just so you guys are clear, you need to change the default password in the .conf file, located in users/(your user)/appdata/roaming/gryfencoin
BUT ALSO you need to edit the .bat file for the miner and change the default password to what you picked in your .conf file.
happy mining =]

I'm lost, why are there no pools?
if you downloaded the wallet, youd see that it came with a cpuminer set up to solo mine. this is how the coin is at the moment. im still in awe.. did a team of certified badasses really put together the ideal coin, and this isnt all over the news? prepare your anuses, anyone who doubts this one.

How is this coin mined? There's no setgenerate RPC command.
solo mined from daemon id assume

We have updated with a few more pools to the main post!
Sorry for all that are messaging us at the moment, we have a limit on how many messages we can send so it is taking some time to get through to you all. We are amazed at the amount of interest so far and hopefully that means only good things to come!
On another note just over 6 hours left for launch, will update you all when wallets are updated before launch (password protected).
good, it will be nice to see the hash rate spread out. i will mine this. although i will be looking at blockfinders on all pools, and making sure there are no "anonymous" users with massive rented rigs sucking up all the coins and preparing a dump. if that happens, i will scream fire all over the internet about this coin.

why is best-pool.com not up and running? this coin launched already, no?

hey guys, im running a centos 6.5 server, and having issues getting bitcoind to run, and also id like it to run on boot. i followed the steps here: https://gist.github.com/janx/10465121when i got to the last step, (in the bitcoind section) LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/home/bitcoind/bitcoind/deps/lib ./src/bitcoind resulted in saying the file or directory did not exist. i am aware of an issue with secp256k1 regarding centos, so i also did https://github.com/bitcoin/secp256k1the last make install command asks me for the password for bitcoind? any help? will toss a little btc at someone who can get me going.
