5581  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Safe with bitcoin? on: May 02, 2021, 12:34:22 AM
It is important to make people more pay attention to cashless payment method include bitcoin so probably we can end this pandemic faster. In my country poor people still need to go to outside for work so they can continue their life. Government don't give us financial support enough. They just don't have any choice except keep working outside.
If we have a family to feed, we have no choice but to keep on working outside our home than leave them with empty stomach. Cashless transactions should be more encourage in this time of pandemic and bitcoin is definitely a good example. Yes, we're safe with bitcoin because aside from keeping us away from the virus, its probably the most convenient and useful digital currency in this era because aside from being used as a payment for our good and services, its also being considered a good store of value and maybe a good retirement outlet too for those who just want to earn profits while staying at home.
In order to be paid, even in bitcoins, these people would still need to go to the streets to work during quarantine. So no one is going to be safe from coronavirus by using bitcoin as payment method. Moreover, fiat also allows cashless transactions through debit and credit cards with safe and fast transactions, like bitcoin. There isn't any solid advantage in using bitcoin to avoid coronavirus infections.
It's quite the opposite. Fiat transactions have the advantage of being much cheaper when compared to bitcoin fees.
5582  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos: Internal notifications, message inbox vs Email. on: May 01, 2021, 10:23:54 PM
Receiving notifications from casinos via email isn't good only for players who can be benefited by bonus, free spins and other promotions offers, but also for the casino as it's a smart way to get attention from users who are offline from the platform from a long time. It's an opportunity to bring these gamblers back to the site in order to make them play again.
Of course some people get annoyed with so many messages arriving daily on their emails, depending on how many casinos they are registered, but there is always the option to not receive notifications disponible on each platform.
Although it is effective, it can be pretty annoying for the users if they have a lot of notification emails that they send to those players, if you are not a casual player then you will benefit from it but if you are a casual one then you can probably get something out of it.
Yes, sometimes it gets really disturbing to receive so many emails daily. But some people don't bother, because they like digging each message received hoping to see an interesting offer they can join and profit an extra income from the casinos. Most messages are probably useless, although few of them might contain gems. And actually these emails can be good also for non-casual players, as they can make an exception and play for the occasion of a special offer.
5583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will governments destroy stablecoins in the long term? on: May 01, 2021, 09:02:56 PM
Once governments start launching their own coins we will know the answer for this question. So far I see no issues with stablecoins, if things continue this way stablecoins will coexist together with governments' digital currencies. My guess is that governments don't have enough power to forbid someone from using a stablecoin, the same way they have no power to forbid someone from using bitcoin or any other decentralized crypto currency. The point that may incentive people to use governments' coins instead of stablecoins is the safety people have when using the national currencies, guaranteed by the authorities. The same guarantee they assure when you invest with the national banks, for an example.
5584  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Internet connectivity - Gambling wins/losses on: May 01, 2021, 07:49:46 PM
I only use a mobile internet connection to my laptop, but I always check the connection by pinging to some website to check how the connection is. But so far, I do not have trouble and the connection run smooth. Playing gambling does not need a high-speed internet connection, but some gambling games that need an image will need a good internet connection. I feel annoyed if I see a lack of time to opening the website or it takes seconds to load a full page. But so far, I can hande it.

I agree that playing online gambling does not require an internet connection that is too fast, but requires a stable internet connection.
My experience using a mobile internet connection has a few problems, because the mobile internet has a shortage of instability,
sometimes it is affected by  the weather and the number of users in the area. Sometimes it takes a few seconds for a full page to load,
and if that happens a little bit annoys me. Therefore I prefer to use cable internet over fiber optic, which has proven to be more stable.
Sometimes, I've got a problem with my internet connection, and I am tried to complain to the provider but they can not do anything except check the connection. That makes me annoyed if I lack the internet connection because no matter if that is because mobile internet connection or a fiber optic internet connection, we will sometimes face a loss in the connection. But if I have that problem, I will close the tab in the browser and shut down my computer or close my mobile phone because I do not want to feel bad.
When I complain about the internet stability to the provider, the first thing they ask is if I'm using wireless network connection or cable. That is because in most times internet is unstable due to the wireless network, but once you connect a cable to your laptop or desktop computer the internet stabilizes again. Since then, I avoid wireless maximum as possible.
I suggest you doing this test to check if your internet stabilizes too. Try to find a cable and once the internet starts failing, connect it. Then you don't need to quit your activities because a bad connection issue.
5585  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bad advices regarding Bitcoin on: May 01, 2021, 05:52:09 PM
Worst advice I received was people telling me to not invest in bitcoin, because the internet is full os scams and thieves. This kind of advice made me fearful, so to avoid being scammed I sold many coins when bitcoin's price was still low. Next, I told people around I was able to cash out the bitcoins and turn it into fiat profit. But it wasn't enough yet to make them change their minds.
If I had received the correct advice on that time, today I would hold more coins and if people around me had done the same and followed my intuition, they would be much better financially. But as we can't change the past I prefer to not think too much about it.
5586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fate or lack of control - Gambling on: May 01, 2021, 05:30:44 PM

Since when is fate assisting you in winning? There's no such thing as fate, if you believe that your actions are driven by some other force, you're definitely going the wrong way, in terms of gambling. Most games, are a simple game of odds/probabilities. What's the probability of winning a Dice game with 75% win chance? It means that by playing 4 games, you are LIKELY to win 3 of them.

What other force? fate is not another force that you or they can change, In my opinion, fate is already set the way you do things, the time you will get hardship in life, the time and date you will die, it is all set up to fate no one can control or change it, lack of control is yourself, it is very not common to fate to compare such things, self-control will establish in your ways and guess mind-set if is the key in doing control over your emotions.
But if there is an immutable fate that rules our lives then lack of control doesn't exist, as it will be just a consequence of this predetermined fate. Furthermore free will doesn't exist as well and we are machines following invisible commands put inside our minds. If the gambler's fate is to be a gambling addicted there is nothing he can do, because it's his destiny. Do you really think all of this make sense?
5587  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much btc do you need to secure your future? on: May 01, 2021, 03:17:08 AM
It's hard to evaluate how many bitcoins people need to secure their future, because the reality of each country is very different from each other. I think the question should be how many minimum wages do you need monthly, and how much is the minimum wage in your country. So we could calculate accurately how many bitcoins are necessary to generate that amount of money monthly through a passive income investment.
I think the investment idea is the best approach, so you don't sacrifice your coins along your lifetime, keeping the initial btcs intact, only spending the interest income it creates every month.
5588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are females welcomed in gambling thread? on: May 01, 2021, 01:35:47 AM
They can discriminate woman on physical gambling place like casinos or racing track but not online where things are more even females are very much welcome to join the discussions as long as they know what they are posting and they follow the rules and do not resort to insulting their co members, in fact it should be encouraged, online gambling is a growing industry and every gender and sexual preferences are very much welcome.
What are you talking about, why would anyone discriminate woman in a physical gambling places like casinos and racing tracks. We are not living in the ancient era while living in a free world where anyone can go out without facing any issues. There are many toxic things in the world but for majority there is no discrimination.
It depends on the country. There are some countries and regions where women don't have the same rights and also don't receive the same treatment dispensed to men, consequently they aren't allowed to gamble. We don't hear too much about these places because they aren't in evidence by the media, probably because free access to information is also forbidden on these societies (a free media will never exist there).
For these women, I suspect it's like living in the ancient world, because since those times too little has changed... And only regards technology, because the culture and traditions are still the same.
5589  Economy / Economics / Re: Tesla still an unprofitable automaker on: April 30, 2021, 10:14:06 PM
snip
They probably don't make big profits as an automobile manufacturer right now because it is about electric cars. But. let's see what can Tesla does in the next future, maybe for several periods nearly, when electric cars become the most wanted in the world, probably Tesla will be the one leading.
Every company has its own target and also progress about its promotion, marketing, income, selling points, and others. Although it is not too profitable right now (as what the OP said), in fact, it is a big company that brings more profits with many developments, and also technology about tomorrow automobile.
Tesla is still growing their business' range. This is a very ambitious company which is investing a lot of money in development, but it will take some time yet until they start working at the same level of the competitors. I think it's not an issue for them though, because they always work thinking on long run. Tesla isn't even disponible in every countries yet, while another automotive companies are probably everywhere.
Furthermore there is some difference between not being profitable and not fully declaring the profits...
5590  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fine line between market investment and sports gambling on: April 30, 2021, 08:50:13 PM
This is a very interesting topic for me as I often wonder about the same.

I think the concepts have similarities but also are different in some ways. Why? Well, there are some high-risk investing practices and volatile stocks. In this case, I agree that investing is pretty much identical as betting or gambling. You give your money without having any idea what the outcome will be. Plus, as some of you said, the stock market is often an unfair place to be, and people with small budget can easily lose everything if they can't afford to wait out periods when the stock prices go down.

On the other hand, I'd say there are the stable stocks like Microsoft for example that generally move in a positive direction and give dividends. So, you get there in order to slowly grow your investment and possibly save money for retirement or whatever. I wouldn't place these investments in the same basket as betting and gambling. Sure, there's always the chance that something will go wrong. But still, I think these chances are small and if you read the news etc. you can probably react in time to cash in your profits.

So, my overall opinion is divided in half. If you buy new stocks and see what happens or invest in volatile stocks like Tesla that can easily grow by 50% but also drop by 60%, you are gambling in a way.

Also, to me the main difference is what money you use for investing. If you invest your retirement fund in stable investment opportunities hoping to slowly grow it, then I wouldn't say you're gambling. If you get some $5,000 you are ready to lose and just want to see what will happen by investing them in some new stock that can prove awesome or terrible, then you're gambling. You can easily decide to bet those $5,000 on a football match or place them on red on roulette and see what happens. If you are ready to lose the money, you are always gambling.

I don't know if this makes sense to you.  Grin
It makes sense and we see this in the market as well, the majority of the money is invested in bitcoin and if you invest in it with the intention to hold for the long term then you are not really gambling, but if someone invest in the 997th coin in the market thinking of becoming rich then that person is gambling no matter what they say, the confusion is also exacerbated because they both borrow terms from each other and this confuses people about both being the same when in fact they could not be more different.
The difference between the 997th coin in the market and the top ones is probably the features they offer and the originality of each one. While the top coins are innovative and have their own technology, the 997th is just a copy of another coins. By investing in the top ones you aren't gambling, but investing, because you know their features will lead them up on long run, but once you exclude the features, innovation, creativity and originality of the coin, nothing is left. That is the case of the coins on the bottom of the crypto market list. So when investors put their money on these cheap (or priceless) coins, they aren't investing anymore, but gambling instead, because there isn't any logical reason they can use to explain why this specific coin is going to return them profit on long run.

So I think we can say we are investing when our actions are well based and make sense from a technical perspective, but when we put our money in something that isn't possible to explain why that is a good investment in a reasonable way, it's because that isn't an investment at all. Besides the coin example you gave, I could also mention ponzi, high yield *investment* programs.
5591  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sold my first Bitcoin and am happy on: April 30, 2021, 07:04:38 PM
It's always advisable to keep holding, but each case is one case and each investor knows his investments better than anyone else. Furthermore the most important is to be satisfied with your experience dealing with bitcoins, selling it or just holding. So if you are happy for selling some coins, that is awesome.
It's really nice to see you bought it at a cheaper price and was able to turn it into big profit. And the best part is that you still have 95% of your coins under your total control. Bitcoin is really a great invention! Smiley
5592  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government Controls Crypto? on: April 30, 2021, 05:22:30 PM
Ok so there are people who say that crypto is decentralized and cannot be controlled by the government. How can this be true when the government can shut down the companies or networks where you are able to buy, sell, or send crypto? What do you guys think? Do you all think that crypto is truly decentralized and cannot be controlled by the government or can they? Maybe not directly but indirectly controlled?
Companies can be shut down by governments, but bitcoin network (blockchain) can not, that is the most important thing here which makes all the difference. We don't need third party services or platforms (companies like exchanges) to use bitcoin. So people saying crypto is decentralized and can't be controlled by the government are telling the truth.
On the other hand what can happen is a persecution from governments against crypto adopters for not respecting a bitcoin or crypto ban, for an example. But it's important to let clear these people won't be prevented from using bitcoin anyway.

Congratulations on winning the highest amount possible for RP on Wheel of Fortune. It's weird that I also mostly received RP rewards on the Wheel of Fortune for this week. I don't know if it's just coincidence or maybe not but I'm close to having 100,000 RP so it is not a bad thing for me.

Anyways, continue playing the WOF everyday and you might get a chance to receive other huge rewards such as Gold tickets, Iphone 12 or even the Rolex. My luckiest spin was a Golden ticket yet but I am hoping to win those Rolex and Phone rewards as I think those are super rare.
Thanks! Yes, it's not bad at all. Actually it's the same than winning 3700 satoshis, with the difference it will take a longer time to claim the coins (once we hit 100,000 reward points). Now with wheel it's much better, because we can reach the minimum exchangeable amount faster due to extra RPs.

Good luck to you too! I hope you achieve your goals of hitting Rolex and iPhone prizes soon! These are awesome prizes, indeed.

It took some time, but finally a better prize from wheel of fortune! My best reward so far! Smiley
For many here it must not look a great achievement, but I'm really satisfied for winning something besides the minimum rewards for the first time. Thanks Freebitco.in, for adding wheel feature!
5595  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dubai's Government and Gambling on: April 30, 2021, 02:27:10 AM
It's not the end of the world for Dubai citizens though. They can still gamble online and crypto currency is always here to welcome players from restrictive countries.
People just need to resign the glamour and status of physical casinos and content themselves with the simplicity of online gambling, playing from home, without getting undesired attention from others.
The problem here is their Religion as far as I know, Islam are prohibited from engaging in any form of gambling not unless they don’t respect that tradition they can travel the world and gamble.

We have to understand the reason why Gambling in Dubai is prohibited though I’ve heard a news about Pacquaio and Garcia fight will be held on Dubai, for sure bettors will be there and that can be consider as gambling.
I understand. Religion there is really powerful and doesn't only influence people's lives, as it also rules the country. In another countries where the majority are protestants gambling isn't a big issue and some betting categories are allowed at least, although the religions are also against gambling, like Islam. But in islamic countries like United Arab Emirates it's different, in a much more strict way.
5596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be a Responsible Gambler on: April 29, 2021, 02:56:44 PM
Gambling is one of the activities to earn money, you can win and you can lose instantly but again it depends on you how it goes works. There are a lot of gambler already gained skills we called them like a pro sometimes and they are the ones who got a lot of profit every time but they can manage their money easily it's just called the risk management even in trading we here this term but in gambling its the same the holder/player must need to keep aware about the things like this if they are already winning or losing money. If you got a winning power it's better to take home not to become greedy sometimes it's the cause of losing more than your profit. If you lose it's better to take a rest analyze and understand your mistake and take it back again if you think you ready it's a bad gambling habit just to play and want to have gambling revenge.
I agree with you there that gambling is one of the activities to earn money, actually INSTANT money. The sad part is not all the time we win ofc we can be lose. But what I am always saying is we need to gamble responsibly. We should know to have limitations because gamble addiction can destroy the person,  future and life. Gamble as much as you can, enjoy your life and have fun. But make sure that win or lose your life will be comfortable as it is for the next 5 or 10 years. Just don't play and play, study and analyze techniques to make you win. We all need to know to learned our lessons not only in life but also in gamble.
To follow the guidelines you mentioned a gambler should have a fixed budget to gamble every month, always respecting this limit to not spend money he can't afford to lose. This way it's possible to have a controlled activity in gambling that won't prejudice his financial life on long run. If he wins awesome, but if he loses it's not a problem at all, because the finances are being well managed.
And there will be always a next opportunity on the following month to play again and try his luck once more.
5597  Economy / Speculation / Re: New Bitcoin support! Fall or rise? on: April 29, 2021, 03:33:01 AM
Now the tendency must continue and push bitcoin to 60,000$ again, so we can start thinking about a new ATH. The market looks very optimistic about bitcoin yet, despite some bad news around.
Yeah, we are going to have new ATH in the new month as usual. It would be very unlikely for bitcoin markets to break $50k levels any more as it is slowly moving upward for breaking the resistance around $56 to $58k levels. So, getting into $60k may happen at any time like within this April and in new month May, we may have new ATH around $70k levels.

OP was mentioning about support levels around $44k levels which may not happen any more as with recent correction bitcoin somehow manged not to drop below $47k levels hence the strong support levels around $45k will hold forever.
I hope you are right and we don't drop below 47,000$ anymore. I think the market has total conditions of pushing bitcoin to 60,000$ soon with a possible chance of reaching the 100,000$ this year yet, as I have seen a prediction today. That is a good sign the market is very optimistic despite the mysteries behind the recent correction which couldn't be fully explained.
So it's important to be fully prepared, holding maximum coins as possible, because buyers are avid for bitcoins, influenced by FOMO, which is caused by institutions moving into crypto universe.

5599  Other / Archival / Re: The difference between the Martingale system and One-Time-Bet on: April 28, 2021, 10:40:22 PM
I prefer martingale because it is more fun to watch how many losing streaks you will reach until you win again. There is no enjoyment in doing a one-time-bet for me, and doing this has higher chance of losing than martingale strategy. If you lose, there would be no chance to recover again unless you deposit more in your bankroll. Gambling is all about pure luck so people that win in a one-time-bet are very lucky. The chance of winning from it is like winning from a lottery.

I have the same thought as you, luckily I gave up this addiction, and today I only bet on sports games.

But I guarantee you that martingale and other "techniques" that prolong the game are much more fun.
I also played a lot with bets where the probability of winning was low (less than 10%) but the reward was higher.

In the end, everything takes you to the same... an empty wallet, but what matters is the fun.
The strategies to prolong the game are fun and without them the game would be very boring, lasting only a single or few shots. I think it doesn't make sense to play an one-time-bet, as the gamblers want to spend some nice time playing, enjoying the moment. The goal of a gambling game isn't to be finished in few minutes, but to last for several hours. Strategies like martingale make it possible.
First of all gamblers play for fun, because if it was only for profit many of them would have stopped already due to the losses on long run.
5600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are females welcomed in gambling thread? on: April 28, 2021, 07:32:55 PM
Actually most forum members don't reveal their gender, so we never know if member A or B is a man or a woman. Maybe there are more women besides you posting frequently in gambling section and to say the truth no one seems to care if someone is a man or woman here. People are just discussing predictions, ideas and opinions without taking it to the personal side, so don't worry about it.
Good luck and I hope your experience here can be the best as possible! You will never run out of subjects to talk about here! If you enjoy crypto and gambling you are at the correct place and won't regret!
