... grindr 'euphenisms'....

Had to google "grindr" to find out what you were blathering about.

I'm not really up-to-date on what you LGBT types are doing these days.

You might want to ease up on the abrasives though. Your rectal discomfort seems to be dominating your life.

You actually contributed for Bitcoins by wearing that cap with Bitcoin sign

I probably would have contributed more if I'd worn my cap with the word "Bitcoin" in addition to the logo. A lot of people see my logo-only cap and think I'm a Boston Bruins fan.

That's why I usually wear the one with only the logo. Anyone who recognizes it is pretty much guaranteed to have a basic understanding of Bitcoin. It also gives me a chance to educate the hockey fans.  Smiley

Good afternoon Bitcoinland.

Still going sideways in the $250s I see. Same old same old.
_______

Interesting thing happened to me last night. I was wearing my BTC cap onstage in one of the local bars when some young dude in the audience saw it and during our next break he approached me and struck up a conversation.

When he asked which mobile app I used, I pulled out my device to show him and he immediately scanned the QR code and gave me a 0.05btc tip.

Where I was playing that equaled almost 3 beers. Nice to see that some young people still appreciate rock&roll played on real instruments. Also nice to see Bitcoin being used in the real world.

Thanks bro.

- No legislation on firearms. (They exist to keep the government in control, so the government has amassed more weapons that the entire rest of the world to keep its own citizens in control

I thought the whole idea of the right to bear arms in the US (at least according to Thomas Jefferson) was to maintain a militia specifically to keep the government from getting too big for its britches.

It wasn't so that rednecks could shoot trespassers. It was to shoot soldiers of a corrupt government.

Unfortunately that seems lost now.  It's now illegal to possess the kind of weaponry that will put up any real resistance against modern military arms. Talk about bringing a knife to a gunfight. How about bringing a hunting rifle to modern warfare?

I'm a little older than you and was a child of the post-WW2 era, but I'm sure as a Finn you heard stories of bravery against Stalin's Russia. When you live in the shadow of the kind of regime that annihilates dissidence and imprisons its own citizenry wholesale, it gets a tad scary.

Thank heavens I don't live in the USA.

Land of the free? Yep, highest incarceration rate in the world, mostly for minor herb offenses and/or political stances that run counter to the military-industrial complex and their chosen enterprises.

Home of the brave? More like home of the militarily emboldened, who are as happy abusing their own populace as meddling in the affairs of other sovereign states.

What kind of worthless regime cares more about the military than public health care?

I wouldn't care and would just put the USA on my list of countries never to visit except I have family there and I worry for their lives and freedom.

Also, I lived there for a half year back in 1968 when it still was basically a free country and it saddens me to see how low it has sunk. Pity.

Just be careful if you plan on contributing to the Wagner defense fund. It will probably be treated the same as Snowden donations, an excuse for them to steal anything you own.

Ugh. Totally disgusting.

Why do Bitcoiners start double spacing their posts?

Because that's what civilized people do on forums and message boards to increase readability.

Otherwise you get walls of text.

Why do trolls always post over-sized images that increase scrolling?

Don't they know how to resize an image?
-fart-

Still sore? Too much abrasive in the lube?

Who cares about miners? They have no vote and nothing to say.
Relevant are only the 3 till 5 admins/owners of the biggest mining pools. They decide.

Miners do decide in which pools to participate. That is their vote.

At least it offers more choice than a 2-party political system.

Good afternoon Bitcoinland. Slept in a little on this Good Friday.

Still going sideways I see, but at least it's still over $250. Does it stay there this time?

Slowly creeping up is a good thing.

Mmm coffee.

Lots more shorters coming out the woodwork!

Alert!!! Beartrolls coming!!! Warning!!!

Too late. As usual, a $2 dip and they're braying like donkeys.

That's enough for me for tonight. Off to bed.

It's getting past my bedtime but I feel like staying up a bit longer to see how this unfolds.

Could go either way.

Everyone else asleep?

You're missing a fun show.

I can't see any thing amazing going on?

Nothing amazing, but a $5 rise in about an hour through an apparently substantial askwall immediately following a 7k dump is entertaining, at least to me.
5513  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 03, 2015, 08:35:39 AM
That zany 7.8k coin shenanigan seemed to spark this little rise over $255.

Strange indeed.

Someone probably just got robbed

Unless it was an exchange/API glitch, someone just scored a whale's breakfast of coins with zero slippage. Well played.
5516  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 03, 2015, 07:31:44 AM
Over 7k coin dump to go down a buck and a half and immediately bounce back up?

Hidden orders are BS. Phony as shit.

Hilarious though. Was that the megadump the bears where saying would crash us under $200?

LOL
5517  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 02, 2015, 05:21:27 PM
yea, boom to 252 and 1560 Chian money.

 Cheesy

that's how desperate you are bag holders.

My bag contains one microSD chip. Yours contains a bunch of linen notes. Which is easier to hold? I guess you'll have something to wipe your ass with, so you have that going for you.

Only one microSD chip? I hope you mean per off-site location.

As for Tarmi's linen, at least it can be used to wipe your ass, unlike the hologram and microchip infested plastic abomination we call "banknotes" here in Canada.

Paper money and paper wallets are really misnomers. They're both made of plastic these days.

Good morning Bitcoinland. Glad to see that last night's DDoS attack was short-lived.

Still going sideways I see. It doesn't seem to want to stay over $250 or under $240.

Yawn.

Oh ChartBuddy, what would I do without you?

Now that Chartbuddy has achieved 700 activity points and is eligible for Legendary status, I nominate it for immediate promotion.

Thank you Richy_T.

I still cannot comprehend why do people buy this "public servant" stuff? Try not to pay taxes or to tell a policemen/judge to F off and you'll see who are the bosses and who is merely a bunch of servants.

There's a world of difference between policemen/politicians and judges. Judges are bosses while cops and politicians are just servants.

It's an almost cyclic hierarchy. Small local gangs may intimidate members of the general public but are easily trumped by larger international organizations like the Crips or Hell's Angels, who are in turn trumped by the police.

The police in turn are trumped by lawyers who are trumped by judges (right up to the Supreme Court).

The judges (at least here in Canada) are appointed by politicians who ultimately must answer to the general public on election day.

What makes it a hierarchy and not just a circle jerk is the fact that despite being appointed by politicians, judges can overrule them and declare their legislation void. This is why I consider them to be bosses while the cops, lawyers and politicians are just servants.

Yes, you can avoid paying taxes if your accountants and lawyers can convince a judge that you shouldn't have to pay, despite what the politicians and cops have to say.

To me this is basic and essential to any democracy.
