5541  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Xapo.com Debit Card Not Working and Support Plain Sucks! on: February 05, 2015, 08:44:57 AM
i am glad the card is working for you but i am little bit lost why would the card not be working in your area? I thought the card was a Visa or Mastercard and i thought it had the customers name printed on it? Is this information not correct?
This has nothing to do with Xapo. Not a lot of shops accept VISA in my country, because it isn't a mainstream thing over here. Most shops here just prefer our own banking system, because the fee's are a lot lower and it's less of a hassle to accept it.

Let's cross post in here as well!

I got my Xapo debit card without being fully registered. Yes, I had to fill in my basic details, but they never requested an ID. I have used the Xapo debit card and it works great, just like their app. Their website? Not so much. It's very confusing (for example the buying Bitcoins part) and sometimes so slow that I have to login again before I can do something, which is quite annoying.

All my support questions have always been answered within 24 hours so I'm a happy customer at Xapo.

I have used my debit card and it works like it should. Sadly not a lot of shops accept it in The Netherlands. Oh well, still an amazing thing to have for when I need cash and only have Bitcoins. Grin

Interesting , had not see the above, seems like it is only occasionally enforced.

Just wanted to know if someone had it out for me since it seemed so trival, that is why I wanted to have a name or id attached, if there were any more in the future.

Oh Well , no biggie, just seemed a little cowardly to zap a post without anyone knowing who they are.

 Cool
It is enforced quite a lot, but we can't see every post that doesn't follow the forum rules. If you see posts like that, please report them and we will take care of them. I highly doubt anyone had it out for you, as we are just enforcing the forum rules.

Well, I understand why this decision has been made. The staff gets abused enough without people sending them complains about their deleted posts.
5545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forum moderation policy on: February 04, 2015, 08:43:36 AM
Just had a +1 to a post deleted today.
...
You can't. Why would you want to contact this person anyway? You posted a one-word reply and it got deleted conform the forum rules.

Forum rules

...
Examples:

1. Such posts like "SELL SELL SELL", "I agree", "+1", "Support", "Watching", "Interesting", "LOL", "SCAM", "LEGIT", "FAKE", other one word posts, posts consisting mostly of swearing, quote pyramids, useless introduction threads, threads about a topic already recently discussed in several other threads.

5546  Other / Meta / Re: I would like to delete my account is that possible on: February 04, 2015, 08:39:09 AM
Could I request an username change?
You can by PM'ing Theymos or Badbear, but the chance that it will be granted is so low that it's easier to just create a new account with the username you want.
5547  Other / Meta / Re: I would like to delete my account is that possible on: February 04, 2015, 08:35:10 AM
It's not. Also, this is posted in the wrong subsection.

5550  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Blockchain-DB.com - Store Messages / Data on the Blockchain! on: February 03, 2015, 01:26:12 PM
Is that not classed as hacking, do you have permission to add data to the blockchain?
Just asking.
No, this has been done for ages, even satoshi did it if I'm not mistaken. A good example is the older website cryptograffiti.info. I Just noticed that blockchain-db.com has put a message in the Blockchain as well, however cryptograffiti.info works better for me, because it doesn't break the sentences.

I suppose then it's just the same as when I add a note.
If I know who the transaction is from, I sometimes add a note as reminder.
It's out there for all to see when I do that.
I got ya now.
You are talking about the notes that you see on Blockchain.info, right? If so, those aren't stored in the blockchain and are useless without Blockchain.info.

The admins are aiming to be back online by wednesday.
That's not what stingleword has told me in a PM about the signature campaign:
I will re-open once Lucky Bit is restored; this is expected to be on Thursday.
5552  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: February 03, 2015, 12:03:08 PM
bitmixer has same rate for full member up to legendary. Not that weird if you put in perspective

You have 2 extra coins right? Or did I misunderstood?
You misunderstood. I would have two coins left if BitcoinAccepted didn't pay up in a week. However, he is going to so I have none after I ship them.
5554  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [CLOSED][GROUP BUY][EU] Kialara Physical Bitcoin 2014/2015 [ROUND 2] on: February 03, 2015, 11:18:36 AM
Are you planning any further GB's? I'm late to the party and I love this as a piece of interactive sculpture but can't really warrant five of these to the eu.
Yes, I am, so no worries. Do you want me to contact you if I open another one?
5555  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Bitcoin Personal Wallet on: February 03, 2015, 10:36:23 AM
So did anyone receive the card???
Please confirm
Nothing yet. Like I said, I'm sure someone will say something once they received it.

Hi

Apologies - been offline for last few weeks.

Still want to complete payment but waiting on new funds to hit exchange as cashed out everything with recent price jump.

How long can you wait or can anyone suggest an alternative to speed things up. (Trusted member BTC - Paypal or similar???)

I'm good for it and have been selling on here for a couple of years just pulled everything out without thinking of the group buy.
Just send the BTC as soon as you have it. The package hasn't been posted yet, so you got time. Wink

secondstrade.com raised payout rate and changed  the rule like below.
...
The same rate for Full Member and Senior? That's... weird.

Anyway, the OP has been updated.

No worries. I'm going to sent Kialara the PM with specifications right now and ask Devthedev to send the BTC required to Kialara.
5560  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [CLOSED][GROUP BUY][EU] Kialara Physical Bitcoin 2014/2015 [ROUND 2] on: February 02, 2015, 09:12:30 PM
Okay, no worries. Mitchell, please PM me which coins have been paid for and which have not. X_2014, X_2015 and let me know which you would prefer for yourself also. I don't foresee there being any issues here.
I will sent you a PM as soon as icey has paid. Seeing that he has said that he will today, waiting for him is only fair, don't you agree?
