I have a question regarding "the gas limit" which has to be correctly set before sending payment for the ICO participation.
What is the "correct" setting?
how do you determine this?
562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] INDAHASH ICO: WORKING APP, 130 PERSON TEAM, 7 OFFICES, 300 000 INFLUENCERS on: November 10, 2017, 09:07:13 AM
Hey, for the pre ICO, is there a max amount of coins to be sold?

Because it stated "Our hard cap is 320 million (80%) indaHash Coins for the ICO participants. Pre-ICO also is capped."

1) How much is the Pre-ICO hard cap?

2) What happens to unsold token?

Thanks
the pre-ico is capped at 320,000,000 indahash and unsold tokens will be distributed among the pre & main ICO participants but judging by how things are going there isnt going to be unsold tokens
563  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: ELECTRUM WALLET hacked on my computer -- HELP on: November 09, 2017, 11:52:57 AM
I am just thinking, i sent a payment from my electrum wallet yesterday but i had to input my password before it would finalize.
i am not sure that this is a standard feature but if so the transaction would need your password, thatt should not be easy to get.
there has to be a compromise in your security  Huh
564  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Wallet Hacked on: November 09, 2017, 11:23:12 AM
hmm strange one this.
is your pen drive encrypted or is it a standard plug and play drive?
I have no idea how this might have happened, just throwing another question into the mix
565  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin Trading Platform ? on: November 09, 2017, 10:56:43 AM
Hey guys, I want to ask you. What is your Altcoins Market (Trading Platform) is the best from your experience? And why?

I am using Bittrex.com for Altcoins trading because it's secure and good reputation atm. Thanks

Bittrex has a very good reputation and does seem to be secure.
as others have posted here and as i have read on the forum that a lot of people moved from poloniex to bittrex
i use bittrex myself so i cannot comment on other options

Hi,

The thing is that if you already have a successfull running business with offices all over the world and 130 staff why you need funding?

If you believe that tokenizing your business is useful(which I also believe) just start to pay your so called influencers in Indahash coin, I mean why you' re asking some million dollars from investors to do that? It doesn't cost that much to write down codes for that platform and if you're really successfull at your business you must already have this capital.

ICOs are one of many ways of seeking financing. Most high-paced companies require lots of rounds of funding. This usually takes place in the form of Equity/Debt financing. Recently however, companies have started using ICOs as another means of raising funds as it has a few advantages over the alternative methods. In this case, the tokens help IndaHash incentivise the continuation of quality work and a good user base.
and an existing user base!
the ICO also targets potential investors who have existing cryptocurrency knowledge and interest,
which is ourselves.
It is all win-win

Fair enough! But I'm definetely not a user of that platform, just an investor.

Do you think that influencers(which are usually some instagram beauty or youtuber as I understand) would prefer to receive payments in cryptocurrency rather than fiat? Probably most of them even don't know what is a cryptocurrency.
if they can see an added benefit to accepting the indahash token they will accept it.
It will also depend on their needs at a particular time, there may he a time that they need fiat, as normal
but to have the choice of accepting tokens is definitely a positive.

If they dont know about cryptocurrency they soon will. These infleuences i believe are to some degree
konwledgable about technology and would be keeping an interest in upcoming trends.

567  Economy / Speculation / Re: SegWit2x is DEAD! Bitcoin to the Moon! on: November 09, 2017, 07:30:34 AM
The use of the word DEAD in the title is misleading.
The oficial announcement uses the word SUSPENDING which would suggest it will be back.

Here is the link to where i heard about it https://www.coindesk.com/2x-called-off-bitcoin-hard-fork-suspended-lack-consensus/

I think bitcoin had its moment dropping down below 7000$ now its back again as are some alts
568  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where do you sell coins ? on: November 08, 2017, 05:52:57 PM
Where do you sell your coins ? i use a swedish Exchange to BUY coins, but they don't take sell orders lol.
thought it would be good to know a few sites if the big day to sell comes hehe
if you can connect your fiat bank account with coinbase you can make withdrawals from crypto* to fiat.
*that crypto on coinbase can only be Bitcoin, Ethereum or Litecoin so will will have to exchange into those before going out to fiat.
569  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: brain wallets - good or bad on: November 08, 2017, 03:47:36 PM
i would have thought they were a great idea because there is nothing to be destroyed,
Only your brain.

once you choose a system for creating your password you are sorted.
If for example you were interested in astronomy you could combine planets in our solar system with their position from the sun,
of you could combine the birth dates of you family starting with the oldest down to the youngest.

That's a good example of bad passphrase. Anyone who knows about your passion can easily crack your wallets.

ok, but "they" have to firstly know you, know your interests, try all combinations of all the interests you have, know you have Bitcoin and know they are in a brain wallet.
what about picking something you absolutely hate, or something male orientated if you are a female, it just needs to be something specific that you will remember.

571  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Going to sound like moron here but **** it ..... on: November 08, 2017, 11:12:19 AM
Nvidia is a huge corporation which you can trust. Windows 10 on the other hand has a built-in keylogger. But it's the not the corporations you should be afraid of, rather hackers.

Consider buying an hardware wallet if you keep loads of bitcoins, otherwise chill out Cheesy

Windows 10 has a keylogger?
where is it?

I did not know windows 10 had a keylogger either.
'Many Windows 10 users are unknowingly sending the contents of every keystroke they make to Microsoft due to an enabled-by-default keylogger.'
turn it off - https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/blog/2017/03/microsoft-windows-10-keylogger-enabled-default-heres-disable/
I am thinking why does it have it and that it is a potential target for hackers?

572  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: brain wallets - good or bad on: November 08, 2017, 11:03:37 AM
i would have thought they were a great idea because there is nothing to be destroyed,
i.e paper, hard drive, hardware.
once you choose a system for creating your password you are sorted.
If for example you were interested in astronomy you could combine planets in our solar system with their position from the sun,
of you could combine the birth dates of you family starting with the oldest down to the youngest.

what is a bad idea if picking something obscure in some other language, that can be forgotten.
573  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum 3.0 is out ! on: November 08, 2017, 10:18:35 AM
1/ Could someone explain in simple words, for the average users, what are the main benefits of Electrum 3.0 vs 2.9.3?
The fees are reduced due to each inputer being smaller as some of the data is stored in relation to the original address (the one beginning with a 1), and some is stored in relation to the segwit address (the segwit address). Although someone may be able to explain this more clearly than I can

What this segwit support is used for? Has this something to do with the forthcoming fork?
This specifically is to do with the August 1st fork this year. The upcoming fork is Segwit2x. The August 1st fork was the Segwit one that this supports.

2/ If we are using ver.2.9.3 now, how shall be proceeded in installation process? Should we de-install the old version and re-install the new one, or we may install straight over v.2.9.3?
Write down you seed and if you install the new wallet in the way you previously installed the last one and it uses a heuristic algorithm so should be able to find your wallet file and if not, import your seed.

3/ Should we be in a hurry at all to install the 3.0 version?

No it just means that you can send with lower fees.
You do have to send the coins to a P2SK(/segwit) address before you can sign a segwit transaction.
thanks for the information!
this is great news from electrum.
what happens if we do not upgrade to the new V3 wallet immediately?
I am thinking of waiting until further updates are released as i am a small user with not that many transactions yet.
574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alts one more time on: November 08, 2017, 08:45:42 AM
I also think there will be more casualties on the days before the fork.
there may be permanent losses in altcoins but i am not so sure that bitcoin will loose a big amount of its value because there will be trading of 2x coins back into bitcoin
575  Other / Meta / Re: What functions are you missing on the current forum? on: November 07, 2017, 04:03:47 PM
what about a follow function so people can follow others that have the same thoughts, posts, ideas.
or for people that presumably give good advice.
576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] INDAHASH ICO: WORKING APP, 130 PERSON TEAM, 7 OFFICES, 300 000 INFLUENCERS on: November 07, 2017, 03:59:27 PM
Unique project.....to bring Brand,Social media influencer and target audience at one platform by providing indaHash coin as a unit of exchange or reward. Best part about this ICO is that the company is already quite established and have brands in its portfolio. So unlike other ICO's, first stage of product making is already achieved and therefore investors will be soon getting rewards out of companies profits.
So it is quite safe and must apply ICO.
logically right mate, this business already have its own achievements investors are giving chances to gain benefits out from the project which is already exist, like what you have said there are only few ico project which already have a ready business aside from those gambling house  who also offer thier
owned versions of ico. so its up to the those people to assess and read more about this ico project.
and to add a little to this,
the target audience is becoming more and more aware of crypto.
look at the new album by Bjork, it will be sold with 100 free audiocoin so people are becoming more aware of crypto tokens
577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever invested in an ICO? on: November 07, 2017, 03:56:16 PM
yes i have bought into an ICO,
my first one was Electroneum which has great potential and there are a few threads about it in the altcoin section.
The current one in my signature INDAHASH has a very promising project also.
Here is the link to the announcement page https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2285136.0;topicseen
There are also a lot of scam ICO's still being found out.
578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bjork album available with 4 cryptocurrency !! on: November 06, 2017, 02:18:19 PM
I just saw this on The Verge https://www.theverge.com/2017/11/6/16611822/bjork-album-utopia-cryptocurrency-audiocoin
i was wondering if anyone on this forum saw it, not too many by the looks of it.
this is great news with the potential to attract even more new users of crypto.
579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how do we sell our token on: November 06, 2017, 10:33:49 AM
hi would like to know how so we use or sell our ICO token ?
what token are you looking to sell?
is it just a general question about all tokens?
there is the option of using an exchange or you can use the coin trading/currency exchange section here on the forum https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0
580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Recommended 20k USD Long Term Portfolio (3-5 yrs.) on: November 06, 2017, 10:18:05 AM
It looks very good. I would personally buy less than %1 ripple. I dislike centralized coins. I would also suggest you monero and zcash as they are both best anon coins right now.

The portfolio looks good, investing in Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin is good and as followmenot suggests i would also recommend monero and zcash.
monero has big support because of its secure anonymity function, something which will always be in demand.
