561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TaxiCoin - An Alternative Cryptocoin For Taxis Everywhere on: February 28, 2014, 06:03:26 AM
as a cab company owner in duluth, mn i would love to see this coin flourish.  I already accept bitcoin for taxi rides... there's just not much of a bitcoin market up here.  I'm using my website to spread the word.

Here's my address: TLWe8bjKFkByXoQQSBrmwx56mqiEb8AcVn

This coin is useless unless it can be traded on an exchange. the OP needs to get an exchange to accept it.

Hey guys we are working with the CryptoALtex devs to get TAXI listed asap. Was hoping it would be up last night but they want to make sure their servers are solid to handle coins being added at this stage for them.

We will keep you posted here or check out our twitter feed for news on the listing and our other efforts to get TAXI listed asap.

 - TAXI COIN team

Any updates on getting this listed on CrytoALtex?

Doubt it.. taxi.allpoolz.com is stopping their pool, and I noticed the hashrate has dropped to only 6 mh/sec.  when the pools start closing its not good. Too bad, I believe the future is not only in bitcoin but special purpose alternate currencys like this one and REddcoin where the base trading currency is bitcoin. It seems that is a possible direction of crypto currency, making perfect sense that a secure fast transaction exchanged with a secure currency will only make this new industry safer and stronger.

564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TaxiCoin - An Alternative Cryptocoin For Taxis Everywhere on: February 25, 2014, 02:31:08 AM
Why no interest in this coin? I think its a brilliant concept. I been mining on taxi.allpoolz.com for abit and have noticed that network hashrate has steadily been declining since yesterday?? Are you devs not interested in getting this concept off the ground?

566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 1GH.COM - MMC / PTS / MAXCOIN Pool on: February 08, 2014, 05:33:43 AM
^ Check the homepage of the pool whose thread you are reading.  Roll Eyes

edit:

this looks like the same thing uploaded already that looked like malware
its raping all my time and energy scanning all the fucking cgminer files that people "find"
and no one will ever own up to where they found them or who compiled them..
they last one i seen had a dll that was embedded and a virus and it looked EXACTLY like this one on the main page..
so.. i am very suspicious that even if this is clean then this is prob the guy who uplaoded all the others last few days.
i guess i yet again have to drop what i am doing and check this shit..

i have detected a LOT of *NEW malware first across the net.. i'm good at it lol
i can show endless examples too to back my mouth up.. such as malware on P2P sites all related to crypto..

did you guess check it before running it ? if not that is dumb.. i have watched malware keyloggers get posted in here lots
and i know guys that have been cleaned out here.
Don't tell me you uploaded to VirusTotal either because that means fuck all. AV software is sketchy at best
all they do is detect a percentage of KNOWN malware and have weak huerteristics.
Wow.. dude you need to relax.. take a chill pill, or put a tin hat on.
567  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC Robot - Worlds First Bitcoin Robot on: February 01, 2014, 05:18:51 AM
I like the BTCRobot. definitely still a little buggy. For example, right now my robot (Gold package) is posting the wrong balances of USD and BTC and does not match the Balances on my BTC-e account, this may seem like it's not a major problem, but the robot will not make any trades when this happens (this is the 2nd or 3rd time, so I have become aware of the issue), this misses out on trades  Undecided. To fix this issue before they just simply reset my robot, I entered a new API and it immediately started working again. I wish this was something I could do myself and not have to ask support. This way I could also have the ability to deposit or withdraw funds from my BTC-e acct without screwing up the robot.

Support used to be very quick in responding, but now I find it is taking longer and longer to get some help. And sometimes their responses don't have anything to do with your initial issue (it seems like they have a bank of pre-typed responses that they pull from almost).. This is frustrating because, while I believe in the software, they seem to lack the ability to take care of their customers needs easily and efficiently. So I have a dormant $250 Robot (again) for the time being. I already decided to not receive a refund after 60 days and am going on my 3rd month with the robot.

EDIT: I tried deleting the old API and creating a new one and put it on the BTCrobot account, It has now started working again (trying this hasn't worked in the past), at least the amounts are correct for now. Looks like it has resumed trading, but has not made one yet.
I hope they improve in the next versions?

Can it trade other coins like LTC, PPC?
This trading bot is broken.. it never really ever worked for a long period of time properly for me.. I shut it down.. will probably ask for money back.. but I think chances of getting a refund are next to nil. It is quite possible that btc-e.com is causing the problem.. but its btcrobots problem now.
568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GUIMiner-scrypt: A GUIMiner fork for mining scrypt chains on: February 01, 2014, 02:57:43 AM
What error message does it give?  If you have it set to autotune, it takes a while before it actually runs.

Try also:

Code:
"D:\Bitcoin Mining\guiminer-scrypt_win32_binaries_v0.04\cudaminer\cudaminer.exe" -o stratum+tcp://mine.xxxxxx.xxx:3333/ -O xxxxxxx.worker:xxxx -d 0 -i 1 -l auto -C 0 -m 1

It looks like cudaminer had stratum added to it recently

Thank you but I'll have to try it tomorrow. I work weird hours and my bed is yelling my name. Loudly!

I just tried it now and am receiving "json_rpc_call failed, retry after 15 seconds" as well as "HTTP request failed: Failed connect to 127.0.0.1:9332; No error"

I don't have any idea what json is and that IP number isn't in the batch file at all!???

Is there no help here? I'm afraid to run GUIMiner for fear of damaging my equipment, cudaminer doesn't work at all and I can't find anything else.
This program is about as easy as it gets.. if you  cant run this .. I'd just stick to buying litecoins and bitcoins on an exchange.
569  Economy / Economics / Re: Quick way to buy BTC without a long wait???? on: January 25, 2014, 06:22:31 AM
Ya , I can walk to www.getcoincafe.com from my place, or I can stay home and buy it online zero fee and the price is actual, and its instantly recieved. I use btc-e.com to convert btc to altcoins.   I wouldn't bother with btc-e.com due to the time it takes to send USD to the site and  to convert btc to USD, because of the long delay if ever of getting fiat back to my bank. If your in North America.. ya have to wait a long time
570  Economy / Service Discussion / New place to buy bitcoin in NYC... WWW.GETCOINCAFE.COM on: January 20, 2014, 04:52:05 AM
More options to buy bitcoins in the Big Apple.

https://www.getcoincafe.com/       I heard if you pay with bitcoins, the beverages are 50% off!

Before making a pool, maybe OP should fix his coin.. keep getting ' need to upgrade, or other nodes need to upgrade. "  I followed the link to the newest exe and its still saying to upgrade.. WTF?
573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin-Qt / bitcoind version 0.8.6 released on: December 23, 2013, 04:44:43 PM
I have a 64 bit OS.. when is the 64bit executable going to be released? I believe version 0.9  . What risk is present if I wait?
I don't think it makes sense to wait for 0.9 if your goal is risk minimization. Better to just go with 0.8.6.

0.9.0rc1 will be more risky when it is released, after all it contains a lot of new features and changes which have not been as extensively tested as the 0.8.x series. This will need some time to settle down too.

Well I wouldn't have worried about problems but in the release news it states 'Warning
-------

- There have been frequent reports of users running out of virtual memory on 32-bit systems
  during the initial sync.
Hence it is recommended to use a 64-bit executable if possible.
A 64-bit executable for Windows is planned for 0.9.'

so a 64 bit exe would be appropriate for a 64 bit OS?
574  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC Robot on: December 22, 2013, 07:36:01 AM
This bot is somewhat useless.. as the previous user says.. it basically has 3 trading styles.. conservative, keeps very little currency in bitcoins mostly usd.. medium risk, splits your currency almost 50/50 btc, usd. and aggressive, buys bitcoins right away regardless of value of bitcoins.. hardly ever sells them even if the value of btc goes down. really its a useless bot. if anything upsets the markets, this bot just follows the charts down like a rock, and when value is going up , you will lose half of the true value that bitcoin goes up. again if you leave it in conservative mode, you would hardly ever gain bitcoins.

im ready for a refund .. im not impressed.

Which 64 bit OS?

64-bit executables are available for OSX and Linux.  Windows is coming soon.

I have Windows 7, waiting for  X64 version, my biggest concern is the risk in waiting..

Sp0tter:
Your allchains.info Difficulty and Hash Rates sections are broken, at least with respect to LTC.

It should be fixed now.  I also added the market price for Coinbase for btc.

It seems to be broken again, current diff is 2218 and it still shows 1965

Thanks for your useful page!

The total Network Hashrate for Litecoin is still way off.. its presently at 79gh and alchains is representing it at 60 gh which hasn't changed in 2 days.. broken??

Why is my bfgminer closing immediately after I open it?  I have been using it for months and didn't have this problem...
Same problem here.. BFL gear working fine with version 3.6.0 bfgminer, as soon as I upgraded to 3.8.0 the program opens then immediately closes and doesn't run. Same OS and environment, Win 7. hope there is a fix in the newer version.
