561  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop discouraging Newbies from Bitcoin... on: October 12, 2023, 10:46:50 PM
It is not that bitcoin trading is not for newbies, the thing is that newbies should not rush into trading because of how complex and complicated bitcoin trading can be for newbies. If newbies wants to go into trading it is better for them to take their time and learn to understand it and never to rush to trade with huge amount.  I think newbies starting with a small fraction of capital will be better because this will be an experience that will help them as they proceed in trading . The truth is that  as trading is concerned everyone needs experience,  so it is needful for newbies to learn learn first and not to rush starting with a big capital to trade,  small capital will be better that one can afford to lose.

I get what you’re saying. If someone new to trading and decides to acquire knowledge while patiently learning the ropes, that person won’t be seen nor tagged as a newbie anymore after having sufficient understanding of what trading entails.
I had thought it was obvious I was speaking figuratively. I do know people are free to hastily and ignorantly involve themselves and their funds with something they are yet to reasonably understand.
Most newbies, perhaps being a bit too eager fail to fully grasp risks involved.

562  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop discouraging Newbies from Bitcoin... on: October 12, 2023, 02:53:25 AM
The title of your topic is quite misleading. New members to the forum with little to no knowledge about bitcoin are always welcomed and encouraged as well as being bombarded with relevant information and articles that would help a newbie on the journey towards bitcoin enlightenment.

Being misleading with the heading of your topic wasn’t enough, you now go on to make bogus claims providing nothing but words to back up such claims.
Being advised by other members to acquire more knowledge and experience first before delving into trading, is them literally looking out for you. Does the thought of having to acquire more information and knowledge first discourage you?

I think I’ll reiterate this popular opinion: Bitcoin trading isn’t for newbies.
It’s always best to learn from someone’s mistakes so when  the majority of opinions from other members recommends gaining more knowledge and experience, the last thing you should feel is discouraged.
563  Economy / Economics / Re: Women are more economical than men. on: October 11, 2023, 11:59:10 PM
The thing that makes women more economical than men is that most women think that earning money is difficult so the thing you can do is always think economically, and I think the other side is that women often use feelings when they want to spend money.

If women were indeed better at managing funds than men, it would certainly not be the reason you think. I’m quite certain you’re not a female yet you’ve conveniently assumed and created opinions people on how women think about earning money.

I’m also curious on what you mean by women use feelings whenever they want to spend money. How does emotion relates with just women and spending money? And I suppose these feelings also help in making them better at managing funds.
564  Economy / Economics / Re: Agriculture vs oil on: October 11, 2023, 11:39:36 PM
Oil has indeed become closely ingrained in our lives. So it is very difficult for us to get rid of dependence on oil. So it is not surprising that oil also plays an important role in our economic order, where its impact is currently the most influential. Rising oil prices can even cause inflation to occur quickly because almost all sectors currently use energy from processing petroleum or fossil fuels. But comparing Agriculture and Oil I think these two things have the same strength. For example, if wheat farmers suddenly stop selling their agricultural products. then we will see a quite big shock in the economy. Because of the remaining wheat on the market, the price will really increase like crazy. And all foods and products that contain the staple ingredient wheat will also experience the same high increase. So that oil and agriculture are both equally important forces. And I personally consider agriculture more important in our lives.

We’ve been for too long relying on oil as the main source for energy and cause of our over reliance, a decrease in supply would always have dire implications for a lot of countries, some more than most.

I think oil is always in demand by every nation to satisfy the energy demands of the people and  could provide a lot more revenue for a country and further strengthen its economic growth. Not trying to downplay the importance of agriculture as it’s equally important.
Keeping in mind how energy is needed by everyone everywhere, oil deposits are not found everywhere hence the high worth and value. Most countries could plan to commercially grow agricultural produce but not every country has large oil deposits that could be enough for personal consumption and to sell and make profits.
565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 11, 2023, 10:53:03 PM

Pep Guardiola is a very tactical man and his ways are always different and one step ahead of others. Their defeat to Arsenal will not in anyway affect their fight for the title race. I fear that they may comeback stronger than before after this break. Manchester City are known to be persevered and won’t give up until their last game in the season. When the existing first XI players are now becoming weak or opponents begin to understand their style of play, they usually use their backup players to replace them and win games for them. Pep Guardiola is use to doing this and I expect him to do the same even now if he has no other option on how to penetrate and win matches in the coming features.

Losing a game or two at this point wouldn’t hurt their chances of winning the title again this season. In my opinion, they’re still looking good enough for it too. They’re still in top form and the loss to Arsenal should be a wake up call that there are other clubs that have renewed vigor are also determined to be in first position at the end of the season.
I doubt supporters faith in the club is wavering following the loss to Arsenal. Pep is an incredible coach that knows how best to utilize a players talent. Man City is in good and capable hands.
566  Economy / Economics / Re: Agriculture vs oil on: October 11, 2023, 06:57:38 PM
Both are invaluable as they’re both needed in our lives.
Agriculture is obviously important as we literally need to eat to live.

Oil, when refined is majorly used today all over the world as different sources of energy. It powers our machinery for production and manufacturing of various goods and also fuels our transport systems for movement of raw materials. Very essential for economic growth and development.

Oil is in my opinion, more of a big deal when it comes to the economic strength of a country. Refined oil is needed and being used all over the world as different energy sources but that valuable resource isn’t found just anywhere.
We all need energy and countries naturally having these energy sources would be highly sought after. Hence economic growth and development.

You can’t conclude anything yet until you see the result of the match because the same momentum Arsenal have is the same momentum Chelsea also have currently, in all competitions Chelsea have now won their last 3 games and it’s also something they can hold on to. Their highly spirited currently and their midfield and defense have improved massively and stable, even the attack is a bit stronger than they started the season.

You can’t write Chelsea off just yet but judging from past games against Arsenal they have not won a match against Arsenal since 2021 but that could be enough reason for Chelsea to put up a good fight to end their losing streak against Arsenal so I don’t expect the match to be easy for Arsenal as you all think.

Surely you can deny that there’s a stark difference between the two teams in the overall performance since the beginning of the season. There’s no denying that Arsenal is going on strong and is in a much better form than Chelsea at the moment. You won’t fault people for predicting a win for the team that has been playing well and in much better shape. You seem to forget that Arsenal also has high spirits and more going for them.

There is of course, a possibility that Chelsea could win the game. But looking at the consistency in their performance of both teams in this season, you can understand why there’s little faith in Chelsea winning the game. I also don’t think it would be easy for either side.
568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: October 11, 2023, 02:08:32 PM
Yes, in terms of experience it is true, Bayern Munich is more experienced in this prestigious match, the composition of Bayern Munich's players is indeed superior to above average, but you need to remember that by playing at home, Galatasaray will face fierce competition when they face Bayern Munich later, with full support from the crowd who gave encouragement, this coach's strategy was very important in facing every Bayern Munich player who had advantages in all areas. I'm sure Galatasaray will win. The match will take place with a fairly close score, namely 1-0.

You’ve confessed to the overall superiority and experience Bayern Munich enjoys over its opponent and despite that, you’re feeling sure of Galatasaray winning the game just cause they would be playing on their home turf? Having just the advantage of playing on your home ground isn’t nearly enough to propel the home team to have a win over their opponents.
I’m not also underestimating Galatasaray and ruling out the possibility of them having a win at the end of the game we we’ve seen over and over games where the underdogs go on to win the game against their much tougher opponents.

It would be an interesting game. I don’t see Galatasaray winning the game and I also don’t think they’ll go down easily without putting up a good fight. I think we might see goals from both teams.
569  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I want to fulfill my mother's dream of building a house with Bitcoin. on: October 10, 2023, 11:59:24 PM
firstly I want to start my Bitcoin journey through trading, after making some money from trading I plan to invest in Bitcoin for four years. These four years I will hold my investment and also save the money earned from trading or signature campaign for four years so that after four years I can start building the house.

You must pray for me so that I can fulfill my mother's dream.

Easier said than done. You mentioned you’ve already learnt enough to start trading and you would later invest in and hold bitcoin from the money gotten through trading. You also plan to invest and hold even more with accumulated funds gotten from signature campaigns.
Have you got enough money to comfortably keep some aside for trading? You’re making plans for money that hasn’t yet been achieved and that is a major flaw in your plans. You should start by working and saving up money that can be safely and comfortably invested.

Your dream doesn’t sound all that ridiculous btw. But only prayers isn’t enough to fulfill yours or your mothers dream.
570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 10, 2023, 11:40:13 PM
Manchester City without Kelvin De Bruyne and Rodri is an overhyped team. The absence of both players have had a negative impact on the team’s performance in the last three games including defeat to Arsenal this weekend which is the most recent lose they have conceded. Gabriel Martinelli’s goal was enough to give Arsenal a win. Arsenal will treasure this win, the team have worked hard to come this far, good work to Mikel Arteta, trusting the process is finally paying off.

Manchester City has not really been the same without Kevin De Bruyne and Rodri. The absence of De Bruyne is noticed in their gameplay. While I think they’re still in good form and still very much a strong contender for winning the title again this season.
Arsenal has also notably improved a considerable lot from last season and they’re also in good form, playing better football. This is evident in their games. I think it says a lot when playing against Manchester City and they find it difficult to score a goal.
571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Relying on gamble wins is dangerous to mental health on: October 10, 2023, 11:23:15 PM
You do not count your chickens before they’re hatched. You definitely do not start to make plans for money that isn’t yet in your custody. The disappointment people get from this can be overwhelming and very frustrating. People have been ruined and wrecked after making plans for money that would be hopefully theirs.

I think people who gets really hurt by their losses when gambling are those who due to being so unrealistically hopeful and optimistic, having positive thoughts only about the funds to be won and already how best to go about using such funds all before they’re actually won.
572  Economy / Economics / Re: Fast Transportation Makes Economic Turnover Faster on: October 10, 2023, 10:51:53 PM
I think it’s pretty obvious on why timing and speed of delivery is important in the Pizza business. Customers would demand their hot pizza and would be happy, and are very likely to call in again if the pizza can arrive in the next minute.
Like every business that either involves delivery of some product or providing or installation of some service, customers would always appreciate fast and efficient delivery.

A good and reliable transportation system is needed for without it, the country would slowly come to a halt. People need to get around quickly as well as raw materials needed for production. A poor transport network would hinder trade and development.
573  Economy / Economics / Re: Marriage mean double your passive income, rental property mean double your passi on: October 10, 2023, 10:35:38 PM
I already saw this post earlier and failed to see the logic of the post so I decided to look at it again later, and now that I am back I still fail to see the main point of this. What's the message? What's the correlation between having sugar daddies to being married? Are you saying that the key to having financial stability is to get married? If so, millions of us could have been millionaires and billionaires by now.

The OP, if I understood enough, was going on about how your passive income should be a lot higher than your expenses. Then invited discussions if marriage to a rich individual or keeping rich boyfriends around should be classified as having a passive income since gifts that are mainly funds are coming in perhaps regularly.

Passive income are funds mostly generated from having investments/a business that has started bringing in returns. Marrying for money or giving yourself to whoever would fund a certain lifestyle aren’t passive incomes and won’t bring financial security.
574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: October 10, 2023, 09:59:40 PM
It must become the most potential result. I meant let's take a look at how galatasaray was destroying manchester united away. I can't use it as the right measurement but it gives me a small insight about how strong galatasaray is.
The performance from the club can go up anytime with the help of its adrenaline. In my opinion if we will see a tough game between bayern and galatasaray soon.
Everything may be going well soon.

I don’t think a draw would be a potential result. More like a win for Bayern Munich. Rightly noted about not using the defeat Man United suffered to completely form an opinion. Bayern Munich is by quite a large margin, stronger than Galatasaray and would claim the win when they meet later.
I don’t think they are much of a threat foot Bayern. They might score a goal or two but I think Bayern Munich would come out victorious in the end.
It would be interesting to watch how Galatasaray would try for a win.

Congratulations to Mctominay for keeping Eric Ten Hag in his seat. When Brentford scored that goal at Manchester United's stadium, I thought it was over. After that devastating defeat in the Champions League, they fell behind in the 25th minute at home. Things were looking horrible. To be honest, Brentford had a great defence, better than I expected. But the last minutes were fantastic. Let's forget about what Manu have been going through and just look at that ending. It was utterly fantastic. On the other hand, even though Manu's offence was not bad, things are not looking bright for them this season.

Lots of Congratulations indeed for Mctominay who stepped up and saved Man United from yet another humiliating home defeat. The match had gone deep into the second half and Man United had yet to score an equalizer. Looking back on their previous losses, I had very little hope that could struggle to end the game with a draw.
Very surprising and exciting to see the lads fired up and putting in pressure that broke through the defenses of Brentford twice, scoring just enough goals to win the game. Ten Hag was visibly happy when the second goal was scored. I bet he was relieved his boys didn’t lose this game. His approval ratings aren’t looking too great.
576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If we lose in gambling, what do we need to do? on: October 09, 2023, 11:17:53 PM
What to do when we start losing when gambling? It’s depends. If you’ve manage to quickly burn through the money you previously allocated to gambling that day, then it’s best you pack up and head home. Easier said that done. A lot of people would still get tempted to try and play some more having renewed hopes that their luck is about to change for the better.
In most cases, that individual ends up losing even more than he originally bargained. I think it’s best to quit when allocated money is already spent. You can also occupy yourself with other leisure activities so you wouldn’t have to think of the money lost gambling.
577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 09, 2023, 06:56:58 PM
You left Manchester United out of the list, is it because they have some bad performance back then due to injuries?
Because I know that Manchester United team have the potential of competing for top four.

It’s difficult at this point to see any prospects of Manchester United finishing the league amongst the top four spot. They’ve had a really poor performance so far and it’s not solely due to players suffering from injuries. Having the potential to do something doesn’t necessarily make it happen. They’ll need to step up their performance in perhaps, having successive wins. That would lift up the morale and confidence of supporters and the likelihood of qualifying for the champions league next season wouldn’t seem so far fetched.
Things are heating up as the season progresses. Man United needs to do much better. They’ve got the potential.
578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 09, 2023, 06:31:15 AM
I'm suprised to see that some Manchester United fans are beginning to praise Manchester United after the fine header assist he gave to Scott McTominay to make them win the match against Brentford, Harry Maguire is the most backlashed player in the team, due to his very poor performances and lack of confidence in his previous matches, but he's currently receiving praises by same fans that's been criticising him, well I don't blame the Manchester United fans, because if he had performed better no one would've backlashed but praised him like they're doing currently.

If a player deserve some credit for his involvement in the game, then he should be rightly given such credits. Manchester United had been behind and would have suffered another humiliating home defeat if not for the two goals scored by McTominay.

Concerning Maguire, his input in the final moments of the game was pretty significant and helped McTominay score another goal putting Man United ahead and ultimately winning the game. It’s really not surprising that fans would give Maguire some credit.

I found Sterling to be more successful in carrying out his duties during the match against Burnley yesterday. His movements appeared quite aggressive and seemed to trouble Burnley's defense.

This victory seems to be a continuation of Chelsea's turning point, having won several matches prior. Chelsea's performance appears to be stabilizing, and they seem prepared to take on big teams like Tottenham, Arsenal, and Man City.

Meanwhile, a team with a rather enigmatic performance is Manchester United. Manchester United has yet to establish consistent form in each match they play.

Sterling definitely had a field day in that game as he was really instrumental in the game, scoring himself and making it possible for others to score. He played really well and was deservedly named man of the match later on. He obviously was a threat to Burnley’s defense and it was quite refreshing to see Chelsea play the way they did. They had a very solid performance and hopefully, we could have a continuation of performance like this.

Ad for Man United, I think it’s still too early to tell if they’re beginning to have a turnaround although their recent win over Brentford was highly welcomed.
580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 07, 2023, 07:33:49 PM
Such a lucky win for United right ? Because if this wouldn't have happened today , I'm sure Ten Haag would have been already history by now. Even with this , I'm still sure they will look to replace him in winter break because it's clearly that United is playing poor with him as main coach.

Instead , I must say I liked how Chelsea played today and if they continue like this , they might surprise us with a winning streak of at least 4 games.  Grin

A lucky win indeed. McTominay stepped up and saved the team from a home defeat from Brentford. It would have been really humiliating if they had suffered another loss. Ten Hag was visible happy when his boys scored and probably a bit relieved too. I think this win may delay his axing but it’s probably still in view. The next few games would probably be the decider.
Man United needed this win after so much losses.

Chelsea did play superbly today and deserve the win. They controlled the game really well. Starting the second half with the referee awarding a penalty to Chelsea further dampened any hopes Burnley may have had. Sterling was really involved with the success the team enjoyed in this game.
