Atleast stop quoting the big ass pictures of the 280x.

What's the temps with and without heatsinks?
I only ordered one board so not really exited over having to pay extra for heatsinks.
I believe the heatsinks will be optional. Yeah but I would obviously not wanna run the board without heatsinks if it damages the chips?

Keep in mind, Toms is doing no O/C, no option flags, it's basically out of the box with guiminer. My guess is that a fully tweaked setup would be in the 950 KH/s range for scrypt. Still, lower than I anticipated. 2x$200 7950s are a better deal.
Well it all comes down to power consumption though. 2x7950 draws more than 1x290X. Question is how much?

Ok so if these cards are almost the same as the old ones (79xx) Is it better to get the old cards for alt coin mining? They should be cheaper, right?

To be honest with the OP, anything this DyslexicZombei guy does is throwing up red flags for me. I'm not saying he's a scammer, but he comes across as very eager to get your BTC.
What does he have to do with BlackArrow other than organizing a group buy? If you don't trust the guy feel free to order from the website. Although I wouldn't advice you to do that. I wouldn't wanna pre order something that is 4 months away. (the Prospero X-1 (100Ghash/second))

Depends on if I have to register to use the site...

What's the noise like on these new cards when mining? Compared to the old 79xx series?

I thought terrorist finance was something made up by the government to scare us into more and more regulations...
Do you really think we can stop terrorists receiving funds? The real terrorists are already funded by our tax money IMO.

I was thinking about the legal aspect of trading anonymously the other day.
Obliviously the government cannot trace your earnings from trading. (if you don't convert it to FIAT) But what about the companies that receive earnings from selling stock?
Surely they must convert it to FIAT. Would that be illegal?

stefffe, any chance that you could measure the power it draws with a kill-a-watt?

It's not really about politics. It was a stupid idea to create centralized stock exchanges for a decentralized currency. There is a reason Bitcoin is decentralized, but somehow people thought stocks would be different? Did you forget that this could happen? And no, the US government isn't the only government which will crack down.
The smart property function can be built into the blockchain rendering all of this moot. Contact politicians for what? So they can pass a law which was already passed? The SEC already has the crowdfunding law on the books and is taking their time to put it into effect.
So what law do you want people to vote for? The divide and conquer nationalism only helps the state.
The shares on BTCT were prepared for a decentralization. The companies listed had direct contact with the share holders. A list of share holders could be exported etc...

Was all of his bitcoins compromised by the Feds? If I had that much BTC I would spread it out.

I think the reason why burnside hasn't been communicating much is because he's super busy. Apparently from what I've read, he's some kind of crypto currency god. Hosting a shit ton of sites related to bitcoins and alt coins is probably time consuming.

You might want to build it on tor network.
3. That having US investors (with the rules in the US being VERY different) is OK. This one is interesting - but the answer is almost certainly that a UK-based exchange could NOT accept US-based investors as - even if fine to operate in the UK, it would break agreements between the UK and the US. So there's a very real likelihood that any new exchange would not take US investors - the situation with US companies is less clear. You say that you don't wanna go the tor route, because you might be able operate legally in the UK. Yet you state here that there seems to be some regulations stopping US investors to actually invest and use the site? That would be a major deal breaker for me. There must be a ton of other countries out there with similar regulations as the US.

In order to build some trust on the forums I would like to purchase some LTC. I have some spare money laying around, to be precise $70. As you all know there are high fees on Skrill. So it might be something like $66 - $69 that reach you in the end. You need to have a high OTC rating or else we will use escrow. Send me you bids per PM or reply here. But please don't send me any bids lower than BTC-E. https://btc-e.com/exchange/ltc_usd I can currently get 29LTC for $67 there.
