561  Economy / Economics / Re: Where did you first heard about Bitcoins? on: May 14, 2016, 07:16:35 AM

563  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-05-12] The Blockchain is the new Google on: May 12, 2016, 07:00:04 AM
At its core, the blockchain is a technology that permanently records transactions in a way that cannot be later erased but can only be sequentially updated, in essence keeping a never-ending historical trail. This seemingly simple functional description has gargantuan implications. It is making us rethink the old ways of creating transactions, storing data, and moving assets, and that’s only the beginning.

The blockchain cannot be described just as a revolution. It is a tsunami-like phenomenon, slowly advancing and gradually enveloping everything along its way by the force of its progression. Plainly, it is the second significant overlay on top of the Internet, just as the Web was that first layer back in 1990. That new layer is mostly about trust, so we could call it the trust layer.

564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: paypal or bitcoin? on: May 09, 2016, 03:56:58 AM

there really is no risk with Bitcoin. There are frameworks out there suvh as Stripe that make paying in Bitcoin a hitch. all you need is to hire a programmer who knows how to work with Bitcoin.

it's good idea, i think in each companies have technical special to keep the data from hackers, but sometimes the trouble come from goverment, because only small country use bitcoin as currency.
565  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: May 09, 2016, 03:34:51 AM
Bitcoin or gold? This question has no clear answer.
The most important rule of investing is distribution of risk. In this case (with only two options) you have to choose both, so Bitcoin and gold.

if you know the distribution risk you know bitcoin is better choice than gold, we can trace bitcin distribution anywhere any time.
566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: paypal or bitcoin? on: May 09, 2016, 03:00:06 AM
Less scam risk with paypal if you're the buyer
It doesn't have any price fluactuation either. However, in the end, PayPal and BTC have their pros and cons in different situations. I hope that BTC becomes more popular and many other online shopping sites like EBAY and AMAZON adopt it.  Smiley Smiley Smiley

in fact if you are seller it's very risk to accept paypal as payment processor, buyer can refund his money after transaction done Roll Eyes
567  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: earn 0.5 btc on: May 09, 2016, 02:53:32 AM
Buy an account for 0.5 at least hero then set a signature and post as much as the signature allow you, but you won't earn 0.5 that way, you need to trade

not a good idea to buy a hero member with high prices, you can get a hero member with a cheap price. I've seen some people sell their hero member accounts around 0.25-0.3BTC
I don't know how much it cost, I just threw 0.5, of course it could cost less
if you want to buy an account to join the signature campaign, I advice you to buy the full potential member account at a low price, then you build it up to the highest rank. it further shorten the time and not a lot of expenditure.

Starting with full member is good, but I advice to invest some more and buy higher ranked account as the payouts for higher rank account are more and you can recover your money very soon.

in fact in this time all signature campaign is closed for new member, better to find other way, don't use signature campaign as sidejob. it's just bonus for each your posting on bitcointal.org
568  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: May 09, 2016, 02:47:35 AM
I think that's possible for me but not now of course, because nowadays i don't get the enough income only from Bitcoin, may be in the future that's will be possible and easy for every body
yeah if bitcoin might have become mainstream and many people already think bitcoin currency as real and we can shop anything around us with bitcoin then I would try to find a job in bitcoin
I already have plans for this

and you will be late, this time we know some way to be fulltime on bitcoin, we can trade bitcoin, we can work as writer at cointellegraph or other news site,or we can get job like campaign manager etc.

if you can go full time on bitcoin, i prefered you start go fulltime on bitcoin now before you late
569  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: paypal or bitcoin? on: May 09, 2016, 02:44:48 AM
in first time im interesting with online earning, im use paypal, because paypal is very famous, very popular. but i get some problem with document id, we must have CC etc. so im searching other payment processor like payeer but the fee is very high. after i know bitcoin, im use bitcoin everyda and never get any problem Smiley

So bitcoin is my choice.
Not only is Bitcoin much better than PayPal but another benefit is that you don't need to go through any kind of verification in order to start using it.

And another great thing is that Bitcoin doesn't freeze your money like PayPal very often like to do. Cheesy

Yeah I find it convenient to use bitcoin rather than paypal but still there are certain measurements that why I'm using paypal because most of the companies that I'm working with doesn't even know what bitcoin is.

Thats one of biggest problem of bitcoin the fact you hadent were to buy and sell stuff for bitcoin now there is openbazar i havent tryed it as i need to dowload something to start and be able to see the market there ,but i believe its now possible to cover the thing of ¨there is no place that works with bitcoin¨.I left paypal since i joined bitcoin i dont need anymore paypal i can do anything from my bitcoin wallet.
the problem can be solved faster if we can introduce bitcoin to our client, companies, relation etc. if he accept paypal, im sure he willl accept bitcoin too, we can give him some way to accept bitcoin like use Bitpay service etc.
570  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-05-09] Swiss Town Experiments Allowing Payment Via Bitcoin on: May 09, 2016, 02:40:18 AM
The bitcoin world is experiencing a bit of a controversy at the moment. Just last week, an Australian revealed that he is the creator of bitcoin, but his claims have since been met with a lot of skepticism which was not helped by the fact that he has since declined to provide further proof that can corroborate his claims.

That being said controversy aside, the bitcoin cryptocurrency appears to be chugging along just fine and it seems that over in Switzerland in the Swiss town of Zug, they have recently announced that they will begin a trial in which they will allow people to start paying for public services via the bitcoin standard.

571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you store your bitcoins? on: May 09, 2016, 02:35:50 AM
You mean just hold bitcoin? like for years? if yes, then nope... i dont.
I do use a wallet to store my bitcoins but they are constantly moving. investment, payments and other stuffs.
Managing wallet bitcoin is a important thing, whether for investment, payments and other thing, if you want to alocate your spendable amount or short term investment, online wallet like blockchain, info might be a good choice, for long term investment or high volume i prefer to keep them safe on the ofline wallet

yeah it's true fact, we must manage it. if we want to invest for long term better to use bitcoin QT backup (wallet.dat) or we can use paper wallet. for daily usage i suggest to use 3rd wallet with 0 fee like coinbase or xapo.
572  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How earn Bitcoins fast and free?? on: May 09, 2016, 01:39:35 AM
Well since you are a newbie to the bitcoin world, try starting small. Even though many would say bitcoin faucets pay really little, its a good way to start, and build up for investments like lending (BTCJam).

Try my site TipBits for some bitcoin earning games and sites, and perhaps it would be more fun earning bitcoins! Wish you luck! Cheesy

573  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-05-09] Why The Chinese Dominate Bitcoin Trading on: May 09, 2016, 01:36:13 AM
What is the national pastime of China? If you answered gambling, you probably have a few Chinese friends. What is the national pastime of Chinese business people? If you answered tax evasion, corruption and money laundering, then you’ve tried to do business in China. When a handful of businessmen merged these two pastimes, they made a fortune by building casinos in Macao. Now, the Chinese government is cracking down on Macau, but cultures don’t change—they find new outlets. Is Bitcoin the next combination of these pastimes?

I’ll be honest, until about a month ago, I hadn’t thought much about Bitcoin. It seemed like a fringe product for people to buy illicit goodies. Then, a friend forwarded me a chart of Chinese Bitcoin usage and I saw the light. Over the past two years, the Chinese went from a negligible percentage of daily Bitcoin trading volume to between 90% and 95% of the trading volume. That’s a huge increase in usage. They can’t all be buying Bath Salts and Moly and a quick google search laid out a number of creative schemes to launder money out of China using Bitcoin. The wealthy have Macau and now the peasants have Bitcoin for moving their wealth out of China.

574  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-05-08] cryptocoinsnews : Bitcoin Price And Cost Of Mining Production on: May 08, 2016, 03:29:51 PM
For better insight into long-term bitcoin price, and its relation to block reward halving events, we consider the cost of production of Bitcoin mining.

When calculating the cost of mining production, several variables come into play, namely, capital costs such as ASIC equipment expenditure and infrastructure, as well as, operational costs such as electricity, cooling, etc. Geographical location influences costs because different locations have differing rates for power, have different climates and variable internet connectivity.

The above costs are calculated alongside the mining operation’s hashrate and the protocol’s current mining difficulty in order to arrive at the miner’s effective cost to produce one bitcoin. Different methods for calculating production costs yield different average amounts, but for our purposes we’ll refer to Adam S. Hayes’s 2015 paper “A Cost of Production Model for Bitcoin“.

For I know I save on blockchain because it make me easier to manage my wallet for everywhere and anytime.
Ofcourse if something happen on blockchain, I'm already back up it's private key on my offline wallet

im use mycellium for my 2nd wallet, backup blockchain privekey and import it in my mycellium wallet, so if blockchain error, im still can acces with mycellium wallet Roll Eyes
The most people are storing their Bitcoin on their own wallet and maybe also on their own PC because they think that is the safest method for them. But of course you can always be hacked and that is quite bad but I use Blockchain and that is quite safe as well.

you say " you can always be hacked" but you use blockchain.info Huh LOL  Cheesy
so you think blockchain.info is more safe than mycellium on my android phone ? and electrum wallet on my PC ?
577  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-05-08] cointelegraph : Bitcoin Price Analysis (Week of May 8th) on: May 08, 2016, 03:14:12 PM
After fortifying at a medium-term resistance line, Bitcoin’s price has undergone a turn to growth. The level of $450.5 could’ve become the peak of a correction preceding a downward trend, but the bears were a minority. Bitcoin’s price is now close to a significant resistance line, where long-term bears could activate and win the advantage.

578  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: May 08, 2016, 03:08:53 PM

If the current price is higher then what you bought then I think you should sell some of your coins and generate  profits from it rather then holding long.

each people have goal point, some of them thinking by precentage, if his profit reach arround 10%, 20% , 50%  he will sell his bitcoin.
im altcoin trader, and take middle profit arround 10-15% .

so if people who trust blockhalving make the price rise again, better to sell if you get 5% and holding some until the block halving done.

So bitcoin is my choice.

Yeah and bitcoin is getting more popular day by day and  there will be increase in the customers when bitcoin will gain more popularity and will get rid of Paypal.

Don't forget that still there are many paypal users all around the globe. And don't know about bitcoins yet. But if they will have a chance
to know bitcoins there will shift into using bitcoins rather than paypal.

in first time , if i need something, topup mobile phone, renew hosting, buying domain etc. i will ask to use bitcoin before other payment.
no people can freeze my bitcoin wallet is the best reason why we must use it.
