What is the need to rise in rank quickly?
Some people want higher rank ( more pennies from signature campaign ) We can rank up soon, after a year perhaps. Then after that, if no one give me merit after creating quality posts, then I'll take another alternative to gather them. Don't ask me how hahaha I won't tell you anyway.
If you break it down, you totally can see that you only need 1 merit / day on average to rank up. It wont be hard if you post daily |

To my mind recent updates will have positive effect only for high-ranked accounts in order to stay dominant, I am writing it though I am FullMember but I personally think that there are more negative sides of this new policy other than positive. What do you think guys?
Of course there will be some negative sides One of the huge negative side will be that most people will stuck at the lower rank because not everyone is capable of making 'high quality post' However this actually discourage people to spam for activity or account farming. Also at the same time discourage people to join signature campaign ( you get small amount of payment if your rank is low ) thus no more incentive to post means less spammy post in the forum
Bottomline, no system is perfect and no system can satisfy everyone edit : oh wait what, cant we just stay in one thread to discuss this? this is probably like 12345678th thread about merit that I have seen

Got some smerit to give away as well
Not really sure how things works as Im not 100 % certain yet
but few points that I can get is that
1. The whole merit point is used so that user could rank up, basically giving incentives for people to post better
2. You get 0.5 smerit for 1 merited post of yours ( I read this It seems but couldnt find it again )
So instead of giving my smerit to user that is already on hero or legendary account then he could just got half smerit of what I sent him, IMHO it is better to send it directly to smaller rank account that needs it (?)

Bottomline, if you need some smerit to give I'll probably could help with small amount. I'll leave the jdugement to you though, as I dont really got time to skim and review everyone's post

Indeed Dtube looks and act like steemit, not much of full cycle economics in place, they do not support the full food chain of users as BuzzShow do.
Simply different approach to the all matter.

I don't follow. Could you explain in layman's terms what are the fundamental differences and what's the advantage (if any) for users to chose BuzzShow over Dtube? In short term, buzzshow that actually cycle the native token to everyone including viewer unlike Dtube. This is much better because as a viewer, you do want to get something in return as well for spending numerous time there The token can be use to add content from another channel to your own channel as well and when someone watch it you get token in return as well. This is what it meant to be a full cycle of food chain |

Because being active in the forum doesnt mean that you dont shitpost here. This is pretty much better than the old system Because it will not stop spam posts. Activity can be gained by just making posts daily one on average. Merit is to ensure that people make quality posts.
I do not think 99% of high-quality posts will give Merits. I understand that BCT needs to stop spam. But I think merits is not a good idea. No one will give smerits to Jr or Member. Probably, or those who want to rank up can appeal for merit (?) (Basically like a post checking squad for anyone that wants to rank up would be cool huh ). If it is good enough to rank, Im sure they will be given merit |

No, it isn't. For current members, your initial merit score is equal to the minimum required to your rank. Of that, a certain amount (less than the usual half) is spendable. The spendable amount was calculated based on your current rank and the number of activity points you earned in the last year. A Legendary member who hasn't posted in the last year would still be Legendary, but would not have any spendable merit.
Pretty sure I got more than 20 activity last year but oh well I guess there is no formula for this . Atleast something new to tweak in this old forum  |

Don't focus too much in your red trust, focus on how can you improve your field of information so you may say or state your answer in the thread in a right way, expand your your knowledge as they saying says knowledge is power.
Maybe along the way you can enlighten others on some aspects, then they may give you a positive trust to neutralize the red mark.
Or dont do anything at all? The only matter here is not being able to participate in signature campaign, it doesnt limit you in participating any discussion in bitcointalk |

Since buzzshow is decentralized platform, how will you control users that will upload unethical contents and hoax video information on the platform?
is there will be moderators? or this is a curators job?
I have same question about this, if you do not have rules about which videos are authentic or hoaxes, then I can imagine how many people will use this platform just to get benefit by showing for a hoax video, because nowdays is looks like something hoax more get attention than the authentic. It is almost impossible to define which is a fake news or not nowadays. One person cant definitely do everything so the platform is going to have 'report' feature on the site . If there is a numerous amount of report then the content will be taken down for sure |
