Don't do it, you could be blackmailed easily.

correct, any asshole can be recording you

Isn't it more like: you can be sure some asshole is recording you. I mean, even if the person you're talking to isn't recording you, you can be sure the NSA/GCHQ/whatever is. For example: http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2014/mar/06/governments-are-spying-on-our-sexual-lives-will-we-tolerate-it.

A small quote from the article:

Quote
With stupendous naiveté, the GCHQ documents declare: "Unfortunately … it would appear that a surprising number of people use webcam conversations to show intimate parts of their body to the other person... (and) it appears sometimes to be used for broadcasting pornography".

what are they gonna do with some low quality video of some guys wacking it?

well they could investigate u.  i downloaded a webcam of a 15 year old wacking it, and now i'm in trouble

that's downloading. so they would have something if you watched the webcam on one of these webcam sites? aren't they supposed to screen the people for age?

i downloaded a torrent over a year ago, and still haven't got my shit back from the police.  they're still going thru my 200's of DVD's everything.  and i don't have shit, i ran "Eraser" on my system.

566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Explanatory video on: July 06, 2014, 05:36:20 AM
I've only discovered Bitcoin a few days ago.  I was shocked to learn that it's been around for more than two years without me hearing about it.  I'm your typical LAMP programmer who spends all his free time in cyberspace reading about currency, the federal reserve, anarchism, technology and stateless societies.  How it took me this long to learn about Bitcoins is really perplexing.

Once I heard of Bitcoin, I spent a while to understand how it works.  I had to read and re-read explanations to really figure it all out.  Since popularity is one of the major hurdles to get over for Bitcoin, and because it can be hella confusing for the layman, ya'll need a easily consumable video explanation for the masses.

I don't know if this topic has been pursued before, but "1/29 Explainers" could help immensely.  They basically take really difficult concepts and turn them into simple videos to share with the public.  This page shows a lot of their work:

http://www.129films.com/explainers/

Just a thought.

EDIT:  Maybe you could pay them with a pooling of some of your BTCs :-)

"typical" LAMP progrmamer.

i tried to get into that stuff a long time ago, but i kept clining to VB.NET for no reason.  that stuff seems harder than before, but it is more invinting than ASP.NET.  i mean PHP

Craig Venter (the inventor) wants to use them to terraform Mars, but if we can terraform mars, we can fix Earth right?

Not sure, but I would think growing and creating an environment from scratch would be easier than fixing one that's already ruined without destroying everything in the process just to get a clean start.

If we can make an organism that can breath Mars air, eat Mars dirt, and spit out Oxygen and water... We can definitely make something that can eat garbage and shit out water or something.

Well we do that kind of with our bodies already too. You can separate garbage from water but you can't change carbon into water, which is the main problem.

If we can figure out how to terraform Mars, we can figure this out.

u plant plants.  duh.  plants take in carbon diaxide (which mars has plenty of).  and spits out water.  and air
