563  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Sould i get an APW3-12-1600 PSU for my Antminer S7? on: September 13, 2015, 04:11:30 AM
i am running a dsp-2000bb and efficiency at load is 92%, els around 96% so this means this should be platinium? while it is only silver ratad?

the big one is rated at 96% load efficiency and 98% not full loaded and this is platinium, so this should be like super platinium? Tongue  .

If there was a rating it should be Smiley.   I am very with my PSU's they are good quality, and a ton of PCIe cables.   Which is nice for newer bitmain products.

So add all of that and quality, it really is a great product overall.

I've made mine, i puted home wiring cables directly from contactes they fitted perfectly that i didn't even need to solder.

But on the end i had to make some wiring for the Pci-e molex and the home wires are to fat and hard so wired some 18awg cables from an old psu.

Tought the 18awg cables get hot it's working great, only pulling 1kw from the psu but it's been really good on the clocks and frequency nothing to comaplain  Grin.

I did look onto this PSU , but for the price i prefer to wire my own Power supply , i did pay like 50us for my psu and wiring was completly done for free .

if i had those free energy for sure i would invest deeply on a miner maybe some spondlies miners,as i know the best at the market.

Best how? They're loud, the SP20s are similar efficiency to S3. Then the bigger units are every louder and run on 240v on huge stuff. Its truly aimed at data center.

no sp20 is similar to s5 so you are way over the sea. the sp20 efficiency is really good, you can't compare the s3 to sp20 is like comparing a lada to mercedes.

This is a remote controlled computer i am trying to set up, i have a miner at home, and the computer is at a warehouse.

They are not on LAN network.

if that helps to udnerstand what i am trying to do, i have miners on the warehouse but those are fully working and don't want to put one down to test if the server is working or not as i want it for my home miner..

Sweminer, to help you further I'm going to need personal information that I don't want you to post in the forum. I'll PM you.

Why not recommend him to use a pool? It sound like he want to remotely connect to solo mine to its own node with nearly no networking knowledge. He'd probably have better return even on solo pools?

Because he didn't ask how to mine on a pool. He wants to mine to his own node and support the Bitcoin network.

correct that is what i want, i don't care if a make anything at all.
