Elon Musk is selling his two houses (worth about $40 mil in total) and saying, ostensibly, that he would have "no possessions" because:

1. he thinks that we are at a RE top
2. he became a "revolutionary" [after mouthing off something something about "fascists"]
3. he is moving to China
4. he is selling TSLA to some Middle Eastern sheiks and would move there (Dubai?)
5. he is moving to Mars
6. he merged with AI and is about to control us all
7. he is having a midlife crisis
8. he is using RE sales to fund his BTC purchases.

What's it going to be? Please come up with %% of probability if you like.
He did tweet out "TSLA stock is a bit too high" in his opinion and it suddenly dropped. Then right after said he was selling his house(s).
I think being in pandemia for a month he got bored and wanted to screw around with stock holders for a bit.

https://youtu.be/CrHNHhix0Ig
Maybe he'll get back to being CEO of Dogecoin if he was trolling all his twitter followers to tank the companies stock.
Then we can really start to have some fun in the next 6 days. Grin

Well that is one way to the Weebs attention to buy BTC  Grin
So is this but then instantly losing it to this scam channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpEorT1pJf0  Angry
Cant believe there are 40,000 people watching this blatant scam job using him as a pawn "donating" to this channel in hopes of getting BTC back.
Disgraceful and this is the specific reason why youtube is against cryptocurrency youtubers as a whole and banning their accounts.
Everyone should hit the report button on the above channel to get it taken down as it is running on going for two hours as of now.

Simple (and possibly really "noob") question about exchanges:

I’m sorry .... I was one short to hero your ass
Thanks man!

Wow, soon to have 5 coins in my badge!

Hope we reach the same amount of digits very soon!
It's nice to see that the constant hats on the thread go up in rank.
Congrats! AlcoHoDL
When I noticed he turned into a hero member, I instantly started him off on his lonnnng rooooad to the next one with giving him my last smerit. Grin
Congrats to you AlcoH0DL! Wink
5562  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: LIGHTNING NETWORK - what is happening, dead, stagnant? on: May 05, 2020, 02:26:10 PM

Miners get fees for Txs that occur on the main blockchain. If those transactions occur on L2 networks, they no longer get those fees.
Are we able to confirm all the tx with the limit of 1 MB block size? For getting confirmed on next block, sometimes the fee increased to $10 even, is not it too high? On chain tx requires longer time and higher fee while LN gives instant confirmation with lower fee.

It is the life long debate: Faster transaction times vs. Cost of sending those transactions.
Fiat money transmitters had this tug a war and the cost of providing a faster way of doing it won out. Thats why it costs $100 to send $1500 overseas using western union.
Now its come into play with bitcoin and whether to use the lightning network.
The fee to send only $100 worth in bitcoin increased from $0.26 to $2.60 in but a week.

So it really is up to the sender which one they cherish more: Having a faster transaction or saving on the those fees. Undecided

I really like the 5700s but 90% of my gpus are 3 years old.  It would be nice if performance was twice as fast as the 5700s, but I would want to see how they preform on other algos.  Eth is great but for a large investment I would need more then one algo.
It is funny you say 5700s as you own one correct? After seeing others doing the xt bios modification.
I just noticed even though you are able to bios mod the 5700 cards to xt clocks it does not affect the hashrates at all. Undecided

I have 18 rx 5700s and 5700s XTs and haven't tried bios modding any of them.  I think you can get a little more hash rate but I don't want the possibility of unstable rigs.  i'm getting 51-52 MH/s around 110 -120 watts and they can get 1.1h/s on G31.

I was checking the hashrates on the rx 5700 (non-bios modded to xt) and they can get 52 mh/s. But since the 5700 xt draws more power they should get higher. Can you confirm how much of a difference in hash rates you get with the 5700 cards (since I am assuming they are all the same brand and the same memory manufactuer) versus the 5700 xt?
Which brand do you have of the 5700xt card? As I mentioned in the first post the sapphire 5700xt special editions have power boosted clocks.

any idea if there is any way to increase sportsbetting limits ? I'm not asking for thousands of dollars only something like 100$ a bet
trying to bet the big csgo matches like ESLRoad to Rio and the majority of the times the site isn't even allowing me to bet 2 mbtc
You can ask live support to speak to the sports book managers. There are two of them one is dusan and the other is darko. They are in the chat at times. They will direct you, if they can not up your limits for these matches, to the right person.
I noticed this too after winning a bet on cs go of over 1eth but I was able to max bet over 3eth on that bet. But when I made a similar bet after this one with the same odds available it only allowed me to max bet at 0.0016eth. Cheesy
5568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tone Vays channel deleted from youtube on: May 04, 2020, 05:51:16 PM
I have seen this on twitter, his account was banned because he might violate some rules of youtube, that is the only thing I know why some accounts from youtube gets banned. I don't think why youtube keeps banning some contents about cryptocurrency while in fact it is really helpful from others just like some contents of this youtuber.
I am still hopimg that youtube will not ban some accounts from youtube having content of cryptocurrency.

The ones deleted last year got their channels back so he might just get his back too.
Hope so, because I am always watching contents of him because I find his channel so useful for me having more content about cryptocurrency.
They are not breaking any rules because they are not outright banning their channels now but doing this "shadow banning" process to all crypto youtubers now so to think the author of those videos will not notice this was happening under the radar. Embarrassed
Crypto zombie actually found this out the other day when he noticed his views suddenly dropped by a number where it was very hard to not notice what was going on.

He even discusses about this process youtube has started to impose on their users so to not get the flack from them on other media platforms such as twitter and the like. Where they can expose them of these bad business practices thinking nobody will find out by flying under the radar with this malpractice. Roll Eyes
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5aQumGnI2DY
It still goes on in videos published yesterday and today where the traffic levels are way off from previous ones before it.

wow i just saw the races for today and there is already over than 4k btc wagered for the top 10 while the first rank has 3.8k wagered which is over 33m USD wagered
https://i.imgur.com/YGmXfbU.png
I'm very rare checking the race's leaderboard but so shocked to see someone is able to wager that much (more than 3800btc) in just some hours. He/she must be so rich person, Stake must be so lucky site to have such huge whale playing on the site. I have never seen it on other sites. Starting to imagine if this player is one of my referrals lol, anyone who have this kind of player as their referral must have earned decent amount referral commission.
This particular user has been wagering these amounts and more through out the entire week. They did 4500btc the first day then 8500btc the following one for total amount wagered per race. It was even mentioned during the megarace stream by the owner and they are in profit on the site so these amounts are not much a concern to them.
They managed to reach platinum IV within a week. Which that in itself is quite the accomplishment. They are at diamond level 4 which I didnt even know was a level within that tier but they unlocked it within just 9 days of wagering the amounts they have been by following the amounts of each 24 hour race results with them being in 1st place during this duration.

There was a rather big win on slots just 20 minutes ago which was posted by the user on the sports chat so grabbed the screen really quick before it disappeared:

I thought the scatters paid the most having five of them resulting in 1000x but now I see this one line with a pharaoh does. Cool

nevermind. Roll Eyes

Somebody won a rather huge wagered bet on a single selection of a set in a table tennis match a few hour ago.

Will not name whom I respect their privacy when they posted this to public chat earlier today.
But with ethereum price and all cryptocurrencies for that matter rising up overnight never thought would see a bet like this one.
They must of had their limits raised up or never wagered on this sort of selection for a match before.
Because how would they allow settlement for a 29eth wager to be able to win 73.95eth on a sole selection and not even the entire game?

Probably fake Slip to hype up the site.

Garbage website. Horrible VIP hosts.
Now how on earth would it be a fake slip when anyone can verify it themselves with the bet id? Roll Eyes
Just like this one from the same user as that one did today but on darts. Type in this on stake chat and it will bring you up their bet slip: sport:1254490

I dont know why you are all the sudden saying these sort of things about them when just a few months ago you were praising them and their sportsbook. Wink
I've played at a lot of sports book and I can tell you, this one goes above and beyond to help it's bettors. Despite it being new, they have an amazing bonus system in place. Eddie the owner is a genuine guy and he cares about everyone individually, whether you bet 1$ or 10000$. Everyone should give stake a try. Instant deposits, laser fast withdrawals. I became VIP Platinum in just over a month and have been treated fairly.

Red red red.

The halving is of course important, but I'm not convinced it's that important in the long run. Most BTC has been mined already, the price can't depend that much on mining.

How many bitcoins are mined per day now? Around 1800? So roughly $15-$16 million in BTC to dump every day not bad huh?  Cool

If being so concerned about how much is mined per day then might I suggest a docu about crypto I stumbled upon last week?

5576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sport betting site offering bets on the Covid-19 pandemic. Worst site now. on: May 01, 2020, 01:01:19 AM
It's sad! I searched online for Sports betting sites that have been dedicated to betting related to Covid19. In Russia Betcity and PariMatch and Singapore also as the following articles point out.
I think these gaming sites have exceeded the tolerance limit they could have found something different than gambling I think they have been cruel.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-8161033/Online-gambling-sites-begin-taking-bets-coronavirus-spread.html

https://www.tnp.sg/news/singapore/illegal-gambling-sites-tout-bets-number-covid-19-cases-here
Yeah some betting sites are unethical and the one I was talking about is probably listed on one of those sites. I am not going to check since I dont have the stomach for it and most sane people I imagine would not either.
With betcity taking bets on this crisis being a russian site, isnt it strange their prime minister had been tested positive having the virus today?
How corona karma works in mysterious ways and usually will get those who play around with human lives one way or another. Angry

Just finished the whole series yesterday and now question humanity.
Over the weekend I re-watched season 1 of the Anna Nicole Smith show. Two thoughts:

1) It is the most honest, truthful, and authentic thing I have seen on TV.
2) She is fucking huge. God I'd love a woman like that.

By Season 2 she had caught onto the cameras, but in season 1 they had no idea what they were doing. Pure magic.
Next series to queue up on the netflix box over the weekend after the ozarks. Wink
I am starting to get into these #failuresofsociety themed series. Thanks.

I haven't watched the show yet but I lived in that part of Florida. I remember the Tiger reserve (passed it on the way to work).

Having lived there...ya...nothing would surprise me about the people there. I think it is partly yankee rejects from New Jersey (and Michigan) coming down thinking they're smarter than the locals, partly the prevalence of oxy prescription mills, partly people thinking "spring break was so fun, I should move here!" and then they actually do...then have no idea what to do after that.

I got out alive...

Speaking of rejects from Michigan....

https://nypost.com/2020/04/30/armed-demonstrators-storm-michigan-state-house-over-stay-at-home-order/

Quote
Hundreds of angry demonstrators, some of them armed with rifles, stormed Michigan’s State House on Thursday to protest stay-at-home orders — terrifying lawmakers who wore bulletproof vests to protect themselves.

The protesters forced their way into the Capitol in Lansing to urge Michigan officials to end a state of emergency as the Wolverine State continues to battle one of the worst COVID-19 outbreaks in the country.

Thursday’s event reached a terrifying climax when Capitol police were forced to protect lawmakers as protesters tried to storm their way into the chamber, the Detroit Free Press reported.

In one frightening scene, several men armed with rifles made their way into the public gallery and began shouting at senators on the floor beneath them, according to an account by one lawmaker.
