5581  Other / Meta / Re: Ninjastic.space - BitcoinTalk Post/Address archive + API on: April 21, 2022, 12:49:14 PM
It's better to PM requests like this. Pointing it out here makes it more likely someone sees it, or even archives the archives.
I agree, but in this particular case, the data has already been in Meta for 2 days and originally posted in the Russian section on 11 April. Plenty of time to do "stuff" with it.

I found 4 posts (one of them in a different topic). Did I catch all of them?
Yeah, I think you got them all. 1 in the Russian board and the 3 in Meta. Unless it was shared elsewhere as well. Thanks!

Not that it matters, but who is the guy and why was his personal data posted here? A Russian soldier?
isn't doxxing a serious violation that results in a ban or a temporary one?
5582  Other / Meta / Re: Issue with uploading photos on: April 21, 2022, 09:36:32 AM
Besides what DdmrDdmr already said, there is another way in which your images can become visible in a thread or post. If a user with the appropriate rank quotes your post in a new reply, your images will show up in their post. Sometimes they will do that themselves, especially if the image deserves to be visible. If not, it could help if you asked someone nicely to do it by mentioning it in your post. I wouldn't recommend you PM anyone to do it though as that could create problems for you. Unsolicited PMs are against the forum rules!

...as well as option to reset and remove everything back to default settings.
If you refresh the page, all changes will be disregarded and you will see the normal search results.

Some sensitive data has been posted on the 17th page in this thread > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5231446.320. theymos has removed the things that shouldn't be posted on the forum, but with scrappers such as Ninjastic.space, the original posts can still be seen. @TryNinja if you can make modifications to the results, it would be a good idea to remove the sensitive data from those couple of posts.

@LoyceV everything can be seen on loyce.club as well!
5584  Other / Meta / Re: BPIP + Forum Statistics on: April 21, 2022, 08:49:50 AM
Average registrations per day: 314.85
I find this part of the statistics very interesting. Over 314 registrations daily on average. I would never have guessed that number to be so high. @DdmrDdmr You seem like the perfect person to ask this. What do these stats look like for the last year or two? I doubt it's more than 60-70 people daily.
5585  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: LTC CASINO NOT paying winnings . 1496 Ltc to be paid on: April 20, 2022, 04:10:30 PM
If anyone can advice every single place i can report this site i would really appreciate.
LTC Casino cooperates with dozens of game providers as you can see from the information on their homepage. You could try to get in contact with each and single one of them and inform them about your situation. Share the link to this thread and the Casino Guru one and describe what happened. They might not care, but who knows. Just make sure you sound professional when you do it.
5586  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: LTC CASINO NOT paying winnings . 1496 Ltc to be paid on: April 20, 2022, 03:40:39 PM
Hi Wadzan support , here a screenshot  of who owns this casino kindly shared by Ltc casino rep in ome of his posts.
If u ever will be taking legal  actions I'm  at your disposal.
That Instagram profile no longer exists. But even if it did, who knows if it's even true. You can claim whatever you want on this forum. If you intend to deceive someone or cheat them out of their money (assuming that's the goal of this casino), you would probably be trying to hide your identity and lying about who you are.

Have you tried contacting that alleged owner to see what he says? I kind or remember that you said you did in your previous posts.
5587  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: [VELIKA LISTA] Hardverski novčanici (80+) on: April 20, 2022, 02:18:04 PM
5588  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: BitBox02 Experiences on: April 20, 2022, 09:40:53 AM
One thing that I mentioned somewhere else here in another context is that in the past I had created a 'secondary wallet' for someone in the BitBox software and after a few years when they wanted to access it again, it didn't show up. It was very counterintuitive to get it back: we had to 'create a new Bitcoin wallet' again and there the funds reappeared. They appear to be using derivation paths to allow you to have multiple different wallets under the same seed and without passphrase, but the wallet doesn't store or communicate this information to the host. So in practice, if you get a new PC, it 'forgets' that these wallets exist. It was the only 'bad experience' with this wallet, really.
Ledger does the same, however you can check the derivation paths to all your accounts from the settings menu. Each account has a slightly different derivation path. Is BitBox using something non-standard? Judging by the info on https://walletsrecovery.org/, BitBox and Ledger have the same standard paths, and it shouldn't be too difficult to adjust. Do you remember what path the account had that you created for that other person?
5589  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: How can you verify the firmware's source code? on: April 20, 2022, 09:24:28 AM
I want to ensure that the chip Trezor uses (or any other I will deliver) isn't working maliciously. Is there a way to do that?
I don't think you can. Chips and secure elements in hardware wallets are closed-source. That would mean that any code and firmware they use isn't posted publicly because companies are required to sign NDAs forcing them to keep the information private. Even if there are vulnerabilities in these chips, hardware wallet manufacturers aren't allowed to talk about it. All that could change if Trezor and Tropic Square manage to create an open-source chip.
5590  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Hardware wallet vs software wallet for daily transaction on: April 20, 2022, 09:13:23 AM
on the hardwallet the wallet owner must scan the wallet for each transaction, otherwise the transaction will not be fulfilled
No, this is not safe, scanning QR codes for every transaction might sometimes lead you to a scam, there are too many reports about this, scammers tricking the QR codes since codes are almost similar and design and no one will notice if you will send your Bitcoin to the scammer address.
nankers isn't very good with English and maybe he wasn't talking about scanning QR codes. Maybe he wanted to say that you need to check and physically confirm the transaction details on your hardware wallet. The screen will show you the destination address, the fees, and the amount being sent.

Manual input is still good because you can manually check like checking the Bitcoin address last 3 digits and the first 3 digits.
That's no longer good enough. There was a post here a few months ago about someone experimenting with clipboard hijackers for hardware wallets. I can't find it now though. Your generated address would be replaced with one that is made up of the same characters with only a few changes. Checking more than just a sequence of 3-4 characters is recommended.
5591  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: LTC CASINO NOT paying winnings . 1496 Ltc to be paid on: April 20, 2022, 08:56:03 AM
i don't know how to tag ltc casino, if anyone can help me i would appreciate it.
You have already created two flags against LTC Casino that were supported by DT members. A red notification now appears above every thread they create on the forum warning other users about them being scammers. You are not a DT member, so your trust feedback will not change their already negative rating. But if you still want to write one, follow these steps:

  • Click on the Trust button on LTC Casino's profile page.
  • Click on "Post new feedback" at the top of the page.
  • Select the negative feedback type, add the link to your scam accusation thread, and write a comment that will become visible on their profile page for everyone to see.

It should be 1-2 short sentences summarizing the incident. Check out the other feedback already posted on their profile to know how they are supposed to look.

If i post a technical analysis chart or image in WO Thread, can i still post the same technical analysis chart or image in any other section like bitcoin discussion or speculation?
I am not sure how the admins look at images and charts. But I don't think there is a problem as long as you write an analysis as well and a post that isn't copy-pasted across multiple boards. If you posted something in the WO thread, and you come across a discussion in some other board where you realize that the chart you previously posted in WO is perfectly suited to prove your point, you can do that. You can mention that you posted the graph elsewhere on the forum and include it in quotes. If you are active in a local sub and there is a thread or child board for analyzing market movements and trends, you can even translate your post from English and post it in your native language.

Nisam očekivao ovakav pad kad se uzme u obzir da drugi mjesec ima i manje dana u odnosu na sve ostale. Svi smo zajedno zakazali i manje pišemo u lokalu. Treba nam neke svježe krvi i par zanimljivih tema da se malo aktiviramo. Ja najviše krivim slackovica za ovakav loš rezultat.
5594  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: How can you verify the firmware's source code? on: April 19, 2022, 04:27:35 PM
I only did a quick search For Trezor's firmware and found this GitHub page of the full history of all the released firmware. Maybe what you are looking for can be found there.
https://github.com/trezor/webwallet-data/tree/master/firmware/1

Hashes and fingerprints can be found here:

5595  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor Model One wallet and thoughts on: April 19, 2022, 01:34:48 PM
I think this should be especially emphasized when it comes to Trezor, because the customer must know that he is buying something that has a vulnerability that can be very easily exploited if the device falls into the wrong hands without additional protection (passphrase). Hacking that costs about $100 in equipment and about 5 minutes in the time it takes to hack a device is a serious security flaw.
The required hardware for the attack isn't expensive, but it's also important to mention that you have to know exactly what you are doing. Ledger's Donjon team hacked a Trezor several years ago, but nothing was released to the public, of course. There isn't much information that could help anyone else to repeat the procedure. They know what they were doing and with that knowledge, they can get the job done in 5 minutes. But Kingpin, despite being a good hardware hacker, didn't have the needed information or couldn't use whatever details were released in the statements by Ledger to help him hack a Trezor One. He went a different route and it took him 3 months.
5596  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: LTC CASINO NOT paying winnings . 1496 Ltc to be paid on: April 19, 2022, 12:06:14 PM
I have supported your flag. Although I don't generally get myself involved with flag issues, I have followed this thread closely from its start. LTC Casino has failed to provide a shred of evidence as proof that they are doing the right thing. They promised to release the player's data once the investigation ended and now they don't want to do that portraying themselves as a party protecting private information. Neither Wazdan, the game provider, nor the player have any objections against making the data public, but LTC Casino is still refusing to do it.

Besides allegations and hunches that everyone else is wrong, lying, conspiring, and cooperating to cheat their casino, they have nothing real to say.
5597  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Features - Less is More on: April 19, 2022, 11:53:03 AM
You can't talk about facts without providing some yourself. In one of your posts you said that "many people" are confused with Electrum's extra features. Even if that's true (which you haven't proven with statements from those many confused people), that doesn't make them useless. It just means that people don't know what they are, but that's their fault. If you don't know what something is or how to use it, you check the documentation, do a Google search, or ask on a forum, such as this one.

I am curious about why you think you get to decide what is OK and what isn't? I have said previously that I don't use Electrum's LN, but if I given a chance to get rid of it and my vote determines its future, I would vote against having it removed. Just because I don't need it, what right do I have to decide what others can do?

If you are a hodler like you said, and you use Electrum as a cold-storage (which I assume you do), how can a vulnerability in one of the features you don't like affect your wallet? If it's a properly set up cold-storage, no one can take advantage of anything over the Internet. It shouldn't be possible to establish a connection from your PC. If you have full-disk encryption and password-protected open-source OS with private keys and seeds stored offline, no one can steal your personal information even if given physical access to your computer.
5598  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Keeping coins on Wallets on: April 19, 2022, 09:38:29 AM
The available hardwallet list itself has various brands
You can see here
No idea what that is supposed to be, but it's not a list of hardware wallets. Ratimov has made a great one for this forum, so there is no need to look elsewhere.
[BIG LIST] Hardware wallets (80+)

For a trusted wallet
Can you use binance?
Binance is not a wallet, it's a centralized exchange. Exchanges should not be used as places where you store your coins. It's purpose is in the name - an exchange of assets.

I think everything is safe, as long as we keep the mnemonic pharse from being owned by others
And how do you do that with coins stored on Binance and similar platforms? Where is your Binance recovery phrase?
5599  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: LTC CASINO NOT paying winnings . 1496 Ltc to be paid on: April 19, 2022, 09:25:52 AM
Dear authorized representative of Volt Entertainment the official provider of games under the WAZDAN brand, we do totally agree with you. It's absolutely unacceptable to directly communicate with the player in a B2B segment. With over 15 years of experience in gambling industry we can not remember even one single case where game provider at least considers to give any data or answers to the player. It is always communication or via casino or via platform, never player to provider directly, this is absolutely unacceptable.
It's funny how you talk about what is acceptable and what isn't when you have blocked the player's access to his own account so that he can't access his own data. The game provider has already stated that they are OK with you releasing the data about the player. Why haven't you done it? LoyceV has asked you to to send him the data, and bambolina doesn't mind. Why haven't you done it? My opinion: you are hiding something. You know that the info you have doesn't work in your favor, otherwise you would have posted it. By not doing that it has become clear that you are the bad apple in this entire story.

What about the questions we did ask you during our investigation and you gave literally close to zero answers, while over weeks you've been "analyzing"... Thats what you told us.
You mean the questions that you refuse to release publicly for reasons only known to yourself?

But the truth is, even in 2022 games DO have bugs. It is the reality itself. Providers still do make mistakes.
All true. Can you show us what mistakes have been made in this particular game? Can you prove there are mistakes? Can you show us examples where this mistake has occurred and been reported by other casinos? Can you show us how Wazdan refuses to provide the requested information? I think everyone knows you can't and nothing you said has been supported with any evidence.

Do hundreds of players play only one specific game day and night non-stop?
If they do, is that sufficient proof of cheating?

Do hundreds of players win your big jp 3 times in a matter of day?
Show us the 3 wins that occurred a few days apart!
What are the chances that you win a lottery jackpot? Pretty small right? How about 2 times, 4, 7, or 30. It does happen, and when it does, it's not cheating just because you have a hunch.

To make things even more interesting, this specific player made numerous topics on the one of the biggest gambling forums.
And always he is trying to accuse different casinos in something and get any kind of compensation. So he is not as pure as he is trying to appear. The worst thing from a casino side which can be done is to pay to a scammer or fraudster.
He is a gambling addict. He admits he has problems. Maybe he is pure scum or the best person you could come across, it doesn't change the fact that you have no proof he cheated and scammed your establishment.
5600  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no intrinsic value on: April 18, 2022, 07:42:47 PM
Start by understanding how new Bitcoins are created or generated. The amount increases through mining. How do you mine Bitcoins? Can you do it with an old phone? No. Can you do it with a cheap laptop nowadays? No. Can you do it with a brand-new computer? No.

So what do you need? You need ASIC miners who are developed just to mine Bitcoin. Are they cheap and available on shops worldwide? No they are not. They are quite expensive and in most cases need to be pre-ordered because there aren't enough to support the demand. Is 1 ASIC miner enough? No, you need hundreds and thousands of them to be able to compete against the biggest mining firms in the world.

That's just one part of the story. You also need plenty or electricity to power up these hungry freaks of nature. Electricity costs money. As you can see, a lot of work needs to be done just so that you can have a chance to take part in a lottery, where if you are lucky you will win the main prize. The main prize is the block reward. Once you get your hands on those coins, you know you didn't get them cheaply with all the work and money you spent to prepare for that moment. Once they are in your wallet, you will value them.

Before anyone says you don't need thousands of miners to mine. I know that. You can have just one and divert your hashrate towards a mining pool where you will get an equivalent share of the coins once they find a block. Solo mining is an impossible task nowadays.
