561  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to get VIP Signals? on: December 04, 2020, 07:53:53 PM
I think the better question is how to not get signals and learn to trade for yourself. You've got to ask yourself - why somebody who is proficient at trading share their picks for money? Trading is supposed to be very rewarding once you master it. Most vip groups are scams and want to profit from you in some way, remember this.

You will lose money following other people advice and when you do you will be so pissed off on yourself for doing it. At least if you make your own decisions you can learn from mistakes and develop your skillset.
562  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: will all countries accept crypto as currency? on: December 04, 2020, 07:18:04 PM
Countries which consider Bitcoin gambling or "money laundering" have a childish leadership in my opinion. Bitcoin is an asset comparable to Gold and regarded as investment worth by deep pockets funds around the world. Indonesiaand other countries alike will have to accept that Bitcoin is part of our reality now. Denial will only stop economic growth.
563  Other / Off-topic / Re: bitcoin whales background on: December 04, 2020, 06:18:22 PM
If someone owns a lot of Bitcoin it doesn't mean they don't have other jobs like owning a business or being a corporate man. Heck one can be still be a waiter if he likes it haha

I'm sure there are Bitcoin whales from very different background but people from IT are surely predominant. Like let's be serious. Who knew or mined Bitcoin other than people who are very passionate about technology?
564  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin profit Christmas gifts. on: November 30, 2020, 08:07:30 PM
Bitcoin is the greatest gift of all. I don't need no fancy gadgets, watch or clothing. This Xmas season be frugal guys, save your funds for future benefits. Wink

Ask yourself - would you sell your gold or silver to buy an xmas gift?

Especially in the current bullish trend I think it is quite a "uninspired move" to sell it.
565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Qortal Genesis - Future Internet Starts here - BTC active on cross-chain portal! on: November 30, 2020, 07:26:22 PM
The first time in a while I see pure hard-core developers working with a vision in mind and passion in the heart. Pretty much like Satoshi if you ask me.

Qortal is something else guys. Definitely not the typical, mediocre altcoin. Looking forward to the raffle!  Cool

566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: who are those real rich elite who invest in bitcoin ? on: November 30, 2020, 06:49:52 PM
We can't really know who they are. Even if they go public about it we can't believe their word 100%. We can be sure that the Guggenheim investors are extremely high net-worth individuals.
Raoul Pal is an extremely bullish investor (at least he seems to be in the public space).  Also Robert Kiyosaki is shilling Bitcoin all over the place. He now has 3 asset recommendations: bitcoin, gold and silver which is cool because a lot of people follow him and his teachings.
567  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin hitting ATH right now? on: November 30, 2020, 05:38:19 PM
Long live the king of the cryptocurrencies! Cheesy

It's very exciting to live during times of revolutions, especially at a global level. I'm curious to see how the market will behave once we enter the price discovery made. The last ATH should transform in a strong support zone IMO and the institutions will drive the price significantly higher, and then followed by the crowd.
568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I want to know about this game. on: November 30, 2020, 02:43:21 PM
Wow, I must say I wasn't expecting this. Congratulations to the creator for the effort. Really creative and impressive job!

However I'm not sure how scalable this is. This resembles more to a sports event than an online casino. If we bet on dogs and horses, why not do it on hamsters too? Smiley)
Make sure you reward the hamster well for the effort.
569  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to introduce bitcoin who don't know.? on: November 30, 2020, 10:44:16 AM
Quote
1. Blockchain should be the Elective or Compulsory subject at University level.
2. Traders and the people who know about the Bitcoin should held the Events monthly and yearly basis.
3. Youtubers should make simple videos to understand the bitcoin or Blockchain. In all countries and in all languages. ( That's mean there must be a youtuber from every country)

1) IMO blockchain should not be a compulsory subject at university level. You can't tell an electric engineer that he needs to learn about blockchain. Perhaps for database IT study programs, blockchain should represent a compulsory domain for study, but again - blockchain is not yet implemented at a level which obligates people to learn about it.

2) I think there are plenty of events organised in the crypto sphere especially in the digital space. Just look at all the youtubers that create content around it. As a matter of fact I have just watched Robert Kiyosaki expanding on the subject.

3) I agree. Short and simple makes the dream work! Smiley
570  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People still don't know about Bitcoin on: November 30, 2020, 06:51:18 AM
I would say that when I observe people around me (I'm from Croatia) majority heard about bitcoin but they don't really know even basics. Out of those that heard about it, most of them still have rhinos that it's some kind of ponizi/pyramid scheme made for sole purpose by the rich to steal money from the poor and naive.

I know it sounds ridiculous, but that's what many people here think. What surprises me though is how many of the them are in IT business (programmers etc) and should be able to understand bitcoin concept better than some average Joe, and no amount of reasoning can change their mind.

By looking at this we can see the importance of being informed and not being ignorant. I still regret not being informed enough in the past when Bitcoin has been launched and nobody knew about it.

Moreover, I have noticed that IT guys are overrated. Just because someone knows how to think algorithmically and write some code using a programming language, doesn't mean he/she is smarter than an engineer or a mechanic. Also there are so many branches of programming. If someone is a front-end coder, he might have never even heard about blockchain.
571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Good advice Here About Main coins btc and eth Trading as full income on: November 29, 2020, 08:36:07 PM
Your advice is basically buy low, sell high. You can't say that the price always comes back up. Remember that past price history is not an indicator of future price action.

In my opinion altcoins are much more riskier than Bitcoin. I would rather enter a long leverage position in this bullish environment than make a bag of altcoins. Just my 2 cents, though...
572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Guggenheim opens door to bitcoin exposure for $5 billion macro fund! on: November 29, 2020, 07:50:26 PM
More good news coming out of big finance.  The more and more we see big financial firms like this adopt bitcoin and cryptocurrency, the more we know this is all here to stay.  Fun fact, I used to live down the street from the owner/founder of Guggenheim..his house ( or his Chicago house ) is enormous and absolutely beautiful.  Him and his wife are actually really good people who are heavily involved in charity.

Have you had the chance to meet them or they were walking around higher social circles? Just curious. It is not hard to make a donation when you have so much money. Yeah, it is a good deed and I appreciate them for the action, but I don't think we should say that they're good people just because of that.

You should be in a pretty good financial status yourself if you lived down the street from them. Keep stackin' them! Wink
573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Guggenheim opens door to bitcoin exposure for $5 billion macro fund! on: November 29, 2020, 06:41:18 PM
We shall expect smaller investment funds to follow the footsteps of Guggenheim soon. The sheep mentality applies to professionals as well and in all industries. Wink

I have a good feeling about this intensified activity from pro investors. $100,000 might not be so far away as I thought, after all...
574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People still don't know about Bitcoin on: November 29, 2020, 04:32:57 PM
There are many people who still don't know about bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. I don't know about others I am talking about my country and about my society. Whenever I ask from people about or talk about the Bitcoin. They ask what is this?

How much there is who face this problem?

Yep, the same situation here. Although Bitcoin is making roars through the investment funds and big companies, a very small percent of the population actually knows what Bitcoin is. I don't expect the adoption to happen overnight, but I'm sure that a lot of people who standed on the fence will try to scoop up some satoshis once they see all these institutions chipping in. The numbers are a bit high so it takes a bit of education to realise that you can buy a fraction of a whole Bitcoin.
575  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin at risk of regulation? on: November 29, 2020, 02:53:05 PM
This is a sensible topic, but I'd say regulation would offer Bitcoin a massive boost towards mass adoption at the exchange of privacy. Of course that people could just not declare it and continue using it privately, but I don't see why not. I think the purpose of Bitcoin is not to confer people full anonimity, but to eliminate the middleman (aka the banks and the government) from controlling the monetary supply and overall the payment networks.

The decentralization will still be there, low fees and almost instant transactions around the world will still be there. If you look at it from this perspective, KYC is a good thing.
576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In my school, Bitcoin is now becoming a subject on: November 29, 2020, 12:18:38 PM
I'm sure that the blockchain technology is mentioned in some courses about database management at our local university as well. I am not sure about Bitcoin though.
However Bitcoin is worthy of economic history and macroeconomic courses. One can make a lot of interesting case studies on it. From supply and demand analysis, market behaviour and sentiments and so much more.
577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you scared? on: November 29, 2020, 05:47:47 AM
I think this fear is caused by not being educated/informed enough about the inner workings of Bitcoin. Humans are afraid when they are not in control of the environment and they feel insecure/unsafe. The solution is simple, people should do more research and Bitcoin promoters should organize informational campaigns.
578  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you believe support and resistance still work in crypto? on: November 28, 2020, 08:57:31 PM
As long as humans are trading the markets, emotions will be involved. Support and resistances are in fact areas of interest where , in the past, have been accompanied by a lot of buying/selling pressure.

I don't see why would this indicator won't work in any kind of market.
579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins price pump influence bitcoin price Negatively ? on: November 28, 2020, 07:47:46 PM
XRP threatening Bitcoin? It's one of the strangest things I've seen today. Who is even buying XRP over Bitcoin these days? Probably people who think that if they can't afford 1, there's no reason to buy any, but hey, they can afford more than 1 XRP... I doubt that Bitcoin and XRP even have the same people buying and holding.

Totally agree, man. And it is not just XRP, but all the other altcoins as well. I mean I don't think a smart, educated investor would place a significant % of his net worth in any altcoin whatsoever. Bitcoin on the other side is getting a lot of attention from institutions nowadays which IMO gives more confidence to retail investors.
580  Economy / Speculation / Re: Whales moving money to exchanges on: November 28, 2020, 07:05:38 PM
I've heard a few times people saying about whales moving their money to exchanges and that it implies that the price is about to drop as they sell.

I was wondering if there's any way of finding out when whales are moving there money onto the exchanges and can we take advantage of knowing when this is happening?

I did have one more question that was more out of curiosity, I get nervous when I'm transferring a fraction of a bitcoin across wallets, how do these whales securely transfer hundreds of millions of pounds without any danger of something going wrong? I'm sure they have some very secure checks and balances in place but I would be interested to know what they are.

There are bots and scripts that follow the inputs and outputs of the biggest exchange addresses. I know there are a couple of bots on Twitter and Telegram that give regular updates about big transactions - afaik almost in real time.

Manually checking the address a few times should be enough. If you don't trust your senses or need a computer check you can use an excel or word function. For example the 'find and replace' function or conditional formatting. Wink
