561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RADS] Radium - Bringing Advanced Utility to the Blockchain on: October 02, 2017, 11:13:03 PM
Dear friends, Radium supporters, and fellow crypto enthusiasts.

Many of you know, I have been in the crypto industry, and in particular Project Radium for several years. What I don’t publicly discuss very often, I am also a surgical intensive care (ICU) nurse at a major trauma center in Pennsylvania.  I have been very fortunate in my life, in that I have always had food, shelter, and a secure place to sleep, and access to medical care.  Early this morning, I received an email asking for medical volunteers to go to Puerto Rico, an island devastated by hurricane Maria, in order to keep the hospital in San Juan there operational.  It is a 2 to 3 week disaster relief effort organized by several medical unions across the United States .This is something I must do, as I cannot sit at home in comfort, when I have the opportunity to help fellow humans who no longer have homes, infrastructure, or access to healthcare.

If all goes according to plan, I will be leaving for  Puerto Rico in about 48 hours. I will have no access to hard-wired internet, and cell phone coverage is spotty at best, meaning my availability will be very limited until I return home. I have full confidence in Alaniz and Tim, and the great community of Radium supporters to answer questions and prevent mayhem while I am away.  I will check in when and however I can.  Please understand, I will only be gone about two weeks, and then I will be right back to developing for Radium!

Justin Jacobeen aka, JJ12880

That's very kind of you . It's always nice to see people giving a hand to whom it needs it . Kudos to you my friend .

Anyone else having problems getting the DEX to launch in Google Chrome? I can only seem to get mine to work properly in Microsoft Edge. In my chrome browser it just loads a blank screen.

For me it work just fine in Chrome.

How long it takes to see my balance after transition process ? Do i have to create new adresses like last time after the upgrade ?

When you read the instructions, you know everything.

I have read the instructions , from the blog post " Once you’ve done that, you will be preparing and making the transaction which involves doing the Proof of Work. After that is completed, you can now login with your new seed and your balance will most likely be confirmed within a few minutes." I've done the process almost half hour ago and still see zero balance , is it normal ?

Go to "History" in the wallet. You should see your balance as "pending". Click "show bundle" -> "reattach". Wait for 30min and it should get confirmed (usually after 1-2min). If not, reattach agsin.

Left my wallet for almost an hour and no balance showed in that time . My son closed the wallet . i reopened it and still nothing shows up . The history is empty . I used my old seed and there's no balance in the old address , also no history there . Can someone give me a hand ?

Ok , it was my mistake with one character in password , everything's fine .

Ek and coralreefer had a nice conversation yesterday night at slack . Good thing is that techy guys are interested for the project and we might see new Devs coming.
572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XEL] :: Elastic - The Decentralized Supercomputer :: on: July 06, 2017, 08:02:47 PM

I remember investing in Dash aka Darkcoin when it was a measly 0.00005 and folks like you where all over the place. "Don't invest! Devs holds all of the coins!" And in that case it was even a much different situation as Darkcoin had no such clean and months long way of distribution as Elastic. It was basically an instamine. And yet, Dash went berserk right after i bought my first stake in it.

The only thing misleading here is to lure noobs into thinking they should look at the distribution of an asset when there are things to consider much more important than that. Think about marketcap in comparison to the competition, rate of inflation or the classical risk vs reward approach. All of that in combination with passionate developers and a clear goal and vision truly matters. While your advice is basically crap when it come to successful investing. Go ahead and checkout the starting distribution of lot and lots of projects and you will find no correlation between the two parameters, be it negative or positive. It will just distract you from the parameters that really matter.

Sure when the devs hold all the coins the thing can still explode, often because those devs are the ones artificially inflating the price.

The parameters that matter depend on the scale you're looking at. Long term of course those you mentioned matter the most. Short/medium term not so much. I see this thread as an echo chamber with every page filled with "to the moon" and "best investment ever" and "stupid dumpers" and so on, but truth is newbies putting money into it right now will get burnt, because most of them won't hold long term. It's the arrogance of your community that makes me react more than anything else.

You have no marketing, the devs are anonymous, top 100 balances hold nearly 90% of coins, most of them have made a 150x return on investment at current market price so tend to cash out a part of their stash, no surprise it's going down and likely will keep going down for a while. Yea what you mentioned will matter long term, right now it doesn't.

Are you the guy who said that XEL will never make it to exchanges because it has anonymous devs or it was another troll ?

EK, Coralreefer. Could you guys answer some of these technical questions people are asking here.

Thank you !

I'd prefer that devs spend their valuable time on the most important thing that is elastic development . As we know elastic is working , devs are improving everyday the platform as far as i understand . When we get more people on board answers will be given , currently we have 4 persons who are doing everything . If we have some techy guys here other than devs who can reply to the questions it would be good to elaborate . Community asked for a lite wallet , now let them do what they need to do .
574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XEL] :: Elastic - The Decentralized Supercomputer :: on: June 28, 2017, 08:16:18 AM
Wonder why coinmarketcap data only base on heat exchange.  Huh Hope xel will be listed on other exchange soon.

Current marketcap means nothing . Lite wallet is launched only for coin distribution , community is looking to attract new devs and people who can help this project . I really like how solid this community is . Haters gonna hate , fudsters gonna fud . But at least 99.9% of people here are backing devs and project .
575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XEL] :: Elastic - The Decentralized Supercomputer :: on: June 22, 2017, 06:54:12 AM

is stellarterm.com a trustable exchange? i have no experience with it

Don't rush . This is probably an asset like HEAT . We should wait until XEL hits real exchanges .
