Oh nice, you are all together in BSFL Alcoholics Anonymous meeting again?
Watch out for Cryptofrkone and dont let him experiment to much with strong beverages from Estonia  Grin

We closed all of their bars again with only 1 minor injury to report - a head bang on the floor in injury time. Not by me, I'll let the player revel himself if he wants to Grin
Balkan mafia cleaned out the poker tournaments but spent all the money we won - this was a shitty weekend to bet.

All in all, a great trip, productive meetings with SB and now the work continues. They love what you all helped create in this thread so we'll keep on building&expanding.

Questions later tonight, we just got home. League tables almost certainly tomorrow, Atletico - Barcelona just started and I have no clue in which status golf is - probably won't be finished by midnight.

Holy hell, this should not happen to a top team having a corner kick in the 120th minute of the game.
Poorly done by both Diaz and Elliott - these kind of errors are always super expensive.

United rewarded with a great semifinal draw - they play Coventry while City and Chelsea battle it out for the other finalist.

I graded the Europa League question but you know the drill when we're on a trip - doublecheck your result Grin

Small laptop screen, a few beers too many, a few hours of sleep too little..

Sooo fellas, I tried to rate the Thursday's EL/Conference question, but decided against it. It was a semi-rough night and I really need some sleep, I would probably mess it up anyway.
A tight schedule with SB tomorrow, so it will probably be graded in the evening.

I managed to see that I won the point against slaman29 though Grin

Bitcoin's price jump gave the prize pool quite a boost in season 3! And you guys increased the cup rewards quite a bit, right? Couldn't find the old overview now, but I think that's cool! 8 mBTC for the winner isn't pennies! Good job guys!

In $ terms yeah, but in mBTC I think the Cup is where it was last year. Percentage-wise it's a bit bigger part of the rewards, yeah.
The Cup is extremely difficult to win so we want to give it an elite feel as well.

I'm not sure if it's me or did Trofo and cryptofrka started writing more difficult questions?

Nah, some weird results happened. It will probably balance itself out by the end of the week.
Then again, there are rounds with an average of 3 correct results and there are rounds with an average of 5.

Wherever we ask questions, we always try to make it as close to 50-50 as possible. Or 4x25% if there are 4 possible answers.

We're both on a trip this week, so there might be some delays in our answers here.
The questions will be live on Sunday, maybe a bit later than usual though - depending on our flight schedule.

I just saw the highlights and it was really a spectacular game.
If Luton gets relegated, this just might be the game that decided it. Crazy to lose such a lead in such an important game.

The break is coming at the right time for us, the next PL game is 2 weeks away.
I hope we get some players back by then, we won't be able to keep winning with kids forever.

Damn, Ulven with 2 correct results yesterday. Well done man, you are now 4,5 points in the lead.
If only Inter could have held on, I had 1-1 and would be in front now.

To be honest, it was weird seeing that Superbru didn't take 2-1 as the correct result before ET ended. I always forget they calculate it like that - I'll need to take that into consideration before the next round of games.

buwaytress is still asleep but I think I retain my 2nd place in the Pot B after Borussia's win yesterday. All in all, looks like this will be a profitable pool for me.
569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 10000$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: March 13, 2024, 07:20:46 PM
That's a pretty sweet prize pool! You basically have to be top14 for Div1 and top12 for Div2 to get your money back, can't beat that in any league around here  Grin

Yeah, as Trofo said, in H2H competitions it's important to keep players active.
When there's a few mBTC's to play for for every person until the last round, the competitiveness remains.

The problem is of course Division 3 as you saw yourself - the rewards are low so people don't care much. Therefore we have big playoffs so that the driver is that you play until the end for your promotion chance.

____________________

The bad thing is that you don't have these '50 mBTC' huge rewards for the winner.
To battle that, we do have something new we plan to add in BSFL's Season 5. It's a side competition for pure degen gamblers, we will introduce it during the Euros. The winner of that one will walk away with a bigger prize than BSFL champion.
570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 10000$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: March 13, 2024, 05:47:53 PM
OK fellas, this season's rewards have been calculated and will be added into the OP.

Percentage-wise, Division 2 rewards have increased a bit compared to Division 1 in Season 4, that is because Division 2 charges a fee as well.

Total rewards are over 10.000$ (according to current BTC price), and there is an extra 2.160$ to be won in freebets.

There is an additional 16 mBTC left for the Cup.

The rewards for the Cup will be:

1st place - 8 mBTC
2nd place - 4 mBTC
3rd place - 2 mBTC + 50$ freebet
4th place - 2 mBTC
5th - 8th place - 50$ freebet

So, in total 154 mBTC and 2.410$ in freebets.

A big budget, thanks again to Sportsbet for being a great partner and making it happen.
571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 10000$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: March 13, 2024, 11:58:56 AM
Ah that is good to know as that does change a few things in terms of submission strategy I guess and the season is still quite long. At some point one might literally be forced to wait and forgo the chance to win free bets due to early submission.

Yup, the general idea was to give you the chance to balance - in case you want to hunt freebets and submit early, there's always VAR that you can use. But use that strategy too much and you might be without one when you need it the most.

I'm in the lead but still a lot of different answers left. I need this win - Division 2 is so beneath me.

Regained my 1st position before today's games, hopefully I increase the lead.
Why am I in front of Ulven considering that we're on equal points? What are the differentiators?

Dont teach him your dirty math.
He is one of the last honest pool managers in this forum and you are trying to corrupt him.

Nah, in this case his math works in my favor. He's already joined the dark side.

...or even from the final (as that's lumped with the Semifinals).

Perhaps the final will just be an outright selection on MD10. Or I make up some odds for 2nd leg, final games, but add some "buway bu-oost extra" on top to make them attractive.

OR...

We introduce a Matchday 11 just for the final. Allow people the chance to save stakes from MD9 and MD10, to use them up on MD11. One final chance for people to snatch prizes, with all kinds of markets available to put 10 stakes on. That will probably be more complicated and make people upset (and make joker_josue work harder), so I'll have a think about it, you guys will just have to put up with the confusion, and forgive my oversight =D

If you want to group semis and the finals, that's actually easy to do. You'll have outright odds for the winner and that can be used - covers it all.
Then again, buway bu-oost extra sounds way more fun than picking outrights.

How to use VAR?  Embarrassed

You have 3 per season, you just send a DM (Telegram works too) to Trofo or myself before the submission deadline. It allows you to change an answer to a specific question.
We introduced it specifically for situations like this one, where we want to include a major event but where it's impossible to be 100% sure that the question will still be 100% legit before the deadline.

It is meant to give a minor advantage to those that are active and are tracking upcoming events as well.

Cro2 did you get my DHL package? Dirty, used notes, as requested. Sorry Chi20, I had to do it.

We did, but we received another one as well. It said only 'buwa to lose'.
Not sure whether it was from chi20 or the Chinese gambling mafia, but it was significantly bigger than yours. Sorry mate.

Sponsorship funds (106 mBTC) have been received, I will make the rewards distribution latest tomorrow. Probably today.
The budget for Season 4 is 154 mBTC.

So... I'm confused, now that an event has happened, without me mentioning, should I use a VAR now as everyone who submitted will want to use VAR @Cro2?

I waited for it to end, although I wasn't expecting this. We have some VAR's already, not that many. The day is still young though.
Considering that you're playing against me, there's no sense for you to use VAR. You'll lose anyway and this way you can keep it for the moment you'll truly need it.

Hey man, I saw you didn't use VAR. Obviously this was a joke Grin
Why didn't you take it?

We have a lot of different answers so it might not be important, but if I was you I wouldn't hesitate for a second here.

EDIT: you sent to Trofo, sorry about that. Changed Smiley
578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏆Rollbit.com | Champions League Pool | $11,000+ in Prizes ⚽️ Discussion Thread on: March 12, 2024, 01:51:13 PM
Just to mention to everyone, I'm still not sure how the Final 2 matchdays will look like -- but I think I will put Pot B submissions slightly different, featuring 1x2 markets for the first leg games, and different markets for the 2nd leg+ final games.

This means 20 more total stakes to bet with?
I expected to have 50 left (10 per each QF and SF round and 1 for the final).

Not sure how we'd pick anything from return games before we know the results from the 1st games.

Or did I understand something incorrectly?

I was in a worse condition at this point last season and still managed to finish in the top 5 without using any chips. If I were in your position, I would take the bet every day of my life without hesitation. Sometimes we bet just for fun.

If you're that good, take the bet that you'll be in the top 15 this season.
It's even easier than what you gave me, half of the people outside top 10 aren't probably even playing anymore.

2mBTC? Don't chicken out now Grin

If you weren't afraid of the "bad" players in the second chance league, you'd be there now, but you aren't. What does this tell you?

1. You don't know what you're doing.
2. You're a very bad gambler.

Depends on how many people are there. If it's like 10 then yea, I'll wipe my team and join.
If it's like 3 or 4 of us, I'll stick with trying to get the top spot in the other league I'm playing with friends for merch, food and booze.
