561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin is more profitable? on: April 12, 2024, 02:09:18 PM

Bitcoin is the best as well as most profitable and this fact will only understandable by realising that altcoins can be scam but bitcoin does not show any property of scam project yet.

Bitcoin has been around for 15 years seems to be too much if this was all a scam, right?

At this point if someone still does not believe the legitimacy of bitcoin then they are nothing but a hopeless case. Bitcoin has proved itself from time to time again that it does give people advantages by investments. Sure there are still risks but mostly the benefits it brings is more than worthy of the risks you are going to take.

The person you must compete with is you. That person who is jealous of you and wishes you to fail may be you. That battle you enter is you against yourself.

Agreed most people do not realize this but they often self sabotage. Maybe they don’t trust themselves enough to actually do good so since they are scared of failure, they just fail on purpose.

We people do lots of self-deprecation wherein we are the biggest critics of ourselves. I strongly believe that before others respect and love you, you must have that respect and love for yourself first.
563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your pick for best altcoin for bull run of 2024 ? on: April 11, 2024, 10:35:05 AM
We are already witnessing the bull run of 2024. What is your pick for best altcoin for bull run of 2024 ?

I would say XRP is definitely one of my top picks this year.

There are many altcoins being launched each day and lots of them are expected to do good in this year’s bull run I also know that lots of investors have not only invested in solely just one project.
But right now I would say XRP holds the most potential for me
564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Debunking the Myth of Bitcoin's Use Case on: April 11, 2024, 09:52:04 AM
A short educational video explains the difference between 'trading an item' and 'using an item' to show that there's no such thing as a 'Bitcoin use case': https://youtu.be/uNzs9JAKjMY

Lol bitcoin wouldn’t have its price today if it did not have any real world use case, do you think investors are just passing off bitcoin to one another for no reason at all?

The reason why people are so eager to buy bitcoin no matter how expensive it might get is because there is functionality if you own a coin. People are purchasing different kinds of goods that are only being sold in exchange of bitcoin so I wouldn’t call that exactly useless.
565  Economy / Economics / Re: Some attributing factors to the high cost of petroleum products in Nigeria on: April 11, 2024, 09:22:28 AM
Subsidy Removal:You know, when there's fuel subsidies, it means that the price of fuel is artificially lowered for consumers whereby our government absorb some production costs. But when this is no longer the same, distributors are are compensated anymore therefore leading to high cost of production and distribution hence, the effects on the final consumers.

Exchange rate fluctuation: When we imports high amounts of petroleum products from overseas and there is high differences in our exchange rate with dollar automatically the cost of importation increase which now affects the pump price of these products to the consumers.

Nevertheless, there are other factors that results to this increase as the case may be. Then from my own points of view, what is your opinion?...

mate i am not from nigeria and maybe the situation in your country is different from mine but generally the contributing factors of increasing prices of petroleum are geopolitical factors and the costs of extraction and distribution of oil.

Oil are usually received from the middle east so if they are having some conflicts there then it might be a little harder to get more oil thus the increase of prices. It also depends on how hard a company can extract said oil. If extraction of oil requires a much more sophisticated process of extraction then that may be more expensive thus increasing the price of oil. Of course we also have to consider all the other process to be done after extraction.
566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Best exchanges for altcoins? on: April 11, 2024, 08:53:54 AM
Hello folks. I was hoping to get advice on for the best exchanges for altcoins. I'm very interested in brokers who can take in USD or Bitcoin in exchange for the newest/hottest relatively undiscovered altcoins out there. I'm well aware of the "big" players like Binance and CoinBase, but I'd love to hear about some of the smaller ones that people think are worthwhile.

I think you would have to check with what exactly you need the most. Do you value privacy more or perhaps low fees? Maybe you are looking for something more secure?

I think these are the things you need to take note of then from there you can find the best one for you.

But personally I think bitstamp and bisq are one of the best exchanges as of right now
567  Economy / Gambling / Re: How Crypto casino market themselves? on: April 11, 2024, 05:59:06 AM
Marketing requires wisdom and strategy, we cannot go into making an advert without having our first target plan on how to execute such, we need time and strategy in making an effective crypto casino marketing plan,
actually what needs more on capital and that is what we have to gather before considering opening a gambling business , that is the main thing here and next to what we have to believe will happen.

it is not some thing we can start with and have nothing to show in doing it, that is why we must have a target and also work on achieving those targets one after the other in stages, the intention for making themselves is to attract a global recognition to the use of the casino for gambling.
and of course we must have understanding and deep knowledge about system because gambling site is prone to hacking and other bad elements.
568  Economy / Speculation / Re: New ATH hit. Anyone, ever bought BTC, is now at profit. Welcome to fraternity... on: April 11, 2024, 05:50:50 AM
well it is not enough because the price reached 73k and above from your post and now sitting at 69-71k still and i think we will be topping at 100k before tasting the fall.
now there is a week before Halving means we need to cross that boundary before assuming that 500k and above.
569  Economy / Gambling / Re: Nextslot.bet - Random Slot Picker on: April 11, 2024, 04:23:46 AM

570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If we lose in gambling, what do we need to do? on: April 11, 2024, 04:18:23 AM
If you lose in gambling, it's important to accept the loss, reflect on any lessons learned, and consider seeking support if gambling is becoming problematic for you.
actually when you gamble always consider that lose is on the way and you are just having bonus once you won in those bets that is the truth in gambling world that we must understand ,because admit it that we are having fun and happiness while in the table so how could we ask for more?
gamble and enjoy thats it , when you get luck and win then be thankful.
571  Other / Off-topic / Re: 73-Year-Old Michigan Woman Believed She Won Over $3M but got SCAMMED for $700K on: April 11, 2024, 04:07:35 AM

yeah it should be her greed that brings her in but still she is a 73 year old that might be thinking differently at her age, so let us still feel sorry at least for her age .

i could feel sorry for someone, even a young person who didn't have much and gave everything they had and got scammed trying to get a better life but when you already have $700,000 you already have a better life...no need to be greedy  Shocked
that is the difference between younger age and the Older one , because they felt nothing to gain from their capacity and with this they become greedy , we don't know what's her plan why she wanted that 3.5million because we are not there to ask her and give us her motive , yet this is het fault and we cannot do anything about this.
I just felt sorry for her still.

it was her own greed that did her in. so i don't really feel sorry for her. she could have bought 10 cars with the money she had and had hundreds of thousands of dollars left over.
yeah it should be her greed that brings her in but still she is a 73 year old that might be thinking differently at her age, so let us still feel sorry at least for her age .

scammers want to target noobs. if they could target 7 year old children they would do that if it meant filling their pockets with bitcoin. no one is off limits. but 7 year old children don't have money so that's why they don't do that. but if they did you would see scammers befriending them and trying to get them to send them all their money just how it is...

sad but true mate,  scammers target no specification but the willing victim will be the one to take in .
573  Other / Off-topic / Re: The reason why you have memories. on: April 10, 2024, 12:59:02 PM
I think there is a different approach of our memories like me? that I mostly registered in my mind those happy and good things and tend to forget the negative one .
I know that we cannot completely forget them but at least how we deal on those things are the important part .

For the bad memories, you make sure they doesn't happen again.
For good memories, you make sure that you replicate it.

yeah this is how I uses those , to remember and never let to happen again.
574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stopping the curse of losing streak? on: April 10, 2024, 12:54:17 PM
I’ve been on losing streak for almost 3 weeks of gambling, not daily but in random basis for over 3 weeks. Mostly I play only live blackjack using small bankroll around 50$ to 100$  . No matter what I do, slow play or whatever betting strategy makes me lose since dealer card is always so good around 90% of my game.

What I did is I stop gambling for a week and decided to try different game so that my mind will be fresh and positive. I play slot games and manage to win huge amount that is enough to recover my 3 weeks losses and gain a decent profit. I’m just using small bet on slot games when I hit the huge jackpot.

In conclusion, if you are already having a rough time on playing same game over and over despite you have a good experience on it before. Trying new games to you and taking break will help you to snap out of your losing streak because chasing losses usually make us trap on our losses.

In your case, how do you approach when you are on losing streak so badly on specific game. Does changing game works for you?
wow changing game for a week then recovering all your losses from that 3 weeks of losing streak in black jack? congrats with that mate and I think i am familiar with that strategy .
that is what we called  Pahiyang that you need to take a break in a certain game and try your luck in different one in which I also did couple of times but not as winning big like yours.
575  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to self exclude from anonymous gambling sites on: April 10, 2024, 12:36:10 PM
I personally don't see staying away from gambling as something that requires too much help efforts or advice as long as the individual involved make up their mind to gamble within the set rules and limits, this is very important because everything starts and ends with the gamblers not the casino or anyone else.

That's true, everyone makes their decision individually of becoming a gambler and choose their desiring platform for that, in which in all of these process, no one enforces any decision making process on a gambler, so they are expected to also make an effective use of the gambling avenue for their own good as well as considering gambling in the normal and appropriate manner that suite their standard without complaining.
being in gambling is a personal choice either being lured by others or on their own the thing is none is forcing one to gamble but it is a free choice so in all cases gambling cannot be blamed but themselves .
I myself once become an active gambler and almost become addicted but I manage to get out of that and now a healthy living and with small attitude of gambling.

Anyone who is looking for another way to play and be happy because they are free to do so , what should always be done is to find a way not to become Decapitated or fall into Addiction because that does become a major problem for the player and his family.
agree, we can enjoy and do anything but never drag yourself into addiction .
576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to invest 1k in altcoins on: April 10, 2024, 07:16:12 AM
How to invest i mean how to diverse 1000

On altcoins how much to buy of each coin?!

In safe way and profitable

have you considered doing dca method instead of buying into crypto with all of your money? dca method is a much more safer option than investing all at once, that way you can minimize the risks of buying at a possibly wrong time in which  you can have fomo from.

An investor’s main enemy is fomo and if you have high emotions then most likely you are going to have some losses. dca method prevents one from being too emotional and acting upon it by buying into a specific coin regularly in equal parts.
577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you advise a friend in the same way? on: April 10, 2024, 06:28:07 AM
You have a perfect advice but the challenge is, those he know about bitcoin and the cryptocurrency at large?
I think you should have told him to go learn about the industry and what he intends investing in, as this isn’t only safe for him, but also for you because at the long run, you wouldn’t be held responsible for any shortcomings if there be anyone.

If his friend just dives into investing without prior knowledge and research then maybe he isn’t fit to run a business.
All companies also invest in other companies but they do that without careful planning and studying. If he is running a company, for sure he has other employees that he could talk to about before making such a big decision.

I think as a friend you just offered a suggestion it is entirely up to him if he’d follow it or not.
578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how do you think meme coinis? on: April 10, 2024, 06:11:24 AM
I often see meme coins on various platforms, do they really have potential? I’m not sure about their advantages, can you guys help me explain them?

Investors who are looking for quick and easy profit returns often turn to memecoins.

Memecoins are very volatile but the good thing about them is that they are cheap but provide really high returns the risk here is that you should be able to find a memecoin early on before it gets too expensive otherwise you would just be losing much. Most memecoins though die after reaching a peak that is why it’s often only good for short-term investments
579  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you believe in savings or investment on: April 10, 2024, 05:43:14 AM
with those who have large incomes but don't want to invest, I'm sure it's because they have their own reasons, whether it's fear of loss or something,

Anyone scared to invest would not be able to secure their future.
Investing has risks and anyone can try to mitigate these risks if they had just studied about them.

Yes there is a chance of losing but it’s not like gambling where you will put your entire fate into chance. You can avoid losing.

One of them is by saving at the bank.

It’s not really advisable to save all your money in the bank as it will just decrease in value so at the end of the day it is really better to invest them instead.
580  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Will Happen If the Mt. Gox Stolen Funds Start to Move on: April 10, 2024, 05:18:07 AM
Will it never get confirmed? (no miners dare to include it in the block)
Will it be rejected to be mined? (miners find it is a legal issue so they say no, this is not going into my block)

Miners are not the authorities and should not have direct control of whether bitcoin should be transacted or not.
I still think it would be confirmed if not by one miner then surely another one.
Not everyone is aware of the exact addresses where the stolen funds are from and besides if they were to stop transactions then that would be imitating centralized banks which we all know isn’t what bitcoin wants to be
