5561  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Investments on: May 20, 2016, 04:24:16 AM
Has anyone tried to invest in Satoshi dice or another dice site like that?

I like the idea to invest in a dice site and become the house.

You only lose %1 or smth from your investment if the player wins his/her bet. While it is near impossible to clear out the house i think i may give it a try.

can you tell me how to invest in dice site? i like this idea too. and can you tell me what is profit %? and list of dice sites or other gambling sites where i can make investment.

thanks a lot

For example, you can invest in sites like Betking.io and Just-dice.com.

It is basically gambling, but with a negative house edge. The sites are pretty trusted, but there is still risks involved. Be prepared to be in for the long term, because in the short term there might be a lucky whale that wins thousands of dollars.

There is no guaranteed profit, so make sure you can afford to invest.
Gambling and investing are all the same, it involves risk and we know that if the risk is high the reward is also high. Investing is better than gambling alone, by investing we can maximize our investment even in a short period of time, but we just need to be responsible evaluating the available sites online and invest only on the trusted one.

that is so wrong. comparing gambling with investment is like comparing apples and oranges. gambling i just a game that you pay to play and lose money with zero control over the results while investment can be made after thinking and also research to make a good profit.
5562  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I've got $20k to invest. Please recommend! on: May 20, 2016, 04:16:45 AM
10k worth of BTC and 10k worth of ETH

easy

maybe put more in bitcoin, ethereum is not that safe and surely safer with bitalik holding still so much coin

do 75 and 25 or any other combination were more than 50% is on bitcoin

i agree. investing in any altcoin is more dangerous than investing in bitcoin especially an altcoin like ethereum that is being pump and dumped so massively.

so even if you go 50% in eth you should stay very cautious to sell as fast as possible with the first sign of dump because you can wake up one morning and see eth is half the price you bought.

$20k is quite a huge amount to start with.  if there is a chance that you can buy btc at it's lowest now take the chance and keep buying even daily as long as you keep track record on the price of the btc on a certain day you bought it so you will know how many btc you can sell that has gains on it.

i agree. this is especially good these days that the bitcoin price has started to take a small dip. it makes for a good chance to buy if you haven't already done that. although you should always keep an eye on the price until the price has risen at least $100 above your buy price (like me that bought at $200) after that you can sit back and enjoy the rise.
5563  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin worth to you or not... on: May 20, 2016, 04:13:31 AM
Ufcourse bitcoin is worth a lot to me... Cuz it is rad and micropayments are rad. I mean every altcoins are rad, granted they grow like btc.

Bitcoin has help quite a lot for me when its comes with my dealings in online transactions; when I don’t have enough fiat I just ask my client if they would prefer bitcoin; and I’ve got out of some really sticky situations that way.

The main reason that people is buying some Bitcoin is that you have to know that it will be the most important to make profit with Bitcoin and it is not that easy to earn profit.
Because it can really takes a long time until the value will be more worth so we need the patience for it.
The standard basis of saying bitcoin is worth to us or not is not just about profit, I even have no profit in bitcoin overall but I would say it is worth to me. Why? with bitcoin, it enables me to gamble regularly at any site I would like, with that it brings me enjoyment in my life so that alone is already a value for me.

profit means more fiat, and that means you don't really care about bitcoin and it is not important to you. the important thing for you will be fiat.
when you say bitcoin worth, it means you care about bitcoin as a currency and want to use it instead and not run back to fiat by selling bitcoin.
5564  Economy / Speculation / Re: Getting closer to Halving but .. no increase ? on: May 20, 2016, 04:10:44 AM
For now there's no increase and its decreased $20 according to preev price.. and i think more people are now converting into eth.. because the price is increased due to fear about price of bitcoin after block halving..

yeah, i have the same theory too but i don't know how true is this theory of mine. it is just like before when the eth price went into the first bubble and attracted a lot of attention due to the hype, the price of bitcoin went down a little because of that and was back up after the eth bubble bursted and now there is the same thing happening again
5565  Economy / Economics / Re: I have 12 BTC in my Account, How should I invest this?? on: May 20, 2016, 04:03:25 AM
options that you have:
* hold it until after the halving
* start trading bitcoin/usd or bitcoin/altcoin
* invest in casino bankroll
* give loans here or on btcjam
* search the forum for where to invest Cheesy
*** research before you invest

DONT PANIC!!! EVERYONE STOP SELLING!!!

you say this and all i hear is

RED ALERT!!! EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF!!!

it has always been "every man for himself". in my opinion any person that makes decision based on what he reads on the forum or any other social media is a fool.

don't get me wrong, i am a holder and will not sell but i say topics like don't sell or sell now they are both useless either way and panic traders will do what they do no matter what these topics say Cheesy
5567  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to teach someone about Bitcoin on: May 20, 2016, 03:57:08 AM
GIVE HIM 1BTC THEN INTRODUCE HIM HOW TO USE IT Roll Eyes
Lol. Who will give bro. In my opinion, we need as Bitcoin's community to teach people about this powerful crypto currency and advertise , spread the word about it, that's a kind of help and support of this currency. In addition a lot of people still don't know anything about it till now

actually that is a good advice but with unreal amount.
best way of teaching others about bitcoin and getting them to use it, is to give them a small amount so they can start with.
exactly like the beginning when they were giving away 5BTC at a time to anybody who wanted just to test the network.
the today's equivalent of that 5BTC is 0.01BTC
5568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UK Banks Refused 6 Million Citizens Accounts, Bitcoin Doesn’t Refuse Anyone on: May 20, 2016, 03:52:33 AM
this was just a misleading article, i am getting used to these types of news and i don't think too much about them anymore. there is no bank in the world that will reject people to invest (deposit) in their bank. just like bitcoin.
this article is like saying bitcoin rejected me when i asked for a loan on bitcointalk!

You are right . this is really unbelievable. how banks can reject that much costumers. banks are looking for more costumers. I think it is a probably fake news.. but still this is also true that bitcoin won't reject anyone. no matter if he is kid or adult.

it is not a fake news. franky1 gave an explanation about this which i think is true (they deny special accounts). this is just how these news sites work, the title of the news will create some thoughts in your mind which are not true when you think about them or read the article and that is how they intrigue people to click on their news site and get traffic.
5569  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are floppy disks safe to store wallets? on: May 20, 2016, 03:49:31 AM
Why not store the wallet into your thumbdrive, and burn a copy to CD-Rs, and keep them in a dry box?

all of them are good but also all of them are not permanent and the data on them can be corrupted. even CDs won't work after a couple of years and lose their data.
you have to save your wallet in multiple places and remember to check it with 6 month to 1 year intervals and renew them if necessary.

5572  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exchange best for you on: May 19, 2016, 05:51:49 AM
new bittrex addition that obscure your setting when you sell or buy soemthing, with that shitty windows in green and blue popping out, is terrible, but other than that is my favorite exchange for altcoin

for bitcoin i prefer kraken

what does the first part mean? i have never encountered this.

also as for the green and blue windows which are most like a box telling you about the filled orders and set orders can be moved around in your setting and you can change it easily. hope it helps.
5573  Economy / Speculation / Re: In 3 years from now how much 1 BTC worth ? on: May 19, 2016, 05:47:38 AM
this year the price of bitcoin will go to the moon for sure and that will cause a lot of publicity and everybody will be talking about bitcoin just like the last time, but this time it will be so much bigger.

and this will be the ground floor of the following years so the price will be at least above $2000
5574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest problem with Bitcoin on: May 19, 2016, 05:42:55 AM
The biggest problem I have with Bitcoin is when the price is not moving. When this happens Bitcoin is just to boring and nothing is happening. The option to make money at that moment is just not possible.
That's because bitcoin is currency, not stocks or gold which always rising Roll Eyes
Also, a currency needs to be stable, so everyone can use it without worry.
yes I think this is a common thing in the currency. but may also have a big problem if bitcoin prices stable for too long at a very low price.

No it's bad if a currency is a stable. It's better to have some pretty fluctuations because it can boost economical growth of a one country. And besides if we are to talk in bitcoin, with this price fluctuation we can able to make profits rather than keeping it as a stable one.

i agree but the stability means small changes and not huge rises and falls like going up to $1000 in a month and come back to $500 and so on. if this huge volatility stops then bitcoin can become more of a currency rather than just an investment.
5575  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice down? Error 523.... on: May 19, 2016, 05:31:48 AM
they changed their systems and moved to another hosting service recently and from that day there have been some issues with the site until now.
the good news is there were all temporary and gotten fixed soon. i just hope they fix all these problems one and for all.

and this particular problem is with cloudflare.
5576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is gambling fix your life? or wreck your life? on: May 19, 2016, 05:26:23 AM
I always play small bets sometimes win and other times loose.Overall it has no effect on my life as this is pure based on fun.I have seen many people whose life was wrecked there are hundred of examples.Gambling and fixing life are two contrary things in my opinion.
Small bet does not affect the life, but that can destroy life is when we do bet on a large scale and defeat.
Everything starts from something small, it is not affect in the beginning but it can be a seed to become something dangerous as time goes by.

don't underestimate on small bet , I believe no matter small or big it is same dangerous.

by small bets he means the amount of bitcoin he is betting with like 0.001BTC or even lower to 1 satoshi in dice sites.
and i have to disagree with you because it is so much better to bet with a small amount and take risks on what you can afford to lose rather than making a big bet and losing a lot of money.
5577  Economy / Gambling / Re: List of trustworthy gambling sites on: May 19, 2016, 05:24:10 AM
you missed the crypto-games.net they have dice too and the good thing about them is the ability to bet with altcoins there. but it seems like they are not that much popular!
5578  Economy / Economics / Re: WILL BITCOIN BE USED BY ALMOST EVERYONE IN 2022? on: May 19, 2016, 05:13:54 AM
i believe bitcoin will be used by a lot of people in a just a couple of years but this a lot of people is not going to be "almost everyone". but it will be a great number of people that can even push the price over the $5000 price.
5579  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best way to spend Bitcoin? Newbie's opinion. on: May 19, 2016, 05:10:21 AM
two of the best ways of spending bitcoin these days (at least for me it is the best ways) are spending it in steam for buying games and stuff like that and also paying for hosting and domain with bitcoin.
5580  Economy / Speculation / Re: Poll: Bitcoin Halving. Will Price go up or price go down? on: May 19, 2016, 05:07:20 AM
it think it would be possible that the price stays in the same range as it is now from $450 to $500 and become stable for a month even after the halving and after this period which will be accompanied by shakeouts of weak hands then the big rise comes.
