5501  Other / Meta / Re: Alt Account hacked, email changed. on: August 13, 2016, 01:48:55 AM
I haven't posted any addresses...why would I post a public address? And since I no longer have access to my PMs, I don't know what addresses I used there. So yeah, it is a lot. Also my email has F2A, so probably less likely to be breached than my private keys.
https://blockchain.info/address/1EQ9KgSKx11kev4CtZYVdPR4hJGFcM7xxX
What about this address?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=750723.msg11074738#msg11074738

Or this one?
5502  Other / Meta / Re: Alt Account hacked, email changed. on: August 13, 2016, 12:26:08 AM
Well shit....that's ridiculous you need that much information.

Why can't they just confirm that my email address was the one it was registered with...
That's not a lot of information. It takes less than a minute to verify your identity, and this would be the best way for security purposes. Unless someone buys/takes your private key, you're solid on verification.

Emails are more likely to be breached than private keys. A lot more likely.
5503  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetcoinPoker.com Betcoin.ag-Big Tourneys-BONUS-Freerolls, Ring Games, Real Poker on: August 13, 2016, 12:16:20 AM
So has  the money they took from Jasonort for the freeroll been returned? What happened  to the freeroll. Did they spend the money and dont have the funds for the freeroll.
"What freeroll?" - Betcoin.ag probably

Sorry, but do you really expect them to offer a freeroll after all they've done? Excuse after excuse will be spilled, and questions will be ignored day and night. That is how Betcoin works.

Known multi-accounter, liar, DDOS'er, shill, and troll.  Absolutely avoid playing in any poker rooms this player frequents.  Also known to lose all his money on the tables then return to make baseless accusations.  Affiliates and vouches for an advertised thief:

I have no Trusted feedback from you scam artist!

The feedback you give to others counts as trusted for you.

To all future spammers: do not "educate" game-protect about how the trust system works. I've already discussed everything relevant to him via PM.

It would help to create a single thread to view and report spamming/copypasting content. I wouldn't like to see these threads pop up day and night. As well as this, I could (previously mentioned) compile a list and reference (like the alternate account thread)

5507  Other / Meta / Re: Illiterate sig spammers on: August 12, 2016, 06:17:30 PM
Had no point just like the thread, you can not expect this forum to grow if you are always attacking aspects of it.
The continued grunting about signatures achieves little other setting the stage for people to dismiss people based on their signature.

Dare some one to compile all the threads on the nasty signature spammers, bet you notice a pattern or two.
Yeah well, welcome to bitcointalk.  This has been going on since the start of sig campaigns, and that was well before I got here.   It's a healthy debate.   The real problem isn't in the debate itself but in all the garbage that gets posted.  And the more I think about it the more I really like the proposed legendary restriction.  I wouldn't mind an invite-only section here, too, that could be free of shitposters.  Or something.   There's just too much crap to sift through here.

Let's not forget in Meta that there's dozens of threads pertaining to the same question, like the leet post count threads or removal of signatures (campaign or not). I think what would also clear up some space in Meta is if there was a master thread of hacked accounts. Instead of having a scores of them pop up every week, we can at least limit it to a single thread where it can be even organized by someone.

Hell, I'm willing to compile that sort of data! (Shoot a PM if anybody's on board)

As I've mentioned previously, would it be a good idea to create a sort of "master list" for spammer reports in a thread? "That's what the report function is used for," sure, but it could at least pool several accounts with blatant results together, and if the list could (potentially) help to:
perhaps speed up the ban hammer by half a day

Is it time to create that thread?
5508  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bitsler.win - scam on: August 12, 2016, 12:59:51 AM
I don't know why you follow that person. Strategies in gambling don't work, and videos promoting gambling sites (and this one was a referral link, the real site is bitsler.com) are there to purely get your money.

(OP was sourced from Adam Guerbuez, a "notorious" marketer who promotes a lot of gambling sites with "strategies" that work which are simply lucky streaks of his, to advertise a referral link for people who fall for the bait)

I think bitcointalk should allow to wear signatures only starting from Sr. Member or Hero Member rank. It would help to decrease amount of spam. Offcourse, it won't help to avoid spam from farmed accounts
And I think signature campaign managers should be stricter. It looks like some of them don't care about quality of campaign participants posts.
And it would be good if moderators would lock topics when question was already answered and spamers only starts to repeat it in different words.
So then you wouldn't mind not having a signature anymore? You could, after all, disable it right now as all you reply on is Micro Earnings and a signature is unnecessary there. (Or anywhere lest you own a service/product)
5511  Other / Meta / Re: Spam report (skysblu) on: August 09, 2016, 06:53:21 PM
this user has made 40 1 liner posts within the last two hours, im requesting for him to be banned, looking on the early posts of the account, post were made with every other week or so which means it was probably farmed, maybe it got sold a few hours ago or owner is trying to gain all the potential activity. Either way, i am requesting a ban for this spammer
The account is most likely the owner's, unless it was sold a while ago and the new owner was farming it until now. He'll be banned eventually, and you'll forget about his posts in due time. The moderators are stalwart - they'll find his posts.

So you're thinking that there are people who would report thousands of posts just to receive a small icon? I don't even notice those anymore.

Small, yet many people grind faucets for a minimal amount of bitcoins. Why would someone not want to get an icon? At the very least, some people would be incentivized by it. It's kind of a pride-based thing, perhaps.

I disagree with this. There is no zero reason for the (e.g.) contributor rank to make people think that "they're more reliable than others". Similarly, being a donator or VIP shouldn't cause that either. IMHO the best way to proceed is with something like a rank.
Players unfamiliar with how trust works are who I suspect may have issues (expectation that higher rank = higher trustworthiness)
5514  Economy / Gambling / Re: [WiseBet - The World's Very First BTC IRC Gambling Channel - 2 BTC Giveaway] on: August 07, 2016, 08:47:13 PM
The site and concept seems totally primitive form of online betting. Though the P2P thing is good, people would have loved a gui based gambling site. Anyway I'm in with my username tsaroz. Let's try some bets.

Yes its very basic I was thinking the same. Come on guys its 2016 not 1980.
We want a nice GUI to enjoy.
And some people (like me) prefer this type of look. Sometimes people have different tastes.

IRC Name: actmyname
Reason why I want to win: More bitcoins are always nice. I haven't before done these types of gambling games on IRC before - it would be cool to give it a shot. Right now after viewing a little bit of the roulette game I'm looking forward to playing some of it. I love the ASCII aesthetic - it reminds me of MUDs and older roguelikes, which are always great.
5516  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Beware] TwitchySeal: Abuses his Rep, replies to his own posts with alts, etc on: August 07, 2016, 06:56:59 PM

That's about a post he posted on the Betcoin.ag thread which he requested not be politicized on this forum.  You can find the post there....Somehow the content of that post was snipped and brought here to be politicized against jasonort's wishes, which unlike TwitchySeal, we should all respect.

You mean to say that

Betcoin.ag has just erased my entire post on their forums.  I gave them every opportunity to explain their side of this.  I did not throw them under the bus.  I was civil.  And now they erase my post and just expect me to disappear?  Game on.

has no relevance whatsoever and you're completely ignoring that? Don't focus on Twitchy's post. Focus on jasonort's post.
5517  Other / Meta / Re: Does successfully reporting a thread give you more activity? on: August 07, 2016, 06:55:14 PM
Financial incentive would be definitely abused (look at sig spammers doing it for pennies) but something like this - why not:

a special rank (similar to Donator & VIP, e.g. contributor) after X amount of posts and also somewhere later maybe throw in a one time user-name change.

Vanity-type incentives are likely the best ones to provoke people to do something. However, I wouldn't necessarily think of a rank as that would potentially add some trust issue-type problems, of people thinking that they're more reliable than others. Would an icon work? (Though it would have to be a lot of reports, and perhaps with a minimum % accuracy)

Here's a Wikipedia list of minimum wages by country: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_minimum_wages_by_country
Anyway, as for the ones that are relevant (with minimum wages starting at 0.01 usd/hr) there are 69 (if I've counted correctly) countries that have minimum wages of <$1 usd hourly. The map helps to really show the difference between the higher wages vs the lower ones, but you always need to consider cost of living to truly understand.
