That's dynamically generated by javascript in the browser so chrome is not going to cache that. I think you are out of luck on this one. I suggest writing it off as a loss.
Damn ! i was hoping that Chrome Cache the Pictures from the QR Codes or the Text File or any other Windows Process maybe use the picture and temp or cache it anywhere, or the JS File with the "Data" they was shown to me  It's unlikely that is cached. I was unable to find anything in the chrome cache that had anything that bitaddress generated. Try looking through the file history again. If it did backup wallet B before you overwrote it, you should be able to still access it. Otherwise, the file is lost and unfortunately you won't be able to access your Bitcoin again. |

DO NOT SEND your wallet.dat file unless you absolutely trust that person. Your wallet is not encrypted, so whoever you send it to could steal your Bitcoin. Can you please repost your debug.log? The link seems to be down. What exactly have you tried in order to recover your Bitcoin. Don't just say "everything in this thread", please list them out (some of the things said in this thread are stupid and others you do not seem to have actually done). |

Ill try it again :
Yesterday i visit bitaddress.org and generate a Paperwallet. I overwrite my old Desktop Note with the Address and the Key off the new Address. Yesterday i send 3 times from that Wallet and today also 2 times Coins out.
One Hour later i needed the old Wallet Address i have replace and was searching for a way to get it back...
I found the Windows Filre Replace with old version off it, so i replace the Desktop Note and get the old one from yesterday day back.
In this case the File was replaced to the old one, and the new data disappere and i dont save it -.-
So you have wallet A originally. Then you overwrite that with wallet B. From wallet B you have sent and received coins. Then you overwrite wallet B with wallet A. You now need to get wallet B. Yes? If that is the case, you have sent and received from wallet B. In order to have done that you needed to have imported it into a wallet software. What did you use to send the Bitcoin? Now im looking for a way to maybe recover the old/new file but its the same name like the new one:
C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Sticky Notes\StickyNotes.snt
When you create a Paperwallet on bitaddress.org you get the Text (Address,Key) and 2 QR Picture for every Wallet you generate...
Maybe there is a way to find the pciture it in the Cache/Temp from Chrome ?

It was only a TXT File where i save the data and send the txid's in raw out.
Maybe anyway to see the QR-Codes again ? or find the File in Google Chrome Cache/Temp ?
Then what does I use it yesterday 3 times and send some coins out mean? Did you send from the address in question? |

In order to have sent from that paper wallet, you need to have imported the private key into a wallet software. Do you still have that software? The private key should still be in that wallet.

You aren't listening to us. You need to rebuild your databases by using the -reindex option. In fact, it is extremely likely that you have a corrupt block on the disk, so you need to remove it and allow Bitcoin Core to redownload it. |

@BitHodler I was wondering since the Legendary status is randomly what if a legendary delete his post and then make another one and don't become legendary since it is random!
The threshold is randomly generated at registration, so that doesn't matter. And once you are legendary, you can't be demoted, so it wouldn't matter. |

Hello there. I loaded bitcoin core to a fresh offline machine via usb, copy and pasted my wallet.dat to a few usb sticks and took a note of my address. I then wiped the machine using dban.
I want to just stash some bitcoin in a wallet and hold them till far in the future, I don't need to spend them (10 years or so). I can see that the coins I have sent to the address are showing when I check them on blockchain.info.
Am I right in thinking that I can just keep sending them to this one address indefinitely? I only ask because I've read horror stories about wallets running out of addresses (I've tried to understand it but it's beyond me unfortunately). My questions are summed up below-
1) Is the original address I've been using good indefinitely? (I'm not making any outgoing transactions).
Yes. Addresses don't expire. So long as you aren't spending Bitcoin from the same wallet, you should be fine. 2) Will I be able to restore my wallet using wallet.dat in 10 years or so (or could the ability to restore from wallet.dat go obsolete?)

If Bitcoin Core is still around, then you most likely will be able to restore it. If not, you should still be able to get a copy of an older client (by going to a specific tag and building from source if necessary) and dump the private keys for import into a new wallet. |

It looks like you have a corrupt block. Go into the data directory and the blocks folder inside of it. Delete the blk*.dat and rev*.dat files that have the highest number. Start Bitcoin Core.

You sent them to yourself? It should appear in your wallet. Are you synced with the network? Is your balance not what it should be or are you not seeing the transaction in your wallet?

Currently two getblock calls are made for verbose param false and true, then getrawtransaction for each transaction, and then getrawtransaction for each transaction input txid. If getrawtransaction fails (for example block 0), then decoderawtransacion call. Most waiting goes if getrawtransaction is called recursively till generation transactions remains. That is horribly inefficient. You should not be relying on Bitcoin Core for all of that. Rather, you should be calling getblock once and then getrawtransaction for the each transaction in the block. Then you should be storing data in a separate database which you can access much more quickly. Relying on Bitcoin Core's RPC to get you a lot of data quickly is a terrible idea. You should also batch the getrawtransaction calls so that you aren't sending it thousands of times but just once. Also, you can try apply the patch in the PR I linked and use the extraVerbose option it provides to get you all of the transaction data in a getblock call. |

Right click the shortcut for Bitcoin Core. Click "Properties". In the box labeled "target", click inside it and move the cursor all the way to the right. Type -reindex. Make sure there is a space between that and what was already in the box. Click "OK" and then double click the shortcut to start Bitcoin Core. If it works, do this again but instead remove what you added so that it doesn't do it every time you start.

Agreed the first transaction was between Satoshi and Hal Finney... but I always wonder what was the first transaction where people actually traded something {service or goods} for Bitcoin? Is this
documented somewhere or was the famous pizza the first? Is a transaction really a transaction, if no goods or service are linked to it? If I transfer money to you as a test, but I do not buy something or
pay for something... would it still be a valid description of the action that took place?
I'm pretty sure that the first actual transaction in exchange for actual goods was the pizza transaction. It's documented right here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=137.msg1141#msg1141. In fact, most of Bitcoin's early history is documented right here on this forum. Some of it is also on the cryptography mailing list and IIRC there was also a bitcoin mailing list on sourceforge. i wonder how can hall finney can make the first bitcoin transaction,we know he was not satoshi nakamoto,any explain for this?or hal finney is real satoshi? i think first transaction only made by satoshi nakamoto.
While Satoshi was the one who sent the Bitcoin, it could also have been Hal Finney who sent it. Hal was one of the first people to respond to Satoshi on the cryptography mailing list. He was one of the first developers alongside Satoshi and apparently helped Satoshi a lot during the early days. He even helped Satoshi before Bitcoin was released when Satoshi asked for help on his "project" on the cryptography mailing list. He could very well have mined some of the first couple hundred blocks. |
