561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best CPU Mineable Coins in 2018 and CPU Mining Guides on: July 17, 2018, 11:27:41 PM
JSEcoin has just started it's ICO phase.
The webminer is running, you can CPU mine directly from your browser on any PC.
Another option is to integrate miner in your website instead of showing adsense adds.
Offcourse user consent is required first.

Whoever did your Bulgarian translation ripped you off.
It's a machine translated with very slight human editing.
If you want to make it right, write me.

It seems that some of the big miners have left the pools in the last month.
At present, the difficulty level is decreasing and my output is increasing remarkably.
Perhaps some miners no longer believe in this project or have turned to a more valuable coin since the WEB dropped to ~ 20 sts.
I personally believe in the future of the WEB so I will continue to exploit and maintain a continuous WEB node.
Hope your work is still good, dev!

Yes, they moved to Bittube - a youtube version paid for views with crypto (no ICO, no premine)
but looks a bit scammy right now.

and JSE coin - a web minable coin which can replace Adsense (but has ICO)

However Webchain is younger and when difficulty gets low,
this presents a perfect opportunity to mine and make profit while the others are jumping from coin to coin!
564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GTX 1060 discussion thread on: July 16, 2018, 11:29:22 AM
I see people suggesting lyra2z but every calculator I used saying eth is best

If you benchmark your card's power usage and productivity on different algos,
you can insert more accurate numbers in the calculators. But in general they are correct.
And remember that profit which calcs show is based on current crypto price.
And your actual profit is based on the price at which you sell.
565  Economy / Economics / Re: Why exchanges do not pay interest? on: July 16, 2018, 11:25:15 AM
There are no exchanges that pay interest for your cryptocurrency in today's market conditions and i don't think they need to pay as they are not similar to the banking services where people get interest on the annual or monthly basis. I think if there is anything serious about interest rates then you can expect the interest charge to be levied in upcoming months.

Well the money i have in a bank are on a termless deposit.
They are there for unlimited amount of time.
Yes, the interest is the smallest one compared to 6 months or 1 year term deposit.
But there is still an interest.

I'm not a financial guru, but I know that banks use
it's customer's money to do all type of investments,
loans and trading from which the bank is making a profit.

To pay you for giving them this opportunity,
they pay you an interest.

If we accept that crypto stored in an exchange for unlimited term,
then it is very logical that you should receive some % of
the exchange's profit. You are basicly funding the exchange.

Yes, banks charge you for keeping you account alive, which exchanges don't.
However banks have physical offices, a website, ATMs, they issue cards, they pay taxes
they have 24/7 support and they insure your money.
And still they pay you interest.

Exchanges have just a single website with a support and no interest.

Hey, maybe it's an idea for a new era crypto exchange Wink

If someone likes my idea, I'll be happy to share the rest
of my toughts on this.

566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Storj - Decentralized Storage on: July 16, 2018, 04:52:24 AM
Thanks for the info, I added myself too.

Can anyone help me with loging in to the Storj Community website?
I get: User account has not been activated when i try to login
When i try to reset my password there is only an error.
Posted 3 times to the support and nobody replied.
567  Economy / Economics / Re: Why exchanges do not pay interest? on: July 16, 2018, 04:27:38 AM
if i have only an account, how come i can check the deposits and withdrawals
without even logging in it?

Why the coins are withdrawed several seconds after that?

I also have a bank account and i know that my money do not sit ina thick steel box.
They just withdraw it from a big pile they USE to make even more money,
for which they pay you interest.

So far nobody was able to tell me why exchanges use money without interest.
568  Economy / Economics / Re: Why exchanges do not pay interest? on: July 16, 2018, 04:14:37 AM
I suspect you did not understand my point.
Let me try differently: THEY USE OUR MONEY TO TRADE FOR FREE!

Why normal banks PAY interest when they use your money,
but crypto exchanges don't?
569  Economy / Economics / Why exchanges do not pay interest? on: July 16, 2018, 01:18:17 AM
Today I wanted to check my ETH amount in an exchange.
However, due to laziness to enter all the passwords and 2FA etc,
I decided to just check my exchange ETH address via ETH explorer.

I copied it and pasted in in an explorer and what I saw amazed me:

Balance:   0.00013284416 Ether

There should be atleast 2 ETH!
I checked the transactions below and saw that RIGHT after an incomming transaction happens,
another outgoing transaction empties my exchange wallet!

I logged in right away to the exchange and the coins were there!

Does anyone know, how come exchanges use our money for their own things
but they don't pay us interest? Or is there an exchange, which pays interest?

What is the optimal temperature of the processor I have 70-75 degrees processor i5-3570 load 100 percent in

the max temp on Intel is 90-95c before throttling and thermal shutdown.
the max temp on AMD is 65-70c before throttling and thermal shutdown.

Since you are running it for extended periods of time,
I would recommend to keep it below 70.
The easiest trick is to slow it down to 90% using windows advanced power settings.
Harder tricks include buyng an aftermarket cooler or undervolting slightly.

Consider also the heat which will take all the MB capacitors around the CPU.
You can add an exhaust fan to help cooling.
571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Storj - Decentralized Storage on: July 14, 2018, 10:02:03 PM
lmao holy shit is this coin still around?!  i used to hear this coin was going to change the fucking crypto world, blahblahblah, had 1 or 2 pumps, then disappear ever since then (like so many projects lol).  sooooooooo i see it is still dead eh? too bad.

We're going through a cleansing period I guess, with so much beat down in prices we'll see which projects will survive, which dead ones will be reborn later as phoenixes and which will stay dead.

But about STORJ, is there any kind of calculator for profits? How much would someone be making for offering 500GB?

I shared a 500gig drive since January. Payout so far is 2 Storj per month. The max allocated space I've seen is 14 gb.
The two Storjs are payed regardless of the size of stored data. They pay so you can cover your hard drive's electric cost.
Maybe if you have a 6TB drive, then you coulld get more.

Hello Miners! Which pool do you prefer and why?

I tried pinging the pools listed on the first page,
but I guess they have some protection so I don't get any ping replies.

Official pool has 1% fee, while others have 0.5%.
However official pool pays at 10WEB, while community pools pay at 1WEB.

Please share your two WEBs (cents).

Good project with good team ..I wish for you a big future

Many thanks for your support. Your attention to the project is a very strong incentive for cryply. to become even better.

Good idea, i'll add parameter --doublecheck to make CPU re-check the share, like Claymore 10.

i ordered a A8 APU on socket FM2 to make JCE compatible with APUs

Thanks! You're the most hard working dev around here Smiley

Webchain has the possibility to replace visual website adds with web mining.
I can see a lot of dev activity here and very quick start for the coin. This
usualy means a lot of hard work. I hope that you will continue
same way and we, the community will support you best way we can.
Are there ay plans of distributing the premine for exchanges or bounties?
578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GTX 1060 discussion thread on: July 05, 2018, 03:13:11 PM
Tried to search on different topics and blogs and couldn't find the exact results.

So, what is the hashrate of GTX 1060 on different algos? Especially on Ether.

I currently run my cards on windows.
Card: Powercolour gtx 1060 6g (hynix)
Miner: ethminer 0.15.0.dev4
Hashrate: 23.55 Mh/s (each)
Temperature: 58
Coin: ETC/ETH

I used some powerlimit and clock options in afterburner.

I've never seen Hynix pass the 20.5 barrier. How did you chieve 23.55 on Hynix mem?

github wallet download is not working (stops at 2%) Do you have any mirrors?

Which wallet isn't working for you?
I could upload a mirror if you need.
but pls specify.

If you have problems to sync pls check this article https://iop.global/backup-your-wallet-and-resync/

Thanks for the reply. I thinkg it was a temporary Github slow down. An hour later it downloaded normaly.
580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] JSEcoin on: July 04, 2018, 01:45:25 PM
Hi care2yak, we have done a fix for the pausing issue. If you restart the app completely from the taskbar or by restarting your PC it should work.

Whotheff,
Question 1: I noticed that JSE is a UK based and registered company. How will Brexit influence it in 2019?
I can't see Brexit having a big influence on our project. In theory EU regulations wont apply to the UK any more but neither the EU or the UK are regulating the cryptocurrency space at present. At the moment it is working in our favour because the government are so preoccupied with Brexit they aren't interferring with cryptocurrency/ICO's etc. Worse case scenario if they put negative legislation in place would be we would need to move the company to an offshore safe haven but at the moment there's no sign or plans for that happening.

Question 2: How are you planning to decentralize the (currently centralized) coin?
The code is already written in https://github.com/JSEcoin/server/blob/master/modules/p2p.js to run as a decentralized network. However at the moment the risk to reward ratios for full decentralization just aren't there so we use ECDSA signatures to verify internal trusted nodes. The network is still running at relatively low volume and a 51% attack would be fairly easy to carry out for an attacker if we didn't do this. Assuming nothing changes politically then we will remain running the nodes internally until it becomes possible to decentralize further. We have a unique opportunity in this project that we already have simultaneous mining connections from tens of thousands of devices. I think in the future rather than run the consensus algorithm on the servers it would be better to use these devices themselves to reach consensus rather than server based nodes. This is the direction I would like to take the project but it is very reliant on volumes. I've seen reports in the media about botnets comprised of quarter of a million devices, we would need our network to be larger than the biggest bot net and improved fraud/bot detection systems to prevent misuse.

Thanks for the reply! You brought a lot of light onto the coin's future and proved there are real plans, real people with real intentions behind this.
I also believe computing power will be very valiable in future and half of the online banners will be replaced by JSE web mining  I'll write about JSE in my blog and add it to my crypto website.
