Verified to 'you', right? How else could you verify multiple accounts with one identity?

I believe pedrog is offering their service to US people also, maybe they should advertise in your thread.

If you want another wording, I'll buy the entire portfolio, but it will be paid with the dividends and at a price decide in the future based on the selling price of the shares!

Good enough?

Lohoris, are you in the informatics field?

Programmer, sysadmin, webmaster?

What is your background?
Marketing, obviously.

I'm a programmer, actually.

Well, then you should know better than good layout = security...

People come on, he's not saying pretty layout = security, he is just saying he trusts more a site with a professional layout because who spends time, money and efforts for security, probably he would be dumb if doesn't pay a bit more to hire someone for a nice looking site. On the other hand if your site looks bad, you could be a random guy who built up a site to gain some easy profit.

You can agree or not (I personally don't, for the most part), but he is not comparing security to fancy look, stop repeating it

Yes, I get it, but that argument goes both ways, he could have spent his entire budget on security and features and it didn't remain enough for a decent design...

But, anyway, usually geeks and nerds don't have a good taste for design, just look at Bitcoin-QT. Cheesy
5570  Other / Politics & Society / Re: NSA OK'd to Keep Collecting Phone Records (AGAIN SIGNED BY OBAMA) on: October 14, 2013, 02:16:58 AM

The problem is: nobody cares!

Plus, two-party democracies we see in many countries are just bullshit, two choices do not represent the entire population they keep making mistakes after mistakes and people keep alternating voting between those two parties, and shit keeps always the same...

It's not that they are making mistakes, it's that central planning does not work.  It has the illusion of working for awhile but in reality debts and distortions just keep building in the system.  The US is going the way of the Soviet Union at some point but who knows when that will be.  It could easily be more than a decade away or it could be in the next few years.  No-one knows.  Some of us just hope an anarchic libertarian philosophy will eventually come after that if enough people can be introduced to the ideas.

As for nobody cares.  The smart people realise that the system doesn't work and prepare accordingly.  They've done the research, read about economics, etc.  The sheep still think it does work and keep blind faith in the leaders.  The only question is, which group are you in?

Just a matter of words, I call it mistakes, but it's just how the system works I guess, what you referred as central planning...

The US is a good example of a two-parties democracy, but we can see that all over the world, the ancient the democracy is , the more only two-parties it gets, each one blaming the previous one for the mistakes and the cycle goes on.

Sorry, I have no sympathy for anarchic libertarian philosophy, it's just an utopia.

And you're right, it's all sheeps out there, this Wikileaks/Snowden/NSA revelations serious stuff, nobody cares, as long as people can have their cable TV and post their entire lives on Facebook, it's all fine.
5571  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which operating system(s) do you use? on: October 14, 2013, 02:02:57 AM
I've used some linux (ubuntu) , Microsoft (XP, Vista, but mostly 7 pro), I want to learn how to use UNIX systems because they seem to be used a lot by gov. people. What is UNIX about UNIX (horrible pun, I'm aware)?

No, it is not a lot by governments, Microsoft gets special deals with governments to push Windows into every box used in government computers all around the world, they go in, invest a couple million in some bullshit to program to teach kids or elderly people using computers and then the got a 70 million, 10 years contract for nearly every machine used in government's computers.

Shit world, I know...

Anyway, I need the lightest distro/configuration you guys can suggest, easy to maintain and updated software, currently running debian jessie, LXDE, very few services, zram, kernel 3.2.0, noatime, preload and all that shit, what can I do more to improve performance even more?

Openbox + tint2? Or some other taskbar? Linux Mint Debian?

pankkake, Dabs, can I had you two in my topic?

@pedrog, can you rephrase or retype your question, I don't understand it. Thanks.

Can I add to my topic that you are also offering this kind of option?

5573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin blockchain data torrent on: October 14, 2013, 01:38:43 AM
For some reason I can't get this to work.
Can someone kind explain the steps I need to take from that I download the file to that I import the block into the wallet?
So far it doesn't seem to recognize the file until I shut the wallet off and then I get an error message.
//DeaDTerra

Well, I've made a symlink at .bitcoin directory to bootstrap.dat, but you can just paste the file into your bitcoin config files directory.

If linux: ~/.bitcoin

Edit: Check here: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Data_directory
Where do I want to paste it,
The database directory?

Nop, paste it in the main directory, then start Bitcoin-QT it should detect the file and start importing.

Nope, copy the bootstrap.dat file into the Bitcoin database directory, the same directory that contains your wallet.dat file. When you restart Bitcoin-qt, it will import all blocks from the bootstrap.dat that weren't previously downloaded.

Well, that's the main directory:

$ ls .bitcoin/
blocks  chainstate  database  db.log  debug.log  peers.dat  wallet.dat

Lets say that ActivingMining ends up not selling as many units as one would like.  Couldn't Actm just use those unsold units to mine?  It seems like a focus on selling units is short sighted if you actually trust that Actm will produce units that will exceed ROI.

They take pre-orders, there is no such thing as unsold units.

Viriat0
