It feels like this whole bitcointalk community is getting too caught up with living up to other projects success levels, instead of focusing on the real opportunities at hand.
If you are more concerned with Lisk achieving Ethereums marketcap at some point than actually developing on the platform itself, this is directed at you....
These platforms are only that, metaphorical "clearings" to build our houses upon. Focus on your house, which will adds value to the clearing (Lisk).
This is the way you win in the digital age - Gtf-up and build something to add value.
Otherside of this, please god, no more ICO's for another "clearing"... deforestation and such... Whatever....

What you need to do to start mining from the wallet?
If you are synced. Just open up the console by going to > Help (on the wallet top bar) > Debug Window.... then in the console type "setgenerate true" (all cores) That is the default which will start all your CPU's cores to mining directly from your wallet. If you want to use your PC at the same time I suggest only using half the cores your processor has. The # Processor cores varies considerably depending on a bunch of factors, I would google yours to be sure. But in my experience I have been okay doing it as such: i3 = 1 or 2 Cores "setgenerate 2 true" i5 = 2 or 3 Cores "setgenerate 3 true" i7 = 3 or 4 Cores "setgenerate 4 true" And the Default "setgenerate true" -- starts all cores. Dont type the " " obviously. Great guide. Yeah, I mean, just do the math. If you mine 50k ESP per day, you're better than going to a pool.
Once I don't find a single block in 2 or 3 days or more, I'll consider a pool.
you're better to not mine at all, because you're losing money, with the huge supply i doubt you can even see 5-10 satoshi for this Eventually, it will get to the point where mined is just a little bit more than electricity. That should stabilize in a few weeks or a few months, maybe. It took bitcoin 6 or 7 years before miners decided to drop. Or get new hardware. I think ESP will have a GPU miner one day. Hopefully not too soon. Then everyone will be mining on GPUs. Depending on how well the coin does, we might see some attempts at FPGAs, or ASICs; those will take a few years. In 9 hours with 60Kh/s I've made 170k ESP Pool Mining instead of risking it for a block or 3 per day solo mining. Luck plays an important factor in this as well with solved blocks. Im averaging 12 blocks a day on my desktop (600k) , running half the cores of my i7 wallet mining... on my i3 laptop running all cores on it im averaging about the same... this has been one of the easiest setups for cpu mining i have ever experienced. Very active dev presence on this thread. And a lot of new hashrate coming in. Even if this coin only has ltc pairings, im going to feel comfortable holding something that took little to no investment of time or money to mine. Keep it up crew! Lets get it on Yolobit and sell to the optimistic scrubs that dont research coins. |

The only thing I have been able to do to get more then 2 or 3 connections or Win7 is just shut the wallet down, delete the Espers.conf in the app data folder. Then run the wallet and add the nodes through the wallet console. Let it run for a couple hours and more connections will slowly follow.  The nodes are handling the massive amount of connections as best as possible. Clearly is still not enough. We are launching more dedicated nodes. Stand by. pool pointing coming to the wallet soon as well. Just give us time. I have 2 windows machines mining just fine on the same network. Wins 10 64 bit... |

I am not going to buy this ICO until there is some new features introduced and diagrammed out in a whitepaper. And I would like real Technical Diagrams. Use cases and work flows please... If you want my money also, presentation should be considered... (spelling / grammar / punctuation).
Lisk merited an ICO because javascript is a top 3 code base on earth...New alg =/= ICO... This is all existing functionality on half of the other (shit) coins out there.... imho its more insecure to allow usernames and passwords.. End of the day still single factor authentication...

I dont see anything ground breaking to merit an ICO...this has went from PnD scams, to just straight up fund my startup that has no real world applications or userbase..... There is no profit for real investors in that, you will fund suckers though.

Edit #2... I like the overall mission, i did read it a second time. But it still sets off way to many alarms to be believable. A/S/L is minimum of all project team members to get my ICO moneys.
Again, you are not wrong to attempt this mission, but why not pledge your 4 trillion to Elon Musk or one of the other visionaries that are actually doing something to help the earth and prevent "climate change" -- please use the correct term....

 I just leave wallet open, and after some times i was sync and ready to mine Took me about 15 minutes to sync... Only 1 active connection ATM. I added the 2 nodes shown in this post to the .conf... not sure if that had an effect but I did it! |
