One usually follows the other. If I can afford or want to purchase a PC/laptop with good amount of RAM and a CPU, I can do the same with storage. And I can also invest in an internet package that supplies me with the bandwidth that I need to run my full node. But you are right in stating that there are areas where all this is unfortunately still a luxury. 

I think it's telling you that there is a possibility that someone could change and try to manipulate the transaction. That doesn't mean it will happen. After all, it's you creating it and you broadcasting it afterwards. Why don't you try the entire process with a small amount of a few dollars to see if it will work. Create a $5 BTC transaction on your online machine, bring it over to your airgapped computer for signing, and finally broadcast it on the online computer. 

Good idea. Use it only as a communication medium between your hot and cold wallet and format it every time on either end if you are worried about catching malware.  

That's again adding new complexities to the transaction creation process that don't need to be there.

Bitcoin miners aren't opting for dirty sources of energy because they hate the planet and want to help in its destruction. It's very simple: they are using the cheapest energy they possibly can to make money and make as much as they can. Unfortunately, that's fossil fuels. It it was wind, hydropower, or electricity from solar panels and there was enough of it for bitcoin mining and other community needs, they would use that. 

Do whatever you like. Don't let what I said stop you from developing what you like and creating your own tools. However, I would make sure that I place a visible warning for the brain wallet generator in a way so that anyone who wants to use it sees the notification. That should stop people creating such wallets and funding them. With such a warning, you have done your part of informing people about the dangers. It's their job to take it seriously.

I have never been a fan of overcomplicating things and trying to come up with non-traditional systems. It's one thing to be interested in learning and experimenting. That's ok. But creating an unorthodox setup increases the risk that you took a wrong step somewhere which could prove costly. Both Electrum and Bitcoin Core can run as hot or cold wallets. All the user has to do is to pick one or the other. There really is no increase in security to combine the two. And perhaps it can cause compatibility issues of some sort in the future.

To use it for testing and playing around with, sure. But it should never be advertised as a way to generate your keys. Brain wallets aren't safe. And we humans are bad at randomly picking anything. Such a wallet would be less safe than one created from random sources of entropy. It could lead to loss of funds if you were to deposit bitcoin into a wallet created that way that would then get brute forced by someone.

OK, good. I was worried that your intentions were to export your seed from Trezor and import it into an Electrum hot wallet. Electrum supports BIP-39 seed phrases and Electrum's native seed format, so you shouldn't have problems there. The only other software wallet I know of that supports both seed formats is Blue Wallet.

Jesi imao priliku koristiti MEXC koja je isto navodno no-KYC mjenačnica. To ti i naglase kad komuniciraš sa njihovom korisničkom službom. Međutim TOS pokazuje drugačiju sliku. Piše da su obavezni da poštuju KYC i AML propise i naravno imaju pravo da uvijek zatraže da korisnik prođe verifikaciju profila.

Moj savjet je da skloniš taj kod na kraju. Ako neki admin zaluta, izbrisat će ti temu. Šteta je. Stavi kod u svoj signature potpis, svakako nemaš tu ništa napisano.

Da, govori se o gotovo besplatnim transakcijama u L2 okruženju i dosta većoj sigurnosti za L2 mreže. Moram priznati da nisam previše istraživao ali nadam se da će se vremenom i na osnovnoj Ethereum mreži osjetiti olakšanje radi ove nadogradnje. Što se više aktivnosti preseli na L2, manje će biti posla na L1. U tom slučaju, to je win-win za sve Ethereum korisnike.

Kad sam prvi put čuo za Liquid mrežu i njegove tokene, mislio sam da se mogu kupiti direktno preko Blockstream Green novčanika. Ipak, za njih su potrebne druge mjenačnica kao što su SideSwap ili SideShift. Mislim da se može kupiti i na BISQ-u.

Ono što nisi spomenuo je da Liquid network nije PoW ako što je Bitcoin. Blokove potvrđuje Liquid Federacija gdje 11/15 članova rade peg in i peg out. Ispravi me ago griješim ali mislim da je za peg in transakciju potrebno da on-chain BTC transakcija bude potvrđena u 102 bloka.

A significant difference is the type of data nodes have and distribute. Your phone keeps records of YOUR calls, YOUR messages, and other history about you. Nodes process global data of everyone that interacts with the network.

And a lot of free space to store the blockchain data if you intend to run a full node. Alternatively, you can run a pruned node with much less needed disk space.

I believe them when they say they have plenty of backorders to process. If it's a small team doing that, it's going to take a while.

I can't comment on the build quality of their hardware. It looks good on first sight. Their decisions are questionable, though. dkbit98 mentioned that they created a unique QR code format that is not supported by other software wallets. I later saw what I believe is his source for that information. The team behind Foundation Devices made a post at the end of 2023, announcing that the new Coldcard would have that unusual QR system. It's weird business politics doing things completely different from everyone else and not using proven and well-supported formats. But it's their call, and they'll have to live with that and the aftermath.

Me neither. That's why I asked the user what they are planning to do. Those new to hardware wallets may believe that connecting a hardware and software wallet entails importing the seed into the latter. That's not the way that connection is supposed to be established. The seed and private keys must remain on the device. If the hardware wallet breaks, get a new one. Don't get scared or uncomfortable and input your seed into hot wallets just to see if it will work. That just increases the possibility of compromising the safety of your coins.

1. If my order becomes a backorder, will eXch use the exchange rate applicable at the time the reserves fill up and my order gets processed or the rate from when my deposit transaction confirmed? I am pretty sure it's the former, but let's see.

2. What are the possible reasons why a backorder gets refunded from your side? Is it fee related? If I began the exchange at a time when the mining fees for the coin I wanted were low, but then they doubled, would eXch process the order, request more for mining fees, or return the initial deposit?

I checked your FAQ section, but it doesn't mention any of this regarding backorders you just discussed. Perhaps you should add it, so your clients know such an option exists.


It depends on how soon someone will come and deposit DASH to eXch in exchange for a different cryptocurrency. eXch doesn't fill its own reserves. As soon as someone sends some DASH their way, the reserves will fill up.
