5561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Marketing for ICO and IEO on: November 15, 2019, 08:04:13 AM
You were right, IEO's can’t fool people forever, the moment has come when everyone is already avoiding such sales because understand that the time when you could make money on it has long passed and IEO has sunk into oblivion.
OP was looking for marketing options for IEO and ICO. I believe that is a more risk free thing to do but at the cost of your own reputation. There are some members of this forum who are working as community managers. They promote projects to mass media and get a userbase going to attract investors. But rarely few of those projects actually develop something worth value.

So for them it is possible to get a upfront payment, promote it till the project fails then then leave it. They got paid unlike bounty hunters who will cry of scam. Wink
5562  Economy / Economics / Re: BEEN IN THIS GAME FOR 6 YEARS on: November 14, 2019, 07:07:57 AM
Yeah! Those who were not with bitcoin during its dumps, they were not able to devise market strategies to take benefits of massive increase in the value of bitcoin.
This is the case with people who are willing to get rich quick. They try buying without reading the charts, buying at the all time high. Eventually the price drops and they think it was all a scam, leaving no time to look into what bitcoin is or its use or its charts of price rise and fall.

Quote
They were unaware of the volatile nature of bitcoin so when it started going down, such people did panic selling which ultimately resulted into losses.
Yes, and this is going to continue because some idiots are always there even if you teach to preach the better methods of trading with analysis.

The whole "bitcoin can make us rich" hype is false context. It can make you rich but it it will not be overnight or permanent. You can cash in or cash out when the prices move sideways.
5563  Economy / Lending / Re: How way Collect loan Newbie Forum account on: November 14, 2019, 07:02:03 AM
People come on a bitcoin forum and are sent to the banks by the members.
At least banks have the ability to allow debt collecting agencies to keep track of you and beat you up and extort the money if (<make that "When") you default.

Quote
Another proof the real guys have left and we are only left with trash.
Your personal opinion is a subjective on. It is not a proof. Even the "older" lenders get scammed by people like you.

Quote
For the topic owner, just ask for a value and hope. Hope is the last resort, maybe someone is going to help you. There is no rule in the world, just avoid those guys criticizing you and you will be fine.
I wonder how much "connection" you have with the OP. Both are looking for loans and both are butthurt for not getting one to pay for their weed. Grin
5564  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion to reduce signature campaign spam posts on: November 13, 2019, 03:32:40 PM
Despite recent efforts to reduce signature campaign spam, it is still ubiquitous.
Like what?

Quote
How often do I read any meaningless posts in any dead threads or other completely irrelevant posts in poor quality by users wearing a advertisement in the signature.
Use the report to moderator button. It has a good use if you use it regularly. You even get a score to boast off in this forum. Wink

Quote
In my opinion, this is also due to the fact that the minimum number of posts for signature campaigns is far too high and the participants are virtually "forced" to write useless posts. Normal active users write between 3-4 posts a week, if at all. However, many signature campaigns require at least 15 or 20 posts.
Again you are putting in your personal opinion. Report he post if you feel it is irrelevant. But at times threads are created to be converted to cesspool of spam by another poster. So its not really a fault of the manager here unless they start removing participants for this.

Quote
Wouldn't it therefore be a useful measure to prohibit signature campaigns to require a minimum number of posts per week or month? Or at least a minimum number of 1 to 3 posts per week or not more than 10 a month?
This forum administration does not deal with campaign managers, as of now.

If some members are forcing themselves to post, then they wont receive much merit for them, leaving out some exceptions. That does control the spamming habits of some users.

Padlock means that thread is "locked".
5566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which betting type gives you the most payout? on: November 13, 2019, 06:14:15 AM
As long as luck is on your side, you will not have a hard time winning in sports betting, even if that parlay has a high payout.
But Vaculin, luck is never on the side of the player. You know that from the number of outcomes coming out to be winning and being known popularly. Cheesy
Rarely people win big win and jackpots. Sports is different though. You need to have a good understanding of the game, the teams and the environment where its played.

Sometimes I go against my analysis as I believe oddsmaker are smart enough to fool us through their line, that's why there's always a saying in gambling that the public always lose because the public decides based on their emotion than on their mind.
Obviously they are going to fool the player. Thats their job and how they make money. The majority bet wins in many cases but some matches will be fixed or the team will be reluctant to go beyond a draw. Specially happens in local league games of smaller countries. Wink
5567  Other / Meta / Re: Do we need at least one merit source per local board section? on: November 13, 2019, 06:06:52 AM
When the merit system was first introduced theymos made a point that local board users should appoint a merit source for their local sections.

See the ability to be able to get merits while posting in a different language encourages a few good habits:
1. More activity in the local board
2. Source of unification among members.
3. Helping out users who are lacking the knowledge of English and are shy to post in English section, fearing that they might be laughed at.
4. Allowing local board members to gradually rank up.
5. Re-enforcing the grasp of native languages of the users.
6. Allowing users to gradually become potentially translators - those who have a background of higher studies in languages.

Considering the General english sections of the forum being heavily spammed getting country specific answers is very tough.
5568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think the Bounty program is over? on: November 13, 2019, 06:00:50 AM
I don't think the Bounty program is over.
Nothing gets over like that. But the value does end with time. Bounty programs were the new advertisement campaigns of ICOs. At one time they used to pay good amount of tokens which could be sold for a good price. Thats is done for now. But the programs still exists - spamming hundreds of pages for their threads in the Altcoins Bounties section of this forum.

Quote
Of course, the ICO market has died a lot, but I think the Bounty program will continue until a new marketing plan is released.
As long as there are bottomfeeding bounty spammers who dont care about spam in this forum and only how to abuse bounties to fill their ulcerated stomachs, they will continue.

Quote
Or if there is a new marketing plan that I don't know about, please let me know.
A project can become innovative in developing a new marketing method other than just a bounty campaign. A physical meetup and coin distribution to users may be a good thing in terms of high class investors but at the risk of losing their privacy which is more important in the crypto ecosystem - this is more common in stock market trading. Just an idea to ponder over. Wink
5569  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: After a decade, Bitcoin in charts on: November 12, 2019, 11:36:48 AM
Without any doubt the biggest userbases are coming from US,AU, Russia and Europe. We see a similar distribution in the members of this forum too with Russian boards being very active along with European countries. Rest US and AU use English so they have their own share here too.

Nice way to put in the statistics though OP. These should give some logical backing as to the common FUD that bitcoin would be taken over by attacks on blockchain and government censorship. If people are willing to take it to the next level then they can - to such an extent that government would become forced to accept it in trading like stocks and commodities.
5570  Economy / Economics / Re: Where's my free money? on: November 12, 2019, 11:31:34 AM
LOL this thread is a joke at the most. MacAfee and his calls - the biggest joker in the world. If you guys take people's words and put all your trust in them when they are least credible about their words then you will suffer consequences. The OP has tried to show that here that those who put their trust in the MacAfee got sold out to the wrong news.

This is market psychology. Someone is waiting to gain from your losses. So be careful whom you trust.
5571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best gambling platform 2019? on: November 12, 2019, 06:19:11 AM
Hey guys I'm looking for a new gambling platform that I'll give me an opportunity to get small profits.
Just know this that casinos are there in a lot of numbers but they all depend on luck and the only source of getting a stable income is a job not gambling. Still read on.

Quote
Such pool or billiards and if there's a tongits card games it would be great as well.
I am yet to see any casino will pool/billiards. Maybe you can try sports betting if what you are looking for? I have seen snooker there on sportsbet. Although do follow what others have said.

Quote
But only provably fair and totally legit please
All the reputable casinos here are provably fair. Otherwise their accounts would have been given red trust by our fellow cryptography enthusiasts. Check the scam accusations section too, but be warned that fake accusations are also common here. Its a free speech forum after all.  Wink
5572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for Partner or Investor to Start IEO on: November 12, 2019, 06:14:14 AM
If your friend already has a developer and a registered company, what is stopping them from going to a bank and mortgage the business for a loan? I know the bank wont give too much value to it so you prefer to go for the less-experienced crypto enthusiasts and seek money from them.

Pretty scammy if you ask me. If you want any sort of transparency which is seriously lacking in the ICO/IEO market then go to an ICO consultancy and seek their help in getting a team and advisors for your project. But I doubt you will do that if your objective here is to scam some newbie who is is a wannabe "venture capitalist"  Cheesy
5573  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin: "Maybe Is a Partial Store of Value" on: November 12, 2019, 06:10:48 AM
They never had any arguments about why something like bitcoin should not be incredibly valuable but now they are really desperate to try to find anything they can say to try to say bitcoin will not maintain its value.
So you can see how flawed and baseless their arguments are and it does not take long for the long timers to understand what these people are trying to stir and thus become immune to such "opinions". People can opine what they want. Does not matter to you if your belief and faith are in the right place.

Quote
They tried in the past to use the stability of fiat as a sign that it was better but since then inflation is making sure we notice that stability is for nothing if our purchasing power is going down while we see the opposite process happening with bitcoin.
Stability of fiat vs bitcoin is more of a cognitive bias. You dont say any market to be stable. Every market is moving and is potentially volatile. But the newbies who are entering the market easily get swayed unless they have a background of trading and market psychology.
5574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Question about yobit's free coins on: November 12, 2019, 06:07:35 AM
Its more of a psychological impact to give free coins. You see there are many "projects" that gave out free coins to ethereum holders and they never had any value at all. So this made an impact on those who are looking to make some quick buck to pump and dump that coin, but those who didnt understand the motif ended up bagging some shitcoin which is worthless now.

Then there are projects that have used this feature for something good. INX,now renamed as Insolar, did a airdrop of a promo token which if you held would give you a discount on purchase of INX tokens in their ICO.

So you can both good and bad effects of free tokens that have been given out be it on yobit or somewhere else. You have to judge.
5575  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Technical Analysis Bullshit or Not? on: November 11, 2019, 06:33:46 AM
I think technical will greatly works only with short term trade,
It works in both depending on how you use it. For short term analyzing the older charts will also help and checking the market buy/sell trend.

Quote
because sometimes technical analysis won't work well for analysis a monthly or yearly charts because cryptocurrency price is always influenced by news and also by cryptocurrency events that held to hook new investors, so it really a fundamental based.
Thing is that fundamental and technical are both important. You analyze charts and then only go for the indicators for studies. News will make the market move but is that movement really due to the news or some whales pumping or dumping is not relate-able. This makes it difficult to predict the market at times.

Quote
But for daily trading, good technical analysis will works well.
Not always will it work though. Its more of a 50-50 chance but generally you can make a prediction based on technical.
5576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Low allocation bounty pools pays easily? on: November 11, 2019, 06:30:46 AM
A team promoting its ICO will always strive to pay for the work of the bounty hunters with their tokens. And if the amount of planned fees is less, then the payment also becomes small. Recently, I have not seen such payments of 1 million dollars to bounty hunters.
Its rare to see the teams coming good with their promises. Those days are long gone now. These days bounty hunters are happy if the tokens they get even worth 10$ when selling in total on an exchange. Even that is not achieve-able because of the low market making demand of the coin and lack of buyers.

However every participant should calculate the precedes of the fund raising before joining the project. I remember some projects having deceived their participants and then ran away with the manager in their cahoots. TokenSuite was one of those groups of scammers who have left this forum for now.
5577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many times have you gone against majority on: November 11, 2019, 06:25:36 AM
In random games, it does not really matter what a gambler is playing or who experienced he is, because the outcomes are always random. No one can really guess it and the crowd just tries to have fun.
I think you are confusing between games that have EV- outcome and those which have EV+ outcome. The former group is games like dice where you just bet on whichever side you think the dice will roll and let your luck do its work. In EV+ games a lot of skills come into play. Here the analysis of teams and players is important. Games like sports betting, poker come in this category.

So if you are going for a EV+ game then betting against the majority is not a bad thing provided your reasons are strong enough that the minority team will win.
5578  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What’s Stopping Crypto Markets from Entering the Mainstream on: November 11, 2019, 06:22:52 AM
the crypto market is too volatile, it needs stability for it to be supported by many
this is just my own opinion
Volatility exists in every market. No market is free of it - there are methods to adjust prices on the basis of upswing or downswing of price and thats what the gold marketplaces do when people buy from them. You dont see people buying jewellery on a certain day or on a certain hour. They are active all day during business hours and they are not running out of options.

Where the problem lies is the governments methods to prevent crypto transactions. Prohibition of using crypto and banning people from accessing sites. Then you have law enforcement tracking down people. These things are a big obstacle to the growth.

A good example of the low level of IQ and serious incompetence in creating flags. As expected from scammers living in their basement. Roll Eyes
5580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: bounty is still potential on: November 10, 2019, 06:33:38 AM
If the ICO project is valid and worthy to make our investment such project's ICO are good to pur our investment. Then we people need to check the worth of bounty by analysing the team details and white paper.
The problem lies in the outcome of the project. They may be a top class team behind projects which had been successful previously and they are now advising a new project. But what this project will lead to is more of a gamble at these market conditions. The bear market is a test for any startup in raising money and being able to pay its employees let along pay bounty hunters - they are regarded nothing more than a bunch of sweepers cleaning up their dirt.

You end up with a pile of tokens for doing some articles, translations but end of the day its going to be worthless by the time you sell. So whats the point in doing these bounties?
