561  Economy / Speculation / Re: The price of bitcoin and where it's headed on: August 26, 2017, 12:20:09 PM
There's no certainty in the price of Bitcoins which is the best advantage we have because we may gain more and more investors to invest in this for their profit purpose and everyone gets the advantage of price hikes in fewer times than expected. Just imagine that even at current prices, miners are now able to ROI in just 3 months (those would have already done in terms of USD values who bought it during the start of the year). It could head to 10k, 100k or even a million but it will never go down because it has become a habit for everyone to use it in their daily activities from gambling to spending it for buying something to trading.
562  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are you using bitcoins for? on: August 26, 2017, 11:08:34 AM
I am using Bitcoins to grow my capital in terms of fiat because the value of Bitcoins is uncertain. Some people called it a disadvantage and are now asking me how to invest into this, though it is now very difficult for them to buy it at such high prices. I sell them only when I need fiat in hard situations, else saving is the best thing that I am learning as well as using Bitcoins for.
563  Economy / Speculation / Re: So where exactly are we in the bubble? on: August 26, 2017, 10:56:58 AM
It doesn't look alike what you are imagining in your mind because unless we see $5000 broken, I will never even think of a bubble being set up.
The prices tend to break $3600 more than 2 times but they managed to get over $4200 and after that, SegWit activated. Do you really think we have no causes to be at this crazy level?
564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The OFFICIAL SegWit Activation Thread on: August 24, 2017, 01:29:53 PM
The SegWit that got activated has nothing to do with the increase in block sizes, so what they will be doing is they will try to compress the actual sizes of all the transactions and include more transactions in that block before it gets released over the network. Correct me here if I am wrong. Well, congratulations to everyone and it looks like party time but we still need to focus more on the fees that are also spiking up in different wallets as well as some transactions which are spending regular fee as shown in blockchain wallets are taking days to confirm or not confirming at all.
565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When ETC will rise on: August 19, 2017, 07:09:22 PM
ETC looks like holding high price atm (in terms of btc) and it has no reason to go higher till the levels you are expecting, unless some whales go mad over it and pump it 5 - 10 folds just like they are doing with other alt coins as you can already notice over Bittrex. You should exit ETC atm and try out some different coins that are still cheap over the markets and can be pumped anytime soon.
566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Getting started with sports betting! on: August 19, 2017, 06:53:15 PM
I simply follow tipsters such as Joca97 & CarlesPuyol to bet on any website because their tips are awesome and I follow them every time they post a tip here and most of them are win. I haven't gambled too much before I started following them and due to them, I make different kinds of bets on different sports and win mostly.
567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many Bitcoins needed for martingale on: August 19, 2017, 06:26:30 PM
Martingale had been one of the worst techniques I've ever tried gambling over dice sites. Even with your mentioned minimum bet, the loss sequence can cross levels where you may find yourself unsuitable to bet and until you realise, you could have already lost too much over the automated betting and that's how house eats your bankroll.
568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin WILL become one world currency. Matter of when, not if. on: August 19, 2017, 03:00:49 PM
And don't forget that without proper scaling/upgrade, bitcoin will left behind and altcoin could beat bitcoin in technology, community, adaption or how many merchants which accept it.

Nope, I don't see anything beating Bitcoins yet. Bitcoin Cash is the best example and an answer to your statement because BCH, even being in existence is trying to give a hard competition to Bitcoins but hasn't been successful yet as miners are still mining over the Bitcoin network and no matter if BCH goes more profitable on mining, I feel that Bitcoin will still hold the number 1 position forever. Bitcoin is, and will always be the global currency that has removed all the boundaries fiat has stabbed in our lives.
569  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC continue to raise by end of the month on: August 19, 2017, 01:27:53 PM
BTC can definitely hold 4k past many dumps that tried to take it down below that level but it looks like it will take some time to reach 5k until the end of this month because if it goes, it will be a pure pump and we don't need that. Let's go steadily and wait for some more time as SegWit2x drama has come up and everyone is talking about a second fork to take place (possibly) in November. It will certainly reach 5k until the end of this year.
570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin cash pump on: August 19, 2017, 12:58:26 PM
It's not just 40% OP, it started rising from 0.068 and went till 0.244 which is a ~400% increase in the price and it all happened because miners saw that profitability is increasing day by day at a slower pace in BCH. I am getting scared now that if Bitmain decides to start supporting BCH and if they start mining it instead of BTC, what will happen! It is still continuing its rally and Korean traders are showing extreme support for BCH, now let's see where this clutter stops.
571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Cash Is Now More Profitable to Mine Than Bitcoin on: August 18, 2017, 06:52:26 PM
Bitcoin cash's surge above $500 today is changing more than just the the net worth of its investors and users. The rising price is also creating the incentive for miners to dedicate computing power to the bitcoin cash blockchain, one that could find them moving away from bitcoin. With the new push, bitcoin cash miners are making around 2% more mining on bitcoin than they do on bitcoin cash. And that spread could further increase with an upcoming adjustment on bitcoin cash that will make it even easier to mine.

I hope the price of BCC can offset the BTC price as soon as possible, because I see the BCC network is faster and fresher than the BTC network that has been too slow for BTC performance, by the way I also feel the advantages of this proud BCC increase Wink

Actually, the BCC network is currently much slower. It takes approximately an hour to get 6 confirmations, whereas the BTC network takes just minutes. Continue reading that article on Coindesk and you’ll see they reference the network speed of each. As of now, it really isn’t more profitable just yet for miners, but it will be very soon if the value trend of each continues.

I think you mean it takes 30 to 60 minutes to get one confirmtion on BCH network, and on BTC network it takes an hour to get 6.

Is that what you meant to say? Unless I am missing someting, BTCisn't confirming every few minutes.

I thought they already took all of the block time confirmations into account when figuring out the price calculation, are you saying they aren't?

No, I meant what I wrote. It took my last BCH transaction a little over an hour to get 6 confirmations. on BTC it takes me about 10 minutes. And yes, they took into account the confirmation times, which is the reason why it isn't yet more profitable. I think once the BCH network difficulty drops the next time, is when it will be more profitable.

You are correct as I also checked there and they are mentioning everything based on last n blocks mined. BCH's trading is catching fire now as Korean traders are buying hard on their exchanges (read about this on CCN in a recent article). It couldn't surpass BTC in terms of value whatsoever, but I think that as an alt BCH proved that it could survive and give better results over BTC if given a preference some time in the future.
572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it worth to buy Waves now? on: August 18, 2017, 06:31:47 PM
Waves is a stable investment and a long term one tbh. If you are intended towards waiting and can hold till you double, then no doubt Waves is such an invest-worthy asset for everyone to try their hands on. I am currently having 100 Waves and holding them for a very long them until they go ten folds.
573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Favorite type of gambling? on: August 18, 2017, 05:41:48 PM
Roulette has been one of the most popular games that I like to play because it suits my gambling criteria and always gets me out with wins (in most chances). Sports betting is also my favorite and I follow tipsters here such as CarlesPuyol and Joca97 to bet as their record in this field is mind-blowing.
574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we still gambling while we always lose? on: August 18, 2017, 03:13:57 PM
It's the nature of human that keeps them coming every time they lose. They come back with the expectation of getting their loss back by betting more than what they lost and such GREED makes them lose more (if they lose again). Even if they win after their loss, they don't stop and keep trying their luck repeatedly which makes them lose in the long run.
575  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should people invest in bitcoin? on: August 18, 2017, 02:43:06 PM
I hope mine would be the best answer on this:

  • Volatility - Bitcoin is volatile just like any other assets, as well as Gold and the specialty, is that we control it.
  • Decentralization - It is not under anyone's control which makes it so special because it cannot be traced and you can do everything anonymously.
  • Knowledge-worthy (Learn & earn) - Students can take the advantage of bitcoins by investing in it and learning the facts about how it works, its blockchain system as well as earning side by side by holding them for a longer duration.
  • Demand & Supply - The current circulation of Bitcoins is ~16.4 million atm and it will take miners to mine all of them till 2040 (assumption) and the demand is increasing too much against its supply which will help boost the value of bitcoins in a short time.
576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So has Roger Ver dumped his BTC for BCC yet? on: August 12, 2017, 07:12:07 PM
that thing between these two was more of a joke not a real thing. and i am sure nobody would dump bitcoin for BCC even Roger Ver himself. bitcoin is way too valuable, established and rising to give up. it is not a random pumped altcoin that you know is going to fall at some point. it is a solid rise which will only continue up in long term.
with BCC, it doesn't matter how good he thinks it is, the future of it is shaky at best.

Well if he didn't, then what the fuck is this?
https://blockchain.info/tx/2248452e2122ff2d446565462cac276bbc8420c5874695a9b5c8e3bca8afa2b2
Are these coins moved to Ver's own wallet itself or they sold them for BCC?
We should ask that whether they dumped their "BCC" for BTC at exchanges yet?

What are those?

According to this:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/60ozkh/rogerver_lets_make_a_deal_1_for_1_trade_at_least/

Looks like this links back to the Loaded-Ver thread and these are Loaded's coins, not Ver's.

So looks like Loaded moved all these coins into another address and no additional information on this move is to be found as far as I can tell.

Looks like you are correct because neither Loaded nor Roger Ver declared anything about this transaction.
And sometimes I also think that Roger Ver is not that stupid to go all in with his BTC for BCC's support or we could have seen some moves in BCC which is getting dumped daily. I don't know why they come up with such techy ideas that frustrate and create FUD amongst the whole community? What difference did they create after launching BCC? Didn't even show an 8 mb block yet.
577  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoint will reach 4.000$ or not? on: August 12, 2017, 06:57:55 PM
Looks like OP's a babe who's trying to hide their private parts and will reveal them once Bitcoin reaches their "target" of 4k USD. (/jk)
It is currently $3900 (at the time of writing this) and I don't think we are too far from that 100 usd jump to see Bitcoins above 4k USD, so enjoy OP your target is going to be reached soon.  Tongue
578  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I am Buying BITCOINS on: August 12, 2017, 06:37:54 PM
Born without a sense of smell... yet this stinks so badly of a scam. It cured my smell disorder.

I love the cautious i'm-sending-first approach. Probably afraid of being red tagged on first post.

But there is a sinister modus operandi behind all this. It's the unwritten part embedded within the all caps line above. When contacted, they will definitely not send first.

Not just do they smell like a scamster-puppet but they also sound too wise in their words for showing kindness by sending PayPal first and even if someone falls for this, let me show you how it all works out for them:
1. You ask them for PayPal and being very kind, they send you first.
2. You send them BTC.
3. They claim a chargeback and tell PayPal they sent you PayPal for something else and you gave them BTC.
4. Voila! Funds and BTC both gone and you are fucked.
579  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is this for real? I could be a millionaire? on: August 12, 2017, 06:30:40 PM
OP, your name says that you woke up too late and I think you have given an answer to your question yourself that you have committed the biggest mistake by not purchasing those Bitcoins during 2010. Wish I would have got such an offer by someone during that time-phase.
580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ❤[ANN] [ICO] [WAVES] Just Dating Site (JDS) [Bounties]❤ on: August 12, 2017, 06:20:51 PM
Everyone needs not to be alone. ICO will give people more opportunities to find a life partner. Simpathy is not the same as just matching people interests. It is the long way from matching and communicating to the date. JustDatingSite.com will make it happen. ICO will make JustDatingSite.com happen.

How will the blockchain help your project?

We will create the first partner program for dating sites wich will pay in cryptocurrency for traffic. I believe that many webmastters will work witch us. Thus our dating site will be very popular in the nearest future.

Will you pay in BTC?

We will pay in JDC

Some webmasters prefer fiat money. What will you plan to do with them?

They need to pay their webmasters through JDC apparently because they will be using the same for advertisement purposes too, else what is the meaning of launching their own coin?
