Even if Australia plays badly in the beginning, Australia is playing great in the next matches, moreover, it is normal that Australia will not do worse in important stages like the semi-finals. South Africa, on the other hand, do not have the ability to withstand the stress of reaching the semi-finals, which is why they have a record of being knocked out of the semi-finals more than once. The same could happen in the match on the 16th, with Australia likely to be eliminated from the semi-finals.

England also havent won any ODI WC till 2019 when they beat New Zealand in the final. Based on the past data we can say that SA are chokers but cant say they don't have the ability to win in the future. Having said that I think current SA team is not as strong as it used to be in A B de Villiers time and I don't have much hopes of SA winning the semi final against mighty Australia.

South Africa may not be able to compete properly against Australia, because they need to deal with the issue of quota products such as Temba Bavuma and Andile Phehlukwayo who needs to be included in the squad irrespective of their performance. The quota system means that players who are performing well needs to make way for these mediocre players and warm the bench. Australia gives priority for merit and that will be the main reason why they will remain as the favorites to win the second semi-final between these two teams.

South Africa despite having players like Temba Bavuma and Andile Phehlukwayo has performed well in group stage. They have lost the game against Pakistan but thanks to some crucial decision from umpires they eventually won that game. South Africa are known to be chokers and most of time they lost in semis. They are the only side that haven't played any ODI WC final till date.

We don’t have any match today and we also don’t have any match tomorrow but on 15th November, a big match is taking place which is India vs New Zealand, and you know in the previous World Cup same semi-final was held, teams are exactly the same, and first semi-final is in between New Zealand vs India, which lost by India at that time, and India lose that match with a huge embarrassment, so India team was very angry after that lose so they are want to take revenge this time.

Indian players want to take revenge. I think this time the conditions will favour the Indian team more than the New Zealand team.

This time situation is very different. India is getting full advantage of playing at home. There is very rear chance of India not lifting this world cup. Both New Zealand and South Africa are the only sides left that haven't won any ODI world cup so far and it looks like both team have to wait for 4 more years. There is a possibility that Aussies might be able to beat India if they make it to finals.

Netherlands started the tournament quite well by winning matches against South Africa and Bangladesh. But then they lost steam. They suffered very heavy defeats and then lost against weak sides such as Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. Running between the wickets was pathetic and so was their depth over bowling. They were presented with an ideal opportunity to qualify for the ICC Champions Trophy and thereby securing more funds from the ICC. But all of that was wasted with the immature approach to the game.

I think Netherlands have done quite well in this WC despite being a weak team. Until now we have seen weak (associate) teams losing all there matches but this time Netherlands were able to secure victory against teams like SA. The question remains when we will see improve performance from Bangladesh despite being a full test team we haven't seen any noticeable performance from Bangladesh.

And, of course, the $27 worth of bitcoin from that 2015 article have gone up even more, and it may well be difficult for someone to figure out how to plan their bitcoin management when they had not even paid attention to the value of what they were holding for several years, and so now the same amount of bitcoin 5,000 bitcoin would be worth right around $185 million.  But yeah, did he sell all of his bitcoin in 2013 after discovering their value, or did he sell various bitcoin along the way, because even if he hung onto 1/10th of the bitcoin, he would be in a pretty good place right now with 500 bitcoin that would be worth $18.5 million.. but people who forget about their bitcoin have to somehow put themselves into a right kind of mindset that might involve some profit taking but perhaps management of the holdings through HODLing rather than selling too much too soon.

The point is if you can invest 100$ (or more) per week in Bitcoin then its best but if you don't have that much capital available weekly or monthly then invest as much as you can afford easily. Bitcoin today is over 37k and we don't know what its price will be a year or two from today. Just as that guy 27$ went sky high in few years, we don't know how far will our investment go in coming years. We have faith in Bitcoin price that it will defiantly go up in coming years.
Just don't start selling if you start seeing a small profit in bitcoin rather its better to HODL as price start going up enormously in 3 to 4 years. So buy Bitcoin and HODL for long term.

India decimated the Dutch as expected, but they shouldn't relax at all since they have been known to choke in critical matches like the semifinals and finals quite often in recent history which is why they need to be extra careful.

No team seems capable of snatching the cup from them as long as they don't succumb to pressure in my opinion.

Today's match concludes the group stages fixtures and now we have 4 more matches to go. You are right that there is little possibility that India will lose in semis or in the finals. Last 3 ODI world cup's are lifted by the host nation and that pattern also make India favorite for this WC. In today's game there was nothing much for Netherlands as Indian batsmen showed no mercy to bowlers.
567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 12, 2023, 12:44:09 PM
There are only 2 overs are left and India is just near to 400 runs made 368 runs. I think India will make almost 390 runs. And this will be a huge target for Netherlands team.
Shreyas Iyer is on fire and just hit 2 sixes and and now India score is 380 and Shreyas Iyer made 116 runs on 90 balls with 4 sixes and 9 fours. Netherlands lost the match in advance.

India concluded there innings for 410 runs. Netherlands bowlers were helpless in front of the hammering done by Indian batsmen. All batsmen were able to score 50s or 100 today. Such score was expected from the team that has defeated all teams of the tournament including Australia. It will be intersecting to see how much runs will Netherlands score today.
568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 11, 2023, 06:39:18 PM
Before the tournament started, no one would have thought that these two teams would perform so poorly. England, for most of the group phase duration was at the rock bottom of the points table. They won their last two matches and it enabled them to qualify for the Champions trophy. Pakistan was actually expected to do well, because they were in good form and also due to the fact that the matches are being played in the sub-continent. Their batsmen actually did a good job, but the bowlers failed them completely.

Pakistan really need to get rid of nepotism. Players like Imam and Shadab are in squad just because they have ties with people who have influence in PCB. Moreover this team is made on wishes of Babar Azam and not mush attention is paid on who deserve to be in team. Apart from win over New Zealand there is no noticeable performance from Pakistan team in this tournament. Players like Babar Azam and Rizwan should try to understand that scoring 50 runs on 60 balls wont be of any use to team.

These surprises are in terms of teams lowering their performances when something good was expected of them. Srilanka, England and West Indies (could not qualify) were just disappointed but we can say that the Netherlands and Afghanistan showed some good performances like Afghanistan beating Pakistan and England while the Netherlands team beat South Africa and Bangladesh.

Coming to today's first match at Pune, Australia won the toss and rightly decided to bowl first. Litton Das and Tanzid Hasan started the innings slowly but carefully and they have made 20 runs in 5 overs but did not lose any wickets. Being the last match of Bangladesh they would really like to go home with a win against a big team Australia. Let's see how they play these 50 overs and if they can manage to score 300+ runs giving their bowlers something to defend at this ground.

Bangladesh going good so far. After 14 overs they are 96/1 and there predicted target is 300 at the moment. Tanzid Hasan is the only batsmen getting out this morning. If Bangladesh not lose quick wickets then there is very much possibility that they can give a target of 300 runs. Bangladesh top priority will be to finish 8th in this table so that they can play next champions trophy.

Bangladesh NRR is above Sri Lanka and they need to perform well in today's game to keep NRR above SL else they won't be playing next champions trophy. Moreover court in Bangladesh have taken notice of Waqar Younis statement on "time out" decision. Bangladeshi Court has asked Bangladeshi crikcet board to take this matter to icc to remove him from panel of commentators.

Sometimes $100 a week is too heavy for the regular person and even more so if they live in a country that has lower wages compared to other countries. Moreover, for those who are young and don't have a permanent job, of course they might not be too focused on investing $100 every week in Bitcoin. But time is not a problem in long-term investing because time passes so quickly and the $10 or $20 they invest regularly will not feel they can reach 1 BTC someday.

I think in long term investments we don't have to check price to stabilize our purchases, I mean the price today will be different in the next day. So buying regularly and not caring about the price will give you the perception of accumulating Bitcoin regardless of the current Bitcoin price. We only focus on 0.1 0.2 and so on until we reach 1 BTC in our last stage. 10 years or 20 years is quite a long time if you imagine it, but if we take it easy in investing, of course time will pass very quickly.

Make investment a habit rather then waiting for right time and huge money. Even if you have 10$ spare then start investing with it. Of course we can increase it with time, as with time our earnings are suppose to increased. If you can invest 100$ per week then it's ideal but if you can't invest 100$ per week then invest as much as you have in bitcoin.
There are people who invested small money in Bitcoin and finds that it has increased enormously over a period of time,Man buys $27 of bitcoin, forgets about them, finds they’re now worth $886k.
There is clear evidence available that price of bitcoin goes up with time. So invest for long term if you want a good return on your investment.

I don't really care about Sri Lanka. They are a team in decline. IMO, providing 30x more funds to teams like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and West Indies when compared to stronger associate nations such as Netherlands and Scotland doesn't make sense. Hopefully the ICC will re-distribute funds to smaller nations and it will create a level playing field. Back in 2016, the ICC suspended CAN (Cricket Association of Nepal) and for a period from 2016 to 2019 Nepal didn't received any sort of ICC funding. The same criteria should be applied to Sri Lanka as well.

I think there is no need for such actions from Sri Lankan government. They could have done that with decency after the WC when team arrives back home. To me this issue will be settled very soon, as ICC dont have much full test teams at its pool. Teams like England and Bangladesh have similar story in this WC but see how proud still Bangladeshi team and its management is. They have acquired full test status for over two decade for no reason.

Another tight contest by Afghanistan as they sign off with a loss. Afghanistan got 5 wickets 38 over but Rassie van der Dussen and Andile Phehlukwayo fight hard to take SA to victory stand. Apart from Azmatullah Omarzai no Afghan batsmen was able to score runs and thats why they gave a small target of 245 runs. The game will be much more tighter if Afghanistan had given a target of 270 - 280.

The South African team lost the wicket of Temba Bavuma in the 11th over. As usual in the previous matches we saw a poor performance from Bavuma in today's match. Bavuma returned to the dressing room after collecting 23 runs from 28 balls.

Quinton de Kock is batting with responsibility. De Kock is unbeaten after collecting 41 runs from 46 balls. At the end of 13 overs, South Africa managed to collect 66 runs. As now South Africa are second in the points table, and they have no chance to go to the top of the table, so South Africa net run rate is not worried today. This is why South African batsmen are not batting aggressively today.

South Africa need to be a bit careful, Afghanistan had got two quick wickets and they are trying to get more. South Africa need 130 runs from 27.5 overs so there is no need to rush right now. 50 runs partnership completed between Rassie van der Dussen and Markram. South Africa are in comfortable position at the moment and to win this game Afghanistan need few quick wickets.

575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 10, 2023, 10:58:22 AM
LOL.. interesting to see that Afghanistan chose to bat first. And quite predictably, the South African bowlers ripped through their batting lineup. Till now, not  single Afghan batsman has made a score of above 30. Rahmat Shah made 26 and Rahmanullah Gurbaz got out after making 25. Azmatullah Omarzai is at the crease with 24. They have lost wickets at regular intervals and I will be very surprised if they make a total of above 200. So far Gerald Coetzee and Keshav Maharaj have taken 2 wickets apiece as Proteas decided to rest their ace bowler Marco Jansen.

Afghanistan after doing so good re down and out in there last game. 6 wickets gone down in 29 overs. Azmatullah Omarzai is the only one able to score 31 and is not out. The outcome of this match is not important for both teams nor for any other team in the tournament. Overall its excellent performance from Afghanistan in this tournament , they proved that they are a strong cricket side.

Paksitan chances for semifinals are almost ended because thier chances were completely dependent on sirilankan team win but unfortunately they unable to win this match and also not even stop thier opponent to win against them with small margin which is really disappointing because such run rate problems will create huge trouble for paksitan because now paksitan has to win against England with 287 runs which is currently looking impossible and also while chasing they has to chase England target on 16 balls which is also impossible. So now India will face NewZeland in Mumbai Venue while paksitan has to just play against England to compete formality and then on the way to paksitan

The only interest left in game between Pakistan and England is whether England reserve there slot in upcoming ICC champions trophy or not. Four teams are are now confirmed for semi finals, while there are some hypothetical scenarios in which Pakistan and Afghanistan can qualify for the semi finals. England have to make sure that there NRR in last game remains above Sri Lanka so that they can participate in ICC champions trophy.
577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 09, 2023, 12:07:01 PM
Kusal Perera was the only Lankan batsman who looked confident in today's match. But once he got out, it was all over for Sri Lanka. Dushmantha Chameera and Maheesh Theekshana are at the crease now, but it looks unlikely that they will get past 150. And in that case it may take less than 20 overs for the Kiwis to chase the target, which can take their net run rate to formidable levels. And all this is bad news for Pakistan. Now it is almost confirmed that they will not qualify for the semi-finals.

Sri Lanka gave a target of 172 runs and New Zealand know they have to chase it as quickly as possible to remain in the safe zone. Some reistance we saw from last batting pair of Sri Lanka today, Maheesh Theekshana and Dilshan Madushanka both added 41 runs before the pair was broken by Ravindra. Sri Lanka will be happy that they were not bowled out before 100 today.
578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 09, 2023, 10:36:32 AM
Angelo Mathews and Dhananjaya de Silva are trying to stabilize the innings after being ripped through by Trent Boult. And theirs is the last recognized batting pair for Sri Lanka. So far they looked comfortable against the spinners, as well as against Lockie Ferguson. Perhaps the New Zealand captain can get a few more overs from Boult, but it is going to be a risky strategy. Also, the wayward Tim Southee needs to be called in at some point. Glenn Phillips and Rachin Ravindra are yet to bowl, and we also need to remember that the net run rate is going to be extremely important for the semi-final qualification.

The scenario is getting very much clear by now. New Zealand will face India in semis and Sri Lanka will miss next ICC champions trophy. Sri Lanka had a disastrous world cup and lots of changes going on in cricket board due to this poor performance. Only good thing seen so far from Sri Lanka side in today's game is Kusal Perera 51(28). rest of batting just collapsed.
579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 09, 2023, 06:55:17 AM
Although Pakistan's performance is not up to the mark, I would say that at this point they are a much better team when compared to Sri Lanka. Without Hasaranga, Sri Lanka is a shit team. Even the addition of Angelo Mathews hasn't helped them. Out of the three teams in contention for the semi-final slot as the 4th placed team (Pakistan, Afghanistan and New Zealand), I would say that Pakistan has the maximum probability. New Zealand would come in next, despite their recent downturn in form and Afghanistan only has a remote possibility.

The good or bad thing about Pakistan team is that you cant predict how they will play on next fine morning. Pakistan chances of making to semis are rear if NZ won its game against SL. If NZ beat SL by one run then Pakistan has to beat England by 130 runs and to be precise if NZ beat SL by Z runs then Pakistan has to beat England by 130 x Z runs. As a Pakistani fan I don't wanna see Pakistan in semis as they have to face India and we have terrible record against India in WC.
580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 09, 2023, 06:25:53 AM
Tomorrow we have a really demanded Match because here will be decided whom will qualify for semifinals because if NewZeland won then there chances will be really high and paksitan has to won his game with big margin against England but if NewZeland lose or abounded due to rain then paksitan will be straight away to semifinals against india

Not only today's game is important for New Zealand and Pakistan but for Sri Lanka also. Sri Lanka is currently at number 9th position and if they lose today's game then they will also be eliminated from Champions trophy to be held in 2025. Pakistan can only qualify for next round if Sri Lanka win today's game otherwise it will be difficult for Pakistan to qualify for next round.
