People, I've a question please.

Why I see a lot of talking about dipping to $260/$240 and $220 ?

I guess I'm missing something out !!

Because even the bears realize we'll never go under $200 again.

I agree, but why these kind of talks were initiated at first ?

This is more intriguing than the 1200-1300 thread and I think the OP has more sway than the other.

This kid supposedly bought 1000BTC when price was >$300 before the crash because GREEN 3-day MACD "proved" that we were heading UP:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=786277.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=830009.0

Lol, he then almost bought all my coins Grin (because I sold half my stack around that price)

Guys, this time is different Cheesy

P. S.  Even Warren Buffet is sometimes wrong. You can lost one battle,  but you can still win the war.

Hey Ask, hope you are doing well buddy.

Eager to see today's update as usual please Smiley

Thanks.

I agree with guy_wonderful who said couple days before:

"It's is a tea time"

So "it's in the making for the taking" ?

Yes, I'm S.O.A.D. fan  Grin

I just thought of realised something - if BTC counterrallies to Gold, Gold will fall faster & harder!

BTC will go up even faster than it would too.

How can we relaise this in a TA matter ?
Money from Gold will flow into BTC

Thanks for the fast reply Smiley

What I meant is, is there some sort of Charts we can look at when what you says happens, or we will just witness a rally ?
You can watch a BTCGLD chart like the one in Vaultoro (maybe Bitgold has one too, haven't checked).

What you wanna see is 2 things:
1) Who has the upper hand?
2) The upper hand is rallying relatively to USD too?

Don't we think that Gold reached a dip point where it can't recover ?

As far as I've read on reddit, Gold is nearly dooming.

What are short/medium/long term specualtion Klee ?

Something big is brewing. Fasten your seatbelts, ladies and gentlemen. Soon you will hear people talking about Bitcoin all over the place. Grin

Could you elaborate more please  Grin

I call it the trickle down effect of mostly positive reporting on Bitcoin since January. Bitcoin is mentionend as side topic in more and more reports. Bitcoin is discussed more openly in the comments section of major newspapers.

I conclude: The public gets a better understanding about what Bitcoin essentially is. Once one big buy occurs in the market, this will trigger a cascade and people will try everything to not miss out on the next big thing! Especially, when the former safe heaven (gold) is tanking at the same time.

Gold is as big a loser as the dollar, when bitcoin adoption starts!

In other words: People begin to realize, that bitcoin is the ultimative hedge!

Edit: All technical indicators show up,Up,UP! I think it's a sign of strength, that despite the temptation, bitcoin still holds back its orgasm! Comapre to may 2015, when bitcoin came to early.

I totally agree with you, plus bitcoin is backed by GREED.

But as hdbuck said, is bitcoin, blockchain or both is/are the ultimate hedge ?

5590  Economy / Speculation / Re: In 10 Years: 42 Predictions in Cryptography, Blockchains and Consensus Protocols on: July 21, 2015, 04:50:59 PM
I don't really get his prediction about there being 10 cryptocurrencies that rule the world. They'd either have to fulfill very different functions or be tied to national currencies somehow to support so many.

There's only one internet. There's likely to be only one currency that lords over all others that it's used on.

I'm sure there'll be thousands and more by that point but they'll face the same challenges that alts have now. Why would I accept one of them when I could have the real deal? Exchanging crypto takes very little time. People would constantly be changing into the daddy.

You could offer me Rapecoin for photos of my arse. I'd tell you to go away and come back when you're packing BTC.

I thought about this as well.

Even I don't see the nessacitiy to have 2 cryptocoins, as I see no use for LTC tbh.

But what do you think about that market cap, realisitc ?
5591  Economy / Speculation / Re: In 10 Years: 42 Predictions in Cryptography, Blockchains and Consensus Protocols on: July 21, 2015, 02:55:20 PM
Hello,

First of all, I changed the article subject to fit in the thread subject box.

Original article name "The Next 10 Years: 42 Macro Predictions in Cryptography, Blockchains and Consensus Protocols" By "William Mougayar"

http://startupmanagement.org/2015/06/06/the-next-10-years-42-macro-predictions-in-cryptography-blockchains-and-consensus-protocols/

What do you think about the predications ?

I see that they are realistic enough to be achieved.

"Decentralized consensus protocols will become a common part of any technology stack implementations, both in public and private settings."

I think this is key. More and more business with go the decentralized route. Just look at what we saw recently with Ashley Madison, millions and millions on the line because of the stupid idea of having to store people's data due the centralized nature of their technologies. If they used the bitcoin blockchain, all of those people will be safe and the business would be safe from blackmail as well.
Bitcoin is the future,  and we are all on the winning boat. Simple as that.

This !

Klee, why you want to go down to 260/245 when we have a strong bullish support at 275 ?
5594  Economy / Speculation / Re: hodlmybtc speculation thread on: July 21, 2015, 02:54:33 AM
https://www.tradingview.com/chart/BTCUSD/84AU1

Quote
Price has found good support in the lower 270s, 200 day EMA support is currently at ~272.50, also support has been found near the middle BB and is currently in the positive BB zone.

Hidden bullish divergences showing up on multiple indicators.

I hope to get an entry around 275 but if 282 breaks on all exchanges with some volume I'm looking for a long entry too.

Resistances at 284, 294 and 315, I doubt 284 will be big resistance when the bulls step in with force so I'm looking to close longs (partially) near 294 and 315 and try to open new ones after some small corrections.

Next targets after that will be 350 and 375.

Thanks for your nice thread, hodlmybtc.

So in short and medium term you are bullish, right ?
5595  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 21, 2015, 01:21:27 AM
I bet we'll see 269 or 265 before 300 again, but 280 is a fucking good buy, and so is 300, FFS its going to 32,000K next bubble scheduled for take off in ~2years, buy or die.

Welcome back Adam's.

Hope you had enjoyed your vacation buddy.

You are right, even at $300, still it's very cheap.

I will be buying around 4.5 coins within the coming few days to add to my stash.

Sentiment-wise it sounds like we are in "disbelief" phase.

Moon.

Could you elaborate more on this please.

Klee, sideways as result as Inca said, or the bullish side is stronger ?
5598  Economy / Speculation / Re: Direction is NNE (north northeast) - MOON TIME on: July 20, 2015, 05:44:13 PM
After short stabilization, everything works as planned.

Advice for shorters: close your positions as soon as possible.

When do you predict to take off, Ask ?

Thank you for updating us in this thread, appreciated Smiley

Bitcoin is the fastest growing area of startup investment since mid-2012, huuray!

Hopefully in the 5/10 years we will enjoy the final products of these startups Smiley

I dunno what are the feelings of the bears now  Grin
