Bitcoin might be a subject in college but being a major in college is a little bit out of hand. I cannot see someone majoring in bitcoin unless they are really decided to work for it full time like others that are already earning well in the cryptocurrency world. It must be first legalized and then educate others on how to use bitcoin. They must also teach the advantages and disadvantages in bitcoin and let their laboratories be hands on in handling bitcoin.

It is not advisable to quit your job. It is only advisable to quit your job if you are earning on a daily basis and you have a stable income on the bitcoin industry. For me, yes, i think bitcoin would become a great asset for the government and banks if they legalized it and learn how to use it properly. They must not abuse it because it can turn into a finance for weaponries and bitcoin is not made for those kind of ways. Bitcoin helps a lot of people who doesnt have stable jobs and it can generate a source of extra income.
