish qt can make paper wallet in safe way and simple to do. Also i would not mind if blockchain could be faster to sync.
You do know that 0.10 implements faster syncing, right? Someone was able to fully sync in 12 hours, which is hella fast, and someone else did it in 16 hours. Normally you had to wait two-three days for a full sync. I'm sure that if you have a computer with i7, glass fiber and a good SSD, you can download it in under 10 hours.
5497  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New here on bitcointalk on: February 17, 2015, 09:52:38 PM
I'm going to be the "annoying" mod, but I would like to advise you to read the "Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ"-thread. It contains a lot of information that is quite useful on this forum.
5498  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is this program fake? on: February 17, 2015, 09:50:58 PM
I'm 99,9% sure that it's a fake. I mean, it could be real, but seeing that it's a program to bypass iCould, I highly doubt it.
5499  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] LocalBitcoins.com - a location-based bitcoin to cash marketplace on: February 17, 2015, 09:21:30 PM
Is there any trustworthy Android app that uses localbitcoins API for trading?
I would personally recommend: Local Trader for LocalBitcoins. It's an app I have been using for over a year now. Never had any issues with it.

BEWARE: There is a fake app on the Play Store for Localbitcoins: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=959078.0
5500  Economy / Digital goods / Re: WTB Google Play Gift Card on: February 17, 2015, 09:20:53 PM
Also, are you going to use escrow and if so, who? This, combined with the questions that elephantas1 asked, should be answered in your OP before you post something like this.
