Accumulating Lisk will allow ARK management to vote in themselves (and others they choose) as Active Delegates for Lisk forging and therefore accumulate ongoing Lisk rewards by running Lisk nodes themselves.


I am an escrow agent for ARK and not a member of the ARK dev team.  The way account keys have been distributed, I must participate in any transfer of BTC or Lisk associated with the ARK project.  My job is to stand up for investors in the event of an ARK launch abort and make sure those investors get their funds back.   If "shit happens", I will do my job.

As the article above discusses,  ICNP needs to go from its initial $4.6M to 2.7X during 2017 for a 15% annual dividend and 3.7X during 2017 for a 25% annual dividend.  Hitting 3.7X would make ICN a better dividend asset than any stock on NASDAQ and make ICONOMI a rock-star crypto on Wall Street.  

So let's look at the rock-star crypto 3.7X case.  $4.6M X 3.7 = $17M.    Profit is $17M - $4.6M = $12.4M.    Dividends to be distributed during 2017 would be 20% of that profit or $12.4M*0.20 = $2.5M.  These dividends would be distributed over 100M ICN tokens so each ICN token would receive $2.5M / 100M = 0.025 USD = 2.5 cents per ICN token over ALL of 2017.  If there was a constant weekly distribution of dividends over the 52 weeks in 2017, then the weekly distribution for each ICN would be 0.025 USD / 52 = 0.0005 USD per week or one-twentieth of a penny per week per ICN.  

So to equal the very best dividend stock on NASDAQ, ICONOMI must provide dividends per individual ICN token of $0.0005 USD per week or 0.025 USD total during all of 2017.

This analysis ignores other income streams besides ICNP.  This also ignores buying still more ICN weekly with your dividends for a compounding effect.

Getting back to the quote at the top of this post, EVERYBODY would be very satisfied with $0.10 weekly dividend per individual ICN.  This would mean ICONOMI would be paying out out $0.10 * 52 = $5.20 during 2017 on each ICO $0.1257 ICN token.  They would need $5.20 * 100M = $520M in cash to distribute as dividends to meet this 0.10USD per week per ICN target.  If this half-billion dollar dividend pool came from 20% of ICNP total profits, then the ICNP profits need to be $520M/0.2 = $2.6 billion.  With a B.  Growing the ICNP from its current $4.6M to $2.6046B is a multiplier of 566X, in a direct comparison of the 3.7X multiplier above that would make ICONOMI a NASDAQ rock star.

Hope is a good thing for the human mind to have.  Math is a better thing for the human mind to have.

Now, is ICN a panic sell if they can't hit a ridiculous 566X profit multiplier and turn ICNP into a multi-billion dollar fund in under 12 months to feed everybody's totally unrealistic dreams of $0.10 weekly profits per ICN?  Not at all.

ICN IS NOT A PANIC SELL WHEN YOU SUDDENLY REALIZE THE TRUTH ABOUT IT.   IT IS A DEFINITE BUY.

ICONOMI is not aimed at crypto children that don't know enough math to realize when their dreams are ridiculous.  ICONOMI is aimed at traditional fiat investors that currently have WAY WAY WAY more money to invest than the entire total in crypto right now.  And those traditional fiat investors are all crazy starved for income yield since the central banks have collapsed interest rates to zero over the past eight years.  

IF ICONOMI CAN HIT A 3.7X MULTIPLIER FOR ICNP TO BECOME BETTER THAN ANY OTHER NASDAQ DIVIDEND INVESTMENT, TRADITIONAL INVESTORS WILL POUR HUGE AMOUNTS INTO BUYING UP ICN TOKENS TO SECURE THAT DIVIDEND LEVEL FOR THEMSELVES.

Traditional fiat investors do not live in the crypto dream fantasy world of hoping for 566X multipliers on crypto-ICO performance funds.  They live in the real world where they will pour HUGE sums of money into purchasing any investment that can give them a 25% annual return on their money.  

That may be ICN tokens very soon, if ICONOMI can turn $4.6M into $17M during 2017 by investing ICNP funds into startup crypto efforts.

And you certainly should not panic about putting your money into something that could quite easily give you 25% or more return on your investment annually.

I was trying to say coins were only released less than three weeks ago so it's too early to expect dramatic progress yet.  

I've been to Hawaii three times in the past 40 years, it is one of the most spectacular and beautiful places on Earth.  I have made a special effort all three visits to see not just Hono but also Hilo and the Volcano Park.  I am sure I will come again and I will definitely drop by for a visit.  

Try to get those telescopes built in the meantime.  I am a big space science buff and we need those things built.

I too am very interested in keeping large sums on the blockchain instead of fiat or banks.  The world is changing and the little guy is getting screwed.  All central banks have pushed interest rates to zero to make people spend more money and encourage consumption / growth in the economy.  This has destroyed people's savings as individuals and has destroyed capitalism as a business model in Europe and North America.  Now the central banks are interested in NEGATIVE interest rates because raising interest rates  now would drive national budgets into bankruptcy.  Negative interest rates are stealth taxes by central banks that national governments don't have the guts to  implement themselves.  In order for central banks to start doing negative interest rates, first they have to destroy cash as an alternate safe haven for the little guys to place their savings.  This is why all the large denomination bills in all countries are under attack.  In the US there are serious proposals to get rid of the $100 and $50 bills.  I believe this would have happened in the first year of a Clinton presidency and why I am THRILLED that Trump won - even if he is crazy.

This is a great infographic and I encourage you to improve it.  

I suggest a pile of gold coins behind the guy in the chair.  Put your phrase "The more ICN you hold" over this pile of coins, and put the phrase "the more weekly ETH dividends you receive" under the conveyor belt.

Maybe put a ICN / BTC chart behind the gold coins with an upward zig-zag arrow?  Maybe with a question mark?  Showing that the ICN you hold could become more valuable with time?

True.  I have been burned in the past for large sums by going with only what I read about a crypto person, and I have taken a risk in doing so again here.  But I believe in Jani and his team, their record is impressive.  

Would I be happier if ICN had a little pop at launch and permanently stayed above ICO price?  Of course.  And I am disappointed that has not happened.  But everybody's sense of time is so skewed in the crypto world.  We are less than three weeks from ICN distribution and it is not reasonable to expect huge progress on the actual platform yet.  I am patient.

I have broken the number one rule of investing by putting all my available crypto resources on one trade here.  Why?  I am too much of a poker player, I like that thrill of being "all-in".  Plus, I am not a rich man in real life.  I have a job and not enough saved for retirement.  My investment in ICN is a huge amount of money, but it is the culmination of two years of crypto trading starting from a much smaller sum that I could afford to lose.  My finances in real life are completely seperate (and much less dramatic) that my crypto investments.  My goal is to get in on a BTC / ETH level of pop and then pull it all out and retire.  (Or maybe leave it in and live off ICONOMI dividends?  We'll see...) I believe ICONOMI can get me where I want to go, but it will take time.  More time than 16 days.  And with a few dips between here and there.

My "cold wallet" is not on paper, it is on a completely isolated computer not attached to the Internet.  I have made multiple copies of the passcode and key file but I never attach the backup USB thumb drive containing the private key file to any computer on the Internet.


That's an interesting question.  I did a bit of searching on Google and I can't find anything that would let me encode something using my ETH private key file address for this account number to show I am actually in control of this account number.   Anybody have any ideas on how to do that?  I am running myetherwallet on my air-gapped computer where the key file is....

I'm all for getting on as many exchanges as possible.  But let's face facts.  Kraken is already 4X bigger than Bittrex.  And Poloniex is 3X bigger than Kraken.

Question:  How many Lisk does ARK need to hit their 2000 BTC minimum target?

Well, according to coinmarketcap.com, BTC is currently worth 705 USD each, and Lisk is currently worth 0.21 USD each.



So 2000 * 705 = $1,410,000, call it $1.4M even for ARK to hit their minimum donation level.

So in Lisk instead of BTC, ARK needs 1.4M / 0.21 =  6,666,666.66666666 Lisk

That's not me.  I'm not buying now only because I've already put all my available crypto resources into the ICONOMI ICO.  And I'm HODLING.

ICONOMI:  No mining.  No forging.  No coin inflation.  No timing or synchronization problems among members.  No huge backlogs against a 7 tps limit.  No development of new programming languages.  No titanic disasters that lose tens of millions of dollars from a software bug.  No flame wars about corrupt foundations and purity of immutability.  No gigantic blockchain files that get more and more sluggish with every gigabyte.

ICONOMI focuses solely on setting up a gigantic slide for new people to use in pouring new money into crypto.   And catching some of that money on its way down the slide.  This is a brilliant and ultimately lucrative idea worth HODLING for.

And that's EXACTLY why I'm ignoring mild value swings in ICN price and HODLING.

We're always gonna be using the value of the least volatile currency to compare what's happening between other currencies.  Today, and probably tomorrow, that's the USD.   Eventually BTC may become less volatile that the US Dollar.  But not yet.

You bought at 20k sat when BTC was at 605 USD/BTC, so 0.00020*605 = 0.121 USD per ICN.

Now you've got 16k sat with BTC is at 706 USD/BTC, so 0.00016*706 = 0.113 USD per ICN.

0.113/0.121 = 0.933 which means ICN currently has 93.3% of its ICO value.

ICN is not even down 7% from its ICO value.  Stop saying the situation is 3 times worse than it really is.

Math.  It's one of humanity's greatest achievements.  Use it.
