5581  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think financial stability is mandatory to be a gainer in Bitcoin invest? on: August 23, 2021, 10:27:40 AM
It's really a combination of a lot of things, including things like financial stability that can definitely help with investing in general. But really? In my earlier days I managed to multiply my net worth just by holding bitcoin, without even having a stable source of income. You're only really forced to sell your BTC if your only source of income is concerning bitcoin; which isn't necessarily bad, but it's really really beneficial to have multiple sources of income, and not solely rely on BTC price increases and Bitcointalk campaigns.
5582  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: At what Age will you introduce your child to trading on: August 23, 2021, 10:05:55 AM
I wouldn't. Trading takes a good amount of personal interest to actually end up pulling it off. I'd rather him/her trying it himself/herself due to self interest rather than telling him/her to try it.

I'd personally rather introduce markets in general; because in today's world, investing your money in productive assets is absolutely necessary, whereas trading isn't because people can make money through other means(jobs/businesses/etc).
5583  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto Price Prediction on: August 23, 2021, 04:01:32 AM
If we get to have the same price cycles as the previous bull markets at the end of the year, $100k is very conservative. Even Raoul Pal is predicting $200k EoY if my memory serves me right lol. But then again, it's a huge 'if'.
5584  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it possible to make $5,000 a month day trading? on: August 22, 2021, 04:34:56 PM
Using leverage is very risky specially when you have only 15000$ for trading and you can't afford to lose money. You can try spot trading but remember you need to be a professional trader in order to make money in day trading, else in most of the time you will be stuck in the coins.

Yep. If you use leverage willy-nilly then of course it's really really risky. But then again, maybe don't even trade at all if you can't afford to lose money in the first place. Trading is never guaranteed profit.
5585  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it possible to make $5,000 a month day trading? on: August 22, 2021, 02:19:42 PM
I think the sky is the limit when it comes to trading but like what you mentioned, it all boils down to your experience and skill in speculating the market.

That's pretty much it. The height of the ceiling only depends on how much risk you're willing to take. But of course, at the same time it could just as easily go the opposite way and end you up with zero in no time.
5586  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it possible to make $5,000 a month day trading? on: August 22, 2021, 10:20:06 AM
$15,000? Sure, very very possible. You can even make $5000 a month starting with $100 using leverage.

But the question is, how good are you actually with trading? Because the results will mostly depend on your skills/knowledge rather than your bankroll, and how much risk you're willing to take. You can even start with $1 million but you'd lose it all if you don't know what you're doing.
5587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto lending platforms on: August 22, 2021, 03:29:21 AM
I'd personally pick USDC over USDT. Also, when you're using USDT or USDC, always remember that you're using a custodial asset. Not because it's a "cryptocurrency", it doesn't automatically mean that you're going to be fine as long as you're using a non-custodial wallet.

5588  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading involvement on: August 21, 2021, 03:45:35 PM
because even my 4 year old child also knows the trading site and knows how to spot buying and selling which is proof that it is not hard to teach others about cryptocurrency as long as they believe on us.

Damn bro, me too! My 3 year old niece already know RSI when it comes to trading and P/E ratios when it comes to investments! /s
5589  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is trying to register Bitcoin trademark? on: August 21, 2021, 02:33:07 PM
Oh he is still alive and active,I see him posting various Bcash related stuff on reddit almost on daily basis, his youtube account is still active but I am not following what he is doing on twitter.
I still respect him for his early work related with Bitcoin and it looks like he relaxed with all his anti-btc talk, unlike malicious Faketoshi who is going full power and suing everyone he can.

Yea same. Dude's passion was contagious and is totally on a different level, and he was a really really likeable person back then pre-forks. It's just unfortunate that he went the 'different' route. Tbh if he ever admit his mistakes and jump back to the BTC camp, I'm personally going to be fine with it, even if it's likely that the community wouldn't.
5590  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC/ETH influence on altcoins - explanation? on: August 21, 2021, 08:52:04 AM
Additionally,  all altcoins technology is based on bitcoin 's technology

When bitcoin adoption grow,  altcoins potential adoption grows as well. As bitcoin is more tested and developed altcoins also get benefited by that.

I don't think so in this case. It's still a lot more due to market reasons than technological reasons. The same reason how Ethereum Classic(ETC) won't necessarily gain adoption if Ethereum(ETH) gains adoption, and how BCH and BSV won't necessarily gain adoption if BTC gains adoption.
5591  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin @ $50k on: August 21, 2021, 02:14:38 AM
Funny how like last week almost everyone's bullishbearish, predicting a drop down to 20k-30k and all that. And just like with a simply flick of a switch, we bullish again! To the moon! /s

Yea, one of the reasons why people should simply just hold and not try to time tops and bottoms.

EDIT: typo

Agreed about the centralization of staking method was the major reason why a true crypto enthusiast will choose holding over staking but Sovryn seems to offer to stake in a decentralized way though I haven't tried it out.

Been seeing a lot of hyped things about the likes of Sovryn and Stacks as well, about having "DeFi on Bitcoin" or something. But meh, things could be all talk in the cryptocurrency space so I'll believe it when I see it.
5593  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC/ETH influence on altcoins - explanation? on: August 20, 2021, 05:23:25 PM
It's simply because a significant percentage of the trading pairs with good volumes are still the BTC/altcoin and ETH/altcoin trading pairs. Though we've been seeing growing trading volumes with stablecoins(USDT and USDC) since the past months, despite Tether(USDT) still being quite "controversial".
5594  Economy / Economics / Re: Coinbase IPO was the largest IPO in 2021. 86 billion USD valuation on: August 20, 2021, 04:37:50 PM
Is anyone else amazed that during the whole Coinbase IPO phase, both all of the hype leading up to and during the IPO day, that almost no one at all brought up the fact that Coinbase is a HIGHLY corrupt organization.  It honestly sickened me to see all of the hype that they were getting yet it wasn't mentioned nearly what so ever of all of the corrupt shit that Coinbase has been involved in since they opened up. Just saying is all.

I knew there has been A LOT of Complaints concerning Coinbase and their laughably bad customer support, but what do you mean by "highly corrupt" specifically? In what way?
5595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is trying to register Bitcoin trademark? on: August 20, 2021, 04:21:30 PM
I wonder if Roger Ver tried to registered something for Bitcoin, because he is one of the owners of bitcoin.com domain and exchange, but that is not the same as registering Bitcoin trademark, as we know that he tried to takeover the Bitcoin brand.

Oh damn, speaking of Roger Ver, didn't he just sort of suddenly disappear from the public(Twitter, specifically)? It seems like he finally gave up, thankfully so. Now someone just needs to convince Faketoshi to do the same; knowing that him and BSV's reputation is far far worse than Roger Ver and BCH.
5596  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Liquid exchange hacked to the tune of $80 million on: August 20, 2021, 04:03:34 PM
This news has also proved a serious decrease from the increasing security and risk of Cex, the symptoms of Binance, Liquid, etc. what we have been predicted is gradually revealed, no key is kept.  , not your property.  I had to transfer to Dex part of my assets at Binance.  I can't dig a hole there.  Lol

Although Binance is not affected as such, their illness is legally heavy

Leaving funds unnecessarily on centralized exchanges has ALWAYS been risky. It's not like this is only the 1st/2nd/3rd hack we've had since the inception of bitcoin(we're currently at 50+ now), it's just that a lot of people refuse to learn from history. Thinking that the exchange that they're using is "secure enough", not knowing that these hacked exchanges themselves has been thought of their users as "safe enough".
5597  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Liquid exchange hacked to the tune of $80 million on: August 20, 2021, 03:40:03 PM
Terrible news if it is indeed a hack & not an inside job. These exchanges must develop better security but it’s tough, some hackers are extremely skilful. I hope it’s not an exit scam by the exchange but I guess the results are the same either way, users have lost their money Sad

I've always thought that the business model of the likes of Bull Bitcoin(a Canadian bitcoin exchange that doesn't provide wallet services, instead sends the bitcoin straight to your own wallet) has always been a net-positive for the cryptocurrency space; simply due to the fact that it teaches(a.k.a. forces) their users to use non-custodial wallets. Unfortunately exchanges that provide wallet services are simply far more better business-wise due to the laziness of most people.
5598  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: All hail king 👑 BTC on: August 20, 2021, 03:36:16 PM
3. You will sleep peacefully at night 😂😂

This couldn't be any more true. In the 2018-2020 bear market, where I solely held BTC, I couldn't give a crap when it dropped to 3k, knowing that it will go back up someday. Now that we're borderline 'somewhat' in a bull market, that I'm back to having altcoin bets to increase my stack, I've been a lot more restless. Bear markets are honestly a lot more relaxing.
5599  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase heads toward Japan on: August 20, 2021, 03:28:28 PM
Hacks are released when market looks to have corrections and I don't think it is coincidence between the market price and hack news.

Am I misunderstanding this, or are you saying that exchange hacks only occur when it seems like price corrections are going to be imminent?
5600  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Saving Vs Staking on: August 20, 2021, 03:22:36 PM
As for me, staking is more preferable when it comes to long term investment of like 10yrs to 20yrs, because you stand the chance of gaining an annual interest on your actual bitcoin. Which platforms like Nexo offers 6% annual interest, compared to others. And am also sure Binanve offers staking feature, but not sure of it's rate..

It's easy to say that staking is great if you look at the numbers alone. 4-6% on top of asset value increase? It's a no brainer, right? No. Because you're going to risk handing over your funds to a centralized business. I'm in no way going to be comfortable with that.
