561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Forget Bitcoin - Memecoins Like Pepe, FLOKI and Bonk Are the Big Gainers Now on: March 04, 2024, 08:39:57 PM
There is no doubt or dispute about the growth of these meme coins which has been tremendous but again it depends on the kind of investment one chooses because you never know when the meme coins will drop dead like we have seen in the past. I personally would prefer Bitcoin over meme coins anyday because I cannot be bothered to actively monitor the market in the fear or dump.
562  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What cryptocurrency exchange do you recommend for the Colombians ? on: March 04, 2024, 08:12:23 PM
Don't experiment with smaller local exchanges just stick to the top tier exchanges and I would recommend Binance as it's been trusted globally and I have even checked it's pretty famous amongst Colombians as it has wide range of coins listed and also has everything which you look in an exchange be it P2P or not grid or staking an moreover it has already faced numerous challenges and still the number one CEC hence we can trust Binance.
563  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you want slave? on: March 04, 2024, 07:44:28 PM
Regular jobs are biggest modern day slavery as initially you like the comfort and gradually you get trapped and so does your income doesn't quite catch up with the inflation and in order to pay the bills, EMIs you end up being struck there forever. But If you ask some one who don't have a job and struggling for food or someone from war ravaged country it will be like heaven or dream for them to sit and work in an Air conditioned office with company provided snacks so here is the thing it has both good and bad but it's upto us to somehow save something or learn skill and then start something of our own instead of being struck there for ages.
564  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin all time high, is it ETF effects or pre halving cycle on: March 04, 2024, 07:19:59 PM
Bitcoin even crossed $67k and reached $67400 today and if this continues we may even see a new ATH in couple of hours or a day which seemed impossible 6 months ago. I think it will surely happen before the halving and this will send more positive waves across the market I mean buy signals as people will be speculating Bitcoin to hit $100k and once previous ATH is breached people will get more confidence and more money will start flowing in as those who had doubt whether it's a bull run or not will also enter the market.
565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which do you prefer, CEXs or DEXs? on: March 04, 2024, 06:49:09 PM

1. I prefer both CEXs and DEXs as it depends on the requirement, most of the time I prefer CEX due to the liquidity and price but when it comes to experimenting with coins available only of DEX I will prefer DEX.

2. Till recent it was not a concern but now since the government has started cracking down on crypto traders who are using foreign exchange it has become a concern and I am planning to gradually shift to DEX but it will take time not just now.

3. Looking the rate which CEXs has been adopted I don't think DEXs stands any chance of replacing CEXs anytime soon, rather they should first think of competing with CEXs in terms of liquidity and UI.
566  Economy / Speculation / Re: When is next significant correction coming? on: March 04, 2024, 06:26:48 PM
It's getting too unpredictable as the day passes by and I was assuming that we may see corrections before halving somewhere in March and April but if we look at how the Bitcoin has been performing I am doubtful now whether we will see any correction at this moment. I think we cannot predict anything when market is rallying hence it would be better to just stay up to date with the market and no one can predict a thing now hence let's not buy anyone's news or prediction.
567  Economy / Economics / Re: Hard times in the average Nigerian society on: March 04, 2024, 05:57:04 PM
It should be combined efforts by government and it's people to get out of this terrible situation starting with eliminating all the terrorist organizations and locals shouldn't cheat or indulge in any shady business regardless of hardship they go through and trust me Nigeria will be booming if not for complicated problems it faces as people often indulge in criminal activities. I got offer to work with an MNC but the job location was Nigeria and the clause reads something like this "If you get kidnapped company will pay 100% ransom the first time, 50% will be paid by company and 50% will be paid by employee themselves for the second time and 100% will be paid by employee the third time. This culture needs to stop only then the investment will start flowing into the country.
568  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Latest news in crypto? on: March 03, 2024, 11:42:50 AM
There has been a lot of drama and changes which took plan in last few months and I would list down what went well for Bitcoin and the community and what didn't go well or caused problems.

Ordinals were pain in wrong place which pushed the transaction fee to sky high that's your transaction fee would be higher than your actual fund you wan to transfer, regulators targeting big CEXs like Binance and Poloniex and arrest of CZ which sent shock waves across the market but luckily Binance handled it really well and didn't allow it to impact the exchange, Bitcoin spot ETF approval and the rally of Bitcoin off late. It has been a lot in last few months and good thing is at the end we are all witnessing Bitcoin rally even before halving.
569  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving don't make wealth on: March 03, 2024, 11:31:26 AM
Saving fiat in regular checking accounts will never build wealth. It’s difficult to find a savings account that even matches inflation. The way to build wealth is to invest in real estate, stocks, cryptocurrency. Nobody gets rich simply saving. You have to invest in assets that increase in value over time. If you’re not even beating inflation then you are unknowingly getting poorer.

I second your thought because saving with Fiat will never make you wealth as the bank interest rate hardly covers inflation to be honest you have a look around those who have built wealth it's not through saving it's rather through investment and like you mentioned stocks, cryptocurrency and real estate are three of the most prefered investment as these assets yield more profit with time. It's better if people realizes this at the earliest especially those who don't want to risk money in investment but end up having their savings devalued.
570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think are the best crypto to invest in today before the halving? on: March 03, 2024, 11:15:58 AM
Hey no one would be able to predict that with accuracy as some would say SOL since it has been one of the Altcoins to increase significantly and probably the only coin to do so apart from Bitcoin though other coins have pumped but not to this extend. I would say we wouldn't be able to decide that unless we go through correction phase and yeah it has to be more of following the market trend for short term plan and for long term you have Bitcoin and buying Bitcoin during bear market would be best.
571  Economy / Economics / Re: Recession soon? on: March 03, 2024, 11:00:18 AM
People might be aware that some of the esteemed and largest organisations are laying off their employees left right and centre, are we heading into recession? Because I have seen my colleagues getting laid off and it's been months they are unable to find a job. Either we are heading towards recession or globally companies overhired the employees post COVID hence clearing the additional manpower. I am bit convinced that it's like recession sort of thing and not sure to over hiring. Share your thoughts on this crisis which has left a good amount of people without any work.

I am not so afraid of another recession looming around the corner. We just got out of the covid recession and even the Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Hamas war is not sending the world into another crisis. The global inflation seems to cool down and interest rates could even be lowered later this year. Once we get to lower interest rates again the economy should be picking up. It's true that businesses are looking to reduce staff, which is not only due to a worse economic outlook but also the efficiency gain from Ai. So many companies are relying on Ai already and will do so more heavily in the future. We are seeing now a transformation of workplace like in the industrial era with the invention of the steam engine. More and more jobs will become automated and it's just not important anymore to have a large workforce. I wouldn't worry so much about the global economy, but rather focus on our own future. As long as our job is secure and we have enough free money to invest in cryptos every month we are doing well and are prepared for the future.

Yes as long as you have a secure job with decent income to manage your daily expenses and a bit to invest into either crypto or stocks or something else it looks good and yeah inflation seems to calm down which is a good sign but professionals need to think of AI and to what extend it could take their job away and should be cross skilled in order to survive.
572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Planet to be enlisted on binance on: March 03, 2024, 10:42:03 AM
One more shill marketing, there are a lot of projects which are backed by celebrities but it doesn't mean that the project is good or worth it and if a project has capability and good features it doesn't need celebrities to be associated with it. Nowadays any shit coins gets listed in Binance in they pay the hefty listing fee but why do you think projects are getting delisted from Binance? It's because the project has nothing much to offer or manipulations are high and probably they were paid to get listed without much to offer.

I wouldn't be a part of this project especially look at the way how it has dropped recently.
573  Local / India / Re: CoinDCX CEO expects crypto tax to be reduced after 2024 election. on: March 03, 2024, 10:27:06 AM
These Indian exchanges are biggest scammers they charge hefty amount for buyer taker fee which is much higher compared to foreign exchanges and also they were so happy when government banned the foreign exchanges as it led to more users shifting to Indian exchanges and they were already milking us with huge fees.

I would never belive any word coming out of their mouth and they are using it to funnel more funds to their exchange and you can never expect anything good from this government and even if the tax is reduced I would still not use any Indian exchanges as they are just rip offs.
574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin was created to reform money and provide financial freedom on: March 03, 2024, 10:17:55 AM
Without the need for established banking institutions, users can send and receive money anywhere in the world, and I believe this would be advantageous for areas with unstable economies or no access to banking services. For example, we may govern our wealth and transactions more effectively and enjoy financial freedom thanks to bitcoin. However, it's possible that some groups or individuals have contradictory opinions about this since they question whether bitcoin will endure into the future generation or if it was only created for our own time. I think that it is reasonable that we could use third parties in order to get some bitcoin so that we can be avoided as targets by people who do bad deeds.

Yes it was created for P2P transfer globally without involvement of any third party but now it is used for P2P only for higher fund transfer as low level transfer are done through Altcoins as the transaction fee for Bitcoin is on higher side for low level transfer.

That's one side of story wherein Bitcoin is users for the purpose it was created and the second aspect is looking at Bitcoin as an investment and more users are interested in this part of Bitcoin wherein they just wants to invest into it.
575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you still Invest in the potential heartbreakingly AltCoins? on: March 03, 2024, 09:57:47 AM
There is only one reason why people still prefer to invest into Altcoin despite being aware that only very few of Altcoins succeeds amounts pool of hundreds of Altcoin which fails and even if it's successful it can eat up your portfolio anytime like we have seen with Luna and FTX but still people invest into Altcoin only for higher profit. Yes, the profit which one can get from Altcoin is much more than Bitcoin and that's the sole reason why people still risk it all for Altcoin. But, I have stopped thinking like that and majority of my portfolio is covered by Bitcoin.
576  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Israel-Hamas War on: March 03, 2024, 09:31:21 AM
Have you ever hear this thing "Little knowledge is too Dangerous" and that's what your post is all about. I think you need to read the history and check who has done occupied the land how Palestinians were massacred by israili occupational forces and it's not a war when you fight with bunch and militant but kills the civilians and justify that you are fighting militants. I think you would say that it's Ukraine's fault that it's continuing the war with Russia instead of surrendering s it would have saved thousands of casualties. Let's understand both side of story and if you wish to witness the inhumane conditions imposed on Palestinians just visit that plan and you would know the reality.
577  Economy / Speculation / Re: crypto on: March 03, 2024, 09:20:29 AM
There are two possibilities as price either breaching the previous ATH and yielding more profits if you hodl on for a while or it dropping down as a market correction but remaining stable around the current price is difficult due to the events lines up. In order to not regret selling at lesser if market pumps or regretting that you could have sold if market drops. I would suggest to place a SL order in case if this is something urgent or emergency but if that's not the case then hodl up till bull run.

This is not an advice but just a thought what I would have done in this situation.
578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's last big rally in this cycle on: March 03, 2024, 08:59:24 AM
I have always believed and even the historic events are proof that there would be some sort of fluctuations and corrections which occurs between halving and bull run, majority of people who are associated with this domain for atleast last two bull runs will agree with me because that's how the trend have been but at the same time looking at the recent months and the way Bitcoin has performed it's hard to believe whether we will have any correction phase or it will break new ATH even before the halving and then we will have correction phase between halving and bull run.

Will we see history repeating itself or it would set a new trend this time is the question which I am unable to find answer for but I have planned enough to get benefitted by both the circumstances.
579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I was able to donate Books to school pupils with my little Campaign Bitcoin on: March 03, 2024, 08:35:58 AM
I am amazed atthe good initiative which you have done and especially you are targeted the right audience because most often people are aware of Bitcoin at a later stage and some of them refuse to believe it as they are used to traditional methods and this sound very news and too good to believe for them as they haven't studied or discussed about it during their schools or college but yes if you made them aware of it at the early stage even if they don't show interest now but at later stage they can understand it's not something new or scam and led to more adoption of Bitcoin. Anyways great initiative and keep up the good work.
580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TON of Telegram is about to cross USDT10 billion marketcap on: March 02, 2024, 09:52:05 PM
Yes you're right I don't see TON as the next big altcoin. Its a good project to get some quick profits but it's never recommended for a long term investment. It solves issues like payments with small fees, Faster payments, decentralization in payments but these features are nowadays in every coming altcoin.

USP( unique selling proposition) is missing somewhere I think of TON. It doesn't offer you much creativity and in an era of that much competition it's very difficult for it to compete here. It has good profit points for now so use it for daily trade and quick profits. It's integrated with telegram which can gives some positive attraction especially when airdrop hunters need tons for airdrop form then it value will be increased.

Not only TON but it's a common understanding that we cannot go for long term when it comes to any Altcoin as Bitcoin is the only crypto currency where you can vouch for long term. There has been a lot of buzz in social media about the this coin but unfortunately as you mentioned it would be temporary because we need projects which have something unique to offer and should be solving and burning issues which TON clearly lags.
