Steelers @91 > 251 > 201 > 71
Patriots @8 > 17 > 21
Packers @8.5 > 4.60

Above the updated odds for my picks left alive. Patriots keep getting battered, but I suppose that's to be expected, and better than a few others who went out long ago on better odds. Steelers are interesting as seem to have progressively smoothed out the waves to be 71/1 outsiders heh, who knows eh?

And then my Packers still the leading favs despite the weekend downing by Detroit. Talk about losing momentum huh rdbase.

Raiders - Bengals
Patriots - Bills
Eagles - Bucs
49ers -Cowboys
Steelers - Chiefs
Cardinals - Rams

Packers and Titans of course get their bye.

So of course, I've to back my own picks to both win, right? Double underdog yeehaw!

I remember when BNB was given away free. I had something like 3-digit BNBs just for the nonsense I did on Binance. Of course, chucked it all at fees so have nothing left. I don't even know how much the CEO has, but that's literally magic internet money made from nothing and today worth over $400.

Not to mention all that BUSD and wrapped BTC and ETH and what not on BSC.

Not surprised. Least the guy likes Bitcoin... right? Wink

They keep forgetting the *
Which is * = That we know of.
That really is the joy of BTC and crypto in general. I can be sitting on 200000 a million ETH a couple of billion doge and few million of something else and so on. And nobody would know about it.
I don't have that much, proof of which is, that if I did I sure as heck would not be sitting here talking to you people, I would be on a tropical island having a rum drink out of a coconut.

I have asked myself (and earlier today commented on something somewhat related) and come to the conclusion that if I really made it like that, I'd actually be coming here to full on troll. Probably not every day but certainly I'll be using notification bot to follow some of my favourites.

No promises, but judging from my past 25 years of life (when I started managing my own finances), my income and wealth seem to not have at all altered my online lifestyle.
5583  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🌍⚽Sportsbet AFCON prediction pool discussion thread on: January 11, 2022, 03:12:33 PM
I posted earlier that under 2.5s were usually good value in Afcon, and this was true even in the qualifiers (unless it was a huge favourite). Can you imagine I actually marked down Algeria from 5-0 to 4-0? HAHA.

Looks like we all caught a boo boo on Algeria... Draw was way above 10/1 on this one, double chance was even 5/1 IIRC. But I didn't fancy taking the bet, and lost out.

Some select games on BBC so I can watch for free, but as you said Trofo, they're all playing really disciplined football... sending offs are about 5/1 if you like that igehhh

Well, Klopp won one champions league with them so that must have paid out the other years I hope? English teams have the only big "7 titles in a season" chance, there are some other smaller leagues out there that is possible but English is the biggest one, let us drink for Liverpool to be the first ever team to be able to do that next season.

I am not a Liverpool fan but I have been here on this topic a lot and I have not met with many people who openly talked about their favorite teams, I have said before which team I support and they are in 8th division so they are a null point to be fair. So, the only ones I know are you and lfc_bitcoin and I feel like for some reason I imagine he is a Liverpool fan Cheesy. This is why if they are good and win every single thing, I know two online friends who would be very happy and that would be great for all of us earning via our bets as well.

Yeah, somewhat. No need to repeat the relief after winning that and the Prem when you've grown up your entire life in the shadow of rich bois in red and blue... I'm happy with a special on a quadruple, and that's not disrespecting any team, just a fan's and gambler's fantasy Wink

My favourite boss ever's a lifelong Watford fan, it was nice to see them up (then and now) but I'd lost touch with him by then. My "spiritual" team is Leyton Orient, but only because of Football Manager and their weird twin dragons insignia and that they were up for sale for 5 pounds at the time (or something like that anyway).

Enjoy the football and the betting!

@slaman as Trofo puts it, it's an exchange (just like a crypto exchange, where you have to make markets for them to be available for people to take). Fairlay's a good example to get used to it, and Betfair is closer to the look of it. I checked out Betadda.com but yeah, it seems only available to India (but there are crypto options listed in the footer). Might give it a go if it's affiliated and properly open to us. Looks neat.
5585  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Fear and Greed index. Don't time the market! on: January 11, 2022, 11:50:40 AM
OP, we are all plebs, and newbies, with some trolls who missed their opportunity. The rich ones who truly made millions have left the forum. Plus I believe REAL FEAR has currently not entered the market. Everyone still agrees with me when I say let’s buy the Dip, and HODL. Hahaha.

I've only been here one full cycle but yeah, you got a point. We're still here because we missed our opportunity OR we never intended to make one (I count some of the mods and old-timers here who very obviously to me already have it made and are just here out of the goodness or trollness of their hearts).

Oh and yes. This? This isn't fear. I wrongly thought we'd purged the bears in 2020, but those who didn't leave are the ones piping out now, not the noobs that all of us are.
5586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Cup of Nation Discussion Thread || Current discussion: Group Stage. on: January 10, 2022, 09:51:22 PM
Got all the right results betting and prediction-wise, but I should have listened to instincts and not glory-betting. 1-0 wins all around, typical of the qualifier stages really if I remember, low-scoring, no BTTS and under 2.5s the way to go, and we're actually still in group stage where we should be seeing teams taking more risks.

Hope Algeria break that mould, because they're the heavy favourites tomorrow.
5587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 10, 2022, 03:09:41 PM
Regret changing my draw prediction to a slim win for Bilbao, they did as a lot of people expected (odds were also the lowest on nil-nil outcome), so casper you've gone and extended your lead now with that close 1-1 prediction. Also, serves me right to go for a big Atletico win. Who else is disappointed "only" 2 yellows in that game?

rdbase has been really getting up some sole wins with exact btw. I see you, man Wink
5588  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-01-06] Newsweek: Bitcoin hash rate affected by Kazakhstan internet outage on: January 10, 2022, 02:20:18 PM
The (alleged) reason for the hash rate drop was that the internet was cut off, not that someone would physically attack the mining farms.

It's still quite interesting that the reported hashrate dropped (unlikely to be a coincidence since multiple pools reported it) but the total number of blocks didn't. Perhaps miners found a way around the outage but it's unclear why they wouldn't continue mining on the same pools. If I have time I'd have to double-check if the number of blocks found for each pool was affected and/or if there were other/unknown miners popping up.

Ah right, pretty silly of me then to come to such a different conclusion when the title says it all. Ought to demerit myself.

Perhaps consistent hashrate wasn't there but I imagine even intermittent internet would be enough to broadcast blocks found? Or am I furthering my talking-out-of-ass? My contacts there do say internet's slowed down and in bursts, and mobile data appears less affected (if using the Russian-owned network) so app messaging is still possible just the regular large-media platforms load badly.

My tip for the day is Marocco ML. What is your opinion about that one.

Super boost takes this to 2.67, I say it's big value for money, so a rare ML single for me today. Yesterday was pretty good start for me as well, and don't forget this is also the 4-3free game. I've gone for big goals here, although I know it's probably going to be low-scoring.

Shame for the Bet free 6-6 as I got 2-0 and 0-1, so one correct. Senegal actually don't really score well but I'm predicting 3-1. Matchday 2 picks are also up, don't forget!
5590  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 10, 2022, 11:50:11 AM
Saw Mourinho's face at 3-1, he was trying his best to look angry but you could see his smiles under all that facade... and then once Juventus were ahead, you saw him actually smiling without any pretense. I guess once you let in 3 goals in 7 minutes, and your captain takes a poor penalty after getting a defender sent off, losing the chance to snatch a point, you can't do anything but smile.

hahay, why do you got to breathe so close? =D
5591  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Binance Received Regulatory Approval From Canada and Bahrain on: January 10, 2022, 11:22:26 AM
That's somewhat unexpected news. Like some of you said, perhaps this helps make certain jurisdictions (looking at you, UK and EU) look at them in a better light. Not that I ever used them much to liquidate, but you had to appreciate their instant euro deposits when requesting withdrawals. Since Clear Junction lopped them off, they've had some reroute through a 3rd party SEPA processor but haven't bothered to sign up for that account (the fees also make it highly unattractive).

Big win for them, but possibly bigger wins for exchanges looking to legitimise via regulators?
5592  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-01-06] Newsweek: Bitcoin hash rate affected by Kazakhstan internet outage on: January 10, 2022, 10:30:09 AM
It does make sense actually (that hashrate's not affected). The riots, damages, have all been in Almaty and all targeting the government installations. Big country, huge swathes of land, I explored myself a lot and only covered less than 2% of places!

The mining companies would be all outside those affected areas AND even if they were, wouldn't be the target of the activities. When you want the outside world to sympathise, and you want the ruling regime out, you don't go smashing their people.

Sigh. Like you said LFC_Bitcoin and Trofo, it was such an easy choice putting Arsenal on my ticket. You know, just to pad up winnings. Only did 2 accas today, one was perfect, and the other, well. I had to ruin it with Gunners... who couldn't get a single shot on target. This was a good squad on the field. So no excuse, didn't watch the game as eyes were on Roma-Juve, but Forest must be pinching themselves silly tonight. Good thing Saints rescued themselves last night so we still have a representative in FA Cup.

Still. Good Sunday for me and opening AFCON.

5594  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: January 09, 2022, 06:54:44 PM
If a fighter is on the ground they usually drag the fight from the center of the ring towards the cage so to have some way to stop their opponent from throwing wild punches.
They aren't allowed but the referee doesn't stop them when they are playing the ground game especially for those who are wrestling.

Ah so you actually aren't allowed to use the cage then, so even height or momentum advantage (say, for example, getting a leap off the cage for some momentum) using cage would be penalised?

But I am going to back Ngannou, as buwaytress has already mentioned, the hype is approaching so that should heighten the odds for Ciryl backers.

Gane already at 1.91, I'll probably trigger a bet when it's 2/1. Wish there were a limit order you could set on bets to place bets at desired odds... that would actually be a cool feature heh.
5595  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🌍⚽Sportsbet AFCON prediction pool discussion thread on: January 09, 2022, 04:42:35 PM
Lol. I had no idea you had some Africa grassroots football experience I bet you didn't play during the hamattan season that was the worst season for a football you would need more than two lungs to survive, my football career didn't end well I started as a goalkeeper diving on those strong grasses wasn't easy but I ended my local football career as a defender my hope of playing a broad ended 10 years ago when I twisted my angles I was just too aggressive in my game

If you survive on African field you can survive anywhere in the world.

That's the point... I didn't survive African fields (well, I got out alive but that's all) hahaha! Only played in S. Sudan and Kenya though, so can't say I had a big experience either.

It was hugely physical, and first-aid team kept asking me if I wanted to continue after every clatter and at first I was kinda the guy everyone laughed about after a game. My mistake was starting in usual positions when clearly height (dis)advantage meant I shouldn't play CB. Was a bit better on the wings but second mistake is to weather the tackles with the ball. You fall and the ground chews you up -- after one particular match my entire left side of face looked brutalised but you know how it is, you're new and you don't want everyone else to think you're a pssy so you soldier on. Was still really fun though! And the after-game dinners were pretty pretty amazing..!

Anyway, Burkina Faso got the breakthrough goal of the tourney so that was a nice 6/1 upset if anyonés holding a ticket, must be enjoying life. Hope they get someone sent off soon though so Cameroon can mount a comeback... I can't find a good stream (internet too slow). Enjoy the discussions and exchanges here my friend! Really happy to have you with us!

I actually had Sassuolo on for a slim win but then changed my mind and went for a dull draw instead and then they go and get that huge win. Still, happy to somehow go for a close score on Milan (I actually even have them on a strange ticket acca that seems to be doing well, so don't want to jinx it further) but Napoli and Atalanta are also ahead already, so looks like the favourites are having a strong start to the new year (why am I jinxing myself??

Edit: Napoli's goal disallowed oops.
5597  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: monitoring social trends related to bitcoin is reliable? on: January 09, 2022, 02:48:15 PM
Reliable for what, predicting market direction? Not when the correlation relationship is the other way round: Bitcoin markets is what influences social media trends, not vice versa. See what's trending on social media, and you know what's been doing well in crypto sectors, and what's the market been like for the past few weeks, months.

Even Musk tweets no longer carry the same weight they used to (and that's not a trend, but an event).
5598  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Prophesy on: January 09, 2022, 01:36:27 PM
A satoshi for every imam and rabbi would probably be pretty big, but not as big as a satoshi for every Budhhist monk, heh.

But all irony aside, ownership (which again is another debate since today most "owners" actually are only in possession of an app that tells them they have it but don't know how to or cannot actually interact with the private keys that control those coins) isn't necessarily an equation of adoption.
5599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 09, 2022, 12:50:36 PM
Barca draw with Granada, I think such result isn't very surprising, but still most people in the pool, even not Barca fans can't resist from backing them. That Gavi red card can't be justified, such foul wasn't needed there at all. And 10 minutes remaining, Barca with 10 men on pitch - not great perspective. Granada pushed hard, scored and achieved deserved draw.

Really hard not to back Barca really, Granada were my fav dark horse 2 seasons ago but their inconsistency is as predictable as Barca's current form... but yeah I'm just surprised we don't have even Real fans backing Barca to drop points? As I said, PL Guru's pick shows you also sometimes it's really not worth backing a big upset.

This young side needs to learn how to mature a lot, though.

Levante were terrible in this season so far, but they can't lose all games forever. Few weeks back they lost to Valencia, but in that game they show that they're capable to play. But considering everything, I decided that draw would be safer choice in this game.

I actually can't remember if it was in this thread or another, and with whom, but I was suggesting to do a martingale on teams like Levante, putting money on them to eventually break their shitty streak. But the odds on this game was pretty bad too... it's funny but you don't see them get as good value as say, Norwich in the EPL.
5600  Economy / Speculation / Re: [POLL] Will Bitcoin dip below $40K? on: January 09, 2022, 11:48:01 AM
The answer is yes, if there's no limit to the timeframe, but I'm assuming we're talking about the foreseeable few weeks, in which case I think 40k will be tested, broken, but not for a full 24 hours -- resulting in what I hope will be a significant bounce that carries off with momentum into another test of $50k.

That's my optimism at work, though. Miss Cleo's otherwise where my money should be at.
