Watford also ruined my acca Trofo. I don't even want to say how much for, as it included 2 smallish upsets elsewhere. Didn't expect I'd have to count another upset in my acca. Norwich 3/1 to win this should have warned me it wasn't going to be as easy as it felt. Denis getting red-carded too, heh.

You know the full moon had something to do with it when Pukki turns from scorer to provider.

Manchester City is on their way to lift Pep Guardiola’s fourth premier league title, and their play has shown no flaws or cracks for opponents to try and exploit. If teams want to challenge for the title, it will have to be Liverpool, and Liverpool only. They are far behind City, but are the only ones with the power and creativity to make a run. Let’s analyze Manchester City versus West Ham.

I've got Hammers pat down. They're struggling to make amends for losing ground, and actually did City a huge favour by taking out both Chelsea AND Liverpool by the same scoreline (I actually remember the Liverpool loss very well as wasn't even watching it, just keeping text updates from phone). Actually, they have been participants to 3-2 games FIVE times this season, all in the Premier League! Can we see another 3-2 win against Citeh?

Hey guys, probably spent WAY too much time fussing over this triple stakes game. I was actually waiting for Gane to up to 2/1, when I first started checking odds were 1.91 but I missed that boat as his position as the favourite just got stronger and stronger --  so I've gone done and said enough and put down some money on Ngannou, that triple winning thing a bit hard to ignore!

I switched to check out Barty - Giorgi match a bit since I knew that one will be much shorter so I did not see much of second set. Now back to Osaka match, must say I am impressed by Anisimova, she is hitting the ball beautifully. I knew she had good results but this is first time I am actually watching her play. Osaka has a serve advantage and that is it. This will be a very close match.

Disappointed to check back and see her lose even with serve advantage but yes Anisimova (spelled wrong first time) definitely well worth her tie-breaker. Didn't watch as had to tune out but just saw highlights now -- only problem is her service, either really good, or really poor, thankfully for her Osaka didn't return well, and in the end I was wrong about her nerves settled, she still looked like she gave up too many times. Well done on your win, would have followed you if not for some wallet mismanagement =)

Epic, still, and I've no skin left in this GS except for good ol' Tsitsi but he'll be playing way too early for me to watch.
5505  Economy / Speculation / Re: ₿ not going below 40.000 (probably) on: January 21, 2022, 10:38:58 AM
With this move, there is a high chance that we might see a bear market but lets wait for further confirmation because there is a chance that this might be a false breakout like what happened last time when Bitcoin went below $40,000.

Have to say am a bit miffed there wasn't even a hint of a bounce (as I'd been long expecting once 40k would break). Instead, what happened was a brief flicker above $43k and then just losing all that ground to plough $38k. Pretty disappointing, and even without volume I see it hard for selling pressure not to continue into the weekend.

Oh well, my BTC balance keeps growing then.
5506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 21, 2022, 09:57:18 AM
Also watching US v Japan. But yee yikes Osaka, started as strongly as expected, but Asimova claimed a fine set to take it to third, and it seemed for a flash or two like Osaka was happy to give up the second set to focus on third, least it seemed that way to me, agree Trofo?

Thought it was going away already with two early points surrendered at the net (and 2 won from Asimova out of bounds) but once the first game was won, nerves seem a bit settled. Asimova is killing herself with way too many double faults... but now I have to stop watching, so hope Osaka closes this out, while Barty does look like having a close 2nd set too...

P.S. I'm not Timelord, only time I ever bet on women's tennis is 2:1 wins like today Wink

Pretty cool news to hear, Steve! I'm sure there will be more details of this, but any time I hear about more coins being taken out of circulation, suits me pretty well Wink Probably the most interested or excited would be the space guys at Estonia. They ever done anything like this before? Crypto's had quite a ride, hasn't it? Dogecoin sponsoring winter Olympics all those years ago, and now helping a student group launch its satellite. Be cool to have more info on that part of it!
5508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🎰 Sportsbet.io 🎰 "Soccer Blackjack" @ 21.00 odds on: January 20, 2022, 06:09:18 PM
I've to say, Ivory Coast - Algeria surprised me. Thought it was going to be a win actually but 22 at the final whistle, just one point too far -- but actually happened with a yellow on 84th minute and then proceeded to finish 8 minutes without incident.

Liverpool-Arsenal is next (hope I did the format right), and as I said before, can't help but do a max bet on this Wink

5509  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC has crossed $43k what's next? on: January 20, 2022, 02:37:40 PM
But still a long way to go, it's only $42k and we've been in this kind of price for the last 2 weeks already so there is no movement whatsoever and the chart tell everything, we are indeed in a sideways movement.

The question is will we able to break or have a break out run on the positive upside? Really hard to tell at this point but to not disappoint us, we should be thinking ahead and that we should take into account a bear market already as early as this month.

Yeah. Every week approaching Friday I'm prepared to dig in and see us break the floor and plumb depths of 35k, OR a fallback from 42k/43k to register a big bounce on 40k... none of this has happened yet. Every week's delay of the break out, even in sideways trading, does seem to stack more chips in the bears camp. Probably some big guys nearing fatigue after entering just around 40k too -- 5% gains is interesting enough for them?

So after wasting all those freebets, a few close calls and I thought I made good on one last night, Sevilla the only one left on a an acca. It wasn't to be. Still got one of those freebets riding on Tsitsipas outright, so at least I got loads going for AO!

Thanks, Steve, I had (am having) fun!

So this Bitcoin promo thing. Price prediction? Saylor-esque Bitcoin buy from Sportsbet?
5511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man lost everything to Crypto on: January 20, 2022, 12:19:34 PM
The issue here was gambling. Which is all this guy did, really, which he says himself, so a bit of a misleading title. He'd have made a lot more and kept his day job if he actually DID get into Bitcoin and just held.

Addiction. Don't matter if it's drugs, alcohol, sex, gambling, pain. Addiction is a quick path to ruination if you don't recognise it and trim it to manageable levels.
5512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Sportsbet.io discussion & predications thread rev on: January 20, 2022, 10:41:16 AM
For now, my leans are the Packers, Titans and Rams +3, as long as Henry plays for the Titans they should take care of business against the Bengals. The same goes for the Packers, the Niners have some questionable plays against the Cowboys so I doubt they'll be able to play that cautiously against a solid Packers team at home. The Rams seems like toss up but I prefer the extra points since they took down the Bucs during the regular season.

Odds keep dropping for Packers (was hoping for the other direction) so it's really not quite so worth it, so I've now put them as a padding to all my other football (soccer) picks. Barely 14/10 now with a price boost, so value's out the window.

At this point, though, Rams do look the best value bet, 24/10 with a price boost, and if you want add a bit of sweet spread as I don't think there will be ANY close games here.

I used to think people who actually took the trouble to own Bitcoin properly (with private keys and all that) had a bit of sense. Ashamed to say that I continue to overestimate people and their greed.

Something tells me he didn't really have to work hard to earn that BTC, though. You don't just part with such sums if you bled at least a little to get that.

Wow guys, what on earth happened at King Power? Watched it for a bit then switched to United/Brentford, thinking after 2-1 Leicester, I'd end up with no points. Then 96th and 97th minute, Bergwijn of all people scores two goals and Spurs get a massive win for Conte. Odds were at least 45/1 when I last checked around 80th min!

Close score to start off the night, crazy!
5519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🌍⚽Sportsbet AFCON prediction pool discussion thread on: January 19, 2022, 09:02:56 PM
Surprised I actually got good points from tonight's matches. Exact score on Egypt, Close on Nigeria. Ultimately doesn't really help me, and the odds were far too low on them for me to add to accas, so I'm just checking it out for the ride. Whomever's got Egypt on the outright Promo will be happy to get the win though! So far not very good for any team unless you picked Nigeria (which I guess you did igehhh?).
5520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Sportsbet.io discussion & predications thread rev on: January 19, 2022, 05:17:49 PM
Are you referring to putting money on the Rams going forward? I put a few dollars on the Rams last night. I just hadn’t had faith in the Cardinals since they started what seemed like their downfall several weeks back during the regular season. Plus not having Hopkins was a massive blow to them. Without a star wide receiver there just wasn’t enough elite talent for them on that side of the ball.
From what I read, he will be putting something more on the Packers next match since they win it will put them into Superbowl where his outright bet made at 8.50x odds lies.

Nope, not Rams, as rdbase said, I'm "doubling down" on Packers. They're my last outright ticket so I'd love to bet on them perhaps a ML spread, I smell blood and a big win, or a whimper of a loss. Not just yet, though. I'm going to wait to the end to see if odds are worth pulling trigger for.

Doesn't look familiar to me this weekend Divisional scene, but I fancy one or two more upsets, so I'll keep eyes peeled.
