Hey, does anyone know how ip.bitcointalk.org knows if a specific image has been posted on bitcointalk.org?
Since putting random image urls to the proxy fails.
This is one of the reason: If the image url contains a valid image extension ie: jpg,png,gif etc, image proxy will work otherwise it won't.
and the other might be: The i.imgur link points directly to the image whereas the imgur.com link goes to the imgur page that also shows the picture and the bandwidth and other pictures.
Any imgur link can be replaced with i.imgur and you'll see the picture with no other info.
The above is about imgur.com but I think you can understand what it means. Just don't look at the website link or name. Ah my bad sorry, I guess image proxy is not working for new images since January. Old images are working because they are cached by the proxy. Actually, the both links posted above is working for me. |

hey guys! I just started using a couple of Asic miners, hooked up to my pc, but the pool im interested in joining via BFGminer wont work, it says something like "pool is dead" when trying to add the pool in BFGminer... at first, i used Guiminer for a while, but that software cant detect my new hardware ^^ the pool im interested in joining is BTCMP.com. help a noob-fella out! ?  Which ASIC miners are you using? You are using getwork or stratum? Can you please share your .bat file or config file? They are charging higher fees, so try to join any other pool. -MZ |

Could I request an username change?
If it's a problem of username, do like buziss and redsn0w told or just create a new account with desired username. If you do any if the method, you should change the email in the old account(b0art) or use a new email in the new account. -MZ |

Like others told, it isn't a big problem and shouldn't be truncated by default. It is needed especially when quoting but if the user who quotes doesn't like it, he/she can remove it. While I agree that it would be a pain in the arse to scroll past nothing I have seen no one with the problem OP describes since 12/2013.
Any user(s) got banned or did he/she/they left? It shouldn't be truncated by default. Report annoying posts with empty lines.

It take some time to get into the action but if you want a fast re-action from mod, report the post by clicking 'Report to moderator' situated at bottom-right. There is a high chance that the spams near to the reported one getting deleted. ~~MZ~~ |

I see some people doing it but I guess they are doing it manually to quote several peoples posts .
Even if 'Multi-Quote' is enabled, it has to be done manually too unless you meant 'Multi-Quote' in another way which I didn't understand. What I keep doing in my posts is mentioning the person which really sucks to be honest example : @Muhammed Zakir Thanks for loaning mate

Most people do! so Basically what should be done , first of all a quick reply box at the bottom of each topic instead of "clicking" reply and going to another new page
a new Button added near "quote" saying : "Multi quote" , when you click it the quote of that person gets added to the Quick Reply box and you get do it with several people .
Let me know what do you think about this guys and sorry if I didn't explain it as should be .

You can easily quote and reply to each posts fastly, if you have enabled 'Quick-Reply'. You can also do this if you haven't enabled this, in a normal way, by clicking 'Insert Quote'. Edit : When I read your post again, I think you don't know about 'Quick-Reply' box! it is possible to change username. but i think only Moderators
or staff can do that , because i have see a user change his username
Anyway, I do see @Bitcoininformation have changed his name into @Mitchełł, and, as you see, they can use special character in their display name.
Staffs can change their display name but not their username. Not only staffs, all others can also use special characters AFAIK. ~~MZ~~ |
