Dont understand much about how these NEM nodes will work but basically i dont know where the 70K of NEM per day comes from?

It comes from you.

The "core team" on telegram decided to treat all the phoney accounts and socks as real, and decided to control those shares for themselves. (It is all about control with these guys. Halt deine Scheißfresse!)

It is similar as if you  hired a contractor to work on your home and he told you there he needed 10 men to do the job. But when he gets there there are 2 men. But, he still want's you to pay for the "ghosts" anyway.

Only about 25% of xem is in the public domain. The rest is controlled by a few in the "core team".
That is where the funds for the node rewards, silver coin scam, etc come from.

I'd like to hear why you wen't full retard all of a sudden. Care to elaborate what tipped you over ? (I'd genuienly like to hear)
Just deleting your posts and github repos with usefull stuff isn't exactly a nice way to go. If you think NEM sux and want to get away as far as possibel so be it....just don't be a dick about it.

Also nice FUD about the silver coins.

Wouldn't any number of XEM suffice then instead of the 3 million? The work alone discourages the setup of multiple nodes. Only wealthy people can join the node reward system with this setup.

In my eyes even people with no money should be able to setup a node.

And I think the aging and the testing of the nodes also protects the creation of multiple nodes from one person.

Someone could setup 100 of nodes and cash out pretty well. You need a minimum. I agree that 3 million is too much though.

Very good idea, with this rewards programme! Just one quick question - can I provide two or more full NIS nodes with one 3mio+ account, or is it strictly bound to one ("rich") account = one (full/harvesting) node ?

If you have 30 million NEM you can get 10 nodes going....at least i think so.

I have already read. also i noticed that you have questions about the payouts. so devs should clarify this subject i think.

Here's the way I understand it.

You need 1 account hat holds at least 3 million XEM.
You need to active delegated harvesting for that account.
You need to boot your node with the remote-priv-key for that account
You need to send an unencrypted message "opt-in" from that account to NAFUNDBUKIOSTMD4BNXL7ZFE735QHN7A3FBS6CMY

That's all you need to do to set things up.

The whole thing is a lottery so there are no guaranteed fixed payouts but there will be many and regular lottery "draws" so most likely everyone will win at some point.

The whole aging thing is prob something noone needs to concern himself with. Best thing is to just set it up and then wait for rewards Smiley

Idea to going public with their indentity is great.
It means a lot for a new investors, that dev's are standing by their project with real indentity

Exactly - that's the other aspect of it that gives investors in this skeptical/cynical crypto climate a lot more confidence. Just look at the history of crypto itself. Some of the biggest gains (at least initially) went to coins with devs who went public. I remember DRK and XC had some of the biggest earliest altcoin surges when their devs went public. People have been burned to often by anon devs on other coins, and many dont understand the tech innovation. But they do understand when an expert in the field is backing things. It matters.

There are people that hate NEM. And I do mean hate. I'm not sure they have proper reason but that's not the point. Going public as being a core dev and decision maker in NEM is like paiting a target on your back and shouting "Come get me".

It would be great for the project but potentially disastrous for the people.
568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Why should anyone (private and commercial) use NEM instead of Bitcoin? on: May 20, 2015, 11:26:36 AM
To make NEM successfull you need to answer the ultimate question. Why should anyone (private NOR commercial) use NEM instead of Bitcoin? If you can answer this, assure everyone about this an spread the word. That's the only way to make NEM successfully and independent.

For once I actually aggree with you Smiley

I don't think Bitcoin has answered that question though. Loads of people jump on it because it's cool right now but there is just about no adoption when you look at the big picture.
All the things that are great about cryptos are things that most people don't care about or deem impossible. So I think already is an answer to that question (and it's similar for all cryptos) but people don't give a damn.

I don't really like. Would there be any reason for them to discredit NEM or do they simply not know any better ?
No research being done ? Like at all ? (Other than the 2 questions they seem to have asked makoto).

I mean I really appreciate that they write about all projects and arent just bitcoiners with a media outlet like coindesk and cryptocurrencynews but somehow I feel like it causes them to not digg deep into those projects.

Any type of media coverage is good and I don't think they really discredit Nem.

People say this often and I think it's completely wrong. Frankly it baffles me why anyone would think that.
If the media states "NEM is way more centralized than other cryptos" - You think that's good publicity ?
When people hear about new projects they will only look at it more closely if they like something about it. If the first thing they here is negative then they won't bother. This is especially true in crypto land since there are way more projects happening than anyone could keep up with closely.

Happend a few days after launch i think.
572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cointelegraph on nems technical reference on: May 19, 2015, 08:51:30 AM

The Coin Herald Bugle is the least reputable cryptocurrency journal (pay-to-play)...
But the NEM Technical Reference is well done has been good for a 15% boost.

Problem is that this is Super-Geek circle jerk material...
It will be many months before an ordinary human being will find anything interesting on NEM.

Sorry, I like NEM and hope it takes off, but that's the current reality  Sad Sad Sad

I find it to be the least circle jerk thing i've seen in quite a bit.
It just states facts instead of promising this revolution or that innovation.

Anway I don't like the article much. There are clearly some missunderstandings. Makes me wonder how much technical background the editors at ct have.

I still don't understand how the vested balance is calculated. This is what happened.

I had 200K fully vested. Then I sent 5K from Poloniex to my account. My vested balance started to increase to about 202K. I decided to sent the 5K back to Poloniex. After I've done so my vested balance has decreased to 194K. How is this possible? It looks like the more you send the lower your POI becomes?HuhHuh??

Taken from the tech reference:

Quote
Whenever an account receives XEM, the new XEM are added to the account’s unvested balance. When an account sends XEM, XEMs are taken from both the vested and the unvested balance, to retain the vested to unvested ratio.
575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread -100% Original Codebase - Over 70 Active Team Members on: May 18, 2015, 08:47:05 AM
Exchanges don't increase their importance score if people move unvested funds there. And usually people send their funds there to sell it, so it gets send out unvested again. If you read NEM Technical Reference (http://blog.nem.io/nem-technical-report/) you should understand that this is not helping the exchange's importance score.

I don't know why people use exchanges as wallets. That is just risky and has zero advantages.

I've been told they do it because it's more convenient. They use it as sort of online wallet. I don't understand why anyone would but appearantly that's it.
576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the most annoying altcoin? on: May 17, 2015, 10:05:34 AM
Do you mean the actual coin (I don't see how one would be more annoying than others) or the community behind it?

White paper just came out and yet I had to goto page 3 to find the NEM thread..

...NEM deaded?   Makoto took all the Makatoes?   Cry  Cry

Sorry what is your question about?

If Taunsew is not on your ignorelist you're doing something wrong Lips sealed
578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEM Technical Reference (White paper) Released!!!!!! on: May 17, 2015, 07:08:44 AM
Wow this white paper is pretty technical. In all my research NEM is the most interesting. I mean POI + talented dev team. It seems like though your community is sort of dead idk. Great paper and I look forward to the new economy's future.

That because it mostly lives on telegram. The majority has abandoned the toxic pit that is btt.

Wow nice coin. Change the password and lost my coin. I like NEM.
Happy I didnt invest too much.

You can't change your password. Whatever you did...you did it wrong.
If you can point me to the "coin" that let's you fuck up your wallet without loosing your coins that would be much appreciated.
580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread -100% Original Codebase - Over 70 Active Team Members on: May 16, 2015, 04:12:00 PM
I got a backup of the adb and wlt file.

I jsut open a new wallet and import them ?

there is no such function yet. If you're sure those backups are proper then you can just overwrite the files in the nem folder or delete the old wallet and adb first and then copy the backup there.
In any event I'm taking no responsibility.
