561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You hoping that the next coin Elon will hype is one of the coin you are holding on: June 04, 2021, 04:05:17 PM
Elon Musk creates a lot of millionaires on those DogeCoin bag holders, are you hoping that the next coin Elon will hype is one of the coins you are holding, honestly I am and praying that the next token he will hype is TRON, still buying a lot of it.
Why not it's cheap and fast what can you ask more?

This is a disappointment for me that we are seeing most of our crypto investors now looking forward to investing in a coin/token because they are hoping for it to be hyped. Since you believe in Tron for its solutions why do you think it needs a hype to grow?

I didn't think we will get to this level where hyping by some Billoniear will be our basis for investment. What happens to, looking for the true crypto projects with real Dev workings? At some point in the near future, all this hype will no longer be a thing of influence in the crypto space.
562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did you fall for the current dip and sell off on: June 03, 2021, 11:26:43 AM
Honestly wanted to ask and to discovered the newbies among us. i though of creating a vote but it is not Necessary.  i really wanted to ask if there are members of this community that sold off during the last dip thinking that the market has crashed. alot of friends kept complaining that bitcoin and alts will go deep down and it will take months before coming back.

Really wanted to find out people that lost their grip and sold off. what really was your main reason for NOT holding...

Grin Grin Grin Because I was able to make more profits and increase my volume by sell-off somewhere at the top while the dip started and I was also able to buy back now even though I did also take profits from my initial sales.
I have always seen people claiming it is the newbies that sold during times like this but we truly know that is not the fact, Is it not also wise to sell when Bitcoin was like $60k or maybe even $55k and buyback around even $30k-$35k?
If you believe that the market was correcting and that wasn't the end then you know that this was an opportunity you have to increase your position.
563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can good news impact crypto value without whales? on: June 03, 2021, 11:13:25 AM
Imagine a world of crypto without millionaires and whales will good news even affect crypto value or not? I believe crypto market can be manipulated to increase in value and also decreased in value so why not just ride along with these so called whales? They will crash the market so that's a perfect time to buy, they will also pump when the time is right and that's the time to sell, this is just my own way of making money, ride along with the whales
I personally don't think that it is possible for the market not to have people like whales in the system because we all cannot have the same amount of investment in the market, so some will definitely have more than others and this situation will still exist even though I do believe that good news or Positive news from the crypto project can influence price without whales manipulation.
564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin listed on Coinbase pro on: June 03, 2021, 11:00:59 AM
it is gradually making sense because coinbase has shown that it has no genuine reason to explain why they listed dogecoin. known the fact that it has nothing to offer but just meme. A meme coin goes to coinbase, one of the most reputable exchange.their token sales that plummet down below IPO price shows that they have nothing serious to offer. they might list shibabu coin soon because of the high vloume and marketcap.

I agree with what you are saying and I can relate that to what @KaliLinux has said below.

Grin Normal projects that have a product can hardly reach the price of $ 1. And 1 post of Elona sent the D.. to the moon. I think we started to devote too much to memes on the Internet. They just stopped thinking about the quality of the product.
I also think we are getting to that point in the cryptocurrency space where most investors are not really interested in what the coin/token is all about and what it provides but rather people invest now because it is been promoted by a known celeb of Billionaire.

I believe this is the same virus that has come over an exchange like Coinbase pro where I believe if not for the Hype that has put Dodecoin where it is now they probably wouldnt have thought of listing it since they didnt since the existence of the coin, so what is new now with dogecoin oustside the Hype?
565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Elon Musk manipulating the market? on: June 02, 2021, 08:44:47 AM
Isn't it obvious that Elon Musk is manipulating the Market? Everything he has done or said about any cryptocurrency is in a bid to make a profit. Everything about his support and eventually oppose of Bitcoin was market manipulation and all the Hype of Dogecoin too.

If Elon hadn't hype Dogecoin, this wouldn't have happened. Coinbase Pro opens up to dogecoin after cryptocurrency’s 6,000% gain this year

I want to believe that there are many more well-developed crypto projects than Dodecoins that could have been listed on Coinbase pro that is still not traded there now but open to Dogecoin. These are all market manipulation and are all interrelated.
566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Have you given up on airdrop? on: June 02, 2021, 08:33:21 AM
I think you should not believe on airdrop, 99% airdrop campaigns are valueless. And only 1% can bring you good payoff, so how can you choose the right airdrop to join? The answer is your luck, if you dont want depend on your luck? Then you have to do hundred of airdrop per day to get a chance that you will receive good coins. Good luck.
I quite agree with you. Even though I don't really remember the last time I joined in any airdrop, I believe most of them are really valueless so I wouldn't want to involve my time in something that wouldn't really pay much, even some Bounties these days are becoming less valuable talkless airdrops.
567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All of a sudden they want to join crypto. on: June 01, 2021, 10:36:48 AM
in the past many people of all professions were not very sure about the future of cryptocurrencies, and there were even quite a few negative comments against people who had invested in cryptocurrencies, but over time it turned out that cryptocurrencies were running on good rails, so people  who used to be pessimists are now very confident, hopefully we can enjoy success together in the crypto market.

I think only Fomo this year made a lot of people want to join crypto, after this bullrun is over, my prediction will be less crypto users and most will blame crypto for their losses, because many only join after seeing Fomo from friends or someone who make huge profits in crypto but they don't know the process.
Well it depends, it might not really be because of loss but because most will take profits and step out till they feel they will be able to buy the dip again in fact I believe that this is what most of the crypto investors do, except for the few that do daily trade which if there is not really big volatility in the market, it might really not be profitable.
So I believe all of the other professionals that came into crypto will mostly Hodl for profits rather than daily trade.
568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is Binance too big to fail? on: June 01, 2021, 10:29:11 AM
I remember when I really got serious with knowing trading back in 2017, Bittrex was the go-to exchange then but not that it has failed and don't which that on any exchange to be honest because we cannot imagine the number of people that their investments would be lost through that but Bittrex is no longer as popular as it was back then.
Just like many have probably pointed out, nothing is too big to fail in terms of this crypto space, so this can happen even though we don't wish it.
569  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What effect does a growing number of altcoins have on Bitcoin on: May 31, 2021, 08:36:06 AM
I was just thinking, most new projects i.e the altcoins we have today are really not bringing anything new to the table other than enriching the devs themselves, who have these projects milking the life(value) out of established coins like bitcoin which could be the cause of been bearish or the extra load that's slowing bitcoin from going to the moon.

So what could be the long term effect of having more altcoins on the market, will they help build or break bitcoin?

Could exchanges play a major role in ensuring shitcoins don't get to see daylight to protect coins that are established to grow?
I know that just like we have the shitcoins, we also have the shitty exchanges that will list anything that comes without taking into account their genuineness. Even so, I don't think this is a problem to the growth of Bitcoin and many of those Alts will naturally die off anyway.
570  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will energy consumption be Bitcoins downfall ? on: May 31, 2021, 08:28:40 AM
Just as people moved from gasoline powered cars to electric will investors also move from bitcoin to ecofriendly alts?
I don't think energy consumption will result in Bitcoin's downfall. Bitcoin miners will always move towards any means that will be better in the coming future for Bitcoin mining. This is natural since the general energy consumption is moving towards that direction anyways and I see Bitcoin miners going that route.
571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What goes up must come down on: May 30, 2021, 09:36:49 AM
There is too much leverage and too much potential profits in crypto space today which makes me feel like I'm reliving the 2017/2018 era once again, forget the big institutions investing money on crypto, those who bought at 4000$ per BTC are already millionaires/billionaires, you can't expect them not to take profit, be prepared

It can happen, but it's luck in taking a stand. If you dare to take risks, then everyone will get that opportunity. The reason is, what happened to the current Doge holders has benefited greatly. Doge's price is up thousands of percent from the base price.
Dogecoin was a one-off. If Dogecoin did not, unfortunately, have all the hype It did from Elon musk, Dogecoins discussion would be different, or there wouldn't have been any discussion at all about Dogecoin. I believe in situations like this we are referring to real crypto projects where you are assured your risk is 90% guaranteed.
572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Red crypto market today on: May 30, 2021, 09:23:17 AM
What has caused the crypto market's mood to decline in recent days? I lost quite a lot in crypto trading this month. Let us discuss it with enough insight and hope that in June Susana will return to a stable green, Thank you friends.

Two big issues that caused the market to turn red again. The first, that China will remove illegal crypto in its country, and the second Elon Musk will no longer use Bitcoin as a means of payment at the Tesla company. This issue can be right or wrong. However I do think that in some way the issue could affect the market price.
I think if China has not gone the way it did with their newly announced Ban on crypto again I don't think Elons tweet will continue to drop the price to the extent it went. Yes, Elon musk's tweet also contributed to the dip but Elon has also gone ahead to make another tweet about trying to get on the right side of Bitcoin. However, the market will continue to experience these dips whether FUD contributed or not but will definitely recover.
573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Many large crypto mining operators are moving out of China on: May 29, 2021, 06:21:19 AM
China’s renewed campaign against cryptocurrency has mining and exchange operators retreating from the country.  READ THE COMPLETE ARTICLE HERE: https://worldpublicityblog.com/index.php/2021/05/28/many-large-crypto-mining-operators-are-moving-out-of-china/
I want to believe that Bitcoin mining is lucrative in the sense of profit generation from mining and if this is the case, are there no other countries with Greener energy generation that could involve in Bitcoin mining instead of all this concentration in china?

I agree with @BitTraderCute view here
if really happen, for long-term goal it's good for crypto market. China as biggest miner in the world could not control of make fud anymore. we will really see decentralized market if miners spread around the world. market will be healthier than before and I see bullish trend stronger than before. we will see in couple weeks is it will really happen or not.

If crypto is the definition of Decentralization then, mining should be too and not a concentration which results to control.
574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we live without btc? on: May 29, 2021, 06:13:15 AM
I feel like the cryptocurrency industry would be greatly distressed without bitcoin. Bitcoin seems like the legal tender and a universal currency in this space. This explains why every centralised exchange lists bitcoin and have a bitcoin market, where other cryptocurrencies can be traded for Bitcoin. I really don't know what it would feel like to have bitcoin out of the market, but it would bring about a massive lacuna in the industry.
I believe the question was, Can we live without btc? Were we not living without BTC before its invention? You will never worry about something you do not know like we never worried when we didn't know anything about Bitcoin. But now that we know what Bitcoin is and how much we can make from investing in it, it might seem different to us.

575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you heard about another meme crypto "StopElon"?? on: May 29, 2021, 06:08:13 AM
We all are aware about Musk influence on crypto market these days and he is moving the market with his tweets messing up the prices of every coin. But to counter with this situation a social community has came up with another Cryptocurrency named "StopElon".

The main objective behind this coin is stop Elon from ruining crypto market and downfall of his company Tesla.

Quote
Just like Dogecoin, STOPELON is a meme cryptocurrency. It was built with, as befits any meme currency, quite unrealistic meme-like goals.

The new cryptocurrency is currently being traded on the Binance Smart Chain blockchain.

The coin has a market cap of nearly $24.9 million while it's currently being traded at $0.0000481795 per coin. Two days ago, the coin was traded at $0.0000019.

The total STOPELON supply comprises 50 percent of coins available for purchase and 40 percent already burned and removed from circulation with 5 percent each for the developers’ wallet and marketing.

The prices have surged from US$0.0000019 to US$0.00009450, a jump of 4874% in 24 hours which shows how frustrated investors are of Musk.

You can visit their official site to check their main motive and steps and guide on how to buy this memecoin.StopElon

What are you views about this another meme Cryptocurrency set up against the market manipulator Elon Musk?
I believe that all together people are still giving Elon credit by even creating this shit coin which they are also using to defraud people that will invest in them. This is the reason why some people will tell you that crypto is all scam because anyone can wake up one money and create whatever to make money. I truly believe that Elon is not the only reason for this market movement and should not be given all this credit for it.
576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we all fools on believing the word "HOLD"? on: May 28, 2021, 03:52:21 PM
I believe the HODL theory is subjective. If I have a coin that is trading at about $100/coin and the dip starts and I sell and the price of this coin dips to around -$20, would it have been wise for me to have applied the HODL practice instead of me selling for say %80 and buying back at $20 or even $30 which would have given me $50/coin profit then. I don't really believe I should be HODLing when there is an opportunity for me to increase the volume and profit of my Investment except I bought at low and will HODL till such time I am ok with my profits and do the above process again. Wink
577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should you buy bitcoin right now? on: May 28, 2021, 03:30:22 PM
it's too late to buy Bitcoin. Its value is increasing day by day.We should have bought it couple of years ago. In 2025 people will say it again, it's too late now. It us said that the future economy will depend on bitcoin.
Until recently, the price of bitcoin was over $ 60,000. It is now down to just over $ 43,000. For those who believe that bitcoin will at least recover at least to its previous price, this will be a good profit, which means that it is not too late to buy bitcoin now. Well, for those who do not believe in the further price growth of bitcoin, they should not buy it now.
In any case, there are no serious reasons for the fall of Bitcoin yet. The current price drop should be considered an expected and predicted correction, and everyone should decide for himself how to proceed in this case.
Even now that Bitcoin is trading at around $36k+ some people that were hoping for Bitcoin to drop in price when it was trading at $60k+ might still find it difficult to buy still hoping for more drop until it rises again. I believe that once you truly want to invest in Bitcoin even though we might want to buy at a lower price, any time you invest in BItcoin is a good time.
578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin season ending in may ? on: May 27, 2021, 11:16:04 AM
well, altcoin season will be driven by the increase in bitcoin price. for now, it seems that from now on there is indeed a price correction so that we see May as the end of the altcoin season this year. however, if the price of bitcoin increases again, the altcoin season will occur again in the coming months. that's what I believe.
I agree with you on this, From my monitoring of the market, I have also noticed this Altcoins price moving up with bitcoin as Bitcoins price go up even if it might not be all of them. We must have noticed that after this past dip in prices, Bitcoin and most Alts are coming back up so I believe that Altcoins will rise again.
579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jobs at Apple: Business Development Manager – Alternative Payments on: May 27, 2021, 11:05:51 AM
Apple looking for Business Development Manager – Alternative Payments

Key Qualifications:

https://jobs.apple.com/en-ae/details/200247094/business-development-manager-alternative-payments

So there's a big possibility that Apple Pay is going to accept crypto payments in the future? BTC? ETH? or maybe Doge?  Grin

That is what it seems like. Looking for someone with that much experience in cryptocurrency could mean that they will hopefully be accepting cryptocurrency as a payment or looking towards that direction in the future.
580  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Iran bans Bitcoin too on: May 27, 2021, 10:58:45 AM
Iran bans Bitcoin a few days after China did. This is coming after what seemed like an aftereffect of the Chinese action that saw Bitcoin dip severely (it still hasn't recovered from it).

I'm wondering if there are going to be any side effects or consequences for the Bitcoin community with the action taken by the Iranian government or is it just another case of "the snail shouldn't talk where animals with horns are asked for opinions"? Iran isn't such a big name in the crypto space, by the way.

According to report, the ban is a temporary one which will last only four months to enable the country correct its power blackout.

Do you think this ban from Iran is another FUD?
If this happened au you mentioned a few days after china took their decision then Irans news didn't or followed the dip already. I don't think Iran has that much influence on the cryptocurrency market anyways but since it was around the same time, I don't think there will be a different effect from that again.
