561  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: October 26, 2014, 11:46:11 AM
I don't think the Coinpiler signature campaign is active.
The OP contains only details of an affiliate / referral program right now.
Are ref campaigns supposed to be included OP??

565  Economy / Speculation / Re: WTF Price? Big move in a short time. BTC Whale is here again...(for buying) on: October 26, 2014, 11:40:39 AM
Don't get too excited. It's just a bug in the coindesk BPI.

Here: http://www.coindesk.com/price/

Check ALL exchanges and you will see that the only one reporting higher price is coindesk BPI.

EDIT: Tick all the boxes and hit update chart Wink

Oh damn, I got excited for the next jump to $2k! Then it will be next month Wink

I am currently using blockchain info

I just want to ask, is there any possibility that blockchain will cease its operation? What will happen to my btc with them?

You can download the backup and import it on multibit, Based on their website they claim they store your wallet in encrypted form if the hacker hacks the website they cannot access your wallet. But my suggestion do not put all your bitcoins in blockchain.info. The best storage for bitcoins is bitcoin core wallet with clean and isolated pc intended for use only for bitcoin.

Thats the thing, most users wont bother doing that as it takes time and knowledge to set up and use properly. I just 2fa all my accounts.
571  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is bitcoin having real value? on: October 25, 2014, 01:45:53 PM
I will pay 300+ USD for a bitcoin.
So you tell me weather it have real value.

Would you still say that if the price on the 4 major exchanges crashed to $100 and stayed there for 2 years?
Ill keep you in mind if that ever happens Cheesy

573  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 777bitco.in not paying on: October 25, 2014, 01:43:05 PM
I haven't claimed a withdraw yet, maybe I should have long ago.. Will do it soon when I reach a bigger amount
574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lower tx fee, but still doable? on: October 25, 2014, 01:41:55 PM
You could also try grouping outputs together for each transaction. That's more cost effective in the long run.
But will increase the TX size in KB which leads to more fees needed for miners. I think thats how it works.
575  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Funny Public Notes:::: on: October 25, 2014, 01:40:49 PM

576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is up and people are like... on: October 25, 2014, 01:39:24 PM
By this time next year, if you will admit it, people will look at you with the mouth gaping open, shocked that you own a whole BTC..! Smiley

I don't know, it doesn't look too good at the moment.
Think what the long term goals can achieve for bitcoin. Short term profit/loss isnt always everything there is to a concept.
577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Found a Major Security Flaw on: October 25, 2014, 01:37:47 PM
Describe the issue simply and ask for a bounty (dont ask for a lot, just what it could poten. save them if you used the bug). Then explain what happened for you to find the bug.
578  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any other sites similar to Circle Bitcoin Exchange? on: October 25, 2014, 01:36:21 PM
A number of sites that cater to US citizens are Coinbase, Kraken, CampBX, CoinMKT and ZipZap. I haven't had any first hand experience with any of these though.
Never heard of coinMKT or ZipZap but have used kraken a couple times. Not a bad site Cheesy
579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A difference of opinions at the Bitcoin Foundation regarding the XBT proposal? on: October 25, 2014, 01:35:31 PM
Having 2 decimal places for the ISO standard makes sense, and it doesn't affect the conversion or other factors.

Just for perspective, there are 1000000 Zimbabwean Dollar notes, so having values like 1000000XBT to represent 0.01BTC isn't too far-fetched.
Then people will get even more confused I think.. 100million will be 1 btc, while 1million seems more logical. I say we go with 1000 mbtcs = 1 btc, not too large not too small, just perfect.
580  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you all idiots? ...or what? on: October 25, 2014, 01:33:43 PM
Wow, there's more aggression and name calling in this forum than most Linux forums I've visited....and that's saying something. LOL  Grin
Unfortunately thats true Sad.
OP: are you buying with bitcoin? I bought the humble bundle once.
