5561  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is Trending on China on: February 10, 2020, 08:02:49 PM
My opinion is that it doesn’t matter if China likes bitcoin or not. They’ve supposedly banned it numerous times already & the price always recovers.

In conclusion, China either becomes bitcoin friendly in time or gets left behind. Bitcoin will be the biggest wealth transfer we’ve seen soon, it’s a store of value & a great payment tool.

Move with the times or get left behind, your move China!
This is apt! You just took the word out of my mouth. For all I care, China made a grave mistake in 2017 when she banned Bitcoin. The Chinese will soon regret that action by its political leaders. China either keys into the rave of the moment or miss out. It's their choice to make. Oh! It could be its government is looking the way of Bitcoin (rather than the Yuan which it strongly tries to protect) as a safe Haven because  of the Coronavirus outbreak.
5562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP Price to $14 - Any thoughts? on: February 10, 2020, 04:27:20 PM
In the next bull run, Do you also believe that XRP will reach this high or do you think that this is impossible?
Are you one of those crypto investors that dislike XRP because it is centralized and most prefered to invest in other cryptos like bitcoin and ethereum?

As the article said:
"It is believed that crypto investors dislike XRP because it is arguably more centralized than Bitcoin or Ethereum."

Source: XRP Price Could Reach $14 Breaking Out from Two-Year Bear Market
The problem with XRP isn't that it is centralized, it's because it has a gargantuan supply. Coins with huge supply always have that issue of fast price movement. What makes impact in price is scarcity. Despite the constant demand for XRP, the supply hasn't allowed it to be scarce for once. Well, on $14 projection I think it will be a tough one to get to.
5563  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price: $ 12,000 is no longer out of reach on: February 10, 2020, 03:38:54 PM
In the past few hours, although the gaining momentum has temporarily halted at the threshold of 9,700 USD, recent signals that a breakout above 10,000 USD is quite likely to happen.

As cryptocurrency analyst Eric Hoka tweeted that “given some technical signals and the halving event of bitcoin is approaching, I believe bitcoin will soon retest the $ 10,000 mark this month, even $ 15,000. It must be hard when halving is near. ”

The price of bitcoin over the past 24 hours has ranged from a low of $ 9,714 to $ 9,872. Bitcoin's market capitalization is recorded at $ 176 billion, accounting for 64.3% of the total market value.

Do you think Bitcoin price can reach $ 12,000 this February?
Despite the fact that this industry is a very speculative one, I can confidently say that 2020 is going to be a very good year for Bitcoin considering the halving coming up in May or so. We have already seen $10,000, though RS hasn't been broken yet. $12k is within reach once $10k is breached. Bitcoin has the history of doing even over $3k in a day's spike.
5564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone still earning with bounties? on: February 10, 2020, 09:16:49 AM
Hi,

I didn't get any valuable tokens for several months in bounties (even the promised tokens without any value) .

Are you still earning money with them or just a few bucks (which is not worth to bother)?

In 2017 and 2018, it was so profitable. Now, what is the situation?

Should I start again?
Even in 2017, there were a lot of worthless projects too that either paid with shitcoins or didn't pay at all. I had one -Viox - which scammed bounty hunters and that was in 2017. I guess it was a matter of luck too, even as it is now. Some hunters are also getting lucky with the type of projects they key in while others aren't that lucky. It's a two eau thing. However, I think the moment for market surge is almost here and dome of these penny projects should be able to give nice profits.
5565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Binance beat Ethereum on: February 09, 2020, 05:27:46 PM
I must say, I loved your write up as it was direct and very interesting to read. You earned a merit from me. BNB is a token and will already be a token since it's utility ends on the Binance exchange while as ethereum is a force of its own that have shaped cryptocurrency industry into what it's today. Without ethereum, Binance won't have even been born since it's due to ethereum developing a crowdfunding smart contract that Binance was able to raise fund to build the exchange dominating the industry today. Ethereum will always have more utility purpose than Binance coin therefore it shouldn't be disrespected with this kind of comparison.
Your submission aptly captured my thought, except for the last paragraph which I expunged. Beyond all that we shouldn't take away anything away from the ingenuity of the Binance team and how fast they were able to turn a less than 15cent coin into an ATH of over $40 in less than 3years. BNB will continue to soar in price but it will be a tall order to expect it to shake off ETH on the list.
5566  Economy / Services / Re: ⬛Brainboss Signature Management Services⬛ on: February 09, 2020, 04:24:09 PM
Wow! Great to read this that you're now a CM. I believe you will do a justifiable and great work managing the 777coin and Bitvest campaigns. Kudos man! The sky is just your starting point.
5567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To All Bounty hunters on: February 09, 2020, 03:30:59 AM
It takes more than courage to hold on to your coins you earned from bounties because I myself learnt the hard way, I hold a coin that was worth 200$ and in my own eye it goes down to 10$, the best strategy is selling off the coins and buying bigger coins like BTC or ETH
I think it should be "selling off as it soars in price and then rebuying when price crashes" Although you should only do this with nice projects that have use-case, and not some piece of shitcoins.

OP, did you mention Tokoin as a nice project to hold into? Well, I dont think so!
5568  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Crypto Marketet Is Dumping Drastically !! on: February 08, 2020, 07:49:22 PM
Well, what do you expect? Anything speculative always isn't progressive (as in, it doesn't continue on a steady rise) because it is based on subjective reasoning and decision. Crypto business is highly subjective and speculative. This is why it fluctuates. That the market is down today doesn't mean it will remain down for a couple more days. I expect to see the ATH market cap repeated soon, even as we expect Bitcoin halving eagerly.
5569  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bull and bear market. on: February 08, 2020, 05:31:27 AM
There is a bull and bear market. In which market is it hypothetically possible to make more money? In which of these two markets do people usually make a profit? And how to determine the beginning and end of one of the markets?
In the past it used to be one way and that was the bull market until the tether instrument was introduced. Now, traders can sell off their Bitcoin and hand it on tether/any US pairs without having to withdraw and convert to Fiat. This is very helpful I must say. However, the ability to detect the right time to enter or exit the market depends on the expertise of the trader. Money is always made and lost in the market all the time.
5570  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi's IP address found on: February 07, 2020, 04:34:43 PM
The truth remains that whoever is behind the Satoshi phenomenon is a tech wizard and had coded himself not to be discovered. For me, I don't even see any relevance it will be discovering that identity at this time. The entire Bitcoin community has adjusted well without knowing the person behind Bitcoin. So, I don't see the need we should bother ourselves with that now. Let's keep moving instead of trying to rock the boat.
5571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: About Privacy Coins on: February 07, 2020, 02:51:18 PM
You should be aware that few exchanges are delisting privacy coins? Yep its really happening which is one reason I find it hard to hold XMR and others but still I have Apollo currency and dash sleeping in my wallet,I don't know how the future will turn out to be for privacy coins
Uncertainty is sadly one of the reasons some of the early adopters of Bitcoin couldn't hold on to their shares and sold off that early, though in regret now. Uncertainty is a core of the crypto industry. As far as I am concerned, crypto business is a highly unmitigated industry at the moment. It's a risk thing. BTW, is there any business that isn't risky?
5572  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN HALVING 2020 on: February 06, 2020, 08:16:51 AM
Despite all the wishful thinking, there is no correlation between the halvings and the price.
Of course, there is a correlation between them. It was the halving in 2016 that gave is the Bitcoin ATH in 2017. I guess the halving in 2020 will give us another wonder in 2021 ATH. However, I think the mining reward per block will be 6.3, and not 6.5.
5573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Final Hunt for the Real Satoshi Nakamoto - Hoffman Investigation on: February 02, 2020, 08:53:44 PM
What is the out come of your Investigation ?
Have you really found Satoshi Nakamoto ?
We do not want another Faketoshi.
Please be mindful about it.
Of course we have seen how it all ended - the OP just wanted his 5minutes of fame.

No, he is not anyone out there in the Bitcoin community.

He is here on bitcointalk.org

It is not important to know who he is.
It keeps ringing in my head that Satoshi could be Theymos. Besides, I don't think anyone hodling a staunch of almost a million units of an expensive asset as BTC will want to reveal himself anymore. Let's move on.
5574  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: How to Protect Your Crypto Wallet if Someone Searches Your Phone? on: February 01, 2020, 06:01:20 PM
What country does have a law like that? I'm not aware such law exists if any. AFAIK, phones can only just be held by the authorities if that is subject to investigation e.g suspected of being used as a tool associated with a crime, consider as strong proof of evidence, etc. or something along those lines.
I think such scenario is rampart with countries in Africa or such that are governed by tyrants and dictators. In a sane society, such arbitrariness isn't tolerated except where national security is threatened. However, the OP can find a way of putting pin lock or password to apps he has on phone. For instance, the Bitcoin blockchain  for BTC has a provision for pin code. Blockfolio has too. Imtoken has also, and so many other apps do have them.
5575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this Right Time to buy Some ALT coins? on: February 01, 2020, 05:25:11 PM
Surely an approximate time for altcoins with prospect but not shitcoins. Shitcoins don't have approximate time because they are merely pump for dump purpose.
Therefore, altcoins like litecoin is likely to be a good buy now. It is yet to make a huge move and nothing will stop that from happening as soon as bitcoin is good to bull.
The truth remains that even the shitcoins are only known from hindsight and not while the event is still current. By the way, how do we even define shitcoins? Is it by price level or what? I have done Walton that I bought at ATH but today Walton is barely up to 80cent. This was a coin I believed was solid but what has become of it today? Do we regard WTC as a shitcoin then? Besides, those who keep asking same pattern of question as the OP are actually never ready to invest. They're merely trolling.
5576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [VIDEO]The Empirical Proof of Bitcoin's Real Value Being Zero on: January 31, 2020, 10:26:47 PM
The linked 5-minute video provides a simple and undeniable proof that the real value of Bitcoin is zero. It does that by showing that Bitcoin lacks the fundamental feature for which all financial instruments exist in the first place, and that is to provide payment to their holders.

https://youtu.be/WSYTXmxPveY
I bet this is another FUD technique from one of the whales or financial institutions wanting Bitcoin price to crash for their selfish target. Well, such a device mechanism won't work now because the people are already hooked on Bitcoin. You can try this trash with the altcoins, I might work. But certainly not with Bitcoin. We move.
5577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All Bitcoin SV STOLEN from Latest version Electrum SV Wallet BEWARE!! on: January 31, 2020, 10:14:57 AM
I don't know who has to hear this, I have said it time without numbers that people should be very weary of the Electrum wallet. If people can, they should totally ignore using that wallet pending when the issue around its fragility and susceptibility are resolved.
5578  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: African bitcointalk community hangout on: January 31, 2020, 04:37:15 AM

Important information: Twitter CEO and Co-Founder hosted a Bitcoin Meetup in Nigeria!

Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain are taking over the world amd the best of all is that Nigeria isn't left out.

This na why I dey envy people wey dey Lagos, ABJ and PHC. I hope set the Lagos guys took up that opportunity to meet the chairmo and rub minds with am. For Owerri here wey I dey ehn, na die. 5579  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [List] Instant exchanges on: January 31, 2020, 03:40:11 AM
Thanks for the list, I want to try Godex because that site doesn't require registration and no KYC why it has been not popular yet when shapeshift and chagelly has lot of issues recently? Huh

They can be trusted for any amount?
I think it's a matter of time before Godex goes hard on the KYC stuff. Remember, Changelly was like that when it started operations until it had to force users (I was affected too) to a mandatory KYC. Let's enjoy the Godex moment while it lasts. This isn't taking anything away from the OP's compilation compilation.
5580  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in football on: January 30, 2020, 09:09:45 PM
It's a good thing to see such displays. In fact, it's a reassuring sign worthy of note that Bitcoin is slowly but steadily creeping into different facets of daily life. Sports adverts is the way to go for easy spread. But then Bitcoin itself doesn't pay for ads. I am sure it will be worth it if new crypto projects can advertise this way to leave an impression on the mind of any who sees it.
