5482  Economy / Speculation / Re: A new step in the system on: January 05, 2015, 06:12:18 PM

decentralized exchange, multisig, transparency - i think people already called that 3-4 years ago.
but that would probaly mean less profit for exchange because they wont be able to manipulate (which i dont actually understand, because i think more trust -> more volume -> more profit)

Which exchange, if it will be decentralized? There will be no exchange in such case, direct transfers, just like localbitcoins but with a peer-to-peer matchmaking database.

I agree a workable solution like this would probaly be the pinnacle
5483  Economy / Speculation / Re: A new step in the system on: January 05, 2015, 05:26:12 PM
Why not simply replace exchange sites with new exchange sites after the operators scam their customers? It works so well!

only works if you are the operator  Undecided

5484  Economy / Speculation / Re: When Stamp re-opens will the price rise or fall? on: January 05, 2015, 05:22:08 PM
If they open for trading but there's suspicion they're no longer fully solvent, withdrawing BTC will be the fastest exit. BitstampBTC may therefore trade higher than other market's BTC IOUs.

What if the hacker sells the 18k BTC on Bitstamp? (if they're stolen)

his plan then is to buy xrp and then Huh

if there are 18 k stolen coins the thief will for sure not go to an exchange which operates under KYC
5485  Other / Meta / Re: Who put VOd on such a high horse? on: January 05, 2015, 07:43:17 AM
i think it is better if both of you try to cool down a bit.

i dont think whatever happened there was out of bad will and both of you just overreacted by alot.

dont start the year with such nonsense  Smiley

...
Thoughts? Comments?

Price being pushed down so certain people with agendas can get in big time before mainstream consolidation. We'll see 100 easily. Big fortuness being too old to understand a paradigm shift and missing on the train, then creating a fictional second train so they can pick up a first class citizen ticket while peasants sell in panic. Classic scenareo.

>paradigm shift
>missing on the train [sic]
>bad grammar/spelling

Another batshit crazy bitcoiner.

Haha I know right?  Why not just go for the most simplest explanation.  That it is a speculative asset that bubbled and now the bubble is bursting as people are waking up from euphoria

The bubble burst 75% ago. But thanks for stopping by Smiley

Yeah it'll settle at the price where an economics support it.  Without a bitcoin only market like silk road who knows where that would be.  Probably zero

God bless terrorists, drug dealers and money launderers Roll Eyes
5490  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin value is going down fast rapidly Now? on: January 04, 2015, 08:06:07 PM
Never buy things that are falling. EVER.

Only buy things that are hitting new highs.  Go buy the DOW Index or the USD.

If BTC breaks $1100, sure buy some.  Until then I would do nothing.

Ironically, never short Bitcoin Wink

You know that op did exactly what you said? Lmao

101 of how to lose money
5491  Economy / Speculation / Re: You are responsible for this on: January 04, 2015, 08:02:41 PM
Not sorry for being so blunt...

You trusted your bitcoins to any other 3rd party? You lost. You kept your coins in any other place than your wallet? You risked your money for nothing.

You daytraded? You helped the price to go down. I for one, sold only when I needed cash, only because I could not pay for much in BTC. Because if I could... I would had 0 fiat currency.

Remember that when you see the price so low it hurts. We had full power as a community to make bitcoin the 8th wonder of the world. But kinda failed.

You kinda sound like the paycoin ceo lol
5492  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who's the true enemy of internet freedom - China, Russia, or the US? on: January 04, 2015, 07:23:41 AM
I have to say that China and Russia is the worst. not only they restrict access from the outside, but inside as well.

we all know about US "digital sovereignty", I don't think it matters really. we're lucky that US gives so much freedom compared to other countries

the state of the US is pretty sad nowadays  Cry
5493  Economy / Economics / Re: Zero Sum Game Theory on: January 04, 2015, 04:42:19 AM
fiat:
you can game the system in favor of a group by printing more fiat or generally speaking forcing certain regulations upon people without their agreement

bitcoin:
to change the algo you have to archieve a consensus between the users.
also being finite is advantageous for a fair distribution in a free market (looking at the longterm)
5494  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 04, 2015, 01:14:07 AM
