561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Webcoin [WEB] - X14 POW/POS Hybrid - Block Explorer, Stats, and Chat in Wallet! on: August 05, 2014, 06:14:51 AM
Hello?

Is anybody in this thread?

Dev, are you keeping an eye on posts?

Any chance of posting some news about plans or developments?

Hello?

It's a nice wallet - seems to work well, even the Mac wallet works out-of-the-box.

So what's being done about promotion?

Is there anything in particular we can promote on C-CEX friendly chat box? Talking a coin normally stirs some action on the markets & keeps restless investors from running.

Hello-o...

we do need bittrex.

also multisig technology and some applications on blockchain.

I hear what you are saying provenceday but there are two sides to listing on a larger trading board.

On the one hand there is a much larger market, which is a major plus.

It is also a realm populated with pods of killer whales, busily consuming all the little fish.

Unfortunately BitpopCoin is seriously exposed with uncaring or panicky sellers who took the bait offered by traders on C-CEX and sold for a ridiculous 101 satoshi. It will take time and a little effort to rebuild that price to 1K plus. Listing on a larger board at present could see the coin decimated.

This situation will change dramatically if we show signs of activity and development, making the coin attractive to investors but at the moment BPC is just a coin whose rarity value is decaying as we mine towards a half-billion coin supply.

From the community we need a wish list to give guidance of where this coin is going.

One of the stated purposes of the coin is escrow. Good. How do we build trustless escrow into the wallet?

It's also for commerce. Also good - so we need in-wallet currency convertibility and perhaps direct storefront access, could we achieve this?

Firstly we need to compile a community wishlist. Our dev has called for community involvement, lets give it to him.

give it a try with no failover see if it connects

and maybe try this aswell

"pass" : "d=0.1024"
thanks

I have to agree that the supermultipool is reluctant to connect - I've tried the x11 ports ex-Australia and fail to connect with or without failovers.

Um... why?

We already have a trading platform on C-CEX and dumpers are selling down the food chain. How about holding the line at 1K satoshi guys? I spent a few hours past my bedtime slowly feeding the fish and after getting the feeding going left it to you - and someone with no patience and apparently no clue sold down to 700. No way to build value fellas.

How 'bout a little patience and we sell this coin UP, eh? Grin

We sell UP and BitTrex will add on their own.

well, where my coins?

Actually Oldboy, I'm the only one who promised you any coin and you've already acknowledged receipt of those.

Dve, if I were you, I would not add c-cex! ! !  Because you know why!!!

Tell me

Yeah why?

I think he's referring to a bit of a dark disaster - they paid out btc from sales but didn't secure the drk, allowing it to be withdrawn by vendors post sale - then mishandled the situation completely, continuing to trade dark they no longer held, or something to that effect.

If that's the case, how is it they're still up and running?

Apparently still solvent & must've managed to work it out with a coupla drk dealers they'd shorted

Well, Oldboy, you get us on c-cex, today - and demonstrate that it was your actions that made that occur - then I'll toss in 750BPC, bringing my donations for BPC services to an even K.

@Bitpop: don't worry about escrow, this guy's fullovit

we have a hero member dev and good distribution method.

now we need a exchange platform.
I can add this coin to c-cex. how much BPC you can pay me?  Cool PM

But you are not the c-cex admin, so how can you add BPC to c-cex? They vote one coin onto their listings each week.

What would we be paying you for?
I have a secret Smiley
Well, 10000 BPC to my wallet (see signature), and today we are going to c-cex. I promise

Distributed Anon features+multisig+ side chain technologe!

Thanks for responding.

Dark, Cloak and Super spring immediately to mind though, with maybe a sprinkling of Mammoth....

If I might ask, what's your proposed sidechain usage?
you can google bitcoin blockchain2.0 technologe. I use my cellphone to reply this thread.

Thanks Provenceday, I was actually wondering if you had some particular sidechain function in mind already or whether you simply meant the ability to add some unknown functions at a later date.

Multisig should already be supported

you mean bpc blockchain will support multisig?

thanks

Yes that's correct

I gather that means it is supported but not yet available to users?

I am still here and still watching this coin!

@Bitpop! Have you contacted any exchance yet? Please tell us!

BitpopCoin added to #voting list on @AskCoinNet #Exchange https://AskCoin.Net/votes . Please, vote for #BPC #cryptocoin to win.

I'm talking to bittrex right now
I don't believe we need anonymity, those anonymous coins are shunned by merchants and just pump and dumps promoting gimmicks

Edit: corrected timeline

I've been daydreaming at work giving some thought to the question of just what this coin, in fact any coin, is for.

BitpopCoin does not fit the profile of your garden-variety pump-and-dumper. There are no extravagant promises to be fulfilled at some unknown future date. It has no gaudy baubles or shiny distractions, no promise of value through rarity with half a billion to be mined. The staking is quite inflationary at 7% too.

It is attractive for some of us simply because it has a dev with some credentials of trust and integrity, launched smoothly and has so far had an untroubled run. But what is it for?

What is any currency for?

To facilitate trade in goods and services, isn't it? Isn't that what BitpopCoin should proudly stand for?

Since there is already some infrastructure for BitCoin we should take advantage of that. To do so we should have an in-wallet trade facility so that users can convert BPC to BTC on-the-fly to trade with BTC-only merchants. That way we can become the gateway cryptocurrency for users, more prolific and more affordable than BTC, easy to use and a relatively low-risk, low-cost entry into the digital commerce arena. Traders in goods and services in the digital economy can then make it even simpler for new entrants by dealing direct in BPC, knowing they can convert to BTC in a moment through their own wallet and if they choose on to their local fiat currency by whatever means they currently do so.

For these reasons I think we should look at making the wallet a one-stop commerce gateway, even if we need to partner with exchanges or BitPay-type enterprises for the on-the-fly swap to BTC if required.

That's my 2¢.

The floor is open...

really wish this coin give the community something new ,coz we miners are fed up with the shitcoins and scams

And what is your suggested new feature? Devs can't code unknown somethings and our dev has asked for guidance in what this coin community seeks. An in-wallet calculator has been proposed, although somehow that didn't seem to set this forum alight. We (other) miners await your proposal with bated breath Smiley
