well, i think selling bitcoin should only happen in two cases. one is that if you really need the cash you have invested in bitcoin and have no other way of getting it and two is if you are a trader and expect the price you want to sell at is the top of a bubble and it is about to burst.

as much as i love to see this happening, i don't think it will. because of your time frame. 7/18 is less than two months away and i don't think any mega bubble can get to $2000 in this short time. there will be a lot of newbies who will sell and get out on the sight of the first rise and after reading the first FUD. so $2000 will take longer but it is possible IMO.

just tell us something new that we haven't heard before. bitcoin was supposed to crash to $100 when it was stable above $200 then after a couple of months it was supposed to crash to $100 again when it was stable above $300 and then again after it was stable above $400 and recently it was supposed to die when it came down from 470 to 450.
now that we are back at $470 who looks silly with this train of false speculations?

i think there are other ways that you can double your bitcoin which are both easy and have less risks. gambling falls under a bad way of doing this because of its high risks.
if you have skills in a job or service you do, then you can easily make that much money and don't even think about gambling.

yeah, it is still a very young technology and such a new technology which is also revolutionary will need a long time to be accepted by the people and reaches the mass adoption. but it will happen because it is also a good technology.

it will all come down to the use cases and how trusted the coin and its developers are. so far all i have seen from ethereum was hype after hype and then when you think it is over another hype just to pump and dump the coin like hundreds of other coins before it.

no, same thing here too. the bot was reset on the payment date which was 23rd and still no payment.

well, i think you either have to be a long term investor to think like what you said and just hold for the period of time you have set for yourself like a year or five.
or you have to be a day-trader and always look at the market to sell if the price goes down and not wait for $400 and sell sooner and buy back when it stopped.
so you have to choose a category first.

yeah i think bitcoin had a positive impact on my life since the day i found out about it. mostly it was because of the methods of earning money online that bitcoin has created for me like trading which i never know how it even works before.

i have only always came back for gambling just because i have fun doing it and i enjoy different games. although i have not lost as much as OP ever but also i only gamble with small amounts

just hold them for a while until after the halving and wait for a rise, and if you are a long term holder you can hold for a couple of years at least.

for investing bitcoin i suggest trading altcoins, you can buy promising altcoins when they are low and then sell it high to make profit.

there are other method but i am not a fan of any of them, to find those use the search.

in the end, it doesn't matter what you think about gambling. it is just a game. and surely it is not an investment or business unless you own the casino and others are gambling in your website not the other way around.

so you should only look at it like a game and try to have fun while playing it.

i was making myself ready for the halving back when the price was $200 and i was buying bitcoin every week. and also with the recent dip i could even buy some more bitcoin to add to my stash for the halving, so i will be facing it with full hands

when you gamble in a gambling site ( a casino) as long as the casino is fair (which you can check it by the way) you can be sure that it is only your luck that is controlling the result not anything else.

but when you use a hyipe you are risking your bitcoin by giving it away to an unknown person which "you know" is going to scam you and run away with all the investments sooner or later.

this only sounds like a good news but i think it is not as good as it sounds in reality and also has no effect on bitcoin whatsoever.

these people especially from third world countries doesn't have any computer knowledge and they do not care about bitcoin and even if they have some kind of income with bitcoin they are doing it with micro-jobs like surveys, faucets, PTC sites, ponzi schemes and all kinds of meaningless low paying jobs and will dump bitcoin as soon as they earn it to get the fiat.

it is not difficult it only needs time so it is possible to get there. and as of today we can see this adoption already and i believe it goes hand in hand with bitcoin going mainstream as they both contribute to each other on this matter to move bitcoin forward.

ethereum is good for one thing and one thing only, and that is if you can buy it at the bottom when the price is low before the pump and dump it as soon as you see the top without any hesitation. otherwise you will only lose money by holding it any longer.

another obituary for bitcoin, is it? and again i see nothing that can compete with bitcoin so far. and in the end one thing is certain for me, even if bitcoin turns to shit i will never turn to an altcoin like ETH DAO for alternative especially since they are being controlled by a couple of people who are holding the majority of the endless supply coin.

it is really going to suck if another big bitcoin related service turns into scam and goes down, especially because they have been kind of a huge deal in bitcoin both for buying bitcoin and using as a wallet.
